Barony of Starlit Caverns

This is a Barony within the County of Emerald Dale, to the South of Prospect. The entrance to the Barony can be found in the forest that spans over the Southern side of Prospect, and much of its holdings stretch over such natural places. Recently given into the care of Baron Grayle ap Fiona and Baroness Scythia ni Fiona, the Barony boasts an abundance of dross-rich crystals, a valuable airship hub, and a burgeoning business in chimerical and treasure voile. It is also said that the barony does a brisk business in smuggling specialty items and acquisition and trade of rare and precious artifacts.
Current Information
Ruler
Baron Grayle ap Fiona, the Oathbroken and Unforgiven. Previously a Knight Errant of Count Belan ap Gwydion's court, theirs was an uncomfortable fit, the Unseelie Oathbreaker, and the Traditionalist Seelie Gwydion. Still, they apparently made it work given that the knight was promoted to Baron and offered the Barony of Starlit Caverns. But there are rumors swirling that the promotion was more than it seemed, some kind of machination, a political play between Belan and Duke Simon Cartwright. Something odd is going on, and it likely has something to do with Lady Scythia ni Fiona and her own claim to the Barony as ratified by Duke Cartwright himself.
In an attempt to make peace, Grayle and Scythia have agreed to take things Old School. The formerly Unseelie Grayle has shifted to his Seelie self and assumed the mantle of Summer Baron, ruling half the year from Beltaine to Samhain, while Scythia has accepted the mantle of Winter Baroness and will rule from Samhain to Beltaine.

- Summer Baron Grayle ap Fiona, the Oathbroken and Unforgiven, having recently forgone his Unseelie side, the newly Seelie Grayle has accepted the mantle of Summer Baron, ruling from Beltaine to Samhain.
- Winter Baroness Scythia ni Fiona, has pledged herself to the Bale of Starlit Caverns, retaining her Unseelie orientation and will be assuming the throne from Samhain to Beltaine.
- Baronial Trapmeister Anima Trix, Wrencher of Faith, a nocker master of booby traps, gadgets, gizmos, and weapons.
- Procurement Specialist Jonas, Wyvern Tamer, a grump troll who knows how to get business done.
- Sorceress (in Training) Ta-Nofret Weret-Hekau, Grayle's Fledge and budding Sorceress Supreme.
- Game Warden Daryl, He Who Hunts and Brings Death, a wolf pooka whose bite is worse than his bark.
- Seer Shavon, the most recent addition to the Starlit Caverns Court.

Current Plots
- I Dreamed a Dream: After Grayle and Scythia oathed to the Balefire, the freehold underwent some rather drastic changes. That night, the court members were attacked by the apparitions of catholic monks and a woman crowned and cloaked in flowers who appeared to have been either stabbed or drowned. Both apparitions seemed to be nightmares of the new Baron and Baroness. Who were they? Why did they attack? What other nervosa lurk?
- Relic Hunting: Grayle and Jonas have had a successful career as treasure hunters. What other items are out there, just waiting to be found?
Court Details
Notable Locations
Court of Stars - A massive dome of night-hued rock. Stars shimmer within the stone and the grounds are a lovely forest glade. Three concentric circles are formed from ancient stone monoliths and trees, while Court itself is held on a small island of marble and wood. The Balefire resides here, a gentle moon suspended within the night sky.
Emerald Spire - A room full of wonder and birdsong and the largest single emerald crystal in the Dreaming. The seam of precious gemstone rises the length of the mountain that houses the Freehold.
Dragon's Roost Tavern - A well maintained tavern and inn at the top of the Sky Perch. Rooms are for rent, and the food and drink are plentiful. The nearby hot spring isn't to be missed, either.
Sky Perch - A trio of interlocking brass cogs make up the platforms of the Sky Perch. Always in motion, these rotating platforms are a nexus of travel within the Kingdom of Pacifica and beyond.
Laws & Etiquette
Though the current ruler is nominally Seelie, the vast majority of the Court are openly Unseelie. That being said, hospitality, Guest Right and the Right to Life are all closely guarded tenents within the borders of Starlit Caverns.
