White Peacock
Beautiful and elegant. What more can I say? They don't seem to have a lot of colour, but their snowy beauty is amplified by their surroundings.

Golden Pheasant
I love-love all their colour! Bright and inquisitive. They're so pretty! They run around a lot, rather than fly. They can fly though. If you scare one, it leaps up into the air in a sudden burst of feathers and sound. Err .. not that you should go around scaring them, of course.

Superb Fairywren
They're so little! Kind of like me -- except very blue. I like blue too. They're very territorial and, um, promiscuous. I've only ever seen one, so I can't really say if that's true or not.

Rufous Hummingbird
Tiny little critters. The females are red, and utterly relentless. I haven't seen any attack, but I read that they're really fierce! Almost makes me want to see one fight.

Eastern Screech Owl
Short with like no neck. They have pretty, luminous eyes, but rally hard to spot on sight alone. These guys like are pretty loud, which is probably part of the reason they're called screech owls. Night hunters and day sleepers.

Golden Eagle
This is a big bird - hunter like the owl except they're usually pretty quiet and they hunt during the day. They're brown, but look fierce. I've read they like to eat pheasants and pigeons, but they -can- eat lambs, fillies and piglets. I wonder if that means they can snatch up little doggies too?

Common Ostrich
And talking about big birds, this one is huge. Taller than me! And super fast. They can run up to 43mph. I wish I could go that fast on my skateboard. But they're giant fraidy cats, and they can't fly. Oh, and they're so ugly they're cute. Guess you can't have everything.

Scarlet Macaw
Beautiful parrots that are monogamous and bond for life. They're lefties - they use their left claw for holding and manipulating things while their right foot supports them. They eat fruits and nuts mainly, but sometimes dine on flowers and nectar. They're also pretty noisy, but that's usually just to call their flock if they need help.
