Our battered suitcases were piled on the sidewalk again; we had longer ways to go. But no matter, the road is life. |

Camps
Source: WW3852 Silent Striders Revised p. 71
Dispossessed: - Members of the Dispossessed camp work to maintain allies and contacts within other Garou tribes or local political structures - anyone that can help them get a foot in the door. They are also drawn to packs with strong totem bonds; such bonds provide a sense of belonging that many of the Dispossessed crave.
Harbingers: - Harbingers know the value of allies and cultivate them whenever and whereever they can. Kinfolk are valued by this camp as well - not only are some spurred to join the Harbingers to protect caerns and the Kin who so often live nearby, but a network of Kinfolk is essential to provide support during a Harbinger's extensive and often erratic travels. Individuals with Pure Breed are welcomed to the camp with open arms, since the Garou of other tribes cannot help but pay closer attention to the warnings they bear.
Seekers: - The Seekers know more mystic rites than any other camp of Silent Striders (with the potential exception of the Eaters of the Dead, a possibility simply not discussed among the tribe). They are also quite likely to have a sack full of fetishes and talens found in dark corners and out-of-the-way places. They often serve as mentors to young Striders, and many keep in touch with their own mentors from their youth.
Swords of Night: - The Swords of Night are possibly even more practical than the Wayfarers - it's just that all that practicality is aimed at one goal: killing vampires. Fetishes, especially d'siah, are treasured. Warlike totems are preferred, for both aid in battle and the company of kindred spirits. Lastly, Kinfolk have been vital to this group, supporting the camp through centuries of secret struggle and often fighting by the side of Garou.
Wayfarers: - A Wayfarer can keep a Rolodex full of contacts in his head - it's how he makes a living. Like all Striders they don't have much in the way of money, but you can spot a Wayfarer who's good at his job by the number of fetishes he carries, all payment for services rendered. They carry a wealth of information in their heads, too, much of it in the form of rites - which they'd be happy to teach you, for a price.
Additionally, there are two secret Camps that practice ways that are not orthodox with the culture of the Tribe at large.
Eaters of The Dead: - When we were exiled, we stopped eating the brains of humans due to possible Wyrm taint. Some of our tribe did not stop. The Eaters of the Dead still practice the Rite of Dormant Wisdom in secrecy. Sure they know a lot, but at what cost? Some say they have begun to perform the rite on immobilized Leeches while they are still conscious.
The Bitter Hex: - These Striders are so ill-natured and spiteful at this point that they have taken it upon themselves to avenge all the slights the Striders have suffered over time. They are not violent like some camps in the Fianna. They use the evil-eye, the curse, the bad mojo, the Amria. Be careful not to cross them or you will find yourself on the receiving end of a curse. Your guts will be twisted into knots and leave you puking and feeble as a cub for a week.
