Ryla sits at a table, tablet in hand. Writing tablet. yes, paper and a pen. Her purse hangs on the back of the chair. Dressed in her power business suit, the lady has her hair swept up in a French twist, and looks ever the part of prim librarian, or more likely, therapist. Those glasses complete her look with black frames. She seems to be checking things off on a list perhaps. And is that humming? Yes, she is.
Dragomir comes walking into the private dining area, taking a moment to survey the scene and lofts a brow ever so slightly at the sight of a face he does not recognize. The man's nostrils flare a bit, catching something in the air which draws his attention. Dressed in a thin-fabric black suit, and wearing hand-made leather dress shoes, stained a dark crimson. "A recent arrival?" the man's question is asked, as though he would recognize you otherwise for some reason or another.
Ryla looks up from her work, and adjusts those glasses. Not like she needs them, they are just a fashion accessory - like Clark Kent. "Oh, hello!" She rises from her seat, leaving the writing tablet and pen on the table. She stands up to her full 5' height, amped up a few more inches with her heels. "I am Ryla Irina Penfield, known as Twilight's Glimmer, born on two legs at the time of the new moon, Cliath of the Silver Fangs, from House Wyrmfoe. Daughter of James Penfield, known as Glimpses-the-Unseen-Soul, son of Kristin Penfield, known as Voice-of-Blades, daughter of Darren Penfield, known as Brings-Calm-Through-the-Storm, son of Anthony Penfield, son of Theodore Penfield, known as Whitestreak. Hopefully you heard my howl announcing I had arrived from the Sept of the Golden Eagle?" She tilts her head a bit, noticing something more about him.
Dragomir steps over to Ryla's table, having just heard her present herself and nods his head, "Welcome Twilight's Glimmer, you are recognized." He studies the woman thoughtfully for a moment, perhaps noticing how short she is in comparison by the way he studies her with those intense blue eyes of his. "Welcome to Prospect, and to the Sept of the Enduring Spirit."
Dragomir lifts one of his half-gloved hands up and gestures towards his exposed tattooed chest, "I am Dragomir Mihailovich, known to the nation as Eye of the Storm. Athro Silver Fang born beneath the Judge's moon on two legs. I am a Royalist of the Lodge of the Sun, House Crescent Moon. My mate Felicity Hawtrey owns this establishment. You are welcome here." He gestures towards the bar and asks, "Can I get you food or drink?"
Ryla aahs! Family! "Why yes, that would be lovely. How fortuitous that you have come by. I was hoping I could have a word with your mate, and see about opening up an office inside Pennington Towers. I have heard of the business, and need a location suitable to see patients. Gaians only. I like to provide my services, if I can be of help." She continues to study him. "I would of course love to get you on my couch. The stories you would have.." She pauses to add, "I'm a therapist. So yeah, couch for therapy, not for... you get it." She is a bit flustered, but still has a big smile. "So what is good here?"
Sigryd chooses then to enter, ever present guitar case in one hand. She slows, seeing Dragomir. "Eye of the Storm rhya," she greets him politely. Ryla gets a nod, a slightly curious smile, Sigryd's head tilting just a little in a rather wolfish mannerism of curiosity. "I'm Sigryd Gierolfsdottir," she introduces herself to Ryla, "Fostern of the Get of Fenris, human born Skald, rite-named Dapplegrim by the Sept of the Troll Slayer." Having heard the question she answers, "All the food here is very good. You can't go wrong."
Ryla turns to Sigryd when she arrives, "Another potential!" Not stepping too far from Dragomir now, she smiles to the woman. Standing 5', and a few inches more from her heels, the professional looking woman with her light blonde hair swept in that perfect French twist and black rimmed glasses says, "I am Ryla Irina Penfield, known as Twilight's Glimmer, born on two legs at the time of the new moon, Cliath of the Silver Fangs, from House Wyrmfoe. A Skald? Well then we /must/ talk. I have got to hear all your stories! There is much I can learn, and then maybe we can delve into your issues as well, if you require any advice." She is eager. "Not pushing, but therapy is helpful for us all. That is what I do. I'm a therapist." Her eyes are a bit more eager than most - the new moon in her and all.
Sigryd leans back a little, manners threatened by surprise. "Therapy?" She shakes her head. "No. Thank you, but no." She recovers from the momentary funk and goes on. "Stories, though, I'm always happy to tell, or sing. I'm more into song and music by preference than told stories but," she shrugs. "To each thing its time."
His motorcycle parked outside, another of the Nation comes on down the stairs and unlocks the door to let himself in. Lleutrim's carrying his guitar case and has a motorcycle helmet tucked under his arm. Soon as he's past the keycode and the door closes, he reaches over to hang his helmet on a peg by the door before he comes on in. He goes first to the fire and reaches into his jacket pocket for a baggie. The guitar case is set down and Donnachaidh opens up the baggie to drop wood chips soaked in scotch into the fire. The elemental leaps up, popping and crackling happily. Lleu grins, "Thanks to Nascha, I figured out what you like."
The baggie goes back into a pocket of his leather motorcycle jacket ere his pale grey eyes focus on the others, "Eye of the Storm'rhya, Dapplegrim." And a polite nod to the woman he doesn't know.
Ryla steps back herself. "No offense intended. Just trying to get my foot in the door. I may be a little forward, but I like to help." Her voice is a bit high pitched, but considering her smaller stature, and blonde hair, it fits. "I look forward to hearing one of them. Or more." And then this other big guy enters. It is going to be a long night of introductions it seems. She takes in a breath and that smile is as bright as ever. The 5' tall + a few inches in heels woman greets the big guy. "Well, hello there! I am Ryla Irina Penfield, known as Twilight's Glimmer, born on two legs at the time of the new moon, Cliath of the Silver Fangs, from House Wyrmfoe. Daughter of James Penfield, known as Glimpses-the-Unseen-Soul, son of Kristin Penfield, known as Voice-of-Blades, daughter of Darren Penfield, known as Brings-Calm-Through-the-Storm, son of Anthony Penfield, son of Theodore Penfield, known as Whitestreak." She whews. Those Silver Fangs and their introductions! "I feel like I'll meet the whole Sept in one night with the revolving door around here!"
Theron steps down the stairs into the private dining. A smile on the Get kins face as he looks around and then heads generally towards Sigryd when he sees her.
Dragomir arches a brow slightly and offers, "Therapy?.. oh I am sure Felicity would get a thrill out of that. Admittedly, I have done a great deal of self-reflection over the last twenty years or so. Perhaps it would be useful to talk about it." he shrugs and then turns to look towards the others as they begin trickling inside. "Let me see about getting us some platters, and you can meet all the new faces. I will talk to Felicity about setting you up with an office and getting you somewhere to practice your.. wait.. you're a Garou Therapist?" that seems to boggle him for a moment, and then he shrugs, "Interesting."
Mora comes walking in listing to her phone, every few seconds she looks like she is about to say something but who ever on the other side is blabbering on and on. She takes a seat at a empty table and points to a drink on the menu to the waiter. After a few minutes she writes on a nap kin "On phone with grandmother do you know jam tech." she holds it up for everyone to see.
Sigryd notices Theron and greets him with a kiss. "Theron..." she says quietly, tones happy though. "Meet our Silver Fang therapist." She waves toward Ryla, then waves at Lleutrim. "Battle singer," she greets him back. "Ahh, two guitars. Maybe we'll have to play something." She toes her guitar case where she propped it against a table.
Theron blinks, "Our Silver Fang therapist?" the Get kin asks, "Did we need therapy?" he looks then to Ryla, "It's all her fault I swear..." he jokes.
Lleutrim picks up his guitar case and comes on over to where the others are, "Pleasure to meet you, Ryla, Twilight's Glimmer. I am Lleutrim Donnachaidh, Rite named Seinneadair Blàr, 'Battle Singer' in the English, born on two legs beneath the Galliard's moon, Fostern challenging for Adren, Fianna, a patrol leader of the Sept of the Enduring Spirit, mated to Faith Anne Donahue-Donnachaidh, Get of Fenris kinfolk and Sergeant with the Prospect Police Department. You are welcome to just call me Lleu." A respectful nod for Dragomir before he pulls out a chair. A soft laugh for Sigryd, "Of course you know I will play with you. Though, I do have important business to attend with Dragomir here once Wazi and Aleksandr can joins us in a bit."
Ryla grins to Theron, "That is what they all say. Come by once I get my office setup. We can chat." She winks to him, teasing of course. As Lleutrim speaks, she just has to ask Lleu, "Why is it that you are not just Fostern? Why is it that you say you are challenging for Adren? I mean. You either are one or the other, no?" She has that quizzical look on her face, as she adjusts those black rimmed glasses she wears. "And you are that far along and not in a pack? Are packs not a thing around here? I have not heard anyone say that they are in one at all. Or is that not part of formalities around here?" she looks now to Dragomir, the ranking Garou in the room. She just lets her thoughts fly, even as a Cliath.
Sigryd goes to order food, and beers for herself and Theron and then finds a table while waiting for the food. The guitar of course comes out of the case and she starts to pluck at it, checking the tune. She lifts an eyebrow at Ryla's question to Dragomir, and watches the Athro, not directly lest it be seen as challenge, but curious to the reply to the question delivered with the subtlety of a baseball bat.
Dragomir watches the interactions, crossing his arms over his chest and studies with the intense blue eyes of a judge. Surely he is measuring how the new Silver Fang carries herself with the members of the Sept. In fact, when she turns her questions onto Lleutrim, he seems to be starting to smirk with regard to the rank bit - though when it's brought to light that no one is mentioning packs he clears his throat some. "Packs are certainly important in the Sept of the Enduring Spirit. We have a few strong packs, and we have had others. I was formerly an Alpha of a pack, but I have since lost my place amongst them. There are numerous Garou here, and no good reason not to be united in a pack. We are stronger in a pack, and perhaps your questions will remind of us that very point Twilight's Glimmer."
He lifts a half-gloved hand to stroke at his bearded chin, as though he had to suck on a bit of pride there at that one. "As for Lleutrim's over-explaining introduction.. he's just trying to be more Silver Fang.. or he likes talking a lot." he grins at Lleu, before looking back towards the others.
"Curse of the galliard," Sigryd mutters about Lleu liking to talk.
Donnachaidh's mouth quirks as Ryla fires off her questions. He hasn't taken a seat, yet. "You are a bold one. I like that." Lleu then bares his teeth in a feral grin, "I said what I meant." She gets no answer as to his pack. Instead, the former Marine wearing a USMC T-shirt takes a seat and puts a hand up to get the barkeep's attention, "Pitcher of Murphy's Stout." Dragomir's comments get a brow raise, "You were my mentor an taught me what I know about making introductions. Who's guilty?" Smirk.
Soon as the server brings the pitcher of beer, Lleu thanks him and adds, "I'd like a 20 oz bone in Rib eye, medium rare with rosemary butter and sea salt. Loaded baked potato, side salad, platter of boneless hot wings with spicy Death sauce, three Cajun shrimp skewers, and a slice of apple pie. Please." He must not be hungry.
Ryla ahhs, "So a Nurture vs Nature issue. I see..." She reaches over to the table, and picks up her writing tablet. She scribbles a few notes on it, ever the therapist. Granted, no one can see what she wrote. "And Eye of the Storm'rhya, there seems to be much more behind all that has happened with you. Losing your place and all. I would very much like to help you work through those issues. I know you have contemplated it a lot yourself over the years, but some amount of life coaching from a third party without the same history could be of help. Please, let's schedule a time?" She isn't going to let up more than likely. "Perhaps it stems from something in your past, and family. I know mine has a whole lot of ghosts. I speak with some of their spirits myself."
Hearing what Ryla says to Dragomir, Lleu freezes. He looks from her quickly to the Athro and is hyper alert and real quiet for at least a few seconds.
Sigryd also freezes. She barely breathes. Then, slowly, leans forward just a little to get her weight fully over her legs so she's ready to move.
Paul comes out of the kitchen with a tray loaded with valentine shaped cupcakes, having no idea what anyone is talking about in the dining room. He gives them all a smile as he places the tray on the bar counter. "Evenin', how's it going?" https://amandascookin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/valentine-heart-cupcakes-01.jpg
Dragomir seems about to sit down, chuckling at the scrutiny that Ryla is putting Lleutrim under. Though when it's so quickly turned back to him, the man pauses mid-seat and blinks slightly. He draws in a breath through his nostrils and slowly nods his head before flopping back into the seat a bit less gracefully than he might normally. A half-gloved hand lifts up, displaying his palm in the air towards Ryla and says, "Gaia has given you quite the knack for this.. so be it. I will not disagree with you. Though.. I will require you to be accepted by the Warder and established in the Sept before I am going to entertain your questions Twilight's Glimmer. You are clearly a skilled New Moon." he motions his half-gloved hand around the room and offers, "I hope those of the Sept are prepared for the kinds of questions you will have for them. Self-reflection can be the hardest thing to see when gazing back at one's self." Not even mad.
Theron clears his throat a moment, "Keep her away from me." he jokes to Sigryd in a faux whisper. "She will discover all mu inadequacies."
Ryla bows her head to him, adjusting those glasses again. Anyone looking can tell they are /not/ prescription, and just off the shelf of the accessories counter. "I look forward to meeting the Warder, and establishing myself. I have my skills as a New Moon, but I'm Wyrmfoe, and I can do much much more." There is a bit of a grin. "Hopefully I can have that meeting soon and can get started on that quest here." Her eyes make it over to Theron, and looks at the rest of them. "Oooo cupcakes!" she squeals. Kind of like 'squirrel!'
Sigryd laughs at what Theron says, and relaxes when it's clear Dragomir wasn't overly offended. "You're -my- hero," she assures him. "So nothing to fear about me telling her," she nods at Ryla, "about you burning water or leaving the bedroom a disaster."
Lleutrim seems to be off the hook and deflected the Therapist's questions easily enough. He's seated with Dragomir, Sigryd and the others and offers Paul a smile, "Looks good. I don't do sweets as a rule - I'm going to try your apple pie, though." Picking up the pitcher, Lleu pours himself a glass before he says, as if to no one in particular, "I think, pokey questions incautiously phrased are likely to get our new Therapist her ass handed to her before the end of the week. Might want to watch your step, until people know you better." Dragomir is eyed and the male Galliard drinks his beer while he waits for his food order to come out.
Cody wanders down the stairs, pausing at the bottom of the steps taking note of those present. He inclines his head respectfully to those he knows and moves to the bar and get's a beer. Taking a moment to listen and watch after spotting a new face.
There is squealing over cupcakes and Lleu is accepting apple pie. Naturally, there is a thunderous stampede coming down the stairs into the private dining area, the sound announcing a heavily-tattooed, blonde teenage girl with muddy-red stained jeans, a torn tee-shirt, and a wide grin. Wazi doesn't do her usual trick of colliding with the wall arm first, instead grabbing hold of the end of the railing and swinging herself into the room proper. She lands in a slight crouch, a small cloud of dust billowing from her filth-caked sneakers.
She tilts her head a little, looking over the room and its occupants, then nods slightly and starts toward that occupied table. She looks almost like she's been living under a bridge, and that she's thrilled to be inside.
Sigryd starts to pack away her guitar. "I should get going though...I'm supposed to patrol tonight." She gets the guitar put away and stands, and leans over to kiss Theron. "Don't wait up for me." Lleutrim gets a wave and Dragomir a respectful nod. Ryla a bit of a grin, and Sigryd heads for the door.
Paul grins over at Ryla, "Evenin', Ma'am, haven't seen you around here before. You want one of these? We have a tray of chocolate ones too if you like that better than vanilla."
Since he's waiting anyway, Lleu leans over and opens his guitar case to lay it into his lap. It's a beautifully hand crafted 12 string classical acoustic guitar in a pale wood inlaid with darker burled Futhark Runes around the sound hole, with an intermediate wood both for the neck and to wrap around the sides. The tuning keys Lleu deftly adjusts as he plucks the strings are carved and polished bone. Subtle Celtic interlacement inlay accents the neck and the guitar strap.
Donnachaidh turns his head at the ruckus as Wazi arrives. He takes one look at her and FROWNS. "/Why/ have you not gotten rid of those clothes?! You can't walk around with all that dried blood. It'll get questions asked you don't need to be answering." He moves to stand and sets the guitar back down. "Have you even showered?" Yep, Lleu is DISAPPROVING of the Ahroun and looks annoyed with the girl.
Dragomir nods towards Ryla, considering her quite differently after this interaction - perhaps intrigued or even a bit unnerved by her. Either way he turns to look towards Lleutrim at what he says and offers, "It is the role of the New Moon to question.. as Gaia intends for them to. It is our responsibility to be strong enough to endure those questions Battle Singer." He turns to look towards Wazi when she enters, and then towards Lleutrim when he goes off. He seems slightly amused, and just allows the interaction to happen. "Puddle Jumper.. come meet Twilight's Glimmer." he motions towards Ryla.
Ryla notes what Lleutrim says, and scribbles something more down on her note pad. Her lips pursed as she is considering something and then writes some more. Before she can say anything, he's already up and angry? Yeah, there is /much/ work to be done there. She is concerned, but isn't going to step into that right now, not unless the girl needs help. Thankfully Dragomir steps in, and she can see about one of the cupcakes. "Vanilla sounds very tasty! And you can call me Ryla, or better, Twilight's Glimmer, and you are? Oh, and yes, I'm new here. Ooo, time for intros again!" She is excitable this small woman! She has a cupcake in hand, and a bright smile again meeting yet another person! Whee! "Hello there! I am Ryla Irina Penfield, known as Twilight's Glimmer, born on two legs at the time of the new moon, Cliath of the Silver Fangs, from House Wyrmfoe. Daughter of James Penfield, known as Glimpses-the-Unseen-Soul, son of Kristin Penfield, known as Voice-of-Blades, daughter of Darren Penfield, known as Brings-Calm-Through-the-Storm, son of Anthony Penfield, son of Theodore Penfield, known as Whitestreak." Nope, she does not run out of breath. The new moon is time tested as a Silver Fang to be long winded.
Cody drinks his beer, waiting for the Garou to handle their business before he approaches to meet Twilight's Glimmer. He eyes the note pad for a moment as if making a mental note, though a mischievous smile forms on his lips. He takes another drink while he waits.
Paul blinks at the talkative woman, giving her a respectful bow of his head before another grin, "Well I'm pleased to meet you, Miss Ryla. I'm Paul Barakat, kin to those that walk the dark sands of Khem, the Children of Bast. Welcome to Prospect." He picks up one of the cupcakes, places it on a plate along with a napkin beside it, and puts it directly in front of her. And Happy Valentine's Day too."
Wazi's grin dims a little when Lleu jumps to his feet to scold her, brow furrowing a bit, head tilting to one side as she eyes the man. Then she glances down at herself and gives a quiet snort in reply, shaking her head, "Humans do not see this," she answers wryly, "They see only mean scary doggy. Is Gaia's gift." Then her grin reasserts itself, the matter obviously settled, and she looks to Dragomir at the man's words, then past him to Ryla.
As the excited one gives her introduction, Wazi's grin grows wider, if anything. She tilts her head in the opposite direction, shifting her weight a little from foot to foot as the list of names continues, almost dancing in place. Then it ends and she laughs, moving to clasp her hands together, squeezing the air before her a moment as though giving thanks or holding water.
Then, she releases her hands and shoves them into her pockets instead, addressing the other woman wryly, "The Doctor of Emotion Thingies, I remember yes." A pause there, before she adds with another quiet snort, "I am Waziyata Puddle Jumper. Child of Gaia, Wyld, and Twister." A pause there, perhaps just long enough to seem as though she's done speaking before she pulls one hand free of her pockets to point at Dragomir, adding, "He is Just a Glitch, for friends." Then she points to Lleu, "And he is not having a name, but can be called Lleu. Also friend. Maybe both pack."
Then, her hand returns to her pocket as she grins expectantly at the others.
And Happy Valentine's Day too." (repose)
Lleutrim isn't angry. He does look annoyed. A glance back to Dragomir, "Hmmm." That for Ryla's questions. He returns his attention to Wazi and walks over towards her. "Paul, do you happen to have any spare clothes here? Something Wazi could change into to get out of this filth?" A nod to greet the new arrival, "Cody, hey there."
Donnachaidh's attention once more returns to Wazi, "Hmmm. And they let mean scary doggies enter restaurants up stairs? I don't think so. And you stink of blood. Let's get you a fresh change of clothes and I can dedicate them for you, if you don't have the Rite." Walking around in bloody clothes definitely is a no-no to the former cop! "Not to mention you put Aleksandr and Frost at risk if you run into Spirals, covered in his blood. I'm sure he's not going to thank you for that."
Dragomir leans back in his seat, taking up the pitcher of beer and pours himself a mug. The half-gloved hand moves to scoop up the drink, bringing it to his lips. The man's intense blue eyes shift, glancing down at his hand-made leather shoes and considers their crimson stain thoughtfully, making note to himself before looking back up towards the interaction. Perhaps he is intrigued how this will play out, as he remains silent.
Paul nods his head to Lleutrim, "Yes, Sir. We got some upstairs in one of the spare rooms by the apartments. All sorts, along with undies 'n shoes too. Sometimes have those animal born that might wander in, or those that don't have the dedication rite yet. I bet we could find something in her size."
Ryla blinks. "Spirals?" She looks to Dragomir and whispers low to him because seriously, questions!!! And this may not be the time to say too much right now... out loud. She does note Cody, but this all is something she has to pay attention to first.
Wazi's grin dims again at Lleutrim's words, her attention shifting to focus on the man. She doesn't seem actually angry or frustrated with him, even nodding slowly as the man continues speaking, "Is very, very stinky in scabs," she informs him in a matter-of-fact tone, "But you are right, outside of scabs and if they have good gifts. Give clothes, and I will wear those." Then, she steps on the heel of one shoe, pulling a heavily stained sock free of it, then toes out of the other shoe. Then she's reaching for the hem of her shirt...
Nope, not at all phased if Wazi wiggles and strips out of her filthy clothes right here and now. At least it's restricted access down here. Lleutrim looks to Paul, "Thank you. Would you please send someone for something that would fit her? She'll need shirt, pants or sweats, socks, shoes... " A hand is gently laid to Wazi's shoulder, "Let's get you to the bathroom. Use some soap to wash you up. Come on and I'll help. It'll take me a few minutes to dedicate the new set."
With a gentle but firm hand the Galliard tries to direct his lupus friend towards the bathroom. Lleu glances back to the others, "Won't be long." He's gotta look out for his little sister sort!
Dragomir watches, hearing the whispered question and turns to look back towards Ryla, "Yes, it is a valid concern. We have experienced a great deal of Black Spiral activity here - kinfolk and Garou have been targeted. This is a good lesson for Puddle Jumper, and Battle Singer is wise to give this teaching. Often times we forget about the ripple effects of the puddles we jump into." he smiles lightly, and then watches approvingly, before he turns to look back towards Ryla, "In fact.. my mate conceals her breeding for much the same reason. It is better to be cautious and burdened, than reckless and sorry."
Cody smiles towards Lleutrim and bows his head slightly in respect " Lleutrim, a pleasure." he says softly as he is addressed. He otherwise remains silent as those farther up the ladder than he is talk. At an opening he approaches Ryla. He isn't afraid to make eye contact, but never long enough to warrant any form of challenge. There is something in his posture, almost like he fights with his own posture, attempting to be loose and fluid but there is a backbone to his posture as well, a sense of regalness. He inclines his head respectfully upon arriving. "I'm Cody Covington, Kinmagi to the Fianna and others. Associated with the Devil's Own pack, and the Hospitality manager of Lucky Strike Falls and Devil's Brewing. Amongst the mages I am of the Verbena <ooc honored lineage> Eldest son of Alasdaire and Siobhan Covington." His tone is warm and friendly, but also has a tinge of respect and formality to it. "If you have yet to find suitable accommodations, we would love to have you enjoy our hospitality at Lucky Strike Falls." he says softly, offering her a small smile.
Yep, Wazi has no problems at all, stripping out of the soiled, blood-stained, muddy clothing. Before Lleu has finished listing all the items she'll need from Paul, she is standing in her socks alone, no sign of any underwear besides them. Nice and hygienic (not). She glances again to Dragomir and Ryla as the man speaks, before finding herself herded from the room by Lleutrim. She resists only long enough to duck and grab her Minnie Mouse backpack, and to strip a combat knife from the back of her discarded jeans, then she disappears into the bathroom.
There is a nod to what Paul leans in and whispers to him. Lleutrim smiles, "Paul says there's even a shower in the spare room. That's even better. I really appreciate it." A hand to the Bastet Kin's shoulder and then Donnachaidh goes with Wazi. They'll be a few minutes.
The beautiful 12 string guitar sits abandoned in the seat Lleutrim had been using, propped up so not to be sticking out and get knocked over. Hopefully. Just the server comes out with Lleu's 20 oz steak, platters of shrimp and hot wings, side salad, fresh baked bread and all else. She looks around, "Where'd he go?"
Ryla looks over Cody as he introduces himself. She lowers her glasses a bit to look at him as he speaks, and then readjusts them back up. She touches her hair to be sure it is all in place in that French twist. She replies in her higher pitched voice, "Mr. Covington, you are the model of Fianna hospitality and even have that in your job title it seems." And there is Wazi being naked and run out of there. "This place certainly is full of surprises. I like that." Back to Cody. She continues with her introduction yet again, knowing he heard it once before. A look back to the server, "Just leave it there. He's getting a girl redressed." Whether someone else eats it or not ... we will see!
There is a flash of light from the men's room and then Branton comes walking out. Stopping short he has a look around trying to figure out what he's arrived in the middle of.
Paul leans over and whispers something to Lleu as he leaves, and then gives Cody a grin when he arrives. "Evenin' how's it going?" He reaches over and gets himself a cupcake, and then moves to pour himself a sweet tea. He leans up then to the window into the kitchen and tells them to slow up on Lleu's order until he gets back in the room.
From the women's bathroom, there is the sound of a running shower. A short time later, Wazi's laughter is dimly heard. Hopefully they're okay in there.
Dragomir was watching the exchange, and he probably would have eaten Lleutrim's steak - because well.. his fault for leaving it behind.. no reason to waste meat. Though Paul is disciplined, and doubtlessly Felicity wouldn't let that happen, so neither would he. Dragomir could just order his own steak after all, but instead he reclines and crosses his blood-soaked leather dress shoes at the ankle, and sips his mug of beer. A glance is given towards Cody at the introduction, intrigued and he offers, "Quite generous. You can inform the Fianna that the Silver Fang tribe provides for our own, though we appreciate the offer to house our new arrivals. Pennington Tower certainly can accommodate Twilight's Glimmer and her practice."
Dragomir turns to look towards the bathroom, shaking his head lightly, before he catches sight of Branton's arrival. "Evening Branton. We might be having an umbral discussion here soon.. it depends on.. well.. variables." he leaves it at that.
Cody nods his head ever soo slightly, "It is my pleasure, Twilight's Glimmer-rhya" though a slightly formal still since he is addressing a silver fang. He nods his head and smiles to Dragomir " Of course Eye of the Storm-rhya." He says respectfully with no hint of offense. He glances to Paul and grins at the man, his posture loses some of the rigidness when he speaks with Paul. He "It goes well. Finally all unpacked and all that. I am thinking on having a house warming get together in the near future. Business been well?" He inquires. He glances to Branton as he enters and holds up his mug-o-Fianna-go-juice in a salute to the man then takes a drink. "Branton, hope you and Iris have been well." He says by way of friendly greeting.
Wazi gets zero reaction or comment from Donnachaidh. Nope, not giving her the satisfaction. Once she's done with the shower he has her sit down to help him do the Rite of Dedication on the clothing. It'll take time and that huge steak is either going to get cold or over cooked. Eventually the pair wander back in. One former Marine and one wet haired teenager.
Lleu picks his guitar back up, "What happened to my steak? I hope it's not ruined." He resumes his seat and drinks his beer before he pours himself a refill. "The food here is outstanding if you haven't tried it yet, Ryla." A smile for Cody, and an up nod for, "Starshine McBaldfire! Pull up a chair."
The Fianna Galliard then looks to Dragomir, "We, Wazi and I, would like to ask you more about the Legendary Realm and getting there."
Branton blinks a couple of times and nods at Dragomir "Well I decided to come out for food and beer and socializing as a break from practical spell work and enchanting items for communing with the dead. Living spirit stuff would be a refreshing change. Should I be high for this? If I'm going to need to open the way through the city's gauntlet my perceptions need altering."
At Lleutrim's appearance the staff brings out his order, but something must have been mixed up. They end up bringing out TWO of everything he ordered and places it on the table.
Wazi is grinning mischievously as she steps out of the bathroom a moment after Lleutrim, then following him to the table. She drops into one of the open chairs, then looks at Ryla and informs her in a very smug voice, "Now he is named Noise Maker." She glances to Lleu, as if for the man's reaction, and then there is food being brought out to the table. She blinks, grin turning to a surprised look as she turns instead to watch the servers or, more specifically, the food they are serving. She licks her lips, then turns her gaze expectantly to Dragomir. She shifts her weight a bit, almost squirming in her seat as she eyes the man.
Dragomir watches, silently entertained it seems as he reclines back in that chair. At Branton's words, he offers, "The intention was just to talk about it.. though partake if you so choose." he gestures a half-gloved hand mildly, not seeming to have any objections. Then he glances towards Wazi and Lleutrim once them re-emerge and he nods his head towards the indication of a discussion. "Alright.. come sit, ask me whatever you wish. I will share what I know, and prepare you the best I can." He looks towards the others in the room, "Might as well include the others as well.. very few experienced cosmologists in the Sept."
Ryla raises one eye brow and writes something more down on her writing tablet. "I would enjoy a good meal. I've heard everything is good here, but I always like to hear what the locals feel is the best dish." She sniffs, "The meat does smell good." She gives a smile to Dragomir.. almost a smirk. Seeing that it appears his gathering may be beginning, she walks back over to where she had been sitting.
Paul looks over at Branton, "You can do that? Wow. I still got so much to learn it ain't even funny."
Branton nods and shrugs at Paul "I'm told I thin the barrier some just by being around, spirits think it's great. There is a particular path of sorcery that some spirits can teach that involves manipulating the gauntlet, making it thicker or thinner as you choose. It requires extensive preparations though." Nodding at Dragomir he moves over to join the conversation.
Lleutrim snags a spare chair to put his boots up on, crossing his ankles now he's moved his guitar safely out of the way. He /was/ going to play it and may yet, later. But first, food. "Wow, thanks, Paul! Send us out some of the House Ribs - that's what this place does best, BBQ ribs, chicken, sandwiches, you name it. Everyone dig in - I'll share, and we can always order more." The Galliard's gesture clearly indicates that /Dragomir/ should help himself first to whatever he wants on the table, as the highest ranked.
A brow is lifted at Branton. Lleu asks, "Really? That's very useful." With a look to Wazi, Battle Singer jumps right in. "So, we'll open a moon bridge and at its highest point we can debark and ... what sorts of Wyrm exactly do you think we'll run into? Banes I assume, lots of them?"
Cody drinks his beer and listens.
Mora comes walking back in to the room "glad cell phones have batteries." She place a order for her drink and nods to the question of the days special. she looks to everyone here trying to figure out what is been talking about."
"Banes are primarily drawn to the Legendary Gates. The Wyrm has worked hard to try to cut us off from our Ancestors in hope that we will forget our past and stop practicing our Traditions. Severing us from our ancestry is one of the keys to the Wyrm's victory over us. The gates are well fortified for that reason. There will likely be an overwhelming number present at any entrance we find.. a frontal assault will cost many lives." Dragomir offers the explanation and shakes off the offer of food, and gestures for others to eat. He seems content to sip his beer at the moment. "We used a distraction tactic last time, so that Defiant-Storm could enter unscathed."
Ryla makes some notes, listening carefully. Obviously something is being planned. This was a good night to arrive here and meet with them all.
Aleksandr does make his way around to the Smoke & barley more these days since the Silver Fangs took over. Still, his usual purpose ends up being feeding and speaking to the Fire Elemental who watches over it. That being the case, the Theurge is here for a different purpose today and eyes roam the gathering one by one, stopping on Ryla with a raised brow. He bows his head first to Dragomir, then the rest in some preconceived order he has. The discussion has already begun though, so he wanders, silently, over towards the Elemental and sets his backpack down and starts feeding it. He looks a good deal less pale than yesterday. No surprise. He starts feeding the thing wood chips from it as eyes fall on Dragomir to listen. Some things he knows, some he doesn’t, or has heard, anyway. He’s as interested in anyone about the topic, if for different reasons. H doesn’t offer anything in the way of words, yet.
Branton is listening but not pitching in just yet, this sort of stuff not really being in his wheel house. He does dig into some food when it's his turn though.
Wazi sits up a little, then slouches forward, resting her elbows on the table and planting her chin in her hands, eyeing Dragomir with a suddenly serious air as the man begins speaking of the Legendary Gates. She licks her lips, glancing at the food on the table just briefly, before refocusing her attention on the man. "Many Names says gates are very hard to find. You say, ancestor spirits. We do this thing because L- Noise Maker does not know his Ancestors." A pause there, the lupus glancing at Lleutrim, before she refocuses and asks, "It can be done still?"
A slow nod from Lleu as he listens. Once Dragomir declines, he pulls one of the steaks over and starts cutting it up, drizzling it with the rosemary butter. On his smothered potato as well. "I see. So we need to be smart and come up with a plan to draw some of off or something." A look to Wazi and Lleu nods, "Yes. You mentioned my consulting with one of my Ancestor spirits to guide us to the Legendary Realm. But how?"
Mora thinks for a moment "do we have any rites or gifts that tricks Banes to come to a area. If so we can set up a ambush and then deal with them. but that will be a very short term, if you know where they have a staging area."
Branton holds up a hand to interject "Why not just go to your Tribe's Umbral Homeland realm. Wouldn't that be easier? At least a lot less vigorously defended. I think there's even a rite to open the way to one if you can find it."
<OOC> Branton says, "http://whitewolf.fandom.com/wiki/Tribal_Homeland"
Dragomir considers the question and says, "Summoning an Ancestor spirit is no easy feat.. though there are those capable of such within the Sept certainly. That is far beyond my capabilities. Though I can tell you, that our Ancestors are proud and brutal.. they do not look kindly on how many of us have forgotten what they sacrificed to protect. If you wish to appeal to an Ancestor spirit, be prepared to prove yourself. I am not able to assist with this currently, I am unable to speak with my Ancestor until I rescue him."
He turns to look around and offers, "There are other ways into the Legendary Realm, but it is not easy. Finding a smaller entrance is possible, though one would have to be quite lucky to even have a chance. Terminal Velocity attacked the Banes at Bane Bridge, and distracted them just long enough for Defiant Storm to slip inside - then we had to retreat. Fortunately no lives were lost." Dragomir turns to look towards Mora, considering and nods, "I can certainly get their attention.. but if they are as numerous as they were before.. I will not survive long."
“I think he meant an Ancestor spirit, not necessarily yours, Battle Singer. Though one of your own might be best. And I would suppose it because they would know best where it is, as it is their stories being told.” Aleksandr nods to himself as if it makes a lot of sense to him and then turns to Dragomir to see if the man confirms his supposition or not. A nod then though. “I can do and have. Once. I could also speak to my Ancestors, they may know the way.” He shrugs. “It is doable.” He tosses more woods chips to the elemental to burn. He, too, considers the banes then. “I will have to think on this, Eye-of-the-Storm-rhya. There must be a way to sneak in, if we must without all of us lost. Banes are creatures of purpose, perhaps we can appeal to it, though varied as they are.” His brow furrows at that for a long moment in consideration.
He glances at Branton then. “I think, Branton Kholer because that is where his challenge is taking him. It takes him to the Legendary Realm, I have foreseen it. He could always decline the challenge, but, I do not think that is what he wishes.”
Paul has devoured his cupcake, and now gets handed a plate filled with grilled shrimp. This young man seems to never get full despite eating almost continually as he works. Yet he is just as slender as the day he first came down the stairs here, even though his muscles have increased. He listens to the interesting conversation quietly.
Branton nods at Aleksandr "Fair enough. My approach to problem solving involves breaking things down to base principles and what he said sounded like needing to get in touch with his ancestor spirits, or identifying which of his tribe he's actually related to since he's a lost cub. That'd make going to the legendary realm like swatting a fly with a tac nuke. But if securing passage and gaining entry to the Legendary Realm is the point? I withdraw the suggestion."
Wazi listens to all that, and when Lleu begins to dig into the food, she reaches to one of the plates of chicken wings, dragging it over to herself before replanting her elbows on either side of the plate. But then Aleksandr is speaking and she sits up and turns, looking over her shoulder to the man. A grin is offered to him, along with a lifted hand now clutching a sauce-smothered wing. Then she looks back to Dragomir and says, "Chases Mountains could sing howls that made Wyrm come away to him. Did show me, once. His gift. Maybe this thing would help?" A pause, as she looks again to the long-awaited chicken wing, then adds, "Is better if we all are with Lleu, not only him. Three Enchiladas watching him. Better for to help him."
Then, she is biting into that chicken with a quiet sound of pleasure.
Mora hmms "sounds like you need a way to scatter them, but that's not hard to do. But when they gather like that they have a central leader, take them out and it would be easier to deal with them."
Lleutrim is eating his steak and the rest of his dinner. A napkin is picked up to wipe his mouth at Branton's interjection. Donnachaidh looks to Dragomir to see what he thinks, "Do you think we could go through one Realm to get into the other more easily, or just over complicating the problem?" A glance at Ryla to see if she's still taking notes. She's gotten very quiet - no questions! Lleu picks up the newly replaced pitcher of Murphy's Stout and tops up Dragomir's glass first, then offers to pour one for Ryla ere he'll top up his own. Probably Wazi won't want any.
"We'll have to give it some thought. I'm sorry I wasn't along when you went before with Defiant Storm'rhya or I'd know better what we are getting into." He stops to listen to what Aleksandr has to say. Lleu gives a thoughtful nod, "No, you are right. I shall not decline it." A negative movement of his head for Branton, "I am a lost Cub no more. I am Fianna. For my Adren Challenge, Calls Down the Rain'rhya says I am to learn my history. Speak with my Ancestors. Live one of their Legends, if I can."
Ryla is certainly writing notes. Of course, no one can see what they are. She could be making stick figure pictures or writing "I <3 Silver Fangs!" for all they know. She pushes her glasses back up at one point, and yes, is very quiet. Too quiet. The Ragabash may be very talkative, and very full of questions, but when things get serious, she listens. And listens closely.
After a few more minutes Lleutrim gets his wish and BBQ ribs, bacon wrapped chicken tenders, a platter of thick sandwiches, sausages and even some fish comes out on several large platters. More than enough food to feed a small army.
Dragomir hears Branton's suggestion, and then turns to look towards Lleu at the question. "Frankly, you aren't worthy to go the Homeland. I am not even sure if I am yet. I only know that going there before you are considered worthy, is pretty insulting." He motions his half-gloved hand towards Branton and says, "Though it is a sure way to find an Ancestor spirit." he concedes that point to Branton before looking back and adds, "If someone could cause a distraction.. like Terminal Velocity did, perhaps one of the other packs here. We could use that opportunity to cross the bridge and get into the Realm. There are certainly other packs you could approach for this, and ask for aid."
He considers and nods towards Wazi, "Puddle Jumper is right.. you should have a group with you. Optimally, you should be prepared for all aspects of Luna's lessons in my opinion." Then he says, "Your ancestors will know why you are there, and what you will need to learn when you get there. You cannot leave the Legendary Realm until you have learned what they wish you to. You will repeat the same lesson over, and over until you understand." he pauses for emphasis there, making sure they understand just how important that aspect truly is.
"There are also other concerns within the Realm itself to be aware of.. but the first hurdle is certainly getting there. A good place to focus."
Branton grins broadly at Lleu in a sort of mischievous manner "That might be over complicating it but I have a different thought. It's up to you if you want to hear it and if it's useful or not depends a whole hell of a lot on the /exact/ terms of the Challenge. Because if specifically traveling to the Legendary Realm is not required? There might be another way. Is all I'm saying."
Aleksandr gives a faint shrug at Branton. “The future is not always easy to understand or to see, so I may be wrong, but this my belief from all I have seen.” With that, he glances to Lleu for an explanation of the exact challenge and gets it. Motioning to him, as if that is how he came to his final conclusion. He falls silent again when Dragomir talks, especially about the homeland realms and just listens for now, quietly continuing to feed the Elemental. Maybe having fallen into deeper thought.
Ryla feels itchy for not having introduced herself yet to Aleksandr, but there is a time and place for it, and not in the middle of this sort of conversation. She is still a Cliath, but is eager and ready to do something more.
Wazi busies herself with eating several more of the BBQ wings, chewing and slurping, smacking, but at least not chewing with her mouth open. She really isn't a complete animal, it seems. Then, she glances up at Dragomir's mention of every auspice, glancing between him and Lleu and nodding as she swallows, "Yes. That is part: Three moons not his. Is what Calls Down the Rain said first." She glances to Lleu as if for confirmation.
Mora is listing to all of this but she got food and food is good. She wants to add more but too much is getting added to what they are all saying.
Lleutrim listens closely to what Dragomir says, not insulted about not yet being worthy to go to this 'Homeland' Realm. "All right." Scratch that idea. "Skully's pack, perhaps. I've worked with several of them closely in the past." Then he laughs, "Oh boy. Like the movie, 'Edge of Tomorrow' or 'Groundhog Day'. Got it."
He looks to Branton, "I'm willing to listen. But I will take Eye of the Storm'rhya's and Lights the Darkness'rhya's advice on the matter. Aleksandr also had a vision." He looks to that Silver Fang, "Have you told Eye of the Storm'rya of this vision? Perhaps we should." A nod to Wazi, "Aye. We lack a Ragabash but I have an Ahroun, A Theurge, and if you come with me as well, a Philodox."
Ryla hears visions, and thinks dreams, and oh that therapists mind is working. Then her word! She's a Ragabash. If she was in lupus, her white tail would thump. But she just arrived. She needs to prove herself still. She knows not of these others mentioned, but she is on the edge of her seat. Again, taking some notes. scribble... scribble... scribble!
Dragomir looks to Branton, nodding his head and offers, "I would like to hear your suggestion Branton. You have always brought wisdom for my pack in the past." Dragomir looks towards Lleutrim, lifting an eye slightly and offers, "Branton offers a very unique perspective to matters, beyond my understanding and experience, I assure you."
Branton holds up his hands and settles back into his chair "Okay If you're sure. If you have a name for an Ancestor spirit and a Theurge of your tribe you can work a summoning. And for living through one of their legends? How about the Battlefield Realm. Fianna stories haven't been my particular focus but If I know /anything/ about the Celts there's got to be some epic throw downs you could go experience. Like I said though, it depends on the exact terms of the challenge."
Aleksandr remains silent where he is, looking between Branton and Dragomir. Somewhat like Ryla, he’s taking notes, just in a different fashion. Silent and pondering the things said. His brow furrows a little at what Branton says, though he raises a brow then. “I am not sure the spirit of the challenge is meant to be sidestepped. But I also am not the judge of that.” He looks to Lleutrim then and shrugs. “It is your challenge Battle Singer.” He reaches down to pull out a few more wood chips. “it is certainly another perspective.”
Lleutrim thinks about what Branton says, "We can think about and discuss it to see if that's an option. Ultimately though, since Aleksandr had a vision that involves three Incarnae, and things of great importance in my future, I have to agree with him that I really don't want to blow it and do the wrong thing." He finishes his meal, wipes his mouth and gets up to fetch his guitar, "If we need to summon one of my Ancestors, then that's the next step. My Ancestor, him or herself, may weigh in with their own thoughts on what I should do and where to go to do it."
The Galliard goes over to take a seat closer by the fire now he's finished his meal. Lleu takes his refilled glass of beer with him and sits down to softly play his guitar for a while. Good music for the other to enjoy their meal and discuss as they see fit.
Wazi glances at Ryla at the mention of a Ragabash, grinning suddenly as the other woman goes still and then perks up. Wazi tilts her head a little, watching that reaction, before she looks to Branton as the conversation centers on the man. Her expression becomes thoughtful again and she nods slightly, before looking aside to Lleutrim. "He said make good story. I think. This would work?" She eyes the Fianna curiously a moment, before snaking a hand over to one of those bacon-wrapped chicken tenders.
A nod to Wazi from Lleu, "Aye, it needs to make a good story, so said Calls Down the Rain'rhya." And with that, Lleu picks up an old Celtic tune to play.
Branton nods and shrugs "Really it's up to the person who set the challenge what outcomes they'll accept as successful. And if there's Prophecy and Visions involved? I got nothing for that. I've done some craziness but I've never tried to run a con on Destiny."
Aurora comes down the stairs, faster than slow, which is positively speedy for her. She looks sleepy, her hair a little mussed, but her clothes are clean. She pauses half way down to peer down her shirt and she FROWNS and then sighs and then heads the rest of the way down and meanders toward the bar to get an order.
After Dragomir has made his exit and Lleutrim lapses into silence, Wazi shakes her head slightly. She chews on another bite of bacon-wrapped chicken tender, then looking to Ryla again, eyeing the other blonde. After a few moments, the teen messy-wet-haired addresses the well dressed woman with a frown, "What is your name? Too many said, I forget." She glances briefly to Aleksandr at that, for some reason, before returning her attention to the other.
Ryla looks up from writing on her tablet. "Oh yes, you can call me Twilight's Glimmer. I know, I know, my introduction has a lot to it. Silver Fangs, you know." She glances around seeing that the big conversation has lulled, and waits to see if she can finally speak to Aleksandr. And then there is another woman here too. Oh another chance to introduce herself!
Paul smiles as he polishes off one skewer of grilled shrimp and starts another. "Do we need another pitcher of ale, or do we still have enough?"
Aleksandr watches Lleu go off and Dragomir leave in the silence of listening to others. He’s probably already contemplating every angle of the Journey. When Branton speaks though, he shrugs. “Father would say that the future is never certain and so destiny is only so certain itself.” Then he’s turning back towards Wazi and the others before bowing his head to Aurora as she enters. He also doesn’t know her, and she gets a small study.
Eyes finally come back to Ryla and he bows his head deeply to her and straightens. Aurora is included in his vision. “I am Aleksandr Vladislav Grigory Alexeyev the fourteenth, Adren born on two-legs under the Crescent Moon to the Silver Fangs of the Sept of the Enduring Spirit, under the Lodge of the Moon and rited Lights the Darkness. Son to Walks in Shadow, Elder Crescent Moon of the Silver Fangs of the Sept of the Cold Wind, Scourge of the North. Grandson to King Luna's Blade, Elder Ahroun of the Silver Fangs, the White King of the Sept of the Cold Wind. Great Grandson to Claws the Spirit, Elder Crescent Moon of the Silver Fangs of the Sept of the Cold Wind. Great-Great Grandson to Rends the Flesh, Elder Ahroun of the Silver Fangs and King of the Sept of the Cold Wind. Great-great-great Grandson to Stalks the Wyrm, Ragabash Elder of the Silver Fangs of the Sept of the Cold Wind. Great-great-great-great Grandson to Luna’s Might, Elder Ahroun of the Silver Fangs and King of the Sept of the Cold Wind.” Then waits for Ryla to speaks hers, at the very least, before moving to Aurora.
Branton shakes his head at Paul and grins "I've got most of one over here, so we're good for the moment." Aurora gets a smile and a wave and a very excite greeting "How are you doing?! How are the babies?!"
Robert steps down the stairs, whistling 'voodoo' as he joins the growing party.
"Well," says Aurora as she once more peeks down her shirt. "They're small and I'm fairly certain that they are NOT turds with legs, mostly because the scream like the dinosaurs in that Jurashark Park movie." She leans against the bar, but is careful of her belly. "I need sweets, please. Very sweet sweets. I don't care what. And some meat, please." She hears an introduction, but she is actually trying to hopefully MAYBE get out of here without having to give hers.
Wazi tilts her head a bit to one side at Ryla's answer, watching the other woman curiously a moment before she snorts in response, nodding once, "Yes. Silly tribe," she agrees, though the tone is fond more than anything, "Just a Glitch maybe smartest here." Then she stands and leans across the table, trying to look at the writing on the other woman's tablet without any hint of shame or discretion. Just nosiness.
When Aleksandr finishes making his introduction, Wazi adds in a playful tone, loud enough to carry, "Is called Many Names, too."
Then, her attempts to look at that tablet are aborted, in favor of straightening up and looking excitedly to Aurora at the words 'Jurashark Park movie', the girl grinning. A pause then, expectantly, before she turns a disappointed gaze back to Ryla's tablet.
Aurora will notice a whole tray of Valentine cupcakes sitting there on the bar counter, ready to reach out and enjoy. Paul grins at her, "Evenin' Miss Aurora, you're looking really good." https://amandascookin.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/valentine-heart-cupcakes-01.jpg
Branton nods at Aurora and grins "They sound adorable. As for sweets I do have some more of that granola out in my truck, I was heading out to your place with it next. It's a two gallon pail of the stuff."
Ryla bows her head to the other Silver Fang. "I am Ryla Irina Penfield, known as Twilight's Glimmer, born on two legs at the time of the new moon, Cliath of the Silver Fangs, from House Wyrmfoe. Daughter of James Penfield, Elder Crescent Moon of the Sept of the Golden Eagle known as Glimpses-the-Unseen-Soul, son of Kristin Penfield, Elder Full Moon known as Voice-of-Blades, daughter of Darren Penfield, Elder Half Moon known as Brings-Calm-Through-the-Storm, son of Anthony Penfield, son of Theodore Penfield, Elder New Moon known as Whitestreak. It is an honor to meet you, Lights the Darkness'rhya." As Wazi tries to see her tablet, she might notice some various odd markings, but not much for her to see before she moves. She looks back to Aleks and Wazi and Branton, not knowing much more about Aurora and why babies might be mistaken for turds. "Congratulations on the babies?" She may sound unsure, but that was an odd way to meet someone.
Robert looks over at Ryla and lets the Garou make their introductions, and offers to help pack the food. "I'm sure sleep is just wonderful with all the baby dinosaur screams."
Aurora glances over at Branton and she nods, then grabs a cupcake for each hand for while she waits. "I would like that. Thank you. I just had to get out for a little bit. This is the first time I've shifted since they were born. They're VERY small and I've been VERY afraid of squishing them, but I haven't yet. If I roll over on them, they just toradectil scream until I move. How's a girl to get any sleep?" That's two introductions. Aurora takes a big bite of one of the cupcakes and then sighs quietly. Once she's got it chewed and swallowed, she says. "I'm Aurora, Morning's Pride, born on four legs. My auspice is much like your Philodox and my rank is like your Athro. I'm a Gurahl."
Paul motions to a platter of ribs then grins at Robert, and asks the other man quietly so he didn't interrupt the introductions, "Hey Bobby, how's the chimp? Ever figure out what was causing him to scratch that much?"
Journey comes out of the bathrooms, looking around and waving as he moves to the bar, "Hello."
Branton nods at Aurora "I can head out with you when you go then and we'll grab it from my truck. Do you need any other supplies picked up? Blankets and stuff?"
Another glance to Aurora from Wazi's attempts to see the Tablet. Then, she abandons the idea and turns to step away from the table altogether. One hand lifts absently to scratch at her nose as she moves toward the bear, eyeing her curiously. Wazi moves up close, almost into the woman's personal space though not quite, before dropping into a squat on the floor, sitting on her heels to look up at her. "Waziyata Puddle Jumper," she tells the woman, speaking slowly and carefully, "Ahroun, Fostern, Child of Wyld and Twister and Gaia." A pause there, head tilting a bit, brow furrowing before she adds, "Lupus." A slight nod then, before she adds, "Bear have no packs. How you are... Having safe break?"
Aleksandr bows his head to Ryla and then Aurora after their introductions. “It is an honor to meet you both.” A pause on Aurora. “Yes, congratulations on your cubs.” Another bowed head and he looks back to the elemental to feed it again. The talk of the Umbra and Realms dying off puts the Theurge quiet again. Only to bow his head to Journey once more when he enters. He's clearly listening though.
Paul grins over at Journey when he shows up, and he finishes tapping in Aurora's order of sweets into the POS. "Evenin', Sir. How's it going?"
Robert nods to Paul. "Nerves. He'd been moved more often than was disclosed. One of the interns is giving him some special attention."
"Bears CAN pack, if they want to," Aurora says to Wazi, tipping her head a little to the side to look down at the girl. "It's nice to meet you, Puddle Jumper. What do you mean having a safe break?"
Journey looks to a waitress, leaning in and placing an order, then turns around and looks around, blinking and heading to Aurora, smiling and putting a hand to his mouth, "Hi there, Aurora, how are you, and them?" He leans slightly, grinning, looking at the wee cubs with obvious affection.
Wazi's brow furrows as she considers Aurora from her position nearby. After a moment, the girl leans forward a little, sniffing several times, very obviously, before she gives a laugh. It's just about then that Journey appears to look so affectionately down the bear woman's shirt, "I see." That's all the Ahroun says, grinning now, before she shifts her weight a bit, "Good smell. Strong."
After that, she looks to Journey, glancing between him and Aleksandr, then back toward Ryla, before focusing on Journey, "Shaderunner'rhya. Lights Darkness'rhya has things to asking. Maybe?" Another glance to the named Garou.
Aurora wraps her arms a little bit around her and clears her throat as she looks up at Journey. "I couldn't leave them. Freyja's still sleeping. And I needed icing. Even Nutella wasn't enough," she half-whispers, then nods to Wazi. "They are strong, yes. But so little." And fortunately, not screaming like a dinosaur
Journey tilts his head to Aurora, listening, "Sweet, Icing. Okay did you get it?" He looks over to the bar, and manages to LOCK eyes with a waitress, and lifts a hand crooking a finger, then looking back, nodding to Aurora, "Okay. I'll make sure you've got it if you really need sweet." He straightens, and looks at Wazi, then past her, to Aleks, "Hmm?" For the casual nature of the noise, he is paying attention.
Robert looks at Aurora holding her.. self and fights the urge to not turn into Doctor Robert and start giving advice. "Would you like anything delivered? Everyone here wants the best for you and the little ones."
Aleksandr has been listening but silent for now. He’s not really an expert on babies, per se or sweets. He seems to be watching Aurora and Journey and Wazi with equal measure as he continues to feed a bag full of wood chips into the Elemental. Only when his name is mentioned does he seem to come out of whatever trance it is he is in and look to Journey, giving a bowed head. “Shaderunner-rhya, it is good to see you.” He gives a glance at Wazi curiously and then back to Journey with a shrug. “I do not have specific questions, exactly. Eye of the Storm-rhya seems to have a great deal of direct knowledge. But, it seems Battle Singer is meant to go to the Legendary Realm for some reason for his Challenge for Adren. I suppose, I would ask you for all you know. What advice you might give in this regard?”
Aurora nods to Journey. "I did. I also just really needed to get out and be two legs for a while." She peers down her shirt and then.. now that the jig is up, she peels out of it. She has rigged up a rather fancy but homemade sling to keep the babies nice and snuggled against her body, over another shirt that she wears. "I couldn't just walk them into town, so I had to sneak." She tucks the other shirt around them for extra warmth and shakes her head. "No, Journey takes very good care to make sure I can be very lazy in this time. Thank you, though."
Royce is ushered into the private dining area by one of the staffers. He nods his thanks as he looks around at the gathered folks. He shuffles off to the side, doing his best not to be obtrusive. Of course, given his large size and thickset build--not to mention the fact that he's still in uniform--it's not an easy task. He doesn't interrupt the conversation being had, instead waiting patiently to be acknowledged.
Royce does, however, take note of the bear cubs Aurora is holding. His eyes get wide as tea-saucers, and he looks up at her with an expression mingling awe and hope.
Ryla realizes there is someone of great import here, listening to all that has been said. She stands up and steps over toward Journey. Standing at her full height of 5', a few extra inches from there with her heels, the well kept woman with the blonde hair in that perfect French twist, and black rimmed glasses gives Journey a respectful nod of the head. "Forgive me for not speaking up sooner. I am Ryla Irina Penfield, known as Twilight's Glimmer, born on two legs at the time of the new moon, Cliath of the Silver Fangs, from House Wyrmfoe. Daughter of James Penfield, Elder Crescent Moon of the Sept of the Golden Eagle known as Glimpses-the-Unseen-Soul, son of Kristin Penfield, Elder Full Moon known as Voice-of-Blades, daughter of Darren Penfield, Elder Half Moon known as Brings-Calm-Through-the-Storm, son of Anthony Penfield, son of Theodore Penfield, Elder New Moon known as Whitestreak." The woman speaks a little fast in her higher pitched voice, and seems in awe of the Theurge Elder. She cannot help but notice the babies though. "Oh, how sweet!" They may be tiny, but they are babies! Squee!
Journey narrows his eyes at Aleksandr and takes in a breath through the nose, considering, "Legendary. To Challenge for Adren." He tilts his head, "Yeah he's penciled in, I take it you're not interested in showing him Falcons paths to Legendary?" He asks Aleksandr, and then says, "More interestingly,
Journey points over Aleksandr's shoulder to Royce, "Who's that?" He waves, "Hello.."
He looks to Aurora, "I'll be transport back when you're ready." He nods to her, then looks back.
Journey looks to Ryla, and nods, "Yeah, you're on my radar. One second." He looks back to Royce.
Paul moves forward then, his face ooohing and aaaaahing them as he looks at the cubs. He only gets so close though, even though he is known to Aurora. "They are really beautiful."
"They smell," Aurora informs Paul with a crinkled nose, but then strokes the teeny little sleepers on the head. "But they're cute and they're already twice as big as they were a few days ago." She nods to Journey. "Thank you, Journey." AND then Royce. "Hi."
Robert leans toward the babies, smiling at quiet little fuzz balls, "Long day of eating, screaming, and pooping?"
Paul eyes Joyce and nods his head at the man, but then chuckles and grins at Aurora."All babies smell, that's just the way it is." He shrugs as if it didn't bother him. "I bet they'll grow like weeds. You need some help, or want some time off just let me know, I'll be glad to help with 'em."
Uh oh. Eyes are on him now. Royce clears his throat and straightens his spine, clasping his hands behind his back. "Uh. Hi. My name's Royce Reiner. I'm a sergeant in the Department of Fish n' Wildlife. A game warden. It's like a cop, only out in the forest instead of the city. And, uh... I was told I could meet family here."
Ryla looks over Royce. "Family? What sort of family?" She is the one filled with questions, being the New Moon and all. "They let you in upstairs with just that information?" She is new and all, but she went through getting in herself. This seems fishy.
Journey listens to Royce, and nods, "Yeah you can. Could I trouble you for your claim to Gaian blood?" He asks, still smiling in that way that you do when asking a follow up question.
Robert looks up at Royce, eyebrow raised slightly. A familiar face in a new setting.
Wazi shifts her weight a little, eyeing each person in turn that approaches Aurora to coo over the babies. She doesn't move any closer herself, or retreat, instead just lingering nearby but out of arm's reach, settled on the floor in that easy sitting crouch. Then, attention begins to move to Royce and the man gives that awkward explanation of who he is. She tilts her head a bit, eyeing the man.
Aurora eyes Royce briefly and wraps her arms around the little ones, causing one to stir. It makes the softest little t-rex screech ever and the other one paws at it and it shuts up. Aurora rocks slightly back and forth to settle them. She nods a little to Paul, but doesn't say anything just yet until this is all cleared up. It's totally normal to carry around baby bear cubs, right? Right.
Aleksandr shrugs a little at Journey’s response. “I did not make the challenge, I only am interpreting it form my vision, Shaderunner-rhya, but yes.” Then he seems both surprised and confused. “Falcon’s path?’ Clearly, this is not something he knows of, or is aware of. “What is that?” But eyes flow over to Royce, also, and a brow raises at the man as he introduces himself. From Journey then back to Royce at the question.
Paul waits for Royce to answer, but he does notice Robert's look, and he looks back curiously to Joyce. He pulls off another shrimp from the skewer and nibbles at it as he waits.
Royce looks over to Ryla and nods. "One of my ancestors was an Ursine," he says. He looks down at himself. "I guess it's kinda obvious I take after 'em, huh?" He looks a bit sheepish as he looks back to Journey. "I'm afraid I don't know many details. All I know is that my ancestor was called Sarah Stands-At-The-Summit, and was something called a... Mountain Guardian?" He glances around at the faces. "According to the genealogy my family keeps, she married my great-great-great..." He counts off on his fingers. "Couple more greats... grandpa, Wilhelm Reiner, when our family moved over from Bavaria in the 1600s."
Journey blinks straightening and looks to Aurora, blinking, wide, eyed, and looks back, offering Royce a seat near her, "Have a seat"
Robert thinks it's completely normal to be carrying baby bears around, giving Royce a salute. "Well, if you missed last time, Robert Daw, at your service. Kin to the Mokole, Crocodiles that turn into dinosaurs that is,"
"I'm a Forest Walker," Aurora says, her demeanor changing completely from happy go lucky new mama to Talchwi Gurahl. "The Mountain Guardians are the grizzlies. I'm a black bear." She nods down to the protected bundle. "These are my cubs." She nods to the seat that Journey's indicated. "You are safe here, brother. Welcome." She looks over at Journey and then back to Royce and gives the man a little smile. "I'm Morning's Pride, Talchwi, Rishi, born on four legs. Do you know what all that means?"
Ryla steps back and lets the bears handle business. Seems odd to her the way this is going, but she listens and finds out.
Royce goes to sit himself down at Journey's invitation, nodding his head. "Thank you, sir," he says gratefully. He gives Robert a nod as well. "Yeah, I remember you," he says simply. Aurora, however, gets his undivided attention. Again, eyes get wide, and he leans forward eagerly. "Then it's true. It wasn't just a dream," he says softly. He listens to her introduction, blinking a bit. "Uh... the four-legs bit I got. I think. And Morning's Pride... that's like a... a spiritual name? Something like that? The other terms don't mean much to me, I'm afraid."
Journey gets into his satchel, pulling out a pen and post-it notepad and starts writing on it.
Frost steps inside, sliding her backpack off her shoulder as she turns to look the room over.
Aurora nods to Royce. "Rite name, deed name, yes. Talchwi is my rank. Not the highest you can be, but almost. Rishi is my Auspice, that's like a judge. Gurahl can change their auspice, and do often. You said you had a dream? Tell me." She looks him over, head to toe, as she's able and lightly pets the bear cubs she has in a little homemade sling. They're still VERY tiny. "You're the spitting image of Bjorn." Her gaze shifts to Journey. "Not the one we know. Because EW." Then back to Royce. "Where are you staying? Do you have a place to stay? Have you eaten? Oh! Gaia! Get him some food!"
Aleksandr falls quiet now that the attention has turned to Royce. There’s always a chance to learn something though, and it seems tonight it’s Bears. He looks between the man and Aurora as they speak curiously, absorbing, no doubt, whatever information is provided. Idly feeding the little fire elemental before him. He glances up when someone new enters, and gives Frost a little bow of his head, remaining silent. She might get the slightest of smiles, too, before his attention returns to Aurora.
Royce blushes a little bit under his beard at Aurora, but he listens to her intently, nodding his head to each point made. "Your little ones are adorable," he says with a soft smile at the cubs. "I know a couple bears out by my land, in the forest. I'm pretty sure they're a mated pair. Haven't seen any cubs yet, though." He laughs softly, waving off her questions. "Yes, I have a place. And sure, I could eat. I hear this place has great food. Thank you, ma'am, that's very kind of you to offer. As for my dream..." He glances around at the others, then back to Aurora. "I was chasing a Mystery," he says. One can hear the capital M. "Myself. My Heart-Beast. It's... part of an initiation for my... uh... religious order." He glances down at his hands, flexing his fingers. "I still have a long way to go before I'm completely in touch with it. My Heart-Beast. But... when I discovered it, it gave me a vision of Sarah. I saw her on top of the mountain, as both a human woman and as a Kodiak bear. That's when I realized who I was. Who my entire family has been."
Robert laughs, but does make sure a big plate of food is brought out, because Aurora said to, he does look toward Journey, makes eye contact, and mouths 'Eloise' to him between the bears talking.
Much of Wazi's tension has bled away as the conversation continues, the teen staying seated comfortably in her squat upon the floor, a few feet before Aurora and the bear cubs. She also glances to the stairs as Frost comes down, tilting her head a bit, then smiling at the woman. Then, her attention shifts back to Aurora and Royce. First, the bear woman gets a curious gaze, then Royce is being studied very closely again at his explanation of the dream.
Journey listens to Royce, and looks to Robert, pausing and looking back to Royce, "Seriously? You Awakened?" He asks curiously, then "I mean if you're looking to get into a Tradition, there's a pretty good contact for you. But please, let me know if I'm just babbling incoherently to you, I'm married, I hear that sometimes when I need it."
Frost gives a smile to the faces that she recognizes, a little wave of her hand to Wazi, before she turns and heads over to where Aleksandr is. She puts her backpack down on the ground before signing to him, and if others know ASL, "Busy night."
Robert would have mouthed Typhannie, because.. bear.. but she's never even here. He does give Royce a bit of a nod. "Journey here knows about everyone to know. There's more than a few that cross that particular line. Don't be a jackass about it though."
Aurora has no idea what most of that means, but she nods and then glances over at Journey and then back to Royce and she blinks, then looks at Journey and then back to Royce. "Awakened?" Yeah, clueless.
Ryla finds a place and takes a seat. This is just a time to listen and learn.
Aleksandr splits his attention between Royce and Journey and their conversation and Frost signing. Listening to one, watching the other. He nods to Frost after he translates for her if she needs it. “Yes. Seems to be busy always now when I come here. Maybe it was before, also, I did not come here often.” The question of Awakened gets his attention a bit more towards the conversation going on there. He also doesn’t seem to know the term ‘Awakened’ and it draws his curiosity to it.
Royce looks at Journey with a blink. Not frightened, per se, but startled. "Oh. You, uh... you know about the Awakened." He clears his throat. "A Feline I met told me to keep that part to myself. Said there were some of the shape changers who didn't care too much for folks like me. I apologize for not telling you, I just didn't wanna make a stir." He looks over to Aurora and nods. "I have the Gift," he says. "I belong to House Bjornaer bani Verbenae. An order of magi who explore our Selves." Again with those audible capital letters. "It's been my family's duty to protect the last of the Bjornaer for... well. A really long time. Hundreds n' hundreds of years, if Grandpa Jacob was tellin' the truth. Only now... -I'm- one of the last Bjornaer. None of us saw that comin'. Heh."
Journey listens to Royce and smiles, nodding, parsing the words, Journey speaks this. He nods to himself, and looks down at his hands and peels off the top post-it with a flourish, and sticks it to the table next to Royce. "My number. I'm Journey, Hi, I'll let Aurora tell you about me. But here." Scribble scribble write write, "Is the number for the most powerful Verbena on this section of the Coast, she's relates to us wolves, and will be happy to help you." Peel, stick.
Aurora listens back and forth between Royce and Journey and then finally nods to Royce. "You're saying words that almost mean bear, but I don't understand the rest of them. But that's okay, I think, since Journey isn't freaking out." She looks back and forth again and then focuses on Royce fully. "Journey has been a very good friend to the Gurahl, as have MOST of the Garou, and also some of the others, but mostly Journey. He has helped me through my time of pregnancy and made sure that I was fed and warm and the cubs would be safe while we slept. Listen to what Journey says. He knows a lot more than I do."
Frost takes a seat next to Alek, looking up as staff comes over. She smiles and picks up a menu, doing a couple of quick points to it before putting it down. Listening to the conversation curiously, though it doesn't appear as though she's following along much.
Robert offers Royce a grin and waggles one of his own ribs in his direction. "Also, there's a place called Sunhome out in the desert. Reduce, reuse, recycle type community, veneratin the sun" duh "and life itself. Pretty off grid, shoddy cell reception, all that. It's where I tend to do my thing."
Speaking of those who don’t like the Magi, when the word is revealed to mean that, there’s a subtle dip at the corner of Aleksandr’s mouth. He stills it before it gets too far, but Royce gets a whole new study. He doesn’t say anything though. He just watches the exchange between Journey and him silently. Apparently, like Aurora, that if Journey is okay with things, he is too. He doesn’t have to like it.
He turns back to Frost as there is a bit of a lull. “I could have brought you some food.” Of course, it doesn’t account for the fact he has no phone or easy way to get a hold of him.
Royce blushes even more deeply as Journey passes out those digits. "It's an honor to meet you, Journey, sir," he says. "And yeah, I've heard Eloise's name before, but haven't had the chance to meet her in person. I appreciate the contact info." He digs out his Smartphone and immediately starts putting the numbers into his contacts. He looks back up to Robert and nods his head. "I'm more of a forest guy, but I'm eager to learn more about this side of myself," he says with a bit of a smile. He looks back to his phone and makes a couple more taps to the screen before he pockets it. He looks over to Aurora. "The Verbena are... nature magi is probably the best way to put it," he says. "Wiccans, pagans, naturists. Our magick centers around the Pulse of Life. And as for House Bjornaer... we used to belong to -another- order of magi, called the Order of Hermes. But we were always the odd ones out. Bjornaer is a German House--most of the other Houses came from a Roman tradition. So, about five hundred some-odd years ago, we broke our ties to Hermes and joined the Verbena. And--" He stops, then turns beet red under his beard. "And I'm dumping a whole lot of stuff on you that you probably don't have the slightest interest in. I'm sorry, ma'am. I'll shut up now."
Journey listens to Royce and nods, sighing, "Well that's the kind of thing that can happen a lot easier when to align by ideology, rather than bloodlines. The best practical advice I can give you right now, is own it. The term Gurahl Kinmagi." He starts scribbling, then peel stick on the table, "Is not unique. That's Typhanie's number and she will be able to help you as well. She's also Gurahl Kinmagi. She's Hermetic.. Cope."
Robert chuckles a moment, "It does help that most around here are well aware that the most dangerous things out there in the long term are politicians, lawyers, and accountants. Mystic power may with a battle, but those will win a war."
Frost shakes her head a little and smiles at Alek, signing, "It's ok, I haven't had the time to come be social lately. This is nice." Then looks over to Royce as he talks. She listens curiously, glancing between him and Journey. Her lips purse lightly as she looks back to Alek, signing again, "Do not all Magi get along with one another?"
Royce takes the new number. This one also gets added to his phone. "Gurahl Kinmagi... I'll remember, sir. Thank you." He nods his head with a sheepish smile. "I got nothing but respect for the Order of Hermes. We still have a lot in common with 'em." Robert is given a nod of agreement. "I gotta say, becomin' a wildlife officer was one of the best things I ever coulda done. Not only is it work I love, but havin' a badge helps a lot with keepin' the forest safe."
Aleksandr focuses on Frost, though it’s a good bet he’s still listening. He shakes his head at the question. “I am not an expert on the Magi, what I know, I know from Branton Kholer. They have things like Tribes. I imagine, like Tribes, they also fight sometimes.” He gives her a little shrug. Once more, he does translate her question though to the audience, in case someone else might answer it.
Robert gives a little wobble of his hand. "More like frat houses." Especially the one... "Not usually bound by blood and family, but by perception and style."
Journey unpeels all of the post its and moves to Aleksandr, "Feed those to the fire." He smiles to Frost in passing, "How you doing, sorry, kinda busy. One of those engaging nights." He moves on back and nods to Royce and looks at his post it pad. He stops. "Yeah that's pretty much all I got but." He points to Robert, and nods, , then looks to Aurora, and smiles, nodding. Indeed, he is engaged in a more advanced form of the Welcoming schpeel and is working on getting the new guy connected with the local Mage culture. He lifts a finger, "Just keep in mind, if I may, Royce, We have a different Veil of Secrets, Rule of Shade. Whatever. These people are contact points. Keep the secrets on this side of that Veil, and the secrets on that side of the Veil." He nods to Aurora, then to Royce, "Just a point to remember to keep everyone safe. You answer to Aurora, not me, but that's my best word to keep out of trouble."
Frost gives Journey a bright smile as he passes by and speaks to her, nodding in agreement to his statement about the kind of night it is. A glance goes between Aleks and Robert as they elaborate and explain a little more, and she signs and mouths the words, "Thank you." Then her tea shows up and she takes the cup with a grateful smile and settles in to listen.
Ryla still has her writing tablet and has been dutifully taking a few notes. So much to learn here, as the new girl in town.
Robert motions around. "In any case, there are a variety of safe spots around, and places that'll make sure you're taken care of if shit gets dropped on you. So long as you aren't the one making the shit fall on everyone else."
Royce nods his head to Journey. "I understand, sir. And like I said before, I don't wanna make a stir. I just... want to know." He nods to Robert as well with a chuckle. "I try not to drop too much shit, yeah. It's a hassle to clean up." He double-checks his phone and then rises to his feet. "I should be gettin' back. I have patrol first thing in the morning. But it was really great gettin' to meet you all. I appreciate all the help and kindness you've shown me." He digs into his pocket for a card--for several cards, actually--and sets them within easy reach of folks. "That's my personal line, if any of you need to get ahold of me for any reason. You can also get through to me through the Fish n' Wildlife department. Just ask for Sergeant Reiner and the dispatcher can get you in touch with me." He offers a low nod of his head. "Have a good night, everyone." With that, he turns to take his leave.
Journey straightens and looks at Robert, "Oh I like that, Robert, bravo. Well said." He nods and looks to Royce, taking a card and nods, "Thank you. Rest well."
Aleksandr takes the offered post its curiously from Journey, but with a simple nod. Glancing at Robert as he explains the Magi further before turning back to Frost. He gives her a little shrug. He turns then to face Royce as he announces he’s leaving, giving a bowed head. “Luna guide you.”
Robert gives a shrug. "Well, in time I've been here.. I can count on one hand the ones you've put boot to backside. And each with a damn good reason."
Frost watches him leave, then gets up to go over and pick up one of Royce's cards. She looks it over curiously before pocketing it and resuming her seat, blowing on her tea before taking a drink. It isn't long after that before her food shows up, and she settles in to enjoy her bowl of mac'n cheese.
Journey looks at the card, pulling his phone and gestures to Robert, shrugging, looking at the card, programming into the phone, "Philosophy of the Ghetto Boys..." Whatever that means, and he nods to his phone, "Okay. That happened." He looks to aurora, smiling. "Great."
Robert manages to clean his plate of ribs, including bone and gristle. "Well, at least he came to the right place and met the right people. You all take care, I've got a chimp that needs anti anxiety meds..."
Aleksandr doesn’t bother with a card, doesn’t so much good without a phone. Though doubtful he would have grabbed one anyway. He does raise a curious brow when Frost does, watching her sit back down. But it’s what Journey says that gets his attention, mostly because he just made less sense than Wazi. He blinks a little before some confusion spreads across his face. Gaze going to the others to see if it’s just him or everyone. He moves back to the elemental to give him the paper Journey provided. A bowed head goes Robert’s way. “Luna guide you.”
Robert gives Aleksandr a nod, and bow to the room as he heads out. "And may the sun light your path and guide your way."
Frost gives Journey a curious look herself, but doesn't seem inclined to pry. Alek's look towards her however has her shrugging, a small grin crossing her face as she signs. "He works for the Park Service...never hurts to know someone on the inside for when I take my evaluations." She picks up her fork to poke it into the cheesy noodles, offering him a bite before she starts on it herself.
Ryla waves to Robert has he leaves.
Wazi sits quietly through all the talk about bears and mages and ghetto boys and anxious chimps. Eventually, she seems to get tired of sitting on the floor near the bear and cubs, rising to her feet and stretching a bit, before she yawns widely. She shakes her head forcibly, shuddering a bit, then turns and moves toward the cold food she was eating, scooping up a room temperature bacon-wrapped chicken tender. She glances to Aleksandr, then Frost, then Ryla, before turning and looking at Journey again. "Falcon Path?" she reminds him. Then she takes a bite of that cold chicken.
Journey is oblivious to Frosts signing.. at the moment, but "Parks Service. Like Daegan.. Without the disadvantages of being.. Daegan." He sighs, nodding, and moves to Aurora, leaning in, and straightening, "Okay we're heading out without the food." He looks to Wazi and blinks, then looks to Aleksandr, "Oh yeah. Come by the house, if you're interested." He moves to start gathering the food, and a few extra containers.
Aleksandr declines the offer of food from Frost with a little shake of his head and a small smile. Brief. She probably understands. There’s a nod then. “That is wise, perhaps, I do not really understand how human group works. I hope he can help.”
Then a glance at Wazi and back to Journey. “Yes, Shaderunner-rhya. I will come by, I have something else I wish to discuss with you, or perhaps, several things.” He bows his head to the man. “Luna guide you.” And then to Aurora, too. Another look at Wazi. “I will find out, perhaps, if an easier way, we can go that way.”
Ryla looks to Wazi, and just watches each of them. "Perhaps it is time to go home for the night. Much to do tomorrow. Hopefully find my way and all." She reaches for her bag and stat putting her tablet away.
Journey snaps his fingers, "Riiight." He rounds on Ryla, "A Psychologist." He give a serenely predatory smile to the woman. It's weird. "We'll have to have a nice long talk about the nature of Sanity." He looks quite interested in this idea. Might chill some peoples blood. "Unfortunately, Kinda busy, but I'm sure we'll find the time later."
At Journey's words, Wazi considers him a moment, then gives a slight nod in response, "I am with Twister. House will change." She eyes the man another moment, before yawning once again and turning her gaze to Ryla when the other woman speaks. She finishes yawning, then tilts her head a bit, "Look for Waziyata's friends. Good for learning this place." A tired snort then, before she is reaching for another chicken tender.
She nods to Alek, too, at his words to her..
Ryla nods, "Of course. I can see you will make a very interesting pat...conversationalist. When there is time, Shaderunner'rhya, I will be honored to speak with you." She is just the new girl, and Cliath. She can wait. Mostly. Ok, she will be checking in with eager expectations, but try not to pester.
Frost nods her understanding as Alek declines, starting to slowly eat. She looks from Journey to Ryla curiously, her head tilting a little at his demeanor towards the woman. At Wazi's warning a soft snort slips out of her, an eyebrow going up as she nods and looks at her food; it seems she finds that an understatement.
Journey gathers Aurora and the food and leads off to the bathrooms. And they don't come out.
Aleksandr looks back to Frost at that. “I am going to go, also. I can see you home, if you like, but I do not want to rush you.” He turns and bows his head to Journey and Aurora again, and then the others present before turning back to Frost attentively as he goes to do up his backpack and put it back on.
Ryla rises and takes her bag and there is a yawn. "Oh pardon me. Hopefully I will see you all again tomorrow!" She begins to make her way after a wave and heads for the door.
