Objects in the room:
Oooooh scary! The path in to the lakeside party is lined with carved pumpkins lit with blinking lights that flicker on and off when someone walks by. And above in the trees, the hanging candle lights are motion activated to trigger when guests arrive. Within the grounds of the Halloween event one will see a giant long table decorated much like the one in the grand hall of Hogwarts. Upon this table are fantastical urns holding arrays of candied sugar plums, giant swirling lolli-pops, a pyramid of candied apples, and mint toads with white crystal sugar sprinkles. There also giant crystal urns on the table with Halloween wrapped sticks of randomly flavored beef jerky. The table holds giant candelabras with faux candles surrounded by silver white chocolate spiders, and goblets of pumpkin juice for guests to enjoy. The food display upon the large table holds tiny tacos set up with olives and sour cream to look like eyes staring upward; there's a platter of deviled eggs with sliced black olives looking like fat-bottomed spiders. A tray of little sausages mummy-wrapped in dough sits next to a tray of 'severed fingers' bleeding from the nails that are actually jelly-filled shortbread cookies. There is a carved jack-o-lantern with a simmering bowl of pumpkin and squash soup inside, two bowls of pumpkin seeds labeled "spicy" and "cinnamon", and a big garlic baked brie Cthulhu with a head full of spinach dip. There is a theme-less side table set up for humbugs. The theme-less side of the table has a large tray of sliced-up wrap sandwiches split into turkey, ham, roast beef, and veggie, as well as a tray of make-your-own sandwich goodies for those who'd rather. Three crock pots simmer, and are labeled "Dr. Pepper Meatballs", "Four Cheese Dip", and "French Toast Cinnamon Roll Casserole". There's a big bowl of potato salad and another of mixed fruit salad, several different kinds of chips, a tray of veggies... it's a lot of food.
Entertainment: There are several booths set up on the main path near the boating dock where guests can play games to win more prized candies, wildly wrapped flavored jerky, Prize Vouchers for the Halloween baked goods table, and small bottles of booze labeled 'Witches Brew', 'Frog Juice', and 'Werewolf Blood'. The prizes are encouraged for guests to add them to their pumpkin bucket that they are given as party favors upon arrival.
The Game Booths: 1. The Haunted Well: Guests receive a fishing rod and lower it down into the booth well. When the pole comes up, the prize is attached by a clothespin. Interesting findings do come back. Fortune cards, candy, jerky, a dangling bottle of Halloween brew, or tricks such as a dirty sock. Please feel free to rp and npc the booth attendant hiding in the well. Yes, there is someone hiding in the well! 2. The Black Cat: This booth holds colored balloons of black cats, bats, and spiders. Throw the dart and pop the balloon and inside is a voucher that states your prize. 3. Halloween Rings Game: This booth holds crates upon crates of wine bottles. These bottles have special Halloween labels - 'Toadstool Rum', 'Frankenstein's Formaldehyde', 'Vampire's Tea', 'Bat Juice', 'Ghostly Ectoplasm', and 'Scary Eebie Jeebies'. Some are alcohol, others are non-alcohol teas, or juices. Throw the ring, and if it lands, you win the prize. 4. Bobbing for Apples: You got it. A good time oldie. There's towels provided for those getting wet, and those who don't like water? There is a provided table with wrapped candied apples to take home. 5. Beverage Booth: You got it. Open bar, with choices of mixed drinks as supplies last. There's also pumpkin juice, a butterbeer knock off with foam, gilly water, and dragon ale. 6. Haunted Boat Ride: There's two canoes, and one rowboat by the docks that people can take out to paddle around the lake. The spooks are hidden motion sensored things that go off in between the trees and on the island if you get too close. Guests can feel free to pose what happens, seeing spooky things in between the trees moving, or random ghastly ghost sounds in the dark. Enjoy!
When guests begin arriving, Dumbledore claps his hands and the shorter version of him lifts his elder wand up to magically turn the lights on up over the party tables. "Lumos!" All the lights turn on at once and illuminate the food tables, and the rest of the gaming area. "Welcome everyone, to our Halloween Celebration."
Standing a little to one side of the miniature Dumbledore is the Homemade Ghost. Hunched and leaning slightly forward in an ungainly, almost off-balance way. As Dumbledore greets guests, the bed sheet ghost in the Slytherin robes aggressively brandishes a plastic, pumpkin basket toward the first arrivals. Beside her is a neat stack of dozens more just like it. "Take this," is said in a muffled near-grunt, "It is yours. For prizing."
Dumbledore tucks his elder wand back into his sash and moves to the front of the path where guests now wander in. A smile goes to the Ghost Girl who is helping, "Hello! Hello!" It's Xenovia with a wispy gruffed up voice. She pats her beard to make sure it's still in place.
Dumbledore peers over at Slytherin girl ghost. "Ten points to Slytherin for the best costume of the evening. Very creative, indeed."
Khol comes walking up with Johanna on his arm, he is several inches taller than usual, and dressed as Dracula, Lugosi style. Johanna is of course, the Bride of Dracula. The two of them approach the clearing just as things are kicking off.
Robert enters Master Bobby, Jedi Knight. Hooded Robe, leather boots, and homespun tunic. He offers his host(ess) a bow as they gather.
Dúnedain is standing up on a ladder and doing the finishing touches on hanging lights. Ghost-on-Water is helping him so that between the two of them, they can finish up the last string, along with a few paper lanterns. The Ranger, who is Lleutrim, glances back down the ladder, "That's the last one, isn't it?" Ghost, who is not in costume yet, nods, "Yeah, come on down before you break your neck." Donnachaidh grins and does so, his bow as well as his guitar set to lean against a tree until they were done with the lights. "Let's get this ladder put away. It's time."
Jillian was dressed up! yes... someone actually told her it was a costume party. Unfortunately when animal borns pick out costumes they are never exactly what their human counterparts would. Jill is dressed .. wearing an oversized picnic basket round her slender form.. credit given to hand painted props of food that can be seen along with some real finger food snacks. She moves in, as she picks something out of her basket and begins to munch on it
Paul comes out of the woods with Robert, and glances around the area with a grin on his face. Paul is dressed like a Northern King, with a tunic that is brown suede and leather that hangs to his thighs, and a full-length linen cape that has a luxurious faux fur collar and fastens with leather straps and a metal buckle. He has on leather gloves with wide flared cuffs, and leather boots that ride up to his knees.
Dumbledore welcomes in Khol and Johanna, like a receiving line as people enter within. "Make sure you get your party buckets everyone." He gestures with his wand over to the Homemade Ghost wearing Slytherin robes. "Make sure you try the food. I hear it's.. to die for." Xenovia attempts to make a Dumbledore laugh. She waves to Paul and Robert next, and then Westley and Buttercup, Dre and Jillian.
Standing by the buffet table and stirring the cheese dip is the giant roly-poly alabaster pudge of Baymax, standing tall enough that it HAS TO BE Skully. The helmet even makes little zoomy-electrical sounds when it moves. He lifts the ladle from the dip, bringing it up to sniff, and nods to himself before replacing it and stepping away. The food is ready.
Although Dumbledore has spoken to her, the ghost wrapped up in Slytherin robes only turns her body to look at him through the holes in the bed sheet. She has been awarded points, but she doesn't speak in reply. Instead, she turns away to carry one of the pumpkin baskets toward the next person to pass nearby. Once the basket is accepted, she returns to her post, picking up another empty basket and turning to lurch toward the next empty-handed person to pass by: Paul.
The ghost girl stalks toward him with an awkward, shuffling step, then brandishes the pumpkin kiddy basket at him with a gruff, "Take this."
Having rented a luxury vehicle for the evening, Westley and Buttercup arrive together, walking up the path to the lakeside party hand-in-hand. When they start getting to tables with theme decorations, Westley grins his pencil thin moustache, and starts taking a look at the Harry Potter stuff.
Jillian moves inside the picnic basket and it follows her as she bumps her way over to the buffet table.... oooooh. The girl starts to pile things from the table into her basket, "winter is coming."
Johanna grins showing off her fangs to Dumbledore. "The party looks fantastic!" She points to BaymaxSkully and has to giggle. "I think we need to go get a hug!"
Paul widens his eyes playfully as the ghost hands him the basket, "Wow... never met a ghost before. This place looks fantastic!" He takes it obediently from the ghost girl, "Thank ye, Ma'am."
Khol laughs and accepts the pumpkin basket from the Slytherin ghost. "Thank you" he does his best rolling Dracula accent, which isn't really all that good. "Hugs it is" he agrees with his 'bride' as he looks around.
Buttercup follows along once something catches Westley's attention, one hand holding onto his still, the other reaching out to snag herself a candy frog in passing. She grins up at him, biting the head off of it before holding the rest out if he wants to try a little himself.
Robert pats Paul on the shoulder as he reaches for a basket from the ghost. "Amazing job. Last minute costume shopping for myself. "
Finally, Severus Snape appears form the house. His wand isn’t in hand, but it must be somewhere. Or rather, the form of Aleksandr as Snape, dressed in long black robes, he undoubtedly did not pick out for himself. He doesn’t really understand the whole custom and dressing up, but his hair is just right, the look works. Add to that the somewhat small frown on his face as he walks outside feeling a little ridiculous, well he could just be a younger Snape, even has the facial expression. He looks around the place, all the people gathered, bowing a head here and there, and looking just a touch out of place.
Paul says, “Don't let him fool you. He wanted to be a Jedi." He waves over to those he can actually recognize, and tries to figure out who some of the others are. Without having his head covered, or make up on it is fairly easy to recognize him although his hair is tamed down neatly tonight as befitting a King.”
Baymax shuffles away from the table -- yep, he's even walking appropriately -- and stops in front of Drakhola and his bride. He pauses, holding up a hand, and makes a circle wave before hitting a little button on his off-hand palm. It plays an audio clip from his face that says, "Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion."
"For prizes," The Slytherin ghost answers Paul. If she smiles in reply, it can't be detected in any change of her voice, and her face, of course, is invisible. Then she is back to giving baskets to new arrivals. "It is yours," she answers Khol's thanks. "Keep this. Prizes." Is the grunt to Robert. Then she is turning and stalking back to the stack of plastic pumpkin baskets, scooping up one in each hand, and turning to look over the crowd. Anyone that carries such a basket already is skimmed over, until she sights on her next target: Baymax. She starts toward him with a purposeful step, two baskets in hand.
"Oh no! There's a Picnic basket! Where's Yogi the bear?" The Dúnedain calls out towards 'Jillian'. Lleu chuckles and once the ladder is put up, he slips his bow and quiver over his back and picks up his guitar to walk over where hay bales have been stacked so he and Sean, or anyone else for that matter, can play music tonight. Ghost-on-Water has already set out a flute and drums, then gone to change into his own costume of a ghost, of course.
The Princess Bride pair get a smile from the Dúnedain, "Nice." He looks around at all the costumes and then starts to walk over and see if he can't get a beer poured into his tankard. His face is uncovered so anyone who knows Lleutrim can spot him even if his hair and beard have been darkened for tonight.
Jillian continues to pull food from the buffet table and places it into her basket, piling as much as she can inside the worn basket around her... she looks pleasantly pleased with how well the basket is working out for her. She looks up as Dúnedain calls out to her and she waves softly "would you like something?" she calls as she lomps on over to him with her chunky basket bobbing round her form.
Poking at the items on the table, when offered, Wesley moves his unoccupied hand, with a softly lopsided smile on his lips. He doesn't bother holding out his hand for the headless frog, both his mouth, for Buttercup to feed him. After all, he got this Rodent Of Unusual Size wound. It's the least she can do, right?
Branton comes walking into the party in a blue spandex body suit, black gloves and boots with a stylized badge of a number four on his chest. He's carrying a canvas tote that looks like it's packed with things.
Johanna giggles as 'Baymax' greets them. "My personal healthcare companion? How did I get so lucky! It is so nice to meet you, Baymax. Can I have a hug?" She is just tickled to see so many in costumes tonight and it looks like everyone is enjoying the party so far.
Dumbledore sees Branton and the Bud Light Knight coming in through the pumpkin patch path, and waves them over. "Welcome! Come on in and join the festivities." It's Xenovia beneath the white beard. She tries to not cough on the jelly-bean she just swallowed. She chuckles, and gets back into character. "Number four, a lucky number of the evening. Ten points to Ravenclaw for the blue." The wizard's eyes scan over the Knight coming in next. "Aha! Who enacted the guardian spell to the grounds?"
Dre walks in with a pair of black leather pants, with a tactical look to him, with a black under armor short and tactical vest with a long coat. He has fake pointed ears and a wolf muzzle and wolf like eyes. He has a black trench coat with a long black Katanas sheathed behind him with pistols holstered at his hips. He looks around as he sees everyone dressed up.
Paul says, “Wow, some of these costumes are way more inventive." He catches sight of Branton, and nudges Robert, waving to Branton. "I know that costume, he's the fire guy in that movie."”
Snape hasn’t put any effort into makeup, but there isn’t a lot to do, so it’s pretty clear it’s Aleksandr and that he’s been convinced to dress this way. He probably doesn’t even know Harry Potter. Just being a good sport. He sees Dumbledore wave to him and moves over towards the short little man, and does something no one has probably seen in Harry Potter, he leans down and kisses Dumbledore on the cheek before whispering something to the great wizard. This Hogwarts is a little friendlier.
Dúnedain stops, empty tankard in hand and looks to Jillian when she comes over to him, "I don't believe we have met, however, yes. I'd much love to have a double beer ere I begin to play any music tonight." He just set down his guitar case over with the straw bales along with the other musicians' instruments. "Looks like a great gathering tonight." It is supposed to be a Gaian only event so Lleu lifts his right hand and begins to make Faerie lights to go bobbing and weaving through the celebrants! He manages a couple of them to start!
Buttercup's shoulders move in a soundless laugh and she lifts the remains of the candy frog up, gently popping it in Westley's mouth. While he's leaned over she plants a kiss on his cheek, then looks back to the group as it continues to grow. She licks a bit of chocolate off her fingers before they move, then reach to hook around his arm, hugging him to her side.
Baymax shuffles forward, arms outstretched, and carefully puts them around Johanna, giving her back a careful, measured pat-pat-pat before he pushes another button that projects, "On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your pain?". There are apparently several different recordings in there. Oh my. Oh, and his chest lit up with the pain scale diagram!
Clang Clang Clang
Walking down the path is the Bud Light Knight. He pauses to Dumbledore and tips his head in greeting, "M'Lady...er...wizard." his voice a low rumble. Under that helmet is a see through black mesh, so he can see but who the hell knows who it is that is clamoring around as the knight at the moment.
Jillian says, “Double Bear?" she asks blinking a little as she watches him set his guitar case down, "have not seen any twin cubs..." she says not really knowing what it is he is asking, she dose hand him a pastry though! "Jill." she says quietly "Jill is happy to be meeting new friends". she smiles happily to him before she offers Dre a wave "Hi Wolf!" she calls out”
The bed sheet ghost takes a moment to give one of the two pumpkin baskets she carries away, grunting, "Prizes," to whoever was passed the item. Then, she steps past them and has reached the massive Baymax. She shuffles back a half-step when his costume lights up with that pain scale, then brandishes a plastic pumpkin basket up at the much larger man. Rather than her normal grunt, grumble, or near growl, she shouts across the three feet distance to him: "PRIZES!"
And there they go! Faerie lights go dancing over the heads of those who are gathering for tonight's party! One goes to zoom around Baymax's head and then briefly tucks itself in Dumbledore's beard! Another goes bobbing around just out of reach, dipping down and then suddenly up if anyone tries to catch it!
Naiche is just terrible when it comes to costume. Naiche doesn't know enough about dressing up- so instead- he just.. literally dresses up. Somehow, Naiche has managed to shower, and start wearing a suit, with a bowtie- and just generally looks clean-shaven and pleased with himself, even as Naiche has been tasked with apple bobbing.. which involve Naiche just sitting down on the ground, his hands in his lap, hands tapping on his knees as he hums ever so cheerfully, big smiles and big cheers. He was totally here all the time! Totally! Naiche is a good boy! Very good, very cheerful.
Tilting his head softly, Westley gets the kiss square on his check and then watches while Buttercup signs to him. He nods, while chewing chocolate frog, maybe hoping there isn't a nasty surprise inside, and returns the gestures although his are slower and much less proficient. Looking up and around, Westley, Dread Pirate Roberts, nods towards Paul and the less so pirate Robert.
Dúnedain smiles, "BEER, not bear. A man of Westerness must have beer. Or, pipeweed will do." The pastry is nonetheless accepted now he's sent of will-o-wisp looking lights to go floating about. "Thank you. I think I spy where the drinks are. Excuse me." He nods to many here he knows, finding some bottles of beer and opening two of them to fill up his tankard. Everyone looks happy and the costumes are great. Lleu lifts up his voice, "Where ever Johanna is in this gathering tonight, CONGRATULATIONS on your new rank!" He lifts his beer then takes a drink. A moment later he starts back to where he's left his guitar.
Dumbledore accepts the kiss to the cheek from Severus Snape and then leans in to hear the whisper of the potions professor. Dumbledore nods a few times, and explains something back to him within the receiving line about classes, and noble moments. Xenovia, under the beard, definitely leans in to wrap an arm around Snape's robe and squeezes him before letting go. "Aha, yes Sir Knight." She gestures to Snape, "One of our Knights has just arrived." A wink goes to the Knight, and she waves over to Naiche who looks spiffy in his tie. "Perhaps we should usher people over to the bar. I could use some dragon ale, how about you all?"
Dumbledore looks down at his lit up beard. 'Cool.'
Johanna looks to Khol after the pat-pat-pat hug from Baymax. "My pain level is at 2 right now. But it will be lower when I get to taste some of the yummy food I can smell." She just loves this costume of Skully's! She hears Lleu call out about her rank, and the Vampiress calls back, "Thank you!"
Blade is impressed with the costumes that he sees himself, he can't help but chuckle at a few as he moves through the group of people here at the party. His stroll is serious as he moves, having studied how Blade moved in the movies. He does move to one of the cooler to get a beer and as he grabs his beer he finds a place to lean against a tree and just watch everyone, his dark sunglasses taking in the others for now.
Paul does try to catch a fairy light, and chuckles when he can't. He nods back to everyone that waves and nods, and by his face he is having a grand time. He catches sight of the food, and heads over there. Looking it over he grabs an egg and says, "Never seen tacos that look back at you!"
Khol grins broadly and pats Skully-bay on the back "Nice." he then waves to The Ranger-Lleu "Hey!' he seems in a good mood, then offers to Johanna "Well , my bride, go ahead and mill around, I'll go get you a plate.. "
Jillian sighs as she eats food from her own basket, she looks a little sad when her new friend wandered off.. a smile then back on her features as she meanders over to Khol.
Fear for your virtue, nymphs! There is a satyr in the place. Or maybe it's just Sean dressed like one. He comes up the path, holding his flute, tapping it against his leg as he moves on through. He looks around nice and slow, hoping to catch sight of.. someone.. that he knows.
Snape nods a little to what Dumbledore tells him. The old wizard is so wise, it seems. He seems pensive for a long moment and then turns back to Dumbledore. “I am not sure I like this story.” How dare he! He gives the wizard a squeeze back before he is distracted by her words and the Knight. He blinks, another cultural reference he doesn’t get, and Dumbledore’s insistence that this should be important just confuses him. Maybe he just needs to focus on potions and the dark arts. “I will go do the thing you told me, if you need me.” He leans down and whispers one more time to Dumbledore before moving off to his station. Guessing candy!
Oooh, Paul! That Faerie light comes dancing back to taunt you! It dips and dodges, dancing over your head like a naughty firefly! The one in Dumbledore's beard moves on to buzz around the Bud Light Knight.
Clang Clang Clang
The Bud Light Knight is on the move again, homemade armor, no matter how well done, when made of sheet metal isn't exactly the best fitted in every place so moving around isn't as easy as it could be. But all in all, not bad. He finds himself to place to check on what may be around to snack on or drink and then pauses as he taps the helmet. He fishes in his armor and there he finds a straw, now he will be able to drink with the helmet on.
Naiche just is totally sitting next to a bobbing for apples station. Totally normal. With Normal apples. and there are towels about, and Naiche is just cheerfully sitting, watching people move about, and talk, but for the most part, Naiche is content to not exactly be... let us say the perfect advertiser. Instead, Naiche is just passively sitting and staring, looking at all the weird looking people, leaning forward then, then struggling and scratching at his neck as the button up shirt just doesn't seem to feel right. Then there is a blank expression as Naiche from his scratching.. notices something and pulls out cardboard from under the collar of his shirt, stares at it and just sort of places it under the table, and smiles all the brighter.
Baymax-Skully takes the proffered pumpkin basket, nodding its head, and the big Metis rumbles, "Thank you," reaching over to pull a little Velcro strap hidden on his arm and latching the basket to it so he doesn't have to hold it. He takes the pat on the back from Khol and gives another cheery wave, shuffling along like he does.
Robert moves over toward the Bud Light Knight, giving the armor a look over. "Eating swords into plowshares, and plowshares into drink cups, and the leftovers into new clothes?" asks the Jedi Knight.
Buttercup looks over her shoulder to the pair that Westley mentions, then looks back to him and shakes her head 'no'. When Sean comes into the clearing she lifts a hand to wave at him, grinning a little before giving him a thumbs up on the costume.
"Hey, hey! This is /my/ deviled egg" Paul tells the fairy light as he swats at it. "Dang little thing too fast!" He stares at the Knight, trying to figure out who that is in all that metal. He chuckles as the Knight moves around. "I bet he's gonna be sore tomorrow..." He tucks his sword into a homemade leather sheath at his side so both hands are free to eat.
Dumbledore is a brave one. He listens to Snape offer some advice, "I promise I won't." The unbreakable vow given to Snape. He/she grins under the beard, and once the Knight moves off Xen waves over to Dre in his costume. Then she beelines her wizarding robes over to Naiche. "You look nice. Want to see Dumbledore bob for an apple?" Somehow she finds this comical.
Branton has a bottle of something over by the performance area and he's taken out a metal bowl and stand for it that were all folded up in his bag. He's sipping the beer and gathering up some loose bits of hay (because there always is) when he spots Sean and calls out "Ouzo?"
Dúnedain has taken a seat on a straw bale and gets his guitar out of its case. It is a lovely classical 12 string made of very pale wood, inlaid with darker wood to form Futhark runes around the sound hole. Lleu takes a moment to tune it. When he's satisfied, he starts to play 'Black Magic Woman'.
A bottle of cheap watered down and overly carbonated beer found, top popped off and straw inserted. The Bud Light Knight takes a sip, makes a belch sound, but one must stay in character.
Clang Clang Clang
The Knight moves over to find a place to stand and lean as comfortably as allowed within the armored costume.
Sean lifts a hand to wave to the lovely little buttercup and saunters her way. Hooves are hard to walk in. But he at least.. tries.. to make it look cool? "Be right there, B-man!" Sean calls and turns to move on toward miss Buttercup to greet her.
Khol smiles to the Jill-Basket that walks over even as he is getting plates for himself and Johanna, "Hey there. Nice costume." he motions "Your helping yourself? This food is for everyone." he explains to her, starting to load up the food.
Naiche just stares blankly at Dumbledore when she speaks to him, just head tilting to the side, and then there is a shake of his head as he scratches at his cheek. "U-uh! I dressed up! But you uh.. dressed.. up as well? If want to dunk.. is supposed to uh.. what.. what was say! Close eyes! One dunk! Try and take apple with mouth! NO hands! No uh.. no cheating?" Naiche just tries to recite the rules in a very scattered format, and eventually goes, "Close enough! Go go!"
As the pumpkin basket is accepted, the Slytherin ghost gives a nod to Baymax. Then she brings one hand up to pull at the sheet on her face, tugging it back into proper position to see out of the eye holes. Then, she is turning and making her way back to the pumpkin basket station. On the way there, she catches sight of the Bud Light Knight. She stares at him a moment, before continuing toward the baskets.
On reaching the baskets, the ghost scoops up a stack of them this time, before turning and moving toward the leaning armored man. As she nears, she pulls one basket off the stack and thrusts it toward him, bottom first, "Prizes."
Johanna looks around at all the costumes and is ready to mingle! She first goes to greet SnapeAleks and grins showing her fangs as she approaches. "Good Evening, Professor Snape. Have potions class tonight? Or Sparring with wands?"
Dumbledore pulls at his elastic beard, and Xenovia unhooks it from around her ears. She also pulls up her wide wizarding sleeves and kneels down on the ground beside Naiche sitting. "Okay, only -one- try? That seems really hard. What if I need more than one go at it?" She holds her hands up to protect her white wig, and *bloop* she bobs for that evading apple.
Jillian pose smiles "food in basket!" she smiles to her friend and tilts her head as the music starts the basket and the girl begins to dance, she is actually a fair dancer even dressed like a picnic basket.
With a nod of his head, though, Wesley tucks on Buttercup's hand, nodding his head towards the wizards, his other gloved hand spelling out, at chest height. Her attention to Sean gives him pause and then a wide spread smile. Then walks the Princess and he to Dumbledore. Who is totally not Xenovia. He'll wave, with excitement, then wait for her to get freed before so he isn't interrupting.
Faerie lights flit and glide through the evening air over the heads of the guests. Once in a while one of the lights gets mischievous and daring to go up someone's skirt, or bob around cleavage, or pop out from behind someone's ear!
Branton starts arranging the bits of hay and some small pieces of wood in his portable brazier as he sips his drink and watches the goings on of the rest of the party with a mischievous smirk on his face.
Naiche blinks then before he stares at Xenovia- wait no Dumbledore, "U-uh! Then take another try! But don't just uh.. stick face under water! Could drown! Unless can breathe underwater, and then that is treating!" Naiche responds to Dumbledore as his lips purse, still adjusting and fidgeting in his suit, but otherwise, just sitting, trying to look happy, and uh.. a towel is prepared ahead of time. "Uh! Just be careful! Getting water everywhere is also bad! Or good? I forget."
Sipping at his beer, Blade continues to watch everyone as they meet one another and some now going to play with some of the games. He opens his beer and takes a sip, curious because the beer is actually pretty good. He lowers the bottle as he continues lean where he is.
Buttercup nods to Westley and walks with him as he leads her over to the apple bobbing Xenovia. Something lights her face and she purses her lips lightly before grinning, her hand moving to sign something to her companion. She's sans phone tonight, so it appears he's on full time Interpretive duty.
Dumbledore comes back up and cheers, along with wet, wild and dripping white eyebrows. The apple in her mouth she takes a bite and pops it out. The wizard accepts a towel to dry off and pat dry, before looking up to those around him. The beard gets reattached to her ears, and she immediately goes back into character. "Ten points to the Head Master, for successfully completing the apple bobber challenge." He looks at Naiche, and winks with a smile. "You should try it, the water isn't too bad."
Dumbledore aims to mingle, and looks for Buttercup and Westley. "Hello you two!"
Snape blinks at Johanna, it takes him the slightest of moments to fully recognize her and even longer to realize she’s talking to him. Oh right, he’s Snape. He forgot already. Xen only gave him a quick synopsis before he put this on. So no surprise when he answers her with, “What?” He looks back at Dumbledore and then returns. “Oh, um, yes, I guess.” Poor Severus is out of his element. Then he gets a bit more serious. “it is a good costume. Also congratulations. I did not get to say this last night.” He’s momentarily distracted by Dumbledore trying to drown him/herself. His head tilts as he watches her over at the booth carefully.
He hasn’t made it to his booth yet, but he’s in charge of a giant crystal urn holding candy corn that everyone gets a chance to guess the amount at. It’s a very full urn, though it has to be less than 1000.
Clang Clang Clang
The Bud Light Knight is on the move again. He pauses overlooking the food as he determines what and how to eat. A moment to sip the beer through the straw he has inserted past the dark mesh and insert of his helmet. Yuck. It's bad enough the beer is bad, but now he is drinking it from a straw.
Khol grins a little to Jill, and he pauses at the urn, looking at it before writing his guess on a card. then he heads on off to give food to Johanna, while watching Jill have fun. "here you go." he offers to Jo.
To what he's been signed, Wesley smiles and then looks shocked, but not seriously so, covering his mouth with his free hand, looking at Buttercup with widened, shocked eyes. He replies, in kind, then winks at her over-exaggeratedly what with the domino mask, and adds something else.
Once with Dumbledore, Wesley lifts his hand, nearly unmasking himself and then thinks better of it. "I-We just wanted to say thank you for opening your home and having this party." He steals a glance at Snape before he adds, "And a congratulations too."
When the Bud Light Knight moves, the Slytherin bed sheet ghost moves with him. She waves the pumpkin basket at him more insistently, shuffling forward into a better position to be seen through the narrow visor. Then she growls at him, muffled by the bed sheet that obscures her features: "Take. Prizes."
Winter is here! Not the weather, the person. She's dressed up at Arwen from Lord of the Rings, letting her geek flag fly as she fiddles with one of the little elf ears she has on and frowns a bit looking around the party.
Johanna nods to SnapeAleks, "Thank you, I appreciate that." Then Khol is there with food for her. "Thank you, Drakhola. Even blood will not quench my hunger right now so this will be great."
"What?" The Bud Light Knight says to the ghost. "Oh. Uh. Thanks." he notes as he moves to reach into the pumpkin to claim a prize. Not exactly knowing what is expected of him. He fishes around in there.
Dumbledore-Xen thanks Westley and Buttercup, "You are welcome. And thank you, Aleksandr and I are very happy here in our new home. But I do still indeed have the Scooby Bus for when we all want to go on trips together." The wizard warns, with a grin.
Paul has a plate full of goodies, and he looks over Snape's jar. He gives a guess, and then his attention is caught by the games, and he watches with a grin as the attempt with the apples is made.
Dúnedain continues playing the guitar and with Ghost on water now taking up the drums, they roll over into playing and singing 'Don't Fear the Reaper' Lleu looks pretty happy to be playing, offering a smile to those he knows, enjoying the costumes while they carry on with the music for now.
As the Bud Light Knight reaches for the pumpkin basket, the ghost gives a nod through the bed sheet. Then, just as he's reaching into the basket, she lets go of its handle and the plastic bucket falls to the ground, empty. She carries a stack of other such baskets under her free arm, revealed when she turns to look through the holes in her sheet at the basket on the ground. Then she looks back up to the Knight. She speaks again, slow and deliberate as if addressing a child: "No. It is yours. For prizes."
Jillian dances as her basket wobbles round her and the food she's got within threatens to spill out.. she oooohs and tries to catch an apple before it spills from the brim of her basket and she laughs a bit looking for a spot she can sit though she is finding it hard to sit with a basket about her hips.
Naiche just sort of stares at Dumbledore, even as she- er, he turns away, as Naiche just sits and looks down at the tub of water and apples then before him, just staring hard then, then he'll look up, and then back down to the water, and just sort of edge closer to look into it- seriously considering he proposal to dunk his head, but reconsiders, for now, as he settles back down at his station.
Buttercup blinks innocently back at her companion, shrugging with an open 'What?' look on her face. When he speaks to Dumbledore she nods emphatically to what Westley says, signing her thank you. She smiles, looking around the area before adding a little to the conversation for him to translate.
One of the faerie lights dances and weaves in between guests and comes to light briefly on Arwen's finger. Like a moth, it rises again to touch any jewelry she's wearing before settling behind one of her pointed ears.
Baymax makes his way delicately around the party, taking careful little steps and making sure not to bump anyone or anything. Oh, Skully; as if you weren't big and awkward enough. He stops near Westley and Buttercup, making his circular little wave and hitting the button that proclaims, "Hello. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion.". He pats Dumbledore on the head once, then shuffles off again, doing a tour of the party and collecting costumes in his mind.
A sigh might be heard if close enough to the Bud Light Knight. He stares at the bucket on the ground, leans just the slightest bit to bend over to pick up the pumpkin but then decides in the armor it's a bad idea and doesn't.
"Here Ye. Here Ye. Ahem." the Bud Light Knight begins. "The Bud Light Knight...needs someone to pick up his pumpkin."
Lleu is here! Winter heads that way in her elf costume and smiles. She gestures to her Arwen costume and she pauses to look at the faerie light and marvels at it cheerfully. "If I follow this will I end up dead in a swamp?" She wonders to anyone around her.
Canting his head, the headscarf and mask makes his confusion harder to decipher, so he says it instead. "Scooby bus?" A shake of his head, "I-I don't get it." Wesley looks to his cohort and smiles. When she's finished wiggling her dandy fingers at him, his attention turns back, "Buttercup says that you went all out, and it looks very beautiful."
Paul chuckles at the Knight's predicament, and heads in his direction to lend a hand. He swoops up the pumpkin, "Here you go, Sir Knight."
Severus Snape-Aleks bows his head to Johanna and moves over to his station a few feet away. It doesn’t require a lot of attention, other than making sure two people don’t guess twice, and making sure the guesses find themselves securely in the box. Instead he takes in more of this odd custom, at least, to him. He watches Dumbledore more than most, like he was Harry instead and in need of protection from He Who Must Not be Named.
Dumbledore-Xen smiles as Baymax pats him and his silver gray cap on his head. "The food looks amazing, Baymax!" Xen makes a light cough to sound like the Headmaster. "The Princess Bride is indeed one of my favorite books. Ten points to the Princess this evening," he offers to Buttercup politely. Then he peers over next to the Bud Light Knight. "Where's a house elf when you need one," Dumbledore tells him.
Jillian looks round and she smiles a bit to the knight, she moves his way, since she cannot sit. Two encumbering costumes indeed! Her eyes look over to Paul and then she laughs "Jill needs pumpkin!" she decides before looking to get one for herself.
Dumbledore-Xen leans in to whisper to the Princess Buttercup, "Thank you. I hope you enjoy the party this evening, my dear."
There are several Faerie lights bobbing along over the party! Dúnedain raises a hand now and then from playing his guitar to cast forth more of the will-o-wisps to dance around in the night air and flirt with the guests! He smiles when Winter/Arwen looks his way, "Come sing with us and share your Enya voice with us!" Ghost-on-Water leans over and suggests a song for them to play and Lleu nods. They begin to play 'Werewolf in London!" Somebody has been practicing new songs just for tonight!
At first, the ghost with the stack of pumpkins looks down at the dropped pumpkin basket. She might even be thinking of picking it up for the Bud Light Knight. But then he makes his announcement and Paul comes to the rescue, so she simply turns away without further comment, shuffling back into the crowd with a new basket at the ready. It isn't long until she is stalking up to Naiche and his perch on the apple tub. A plastic, pumpkin-shaped basket is brandished at him with her oft-repeated order: "Prizes."
Paul watches the ghost and then winks at the Knight. "I shoulda let the Lady ghost get it for you. I bet she's pretty underneath that sheet."
Naiche just sorts of stares at the proffered Pumpkin, Naiche staring at the ghost then with a very blank, and confused expression. There is a few seconds as he reaches then into the pumpkin basket, rooting around before grabbing at something- to pull out, confusedly. "Take one? Take seven? Take basket?" Naiche inquires of Wazi then, even as he sorts of let's his gaze wander to Dumbledore, then back to Ghost again! "O-oh and uh! Is supposed to say much thanks!" Naiche grins, as he moves to straighten his bowtie!
Winter/Arwen walks over to Lleu and shakes her head. "I mean, I guess I could but it's been a minute and I don't usually caterwaul in public. If you'd like your ears to bleed." She smiles and looks around. "I'm sure Sean is about too-have you seen him?" She asks idly. "We're having a personal costume off, between friends."
Ok all this damn people watching is making Blade-Dre hungry so he moves from where he is closer to the group of people, smiling as he sees a few faces he now recognizes. He gets a plate and begins piling on food, he moves off to a table and begins to eat. This pulls him closer to where Arwen and a few others are. "Nice costume." he says to Arwen, his guns are easily recognizable as automatic DE's, if there is such a thing, but who cares this isn't real right? Or is it?
Niccia comes wandering in having far too much fun stomping a bit in furry mukluks which she has substituted for the heels she tried to walk in the woods in. She looks around for the faces of those she knows which is kinda hard with costumes so she takes to wandering the party a smile on her lips.
Buttercup smiles and nods to Xen, then looks back up to Westley. Tilting her head to the side she lifts her hand up, miming a bottle and drinking. An eyebrow lifts a little bit, a challenging look on her face as well as a bit of a grin. As the music starts up she pushes up onto her toes to look over, looking torn between happy to hear it and a little worried for the guitar player.
Inside the proffered basket, Naiche finds a bit of loose plastic wrap to grab onto and pull out. A worthy prize, indeed! A moment later, the pumpkin basket is pushed into his lap by the Slytherin ghost. "No," she answers, "-For- prizes." Then, she tugs at her bed sheet again, pulling it into better position to see through the eye holes, staring down at Naiche expectantly.
A pause as the Knight looks at Paul. "Thank you, I am sure there are plenty of pretty damsels." the Knight responds simply and then he begins to walk away. Clang Clang Clang
On his way over to the bobbing for apples station.
Dumbledore-Xen continues to mingle with everyone and spies Jillian with her picnic basket. He picks up a butterbeer and tries to not get foam in his beard as he approaches her next. Wizard footsteps has him jiving to the music on route. A wink goes to Snape from across the party table.
Paul is not far from the food tables. Is he ever? And so Niccia should be able to find him, dressed like he might be on the set for Game of Thrones. Robert, the Jedi Knight is wandering around the party.... somewhere.
"All the points to the Princess," agrees Wesley, smiling at the Princess with obvious affection. "Ok," the Pirate says to her, "let's go ply you with alcohol. Then, I think I see someone I have something to give to." Once more to Dumbledore, Wesley smiles, gives an overdramatic bow and a flourish of his hand, "We are men of action. Lies do not become us." With one of the lines he's memorized spoken, he gives Buttercup a squeeze of her hand, and off to get her plastered.
Naiche just appears utterly confused then in response to Wazi as he watches the woman then, his head tilting to the side, there is a moment of confusion, even as he looks at the clanking knight approaching his station, then back to the pumpkin. Moving slowly, Naiche moves to pull out a small tinkling bell- with some odd gemstone glinting in the middle- the brass bell then dropped into the orange pumpkin basket. "Like that? Brie like that?" Naiche murmurs confusedly as he looks things over, "What going to do with it?" More confusion.
Lleu focuses on playing through Werewolves of London as Ghost-on-Water sings along to it to give the Galliard's voice a break. The Dúnedain plays it through to the end and then takes a moment to quiet the strings of his guitar and pick up his beer for a drink. Back to Arwen he answers, "Sean's around here somewhere. Dressed up as a Satyr tonight. I haven't seen him yet. Probably take over playing music for me in a while so I can tell scary stories." Dúnedain smiles, "Any requests?"
Ghost-on-Water also gets a drink then says, "Let's play Bad Moon Rising next." One of his favorites. Lleu nods, looks to Winter to see if she'll put in a request as well - and then they'll start playing more music!
A quick glance to the apple station and the knight quickly understands that would be a foolish endeavor and so on into the move he is once more.
Clang Clang Clang
The Knight walks around to see what is what, checking out the various party spots.
Branton looks down at the smallish pile of wood and kindling he's built in his portable brazier and looks over to whoever's nearest in the performance area and asks "Blue, White, or Purple? I'd have brought green but I've learned enough about the Nation to know that creepy green fires trigger unfortunate reflexes."
Of course Niccia finds Paul he's standing by her favorite stuff in the world FOOD. Made even better of course being it's free food. "Boo!" is exclaimed as she steps in beside Paul.
Robert might have a bit of Jedi senses, as he pulls the hood over his head as he approaches Niccia. "I should have dressed as Elmer Fudd. Could have been out hunting wabbits.
Did he just hear his name? Sean looks around, spotting Arwen, and he meanders her way. Clop. Clop. Clop. "Hi," It's a pretty darn good costume, considering he pulled it together in a couple of hours, tops. "I wasn't expecting you here."
"PURPLE!"
Another shouts, "BLUE-RED-PURPLE!"
The ghost girl shakes her sheet-wrapped head at Naiche's offered bell. She shakes the pumpkin basket it was dropped into, pausing a moment at the tinkle-clatter of the bell against plastic. She brings the basket up to look inside, then shakes it again. A soft snort is given underneath the sheet. Then she is offering the pumpkin basket to Naiche once again. Slowly, with deliberate enunciation, she explains: "Take basket. For your prizes. To carry them."
Dumbledore-Xen pages: holy cow yes, I was just thinking about that from this log.
Naiche blinks then as he looks at the basket "But has all priz-O-okey!" Naiche just takes the basket back then, and just sort of lifts it up and down to hear the jingling himself, even as he sits quietly at his table, humming then, accepting it and trying to appear like he knows what is going on. Thank god the knight didn't come closer! Otherwise Naiche would have to explain you'd need a mouth to compete! And he had no idea if the Knight had one under there! He suspected, but best not assume!
Niccia offers Robert a hug, "It's not a very good bunny costume." She says with a pout, "I told August I wanted to be a bunny for Halloween and this is what he got me. It's missing all the fur and the shoes weren't very good for walking in the forest so I had to get my boots from the trunk.
Paul notices Niccia then as Robert was stalking her. He steps over and gives her a hug. "Hey Miss Bunny Niccia. I think you look great. But kinda figured you would be like... Wonder Woman or somethin'."
"Hi." Winter/Arwen looks at Sean and leans back. "Wooow. You got me beat. I was so sure elf princess who shoots to kill was a dead ringer." She claps and gestures to Lleu. "He want's me to sing-I suspect to drive party goers away." She jokes and waves at Dre for the compliment with a grin.
Buttercup grins and is lead off towards the booze, reaching out to snag herself another treat in passing. Something sweet before something bitter, and she seems intent on getting her hands on a beer. Giving her pirate's hand a squeeze she grins and moves her free hand to continue their conversation.
The bedsheet-wrapped girl gives another nod as the basket is finally accepted by Naiche. Her attention moves to the jingle-clattering basket at his side and she lingers a moment, gaze on it. She turns, looking over the party at the gathering of costumed people, most of whom have been pressed into accepting a pumpkin basket by now. Then she looks back to the other lupus to ask, "Bells?"
The Bud Light Knight doesn't move for a bit, finding something to lean on carefully to add to his comfort he just watches for a bit. Quiet and still he just watches the group.
Naiche hums softly, "Bells?" Naiche turns his attention to his basket then, "Oh yes! Have friend, musical, airy, likes bells! So is collecting beautiful bells!" Naiche responds then to Wazi with a great big smile then before he looks down inside of his orange basket of pumkpiness. The bobbing for apples station still open to anyone willing to try their luck, and their dryness! "Is nice!" Naiche hums then softly.
Dumbledore-Xen looks over at the Bud Light Knight and then scans the Halloween crowd to find Snape's in his black lean robes. A hand is lifted with the Elder wand, and she gestures to the main banquet table. She walks over to take a seat at the head of the table, as is proper of the old wizard, and proceeds to create a plate to eat from. A candied spider and a chocolate frog is taken down from the candelabra as snacks before getting into the eyeball tacos.
Robert looks the costume over a moment. "Quite alright. If I tried hunting you, Paul here might get a bit unhinged anyway, even if my predatory skills might be lacking. At least amongst the company we normally keep."
Johanna finishes eating up her food and motions to Khol, "Let's check out some of the games? I want to guess on the candy corn, and then the rings game?"
Branton grins at the call out and pulls a small pouch out of the tote bag "A blend of potassium chloride and a touch of strontium nitrate." Pointing at the brazier with his finger's spread wide he says "dóro tou profítou, sas kaló." more for theatrics than anything else and the kindling catches before he adds "Got to let it get going abit before I add the color."
Niccia returns Paul's hug, "You look very nice your majesty." she grins and joins him in makes a plate. The amount of food stacked on hers could feed both of them but she settles in to munching the contents making the pile shrink rapidly." He's make you use a nerf gun."
When 'Bad Moon Rising' has finished, Dúnedain-Lleu looks to Ghost-on-Water, "I'm taking a break." He hands off his guitar to another musician to use and he himself picks up a bodhran. A small Celtic hand drum. Dúnedain gets up and starts to tap along as Ghost-on-Water leads the musicians in the 'Monster Mash', all of them singing along (Several of them off key). Lleutrim winces and looks back to Arwen and Sean, "Skully's cooked up great food for tonight, I'm sure. I should get some before it's gone."
Blade/Dre gives a nod of his head to Arwen/Winter and the food on his plate is gone, damn wolves and food. Still the vampire hunter/killer gets up from the table and throws away the plate he has. He makes his way over to where Lleu is, he chuckles, "So they did get you play or did you offer?" he asks. Blade/Dre turns and looks out at the crowd, it was an amazing feeling to see such a large gathering here tonight.
Paul notices Branton, and watches him curiously. He tries to decipher the words he speaks, but hasn't mastered that language yet. He still uses Latin phrases himself. He turns to grin back at Niccia as he picks up a butterbeer, and hands it to her. "You gotta try this, it's really good."
One of the several faerie lights comes to whirl around Branton's head as he speaks his incantations.
The ghost girl nods to Naiche's explanation about the bells. She watches him another moment, listening to his talk, then she sets her stack of remaining pumpkin baskets down beside his perch and the tub of bobbing apples. Then, she is turning to walk away, leaving the other lupus with about six plastic pumpkins above and beyond the one he was so aggressively handed. She gives no explanation for abandoning them there. Instead, she moves toward the tables of food.
Dúnedain smiles at Dre/Blade, "I offered to play. You enjoying the party?"
Dumbledore-Xen grins over at Lleu in costume as he drums away. He wizard bobs to the music and then turns in chair to watch Branton put on his show. A sip of butterbeer is taken and she sifts her taco for food she can eat.
Sean grins and lifts his flute and does a little trilling scale before he pokes her in the nose with it. "I mean, it would be more booze for the rest of us if they all went away." He nods to Dune. "Cool. I'll grab some too here in a minute."
Severus Snape-Aleks is summoned with a powerful spell by Dumbledore, no doubt. He leaves his station to join her at the teachers table. No doubt leaving behind spirits to watch for any cheaters. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. He meanders through the crowd, and finds Dumbledore, putting and arm around his tiny frame. The two Professors are far friendlier than the books and movie ever portrayed. He looks down at the food, specifically the stuff she is gathering, but none of it seems to look appetizing to the Potions Wizard. He doesn’t take any food for himself, but studies everything she is taking. “You can eat this?”
Baymax shuffle-shuffle-shuffles up to Defense-Against-Darkness, looking down at the candy corn urn, and states a muffled, "I ain't able to write in this thing, but my guess is seven-twenny, if'n you'll put that down." He nods once, step-step-stepping onward and going to check on his food table to make sure things are still in order and nothing has run out unexpectedly.
Clang Clang Clang
The Bud Light Knight is in motion again. Walking down towards the dock to take a look at the water, this is his first real time checking the place out. At least the first time where tensions weren't escalated a bit.
Naiche blinks and now has apparently an added responsibility of pumpkin basket management. So there he is, just sort of staring and studying then the assorted baskets.. and then the apple station, but Naiche is content to just sit and man his place, and look happy. It is all he has to do, and Naiche is enjoying the time to just watch and stare.. and totally be responsible for things. Naiche is very responsible and attentive.
Swatting at Satyr Sean, Winter/Arwen shakes her head. "You just hate singing." She accuses and looks at Dre Blade. "Skully cooked? Nice. Food's the best thing."
Heading towards the food, The Dread Muncher Roberts, slows down while he starts looking on at the desserts and the food. To some he looks woeful, to others smirking, signing, [C-A-R-B-S] to his date while bringing them closer to the food table. Then he sees something that makes him let go of her hand and gasp.
A gigantic bowl of candy corn.
With eyes wide, and an audible gasp, Dusk heads over to the drawing, and eyes all the little triangle perfection, bending over to get a good, darn close look at them without getting so close as to drop drool.
"Ohmahgawd. Look at how many there are. There's enough to bathe a small baby in that." Picking up pen, Dusk writes down his guess and stuffs his answer into the provided box. And then looks around for his match.
Niccia takes the drink from Paul and seems to like it a lot, now with food and drink she looks for a place to stand out of everyone's way.
Paul hears someone else at the candy corn jar, and goes back over to make it official by writing it down. He nudges Robert, and whispers, "I guessed 666. What about you?"
Dumbledore-Xen leans toward Snape at the table. "No I can't really. But I can eat the tomatoes, and all the other garden stuff in here." The Head Wizard finds an olive and eats it," grinning. "Skully made sure there's plenty I can have. We're good." She moves closer an entire bowl of fruit and pops some melon into her mouth. As she chews, her elastic beard moves as she grins back to Snape. "This is the best party ever. Wait until you see what we have in mind for Johanna's Rising party. Hehe."
Buttercup looks a little baffled at Westley's reaction to the candy corn, letting go of his hand as he gets all excited about it. She follows after him, peering at the jar before wrinkling her nose a little bit as she lets out a silent laugh. Her head shakes and she takes the time that he's filling out his guess to scoot over and fish herself a bottle of beer out of the offerings.
Dre smirks, "Cool, I was hoping you would." he says as he looks to Dúnedain. Blade/Dre gives a nod of his head, "Yea I am." he says to him. He looks over at Arwen/Winter, he chuckles. "How are you this evening Arwen?" he asks.
Paul glances over at Dumbledore as he hears s/he sounds like they eat the same stuff he does. His plate is filled with non meat items, and sweets. Not counting eggs and most seafood.
Robert writes down his own guess at the jar and makes his way back, giving the two eaters a wink. "The way you two pack things away, I went with my own gut and said 420."
Arriving at the cabin are an unlikely duo. Spider-Man and the Phantom from Phantom of the Opera. They make their way into the crowd, taking in all the other costumes. They stay silent for now, just observing.
Dúnedain continues to walk through the crowd, sending faerie lights dancing here and there, playing the bodhran drum along with the music the other musicians are playing. The wrap up the 'Monster Mash' and roll over into Michael Jackson's 'Thriller'. Lleu smiles and finally brings himself to the food tables, "Wow. Skully has outdone himself!" The bodhran gets tucked under his arm so he can get a plate with lots of proteins piled on it - and another beer.
Niccia wipes her mouth with a napkin, "Always have to remember you buy a bag of candy corn and at least 5 percent will be half sized without the white or brown tips." The beer is used as palate cleaner as she moves from food groups on her plate. Having taken mostly meat and sweets.
A low breath and then again the Knight is in motion.
Clang Clang Clang
The Bud Light Knight makes his way up to the table and nudges out a chair. Carefully, very carefully he leans back and moves to sit.
Looking up at Dre Blade, Winter/Arwen smiles. "I'm good, this dress is a little warm, but I bet I'm more comfortable than Sean. Did you see his costume? Killer." She shakes her head and swishes her arms side to side enjoying her sleeves.
Severus Snape-Aleks nods to Dumbledore at the answer and then gets serious, but Snape is always serious. “I am glad you are enjoying it.” Still, he can’t help but look up at that and scan the crowd. “I do not see the joy in it, but I am glad you do.” He can’t help but give the Headmaster a bit of a worried glance before looking back down at the food. He looks down at something that looks almost edible to him, and tries it. Definitely meat, unlike his companion. He takes a couple bites, chews it and makes a face. At least he didn’t spit it out. It’s probably nothing to do with Skully’s cooking though. “Weird stuff.”
Dúnedain sets his things down and puts his hands to his mouth, "Gandalf! More fireworks!" That gets shouted to Branton with a grin.
Dumbledore-Xen looks over at the Knight as he takes a seat. A pumpkin juice goblet is lifted upward and then set in front of him. He sweeps his gaze over to Paul down the table and smiles. "I find the mummies are delicious. But I ate one earlier when they were still fresh." The wizard eyes the giant lollies on the table, "Ah, to be young again and able to eat sugar without throwing up." A hand slides over and she offers Snape's fingers a squeeze. A raised brow goes to the potions master. "Do you want something raw? There's more in the kitchen."
One of the faerie lights comes to dance and whirl about Morticia!
Spying that she made her own way to get herself something to drink, Wesley comes up beside her and slips his right arm around her waist. "Sorry, had to take a detour. Mm. Candy corn's one of my favorites," he says, apologizing. Looking around, first touching his left gloved hand to his lips, he then raises it over his head when he spies Dúnedain to get the other man's attention. Wesley smacks his lips together while turning to whisper something to Buttercup.
Branton has got a fire going in his collapsible brazeir and grins over at the shout. He's dressed in the Fantastic Four jumpsuit as the Human torch clearly but he does have powders to add to the fire and the one he tosses in gives a flash and the fire turns a brilliant reddish purple.
Spider-Man looks around, walking smoothly, mask not moving as he says, "Wow, yeah, we got the whole spectrum. Looks like Hogwarts hosted ComiCon." The head moves, taking in the costumes as he walks on.
He quirks a brow, "Who is Sean?" he asks. "There is still a lot of people I don't know." he says to her. "There has been a large influx of our people and that's partly my fault for not keeping up with things." he says to Winter/Arwen. Looking to Dúnedain as he begins doing Thriller, he chuckles, "Who is dressed up as Gandalf?" he asks.
Sean has wandered off and is eating just about anything he can get his hands on. And booze. He brought booze, too. He's doing that over there. Not far. He hears his name again and looks up and over.
Robert adds a few extra sweets to Paul and Niccia's plates before heading out to explore the surroundings
Morticia glides in, and with hardly a pause glides to the tables to fetch herself food and drink. She makes a slow round of the gathering, admiring costumes.
"The satyr. I wonder if he's like a real one." Winter/Arwen speculates. "Should find him a pretty tree or a goat maybe..." She points to him once she finds him and looks back at Dre. "That one. I think it's a little packed for my speed though. See ya Andre."
Phantom nods to Spider-Man and grabs a beverage. "Sure does. Really impressive. I mean, I sure didn't expect this many people." He sounds quite amused.
Buttercup looks to the person that catches her companions attention, smiling and nodding to something he says. She opens up her drink before using her now free hand to sign back to him, carefully juggling the bottle and talking with Westley.
Paul's eye widen at the purplish fire, and he freezes in place to watch it. He nudges Niccia, "Look at that. It's sure somethin', ain't it?"
Khol finishes up his plate and speaks softly to Johanna.
Naiche is just a cleaned up, dressed up Lupus, literally- in a suit and bowtie, just sitting quietly next to a dunking for apples station, and a tower of 6 orange pumpkin baskets. All smiles and cheer as he waits quietly, hands in his lap.
Dúnedain has gotten himself a plate of food and two more beers into his tankard. He walks back to rejoin the other musicians and takes a seat, setting his bodhran beside his guitar so he can wolf down his food. Meanwhile the rest of the musicians are finished playing Thriller and have started into 'The Adam's Family' theme!
Niccia claps her hands once her plate is put down, "Can you do that Paul?" she asks excitedly. Magic even stage magic totally trumps food for at least a couple minutes.
Johanna listens to Khol and nods. She takes his arm and leads him over to Dumbledore-Xen. "Thank you for the lovely party, but we are going to head out now. After I put in my guess for the candy corn. Call me soon and we will have that pie by the lake."
When Morticia arrives, the Bud Light Knight offers a wave, of course she might not know who is waving to him because he isn't exactly making it easy on people in that costume. Finally the Knight can take it no longer, for comforts sake he pulls the helmet off and reveals that it is Viktor beneath that helm.
He would have gotten away with it too if it wasn't for those kids.
Severus Snape-Aleks keeps an arm around Dumbledore as he shakes his head, looking down at him. “No, I am fine. Just was curious. Plus have to get used to it.” He looks around the spread again. “Yu have done well, though. Lots of people. Looks nice.” Even if he doesn’t love a crowd. When Johanna approaches Xen and announces she is leaving, he bows his head to her and then Khol.
Branton concentrates on the purple flames and now they start taking shape, taking shape of each person in their costume, shifting slowly from person to person with photo-realistic resolution.
Dúnedain shouts back to Severus, "I'm going to guess 666 pieces of Candy Corn!" Yes, he has a plate of food on his lap so it's hard for him to get over there and have a closer look, yet.
Paul shakes his head at Niccia, "Nope. Maybe Bobby kin, he can start fires 'n all, but Branton there is a master at it. I create artifacts, deal with the animals 'n heal. Most of my stuff is mental."
As soon as Branton starts stoking his purple flames and making portrait shapes with the witchfire into the likeness of the costumed guests, /all/ of the faerie lights come from all over the party grounds to zoom in on him and float about in circles around the fireworks!
Dumbledore-Xen also looks up to Johanna and Khol, "Thank you. And yes, we'll definitely take a moment to have that pie if Khol would be so kind." She grins back, "Feel free to come back tomorrow morning for breakfast. There's bound to be leftovers." She smiles.
Khol smiles to Dumbledore-xen and smiles "Thank you.. and this does look marvelous."
After she signs at him, Wesley smiles broadly and then nuzzles her hair affectionately, murmuring something softly to her with a smile on his lips. Pulling his head back, he looks down for a reaction, sucking his lips into his mouth for a moment to pop them back out.
Hearing Dunedain's guess, Wesley grins broadly at the other man, then nods his head to that direction at Buttercup, asking if she'd like to go. She's been amenable thus far, and while they approach the musician, Westley starts to fish in his back pocket, with gloves, it's more difficult.
Johanna nods, "Thank you, we will consider it." She grins to Khol, "Candy breakfast? Hee hee" She takes a moment to step over to the Candy Corn table and write down her guess and submit it. Then back to Khol and the Vampire couple heads on out into the spooky dark night...
Niccia is entranced watching the lights and the purple fire. She sits there a fork full of food halfway to her mouth.
Paul looks over at the Dúnedain, and grins, "Hey! I took that one."
When the fiery look alike of himself floats near, Paul has to stop himself from reaches out to touch it. Good thing. Curiosity could burn the cat-kin,
Spider-Man turns his head, looking at a purple fireball, rippling and forming the masked form of Spider-Man then flits off, the superheroes shoulders jerking in a chuckle as he moves around, mingling.
Buttercup laughs and lightly pokes the Dread Pirate in the side. There's a twinkle in her eye as she shrugs her shoulders, giving him a teasing look before she lifts her bottle to take a drink. She coughs, looking at the bottle with a small frown, but it doesn't seem to deter her from drinking it anyways. Nodding as Westley motions she turns to follow after him as they head over towards Lleu.
Morticia waves, confused, back at the Bud Light knight....then laughs when he pulls the helmet off. She glides over to him, and greets him with a passable curtsy. "that costume might incite me to murder."
Lleutrim chuckles at Paul, "All right. If 666 was already taken then I'll guess 999. That's probably already been guessed too." The Dúnedain finishes eating his food and gets up to drop off his paper plate. "Heck of a party, Dumbledore!" And Baymax, and everyone else who's chipping in. A number of faces here Lleu knows but others he does not! "Hey, Princess Bride and Dread Pirate Roberts! Are you having a good time tonight? Have you see the Six fingered man yet?"
Watchout! The Browncoat is here! In strides Brooke, dressed as her favorite fictional character. She keeps her gun holstered, her coat open, and looks about to see just who all is here. "Wow. Spider man, Dumbledore, and... Baymax? Ha!"
Niccia rests her head on Paul's shoulder with a long wistful sigh. "I'm banned from playing with fire in the house. So I need another place to practice."
Morticia grins at Lleutrim, and calls back, "It's to die for!"
"I figured it made sense. An heir of a Knight to dress as a Knight." Viktor the Bud Light Knight says to Morticia, "Nice costume yourself...I don't see Yuri to keep an eye on you though." he points out with a smirk, but he doesn't seem like he is going to dwell on it much.
Dumbledore-Xen switched out from butterbeer to dragon ale, and has a good buzz going. The wizard lifts a hand to wave to Brooke. "Welcome! Come and join the festivities." She raps in his wizardy female voice. "Plenty to eat, and enjoy. Baymax made all the food, and it's incredible." She snatches up a bowl of squash soup.
Paul says, “Probably ain't right, but had to guess something. Lucky as Bobby is, he probably guessed it." His eyes keep following the figures. He glances then to Niccia, and bumps her head with his, giving a little kiss to the bunny ears. "Is that because of Mr. August? Come on out to Sunhome, and practice with Bobby." He hears a familiar voice and grins over at Brooke, giving her a wave.”
"We are indeed," Wesley starts, looking to Buttercup to make sure he's right, and then turns back. "Respected elder," Wesley starts when he gets closer. He offers the objects in his hand, "I'm sorry I didn't get these to you sooner," he says with a smile, "But I thought I might run into you and, judging by her ring, your fiancé here tonight."
In his black gloves, the Dread Pirate Roberts offers Lleu two green gift cards. One is mark His. The other Hers.
They're for Subway. A significance considering Lleu's rite of passage. Wesley holds the items and his smile.
Phantom sits down at the Patio Table.
Spider-Man sits down at the Patio Table.
Sean has his fill of food finally and he looks around. Spiderman and Phantom over there look harmless enough and he moves that way, lifting the hand with the fake finger on it in greeting.
Sean sits down at the Patio Table.
Yawning Niccia shakes her head, "I Think Phillipe is more worried I'd burn the place down. August is bad enough being a pyromaniac. She turns her head to Paul, "He gets the candy if he wins yes? Then me and you get to eat it?"
Brooke waves to Paul, "Heya Paul!" She hears so much going on she isn't sure where she wants to go first, but since Baymax made the food, that sounds like a great place to start! She heads over to check it out and fill up a plate.
Severus Snape-Aleks snoops around the table for something to drink, settling on water because of course he does. His gaze goes out over the crowd again, giving a bowed head to most newcomers, the ones he recognizes, anyway. Then he turns to Dumbledore and whispers something to the wizard again. Then the exchange, even at this distance, between Lleu and Wesley catches his attention, just briefly, as his brow furrows.
Buttercup smiles brightly and waves as they approach, curling her hands around the bottle she's attached herself to. She watches as her Pirate fishes the cards out of his pants, her head tilting curiously as he hands them over. Her smile warms a little and her shoulders move in a soundless chuckle as she takes a sip from her drink.
Naiche is still dapper, and still here! Maintaining his station and being diligent! Just not much to add to things at the moment, listening and watching cheerfully.
Brooke gets her food, picks up a drink and heads toward the Patio Table. She stops just short of it and says, "So a Satyr, the Phantom of the Opera, and Spider-Man all came to a Halloween Party, and sat down at the Patio Table... there should be a joke in there, but I'm not quite getting my finger on it just yet. Mind if I join you all for a bit?"
"Xen." Viktor/Bud Light Knight says after a moment. "You were successful once more. Congratulations on the party." the Knight of terrible beer says and then he pushes a bit back on the chair and glances to Morticia, "Help me up would you please? This costume was a terrible idea."
Morticia stands by the blue knight. and looks around. "Wow. Some great costumes there." She grins at Viktor as he asks for help up. She offers him a hand. "If that were an electric chair we could just turn up the voltage..."
Spider-Man looks up from the table conversation as Brooke approaches and gestures to a chair at the table, mask not moving as he says, "Oh, sure thing, feel free. I don't wanna waste your gorram time."
Brooke sits down at the Patio Table.
Dúnedain-Lleu gives Paul a smile and drinks his beer, then lowers it, "Yes, 666 was too obvious." He loses his smile at mention of August's name, "He's not about to show up here, is he? If he does, a bunch of Garou are apt to line up to kick his ass and run him off. He's not welcome here." Not mind you that Lleu even knows what August looks like. Disadvantage, that. Then his grey eyes lower to see what Westley has brought him, "Faith isn't here tonight." The two green cards are picked up, "Thank you." It's said a little warily, 'Respected Elder' gets a look around - who did Westley mean? Not him, surely. "Do I know you, sir?"
Dumbledore-Xen lifts a goblet of dragon ale up to second the motion put forth by the Bud Light Knight. "Thank you. But Skully deserves the credit for making all the food. And there were plenty more helping hands tonight that deserve credit. Like the ghost girl over there, and Naiche, and Lleu." Some other people she has still to properly meet. "But yes, a team effort all around." She grins to Spider-Man, Phantom, and at Brooke. "Please enjoy the evening," the wizard rises and huffs in his wispy voice. "I think it's time for a haunted boat ride." Xen peers over to Snape. "You are rowing, because you are sober." He's volun-told. "It's good to be Head Wizard." She strokes her beard.
Paul gives Dúnedain-Lleu a confused look, and then looks to Niccia.
Niccia listens idly to the conversation catching most of something said. She leans over and kisses Paul on the cheek. "I'll see you later kitten I should get going now." She makes sure to put her trash where it is supposed to go. "Come see me later and I'll get you to help move those things to Sunhome."
Blade/Dre wanders back near the coolers to grab a drink, having seen Arwen/Winter leave, he follows Lleu over to the table where he is eating, taking a seat though when he speaks about August, he quirks a brow after sipping his beer, "Who is he?" he asks.
Sean lifts his head to nod a greeting to Brooke, scooting over a little bit Then back to his table, he sighs. "I'll never make a comment about women wearing heels to look good. Ever again. Ever."
<OOC> Sean Notes the dope is wearing these: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JkCALL2SuQ4/Tm41Sehz89I/AAAAAAAAAPo/yJyI7bTuXX4/s1600/hooves3.jpg
Brooke laughs! "Never has the phrase 'walk a mile in my shoes' ever been quite so appropriate. Good call." she says to Sean.
Paul says, “Sure thing, Miss Niccia. It's gonna be really great when we get everything all set up. Kiss the little 'un for me."”
Accepting Morticia's hand, the Bud Light Knight rises to his feet slowly and then says, "I think I have had my fun...." he gives a final glance to Dumbledore, then around to some of the others. "Everyone have fun. Don't eat too much candy." he then says to Morticia, "See you around plenty I am sure. " he offers and then he begins to...
Clang Clang Clang
Head on his way out.
Niccia waggles her fingers at Paul, "I will kitten you be safe and I'll see you later."
Phantom looks over at Dumbledore-Xen and gives her a thumbs up. "Thank you. And thanks for arranging all this. Very impressive." He then goes back to talking to the others he's sitting with on the patio.
Some of the Faerie lights have faded but one or two hang on and float around and among the guests as the party continues! One abruptly lands in Phantom's head, then winks out.
Oh! Another chance to use a line he memorized!
"Oh, I'm no one of consequence. We met the one time, sir. At your party. It's how I heard about your triumph over the hoagie," Wesley's eyes travel then from Lleu to the cards, connecting the dots. "Thank you again." Wesley lefts his left hand and with his thumb lifts his domino mask to Lleu, "You're elder to me. Small e," seeing if that jogs Lleu's memory.
Branton is shaping images in purple flame, making essentially a slideshow of the different costumes people are wearing. His images aren't floating free of the fire and if anyone wants to try and touch them they'd need to come over to where he's set up and he'd wave them off.
Paul looks over at Blade/Dre, but then back to Dúnedain-Lleu, "He's of the Simba. Sort of like cousins to my Folk."
Buttercup tilts her head a little bit, watching Westley with an amused smile, shaking her head a little bit as he really seems to enjoy his character. She continues to slowly sip on her beer, letting him do the talking, though that's not exactly difficult.
Dúnedain-Lleu drinks some of his beer and glances back to both Paul and Dre, "He attacked Faith. I'd not care to discuss the details here at the party. Ask me later if you like. This should be a happy gathering." The Galliard looks back to Westley the Dread Pirate, "I think I remember that. You had a text book but we didn't really get much chance to speak. I hope you are enjoying the party?" He looks to 'Buttercup' and offers her a smile at her being so quiet, of course. "Very pleased to see you could make it."
Paul frowns, looking shocked at Lleu's words, but doesn't press for answers now. Rolling his shoulders he just gives the man a nod of his head, "It is a party..." his eyes travel then in the direction that Niccia had suddenly takes off and his expression goes thoughtful. He moves then to get a few more items from the food table, and then wanders over to watch Branton more closely.
To Paul's shocked look, Lleu adds something very, very low. Paul moves off and the Fianna tries not to let his temper get riled up on that topic. Not tonight. Instead he looks back to Westley and Buttercup.
Morticia watches as the Bud Light Knight - Viktor gets up and disappears. she's about to say something when the Dunedain's answer catches her attention. she stiffens at what she hears Lleutrim say but doesn't otherwise react.
Lowering his mask and lifting his brows, again, hard to tell under his mask and head scarf, Wesley mutters, "He did what?" His smile has been replaced by surprise and then a grimace. The Dread Pirate Roberts asks Lleu, with concern, "She's ok? That's. Troubling." Wesley looks down and shakes his head softly, "She has my most heartfelt sympathies. Let her know if there's anything she needs that I can provide," he glances sideways for a moment, "I mean, other than some cheesy gift cards. Either of you can call on me, or," he turns around and holds Buttercup's wrist.
But Wesley can see the topic is still sensitive, as it should be, and changes the topic, "Can I get you another drink?" Then turns to sign something to Buttercup.
Yep, Baymax has been shuffling around the party, tending to things that need tending, doing little waves but otherwise mostly keeping business moving smoothly. And now it's time to shuffle back to the cabin, because there's stuff to handle in the kitchen, too. Work work work.
Dúnedain-Lleu finishes his beer and glances aside for where the recycling is collected, then back to Westley, "She's fine this time. It's not the first time he attacked her. Dragomir is to deal with it and I'm ordered to stay out of it." Aye, it's a sensitive topic. It makes Lleu angry. Enough so that he adds, "I promised to tell spooky stories. If you want to hear this one, we should probably step aside a little away from the party. Or you can catch me later to hear about it."
Buttercup looks surprised on her own, a soft frown replacing the smile on her face. She sighs and looks down to her bottle, shaking her head a bit before taking another drink. The touch on her wrist makes her look up again, and she gives Westley a soft smile before he starts to sign. She shakes her head a little, her free hand moving to sign. Taking note of Lleu's upset she reaches out to gently touch his arm lightly, letting him know what she signs next is for him.
Brooke finishes up her last bite of food and there is an audible buzz from her pocket. A sigh, and she pulls out her phone. "Well, that figures. At least I got to finish the plate of food. It seems my little Philodox has decided to start teething already and once he starts in on that cry, only mommy can soothe him. It was a nice time, but this Browncoat has got to fly." She stands up and bows her head to those at her table, waves to the others around and heads out.
This catches Blade/Dre by surprise, and he looks to Lleu, though he respects his privacy, he gives the Galliard a nod of his head. He would ask later, though he is happy to hear that Faith is ok. He sighs a little bit and stands up himself, "If you want to talk outside of this let me know. Pretty much I spend a lot of my time at the Caern." he offers and looks around. "Everyone thanks for having me here." he says. Placing his hands into his coat, Blade/Dre looks to be ready to head out himself.
Meanwhile the other musicians keep playing upbeat party Halloween music! Singing along like a bunch of drunk'n fools and having a good time! There's fireworks thanks to Branton, good food, lots to drink, many games and prizes - and even prizes being given out for best costumes!
Phantom waves to Brooke as she stands. "Well, it was good seeing you. Have a good evening." He glances over at Blade/Dre and Lleu but doesn't say anything.
Paul seems a bit flustered, his face concerned but he seems relieved to hear Faith was okay. he tries to lift his mood some and He looks at Branton, and when he doesn't think he will break his concentration he says, "I got that bag for you ready, just need the final words to bind it to you."
Spider-Man waves to Brooke the Browncoat as she goes and looks to the Phantom then follows his gaze.
Morticia drifts around the party slowly then quietly exits, stage left....
Walking in to the party, fashionably late, comes Bonnie and Clyde. Guns in hand (toy ones), they come with a purpose. Calling out to the party, Bonnie announces, "Hey! The party can start now, Bonnie and Clyde have arrived. Put yer hands up, and give us all yer candy and nae will get shot tonight!" Of course she is kidding, but the fiery haired Ahroun wouldn't be herself unless she made an entrance. She elbows Clyde and gestures to him, "Go collect us some goodies and get me a drink, aye?"
Naiche for his part just is here, as always. He is here being a good attendee, with plastic pumpkin buckets to take if needed for storage.. and a station full of apples in water. Apple bobbing!? Either way, the suited up Naiche- literally wearing a suit, is just sort of hanging out, and humming, being a silent staff- just here to watch and listen and help if needed. Otherwise, Naiche just hangs out.
"I'll catch you later and get out of your way so I can hear this spooky story," he tries a soft, empathic smile. "Just not to scary, or you'll give me nightmares." Wesley lingers for a moment, looking like there's something else, but instead, it's Buttercup that gives Lleu the reassuring touch while Wesley translates, "She'd like me to pass on she'll buy Faith some bear spray. And if Faith wants to get her butt thrashed, she'll be happy to spar with her." Wesley uses his fingers to air-quote spar, then senses another place to put another line he memorized, "But not to the death. To the Pain!"
He takes a look to his side. There's Paul. With a pained smile, Wesley nods. "Hey Paul. Where's your other-half? I don't think you've met mine, Buttercup. Buttercup, Paul."
Yes, there's lots of Halloween candy, pumpkin pie and all manner of food - but also JERKY! Lots and lots of jerky in many flavors and kinds! And beer, and hard booze, and live music!
Paul turns to Westley, and manages to give the man a smile before looking to Buttercup. He gives her a deep nod of his head, "Nice meetin' you, Miss Buttercup. I'm Paul Barakat." He shrugs then and replies to Westley's question. "Bobby was here, but went to check on the bear cub, and Niccia had to go check on her little 'un. He's a handful."
Buttercup's touch to his arm gets the Dúnedain's attention. Lleu gives her a soft smile, "I imagine she'd enjoy sparring with you, or shopping, or doing anything really. She gets lonely and having a hard time feeling welcome in the Nation." A soft laugh at Westley's 'to the Pain!', "All right, deal." Lleu turns his head at the sound of Bonnie and Clyde arriving and he lifts his empty beer bottle to them!
Sean gets up to go get himself another drink and some food and then carefully clip clops his way back to his seat and flops down. Ugh. Oh god. The pain. He's sitting with Phantom and Spider-Man at the moment, just chillin' with the elders. Yeah
Coming back into the party, Winter-Arwen looks so relaxed. She tucks her hair behind her little fake elf ears and looks about feeling super chill now and not overwhelmed by the folks around.
Buttercup's shoulders move in a silent sigh, and Westley gets a bit of a look, but Lleu's reaction stymies any real ire from the woman. She smiles and nods to the Dúnedain then with a small curtsy turns to follow after the Pirate. He does get a light pinch, aimed at his hindquarters before she smiles at Paul and lifts her hand to wave lightly in greeting.
"That's right, this is a stick-up!" Jes calls out, pulling the trigger on his toy tommygun so that the end spins around, whirling a handful of bills-on-strings like a little money tornado. At the elbow from Isla he smirks, heading over to the bar to order up a couple drinks, then unfolds a sack with a big green dollar sign on it, tossing two handfuls of candy in like loot. He pops a Nat Sherman between his lips, lighting it with his Zippo and taking a puff, and takes the drinks he's given, handing over a scotch on the rocks to Bonnie while he sticks with his Old Fashioned. He catches the gesture from Lleu, then nudges his companion and saunters over, dipping his head. "Well, looks like you pulled some clothes out of your high school time capsule, there, grandpa," he says cheerfully, taking a sip of his drink. "I heard you guys voted Robin Hood class clown."
Sean lifts a hand to wave to Winter
Isla sips her drink, and walks with Clyde over to great the Old Man. "Heh, aye. Hardly recognized you, Old Man. You look better with clothes on. How's it all going? Glad to have your drink back?" She keeps a hand on her pistol and twirls it a bit in her hand. Like she isn't used to not having something to do.
Paul can't help the grin that comes over his face at the appearance of Bonnie and Clyde, and he nods to them both, trying to figure out if he's met them or not. So hard to tell tonight with all the costumes.
"Niccia-oh!?," the Dread Pirate Roberts begins, then jumps when he's pinched.
Then it's Bonnie and Clyde. Wesley gasps, and pulls out his sword. Shh-ing. Wobble, wobble. The costume rapier flailing.
"You mean you'll put down your rock and I'll put down my sword, and we'll try and kill each other like CIVILIZED people?" Wesley takes a fencing stance and a few jabs nowhere near anyone, for safeties sake even if the blade couldn't cut air.
Winter spots Sean and wanders over. "Hey man." She smiles and takes a slow breath."Oh, way better." She waves her long sleeves a little and gestures to Sean's costume. "How are you holding up in all that?" She ask and hides her hands in her sleeves.
Jes and Isla both make Lleutrim laugh, "Aye, last time we saw each other we were all naked and painted in swirls of blue woad! I'm so glad you two could make it to the party." He finger guns at Clyde, "I like your style, belly'n up to the bar with that six gun. How are you two doing?" The Dúnedain glances down at his clothes, "As a matter of fact, a pretty girl at the costume shop picked this out for me. You can ask Sean, he was there." A nod to Isla, "Very glad. Only drinking beer tonight. Been playing music, which I'll get back to shortly."
Buttercup steps back when Westley starts to take his mock jabs with his sword, turning to walk back towards the drinks. She deposits her empty bottle with the rest before getting another, then looks around for an empty seat to claim for her very own.
Buttercup joins the Chairs on the Lawn.
Westley's capa fero catches Jes' attention, and he levels his Thompson at the pirate, but says, "Honor among thieves, man. We rob banks, not ships. And we have nothing to do with the revenge business." He tips his hat, winking once, and then tips it to Paul. Oh, lots of strangers. That's what happens when you set up shop outside city limits.
"Hey, we /still/ get naked and paint ourselves with swirls of blue woad /every day/. It's better than coffee, plus she's got those butt dimples," Jes replies to Lleutrim, making a little spirally shape with his cigarette. "When I paint 'em, she screams and smacks me and talks in her fucking Scottish gibberish." He winks at his Alpha; obviously the duo never quit with each other. "We... are fucking great. Fiery Bellona asked me to be her Beta, and we sought out Weasel as our Totem and claimed ourselves some territory. It's been real, Grandpa; the adventure never stops."
Sean grins at Winter, rising, wincing slightly, waiting for her to sit, then he flops down in his seat again. "You cold? You okay?" He looks down at his outfit and shrugs. "I'm kind of thinking that duct taping this shit on was a bad idea."
Spider-Man watches the party getting silly and looks at Sean, "You used duct tape? That's gonna be a thing yeah."
Phantom glances around again, checking out some of the new arrivals then looks back at Spider-Man and Sean. "Yeah, just pull it off really fast when you do. Otherwise...well, do it fast."
Paul's eyes widen as the talk turns to naked blue people. He listens though, having gone quiet. More the way he was when he first came to town. He finds a place to sit down, and just watches and listens.
Winter sits and smiles lazily. "I'm good. I'm chill." She sighs and looks at Spider-Man and Satyr Sean before twisting to look at Lleu. "You're going to play more later? Right on."
Sean nods sagely to Spider-Man. "Yeah. About the time I was all done, I realized that my knickers had slipped. But the pants were still in place, so... I was kind of thinking of just..." He makes a 'getting bigger' motion and a little pscheew sound. ".. and hoping for the best."
Dúnedain-Lleu lifts a brow at 'painting butt cheeks' and 'fucking great'. He looks between the two of them and it takes a second to keep his mouth from following his brain /there/. Instead, Lleu tries to take a drink of his beer but forgot it was empty. So, he drops it off in one of the recycling bags and snags himself another one! "I wish I knew how to speak fucking Scottish gibberish. I need to find someone to teach me Scots Gaelic." He smiles, "Congrats on forming a pack together! I'd love to come out and see your area, if I'm welcome."
The very last faerie light has come to rest between Sean's satyr horns, glowing like a forgotten Christmas light.
Isla takes her toy gun and 'mock' pistol whips Clyde upside the head with it - Gibb's slap style. "Aye, and I can replace ye if ye keep up with the stupid comments, Sprinkles." She bumps her hip into him to boot! Clearly, they have quite a lot of fun poking each other. "I may have them dimples, but yer ass is covered in freckles, so there!" She sticks her tongue out at him. She takes her elbow and leans it on Clyde's shoulder "So aye, we are 'The Devil's Own' now. How bout ye? Making progress here yerself?"
Peeking when his companion moves away, Wesley keeps an eye on her for a moment before returning his attention to Clyde, lowering his 'weapon', and relaxing his stance. "You seem a decent fellow. I hate to die," he offers. Besides, he has someone to be with.
It takes a few tries to sheath the rapier, and then he offers a wave bye. A glance is given to the food, before joining Buttercup at the lawn chairs. His awkwardness with sitting while wearing a sword takes him a moment to squirm next to her and into a comfortable spot. With an inquisitive look, he signs something to Buttercup.
Westley joins the Chairs on the Lawn.
Buttercup smiles as her companion comes over, curling her legs up on the chair as she settles in with her beer and signs to him.
"As you can see, dude, she's still every bit the lady," Jes mutters to Lleutrim after the pistol-whip to the head, taking a drag on his cigarette and rolling his eyes. "And yeah, of course you can come visit. It's a couple of cabins and a big fuck-off lake, there's all kinds of crazy-ass room out there. Come see it, hang out, have a swim, or go fly-fishing in hip waders or whatever people your age do. Anyhow, like, we're all blooded together anyway, so no duh you can come see the place. Someone's gotta make sure you're taking your blood pressure meds." Another drink of his Old Fashioned, another look around, and a question; "Any of these fuckers worth knowing?"
Sean glances up at the faerie light between his horns and he reaches up with his little ET finger and wiggles it at the light. "Sup little dude. Did you know that Black Furies are mysterious and wonderful," he mutters to the little will-o-whisp, then BAM! TAKE THAT FAERIE LIGHT! Sean's fingertip lights up and he wiggles it again at the faerie light, then gives his hand a shake and it goes dim again.
Isla watches the guy with the sword and whispers something to Jes and then laughs. "Aye, we do aim to come by here and find some of yers to teach us some new tricks. Gotta keep up with our training even way the fuck off at the Falls and all. The Goopmistress taught us some stuff, and were gonna hang out with her more later, but obviously need some more diverse help." She grins, "Of course, there was this owl that came by. He was fucking cool."
Dúnedain-Lleu laughs, "I'm not that old. Swimming sounds nice. Stick the rest up your ass, my friend." The Galliard turns and starts pointing some people out, "It's hard to tell when people are wearing masks with costumes. Sean's over there, dressed as a Satyr. He's Fianna and he's very good company. I could hazard a guess who he's seated with but ... better to make introductions when people faces aren't covered. You should come by the Caern and the Kinfolk house sometime." A gesture in Gandalf's direction, "Branton over there's in charge of our fireworks tonight. Outstanding man. Skully's around here somewhere, made most or all of the food here. Xenovia and Aleksandr's party. I don't see them at the moment." No, not using Rite or Deed names at the moment as he often does. A brow is arched, "Goopmistress?" and "Owl?"
The poor wee faerie light the last one left and the only one Lleu spent gnosis to keep around all evening. With Dúnedain's attention elsewhere, it sort of floats absently around Sean, the Phantom, and Spiderman once Sean's poked it with a finger.
"Yeah, Mocks-the-Dark; he was cool as shit," Jes replies to Isla with a nod and a grin, puffing on his cigarette and looking back to Lleutrim. "Invited us out camping to his island. Definitely a keeper, that guy." When Lleu starts pointing people out, Clyde nods and takes mental notes. Sean, Fianna; check. Branton; check. Skully; absent, but cooks, so good to know. "And... Goopmistress... is... fuck. Mercy's Messenger. There it is. Glasses, dreadlocks, kind of sexy in a geeky way? Anyway. We're meeting folks, but we're overdue for a trip to the Caern. We know it, we've just been hella busy renovating and stuff."
Ghost-on-Water has swiped Lleu's guitar. Someone else is playing his drums and another has a flute. They've given up on Halloween music and are jamming away now on 'Highway to Hell' by ACDC, man! Rock on.
Isla nods, her curly locks starting to fall more out of the beret on her head. "Aye. Had to clear out our pack territory. Fucking VampireFomori and his kids.. nae gonna keep that fucker around. We sure showed them. And will show any fucking agents of the Wyrm should they think they can invade our land." She downs the rest of her scotch, like it was water. "So yeah, got to get with Mercy's Messenger, and I think she mentioned that guy..um. Aye Branton. Fer help with my new bow string."
Spider-Man watches Sean playing with the light and chuckles, looking back to the Phantom, then to the little light. "Special effects budget here works."
"Are we going swimming?" Winter asks and sits up with a slow blink. She watches Sean light up his finger and she snorts. "Getting some fun out of your finger, E.T.?" She asks and laughs softly, covering her mouth. She's high, in a relaxed, weedy way. She looks from Lleu to Sean and nudges him. "Want to go swimming?" She asks and slinks down where she sits.
Branton perks up when he hears his name mentioned, he changes the image in the fire to be himself waving at Isla "Evening miss. Branton Kholer aka the Human Torch...at least for this evening."
Paul watches the couple sign, and sighs. He hadn't realized when he was introduced, and should have signed to her. He just smiles a bit as he finishes the last of the food on his plate, and glances around. When the music starts back up his attention goes to it.
Phantom grins at Spider-Man and Sean then nods. "Yes, and no CGI. Thank goodness. Sure can't compete with the real thing." He downs the rest of his preferred beverage. "Actually, I'm going to have to get going. Check on Giselle. This was great fun though." He focuses on Sean. "Remember to stop by. I'd like to hear more about these Talens you're making." Spider-Man gets a clap on the shoulder. "Take it easy, Boss."
Jes does a finger-roll trick that snuffs his cigarette and strips it, sticking the butt in his chest pocket before he knocks out another Nat Sherman and lights it. When Branton introduces himself, he grins around his cigarette and says, "Should've asked you for a light, then. Death's Jester, Fianna Ragabash, Cliath and Beta of The Devil's Own under Weasel, blah blah blah. Mercy's Messenger told us you've got tricks that have their own tricks."
He points his cigarette back at Isla and says, "Right. Bowstring. Also, if there are more vampires, I heard fire was good? We had vampires. Like fucking... I dunno... gophers. In our territory."
The couple signs, then there's smiling, and then light kissing. Something is said and Wesley grins broadly, murmuring to her. Slipping from his seat, the Dread Pirate Robert twerks for Buttercup. Not for long; just as a lark. And then slips back into his chair, knocking his sword sideways before he settles back into the chair properly.
Dúnedain-Lleu smiles, "Hell yeah, Mocks-the-Darkness-rhya is one cool bastard from all I've heard. I've only met him once I think. I wouldn't mind a few lessons from him on sneak'n around and ambushes. I hear he's really good at that." Then a laugh, "Goopmistress! How'd she get that Byname? I love Mercy's-Messenger-rhya. She's awesome." Aye, he's in a good mood. Isla drinking scotch has gotten Lleu to find himself one and he's given up on the beer. "A vampire-formor ... what?" A look around, "Here, come meet the others. That's Winter, over there." He'll push off from the table, "And that's Paul - he's a real nice guy, Cat-kin." Lleu looks back to Winter, "Go swimming now if you like. Lake's right here. I should get back to playing music, myself."
Ghost is over there rolling over into Bon Jovi music with 'Wanted Dead or Alive' in honor of Bonnie and Clyde!
Buttercup covers her mouth, laughing silently behind her hands as she turns a few shades pinker in the cheeks. She starts to reach up to snag him by the belt loop to pull him back into his seat but he beats her to it.
"Swimming? Um. You can. I'm more concerned about how I'm getting this costume off." Because duct tape. That's why. He lifts a hand to Phantom in a goodbye. "I promise. Very soon." He looks back to Spider-Man. "I didn't think this was going to be fun, but other than the feet and the wax job I'm going to end up with, this wasn't half bad at all."
Spider-Man looks to Winter, "He used duct tape to get those feet on. Duct Tape." a red spandex finger points at Sean, "You SEE how much hair? This is a tragedy. But add time and it's a comedy, so let's give it a few minutes." Looking to Sean, "They're gonne hear it when that tape comes off in Los Angeles."
Paul waves to the couple when Lleu introduces him, tapping his foot to the beat of the music and giving them a grin.
That poor little lonely faerie light floats around here and there and then gets directed to take a nose dive - right into Isla's scotch glass, empty or not! Plop!
Isla grins, "Aye, fucker was sucking on a deer when we found him. Then their haven with the wee little ones - so fucking nasty and gross. The rotting corpses and death all around us. It was awesome I gotta tell ye." She laughs having really enjoyed herself. "Almost as good as finding Weasel - just tasted worse when we had to shred those things." She gags a bit. As he introduces the others, she brandishes her weapon toward them all, like a wave of the hand.
As Branton introduces himself and Jes chimes in, Isla adds on "Aah ha! Speak and he shall appear! Mr. Branton, cool. I'm Fiery Bellona, Fianna Ahroun, Cliath and Alpha of The Devil's Own. Aye, I'm looking to upgrade my bow. I'm a ace shot, but I hear there are more things the right people can do to it. I had this dream of being able to nock my arrow on one side or the other of the string, and depending on which side, it either show ice arrows or fire."
"I want to watch him take it off, with a camera so we can all remember this moment." Winter smiles and looks at Spider Man. "I bet he could take a bubble bath and soak it off." She adds thoughtfully. "But watching him howl like a girl at her first bikini wax is more satisfying."
Branton nods at Paul "Sure, what do you need from me for that?" then he nods at Jess "Vampires burn real good. As you can imagine they don't like me much at all." Then he grins over at Sean "If you want I can try and hex the duct tape off you. Worse comes to worse you wind up minus your outfit and naked as the day you're born but you'll keep your hair."
"Yeah, yeah, go rock out or on or in a chair or whatever," Jes replies to Lleu with a laugh, then raises his gun to Ghost and the choice of music, finishing off his Old Fashioned and turning to Isla. "Should we pick like... two people to introduce ourselves to, and nobody else?" he asks with a smirk before looking back to Branton, listening up. "Okay, good, so that wasn't a rumor. Filed away, then."
Sean looks at Winter and says, absolutely seriously, or seems so, at least. "You just want to film me naked. I won't let you objectify me, you ... you.. man-objectifier." He points his accusing ET finger at Winter. SHAME!! SHAME! Then he shudders and just.. sighs and glances over at Branton. "I don't think I want any hexes anywhere in that area. I'll just... deal with it."
Paul starts to answer Branton but then hears Westley and snort chuckles, wiping butterbeer off his chin, and glad the dark hides the heat in his cheeks.
Dúnedain-Lleu eyes Sean over there, "Seriously? That's like military dipshit 101. I should send you off to pick up blinker fluid and map squares. But what you really need is orange oil. Stuff will /dissolve/ duct tape adhesive but is completely none toxic to you. Make you smell real fine, too." He knocks back his scotch and grabs the bottle before Isla does. The Galliard goes over to retake his seat and make a motion to Ghost-on-Water to give him back his guitar as that song wraps up. Gimmee.
"I want to record it, so I can play it back with Iris later and laugh until we cry." Winter says and waves her hand at his glow finger. "Alien. You haven't even offered to get me a drink. I'm crushed. I'm going to get drunk and play music and go jam with Ghost."
Nonetheless, while he waits for his guitar to be handed back, Lleu pops off a few more faerie lights to go wander about to harass people with. Especially Winter because she's looking a bit stoned.
Spider-Man looks at Sean and Oh man that's just bad, I don't wanna be anywhere near here for this. I'm gonna get back home." He gets up, looks around and starts walking to the cabin.
Branton is sitting over by the performance area handling special effects (pyrotechnics). He nods at Sean with a mischievous grin "That's fair. I'm pretty sure that spell will only dissolve inorganic material so there's that. The orange oil's safer though, I can get some if you don't have a line on any." Then he turns back to Jes and Isla "Yeah, in a party like this introductions tend to get lost track of."
"I'm not STUPID, I just have duct tape stuck to me," Sean tells Dune and then eyeballs Winter, shaking his head and he pokes lightly at her. "You'll do no such thing." When Spider man gets up, so does he. "Have a good night." But then instead of following him out, he wanders C A R E F U L L Y over toward the drink table to get Winter a drink
Spider-Man walks to the cabin and climbs up the wall.. He's Spider-Man. Pauses, looks around, then climbs up onto the roof.
And he's gone.
Oh man, the lights. Winter looks awed by the lights and follows them slowly. "Duuuude. It's like real faeries." She marvels and looks at Sean as he wiggles at her. "I shouldn't show Iris you squalling? Or get drunk?" She starts to get up and paws at the lights. "I'm going to get drunk."
For Winter they are /bendy/ lights.
Severus Snape-Aleks has been missing for a while, but he comes back alone and is, for some reason, wet. At least, his hair seems to be, as he shakes his head a little to dry it, just like a wolf might. He moves over to the table he was manning and opens to box with the guesses. He goes through them, not comparing them to anything, so he must know the count inside the jar. Every vote and then he looks at one in particular. “Khol Cooper has one the guess.” He holds up the vase of candy corns, the prize and looks for Khol. Nowhere to be found. The man shrugs and puts it back down.
Paul watches Spider-Man leave, "It's like he's got some cat in him..." He chuckles then looks to Branton again, "Not much to do now except you take the bag and hold it while I recite the last part of the ritual. Won't take long, but that way it will be bound to you. So if you shape shift, or move into the spirit world it's still with you. But unlike the Blessed ones it doesn't need gnosis to work, it works off your own spiritual essence. The bag is only thing really dedicated to you, but how much you can carry in it depends on your Mana."
"It's cool, we're fine with everyone asking 'who the fuck was that?' pretty much everywhere we go," Jes replies to Branton with another drag on his cigarette, eyebrows bobbing. "Good way to tell how your rep is spreading. Expectations are low now; we'll see how that goes next year." He blows a cloud of smoke out his nose, tilting his head to Isla and saying, "Time for another drink, Peach. I'll be back," then saunters over to the bar.
Dúnedain-Lleu has resumed playing the guitar. He and Ghost-on-Water set to jamming away on some Led Zeppelin music, playing 'The Battle of Evermore', as is appropriate for those who wore Tolkien costumes tonight, like himself. Plenty of scotch to drink, music to play, the music will keep going well into the night and so will the faerie lights, until Lleu crashes to go sleep somewhere.
When Winter gets up to wander away, Sean gets up too. God, his feet hurt. He moves along after her, if nothing else, to make sure she's okay.
Branton takes hold of the bag and waits while Paul does his work.
Isla sighs when she does not get an answer, but with the scene over the guy with the duct tape hair removal, it figures the drama is with him. At least there is liquor. The Fianna in her says, 'Time for a drink!' and she turns and walks closer to the Old Man and swipes the bottle of Scotch he took for herself since he's busy playing and she shoos the faerie light out of her glass so she can fill 'er up again... and maybe again. As she does and drinks some more, she sees the games and goes to check them out.
Winter ambles over to get herself a drink and looks at Sean. "On your feet? I wonder-if you just shifted you could skip the duct tape right? You know?" She suggests and looks for tequila-her tried and true friend. She turns to look at Sean and pats his chest. "Hey, you want to jam?" she asks him and smiles crookedly, distracted by the faerie lights and wandering off a little.
Paul rises to his feet, taking out a small tigers-eye looking amulet he holds in his left hand while he touches the bag Branton holds. He murmurs something that no doubt Branton can understand as Ancient Egyptian, but he speaks so softly the words are difficult to make out. There is no grand show, most of what happens Branton will feel however.
Jes laughs as his Bonnie gets her own damn drink, shrugging and downing the one he grabbed for her before moving on to his second Old Fashioned. He keeps puffing on his cigarette, moving up next to Alek and stating, "I think 'The Fragile' was your best album."
Severus Snape-Aleks begins cleaning up the table this game was on, as it’s over, but he doesn’t need to do much. He looks up as Jes speaks to him and looks quite confused. He doesn’t recognize the man, but it’s a party and people wander in, he understands that. The joke gets over his head pretty easily though. “What is The Fragile?” That sort of stuff is just sort of lost on him.
"As you wish," Wesley says, after climbing to his feet and giving Buttercup a nibble on her nose. He holds his hand out, offering it for her to use to stand, should she like after they've been murmuring sweet nothings and making face on the lawn chairs. Wesley collects her beer bottle, should she forget, then escort her to the pumpkins for goodies.
Branton shakes his head to clear it when Paul finishes and nods "This thing is pretty neat. I look forward to testing it out."
Buttercup reaches up and rubs her nose after he moves away, she makes a face at him, a soft grin following. Taking the offered hand from Westley she stands up, giving her skirt a fluffing out before heading with him over towards the pumpkins to collect one for the trip home.
Jes laughs at the confused response, but doesn't explain, instead taking another drag on his cigarette and stating, "I was told you and your wife... mate... you and your mate threw this party. It's a good party. Thanks for that." He tips his hat to the Silver Fang, leaving him to his clean-up.
Paul looks over to Snape-Aleks, "How far were we off?" He grins at Branton then. "I hope you get good use out of it. That ring you gave me helped me work better on it. It came out better'n mine did."
Isla sees the bucket with the apples and notices who is next to it. She comes up next to Jes, having finished her glass of Scotch she abandons it on a table and just starts in on the bottle. A not so gentle poke with her elbow to Jes, she gestures to that location. "Have we seen that one before?" She snaps her fingers a couple time and it comes to her. "The brain-dead one, aye?"
While his costumes pair selects the best pumpkin prize, Wesley offers the remainder of the room and wave from his gloved hand, and then lifts his mask. Dusk smiles at Paul in particular, "You and I selected the same number." His defense is a shrugged shoulder, "Seemed the most logical." With a glance, he checks to see if Buttercup has her pick, then slips an arm around her waist, he teases her, "You drive. I've been drinking all night."
"Oh, yeah, it's the Kid in the Helmet!" Jes replies to Isla, heading over to Naiche and his bucket. "Did you find your yard yet, little guy? Shit, hopefully someone micro chipped you." He looks around, calling out, "Did anyone lose a weirdo? He's just kinda sitting here."
Severus Snape-Aleks bows his head to Jes, though he’s still, apparently, waiting for an answer that doesn’t come. He seems to move off it after a small delay. “Thank you, but it was not me, at all. Xenovia Ivanovich-Sylvan and my pack mate, Weathers-the-Storm are really to thank. I am simply allowing others on my territory. That is not always comfortable, but one does well not to always defy the storm.” He turns to Paul, raising up Khol’s guess once he finds it. 643. “The number in there is 648. Very good guess. Many were very close.”
Buttercup looks up and grins at Westley, looping her hand through the strap on the pumpkin. Her empty hand loops around his arm and she gives a firm nod of agreement. Glancing over her shoulder as Jes' call goes out, tilting her head a little bit to look past to Naiche.
"Well, see," says Sean, wincing with every step. He's got those ridiculous hooves on and it fucking HURTS. "Well, you don't skip it. It stays there. It doesn't shift with me or anything." "What are we jamming and where are we jamming it?"
Paul grins then at Westley, and signs to the couple as well as vocally tells them, "Night you two, be safe out there." He shakes his head. "I was over."
"Nope. She's got her weirdo right here," Dusk offers, pointing to Buttercup. To Aleksandr, Dusk waves, and mouths a slow Thank. You. When Paul signs, Dusk blushes softly and averts his gaze, "Oops."
Paul grins again at Dusk, gives him a thumbs-ups, and takes his plate over to wherever they are being stacked. "I could help with clean up if you like?"
"I don't know. I wanna hear you play. And if you're a wolf you can crawl out, no tape worries at all-right?" Winter considers. "But then you'd be naked after-don't do that, in retrospect." She considers and shakes her head. "We can goggle it. You wanna get out of your heels, Sean?" She asks and looks at his feet with a smile.
"Winter, the tape is stuck to me." He makes a motion in the general direction of his hips, but... not his hips. "I'll play though, sure. If it means I can sit down, yes." He nods over to where his guitar is, somewhere off and safe. "Could you get it for me? Pretty please?"
Winter shakes her head and looks at Sean's not his hips when he gestures. "Oooh, you're gonna want some soothing lotion for that." she pats his shoulder. "Get me a drink and I'll be back with your guitar satyr boy." She ambles off a little wobbly to find the guitar.
Sean nods to Winter and pours a nice, tall glass of something, then a dash of something else and a sprinkling of this and.. he's Fianna. Trust him on this, okay? When Winter comes back with his guitar, he's already sitting, and has drank about half of her drink, but I mean, not like she can drink all that and still stay on her feet, right? So he just pours it into a smaller glass and hands it over. "Trade."
"Drinking my drink?" Winter gasps. "Heathen." She takes the glass and tilts it back. Guitar is in Sean's hands, not her problem now! She'll sink into her seat to look at Sean. "Let's hear it."
Severus Snape-Aleks is already cleaning some things up. He’s probably put Xenovia to bed, too much to drink. He’s not closing up the party or the shop, it’s probably just something he does to avoid overly socializing. There’s no discouragement to those continuing to have fun at all. Especially since he stays nearby to keep an eye on it, or enjoy what’s happening, in his own way. His attention going to Sean and his playing.
