6/1/2022 9:51:30 Things are always going on around the caern. Reno's back into his old outfit, but still wears that sword on his hip. Right now he's sitting on a log, plate of food in hand. His hat sits on the log next to him, as does his coffee cup.

6/1/2022 9:52:49 Jackie enters the area, raising an arm to wave at Reno. She opens her mouth like she's about to greet him, but then Lockheed catches her eye and she gets distracted.

6/1/2022 9:54:53 Aurelia steps into the Valley, casting her eyes about with familiarity and curiosity both set alongside trepidation and caution. She wears her purse slung over her shoulder, and seems to be wearing the usual in terms of clothes.

6/1/2022 9:58:02 He might have been lost in thought, his fork pauses an inch or so before his mouth. He shakes his head, finishes the motion and then looks up. He sees Jackie and waves, but looks to see what's got her attenion. He looks to Lockheed and grins.
6/1/2022 9:58:02 Finishing the food in his mouth, Reno sets his plate aside for the moment. The horror! He puts his hat on and gets to his feet, reaching for his coffee cup. He looks a little tired, or worried, or both, his brow furrowed a bit. "It'll be okay." He offers, "It's good to see you though." He gets a refill on his cup. "I may have a solution for your trepidation though."

6/1/2022 10:02:59 Jackie stares down at the small wonder for a long moment, then back up. She glances over her shoulder at Aurelia, and recovers enough to greet her with a wave. "Hives? What hives?"

Her delivery is hardly serious as she approaches him, looking towards Jackie at the question. 6/1/2022 10:05:15 "Bee hives. I'm horribly allergic... I haven't been here for about 3 years now because of it but I guess today I just decided, 'I don't care.' 'Cuz here I am!"

6/1/2022 10:07:44 Reno tips his hat to the ladies. He sips his coffee and shakes his head. "No, but Kaia has a way of making some potion that does the same thing." He grins. "Won't cost you anything. I've asked to make up a few of them."

6/1/2022 10:11:18 Jackie looks up and sweeps her gaze across the trees, a concerned expression crossing her features. "Yikes, that sounds a bit scary. Let's hope none of them are in a stinging mood. Oh, uh, I'm Jackie, new here. Hi!"

But big pharma charges the value of one human heart for a single pen, so I'm usually keen on avoiding the risk entirely." Aurelia explains to Jackie, "I'm Aurelia though! Kin to the Black Furies. I'm a film and media student at UCP."
6/1/2022 10:15:15 She takes the moment to settle herself down somewhere nearby to Reno. Back against a wall, she folds her arms at her mid-section and sighs. She says towards him, "Really? I don't think it's super possible to make that kind of medicine for literally nothing... Is it? I mean, I know the spirits provide and everything but that just seems out there."

6/1/2022 10:20:27 Reno ohs, "Jackie of the Fenrir, Aurelia of the Furies." He shrugs a shoulder a little before taking his seat again, picking up his plate. Boy seems to always be eating. Or drinking. He looks to Jackie, "Have a seat? I'm just having breakfast before going back with Six's food."
6/1/2022 10:20:27 Turning back to Aurelia, "I'm not sure, but I've told her I'll work out whatever it takes for her to make them. So that's on me." He grins. "How's school going? How's Rhiannon? Haven't seen her in a few days either."

6/1/2022 10:24:53 Jackie drifts over near the others, hands in her jacket pockets. At Reno's invitation she finds a place on a log and stretches her legs out in front of her. "Dammit, sorry, I am bad at doing introductions right. So you're going to college? Is that fun?"

6/1/2022 10:32:13 "Rhia? Oh I'm sure she's fine. Her and Rhapsody have been really busy getting the gym set up... And I've been super busy with work and my internship." Aurelia replies to Reno, "But school's going well. I'm in the process of coding my own security software as an assignment... I feel good about it, but we'll see in the end." Her attention turns back to Jackie, and she shakes her head.

Deal?" He looks back to Jackie, "It's okay. We're among friends, don't fret." He nods, "Aurelia's right. But with your breeding, there is more to you than just 'Jackie of the Fenrir', some may want to know yer lineage. Just make sure you can give it, should it come up. Otherwise, Jackie of the Fenrir works fine in most cases."

Part of the reason I'm wanting to get this software made. More connections, less accessible. Unless the Glass Walkers already have something set up, in which case I can just link things up with their network."

"I would talk to Brooke. She has something in place, quite probably. I know she has secure phones. I was told I needed one."

For kin, it's a sign of how strong their ties are. It means that, should and when you decide to mate, you're more likely to have garou children." He gestures to himself, "For us, it means we're held to a higher standard than other garou."

6/1/2022 10:53:40 Jackie double checks her own pockets, even though she's sure she left her own electronics back in a locker. It helps her avoid looking directly at anyone as she answers Reno. "Yeah... I know."

I'd love to talk tech and figure out what we've already got going on." She considers what was said to Jackie for a moment, but ultimately grimaces...

6/1/2022 11:09:41 Reno reaches into his pocket and pulls out his wallet. He digs around and pulls out a card. He checks it and hands it over to Aurelia. "Here ya go. She's got a place downtown." He uhs for a second, "My apologies, didn't mean to make it sound ... like that." It's sincere. "I'll remember that thought." Oh, they're talking about where they're from. Reno'll take the time to chow down some more food. "Never been to the east coast, yet."

6/1/2022 11:15:11 Jackie flashes a similar grimace at the ground, a muscle twitching in her cheek as her jaw tightens. She regains her smile quickly before looking up and shaking her head at Aurelia. "I didn't actually live in the city, we mostly moved around between camps around that region though. I did spend some time there though, and sometimes down in Philly. Lots of late nights, mostly. Did you see the purple Impreza on your way in? That's my racer."

If she's been at it for a while then she's probably got a better security system than I can 'possibly' come up with, but... Heck, maybe she'll let me take a look at the code?" She shrugs, sliding the card into her purse.
6/1/2022 11:20:24 "I did! It's awesome. I've always liked cars but, til they started putting computers in 'em, I never really got 'super' invested. Now though, all the new models have computer code built right into their functionality. It's pretty wild."

Reno points out, "My bike, with carbs, only gets about fourty miles to the gallon, but I've got the fuel injected model, I get about fifty a gallon, without ramping on it too hard. Cars are the same way. Increased fuel mileage, less emissions, better for the planet." He nods, "It's cool car, yes, I just prefer two wheels, myself."

6/1/2022 11:28:08 Jackie nods at Aurelia. "Oh yeah, you can't get anything modern without a zillion computer chips in them. Mine's electric so it's got a lot of that stuff but it's all off the shelf. I don't mess with the guts of that stuff. But you can't be a mechanic at all these days without knowing how to deal with those parts. Same for bikes. Hmmm, I wonder if I can get an electric bike... I need to look into that. I guess it's not that important that's it's electric though... But still, I'm gonna need something smaller than yours, Reno. There's no way I could stand that thing back up if I dumped it. It must weigh a ton."

He finishes his plate and sets it to the side. He takes a sip of coffee. "The first and most important rule of having a bike ... If you can't pick it up after laying it down, it's too big for you. Other than that, it's easy peasy. Just make sure the bars and pegs are adjusted for you." He grins, "I happen to enjoy my wind therapy."

It's a hobby of mine on the side. Couple that with what I know about general tech and I might be able to get you your own NotTesla street bike." The bruneete grins alittle at that, lifting her shoulders.

6/1/2022 11:47:54 There's a little congregation over by one of the campfires. Reno's drinking coffee, with Aurelia and Jackie sitting with him. They are having, what appears to be a pleasant conversation. Reno's also got a plate in his lap, almost empty of food. He looks to Aurelia, "Wind Therapy, yes. Fill up the tank, hit the open road, just riding with nothing but the wind in your face, and the drone of the exhaust. It's soothing. I'll take you sometime if you'd like."

Go to the dealer, sit a few, you'll know what works best fairly quickly. It doesn't matter if you're in a biker bar full of Harleys. If that ducati speaks to you, you're still a biker. Own it."

6/1/2022 11:48:25 A group of people come in, carrying boxes and dufflebags, breaking up and moving out to various parts of the Sept, Journey walks wearing a large frame backpack loaded heavily. He walks to one of the center cookfires.

6/1/2022 11:50:35 Aurelia gives a dismissive wave to Reno. "Maybe some time. I'll think it over for sure... I did kinda' like the thing I guess." Then towards Jackie, "I smoke. Alot. Between college, internships, freelance work and everything? I don't have time for alot of genuine relaxation. At the very least I smoke organically grown tobacco though. But still, point is? I suck at the whoe stress relief thing."

6/1/2022 11:56:01 Jackie chuckles a bit. "Yeah, as dangerous as bikes can be, I think I'd rather take my chances on the road than start smoking. Not telling you what to do, of course. But I could take you for a drive too if you want, or a ride once I have a bike myself. I don't know if it would hit the same spot as a cigarette, but I think it's a lot of fun."

But he turns his attention back to his compatriots, "Bikes aren't dangerous, the riders and other traffic is dangerous. Just like with any other tool or vehicle." He nods to Aurelia, "Well, if you've got something rattling around in your head and can't quite concentrate to get it out, a little ride usually helps. It works for me, but mileage may vary." He doesn't comment on the smoking. "I can't say anything, I enjoy a cigar every now and then."

6/1/2022 12:01:58 Journey nods to Reno and moves to the cookfire, unsnapping the straps on his backpack and slings it off one handed, steadying it with the other hand and setting it down, nodding to the Kinfolk who come to start dismantling the pack as Journey turns to the group, walking over, brushing his hands.

6/1/2022 12:10:38 Rhiannon comes meandering in to the caern proper from the warder station, about the same time as Bryan comes from the other direction. The tall kinfolk has what looks like a polearm strapped to her back, and is carrying a shotgun on a strap. She pauses, glancing around. No skirts today, not in the woods. Instead, it's jeans and a t-shirt, though said shirt is a bit fringed, and she's still got a few crystals hung about her neck.

6/1/2022 12:10:52 Jackie waves goodbye to Aurelia with a smile, then notices the others approaching. She turns her attention to them and converts the goodbye wave into one of greeting. She winces slightly at the sight of Bryan's scars, but keeps quiet to try and not interrupt introductions.

I know you said you wanted to talk." And that's all the invitation anyone gets as he angles hiimself over toward the living area.

However, when Bryan calls to her she nods, and angles her path to intercept his so that she winds up going the same way. Long legs help in catching up, thankfully. "I did, yes," she confirms.

He takes a deep breath, "She is scared shitless, but has resigned herself to being here." He sniffs, "She fears for us and for herself. Once we set up camp, she kind of gave up, medicated and passed out." He frowns at that. He looks to Jackie, "She's not well, but we'll do what we can to help her."

6/1/2022 12:28:01 Jackie nods, running her hands down her legs uncomfortably. "That's good. She really seemed to need it. The help, I mean. I'm not sure what kind of medication you mean. But that is all way outside of my wheelhouse."

6/1/2022 12:28:18 Journey listens, and tilts his head, then frowns slightly, "What do you mean 'medicated', and what do you mean 'not well?'" He asks, looking at Reno.

6/1/2022 12:32:15 Reno nods to Jackie, "I'm riding shotgun on this one." He looks back to Journey, "She took pills. Bryan and I went through her stuff and found, other things. She sleeps fitfully. She feels like she's a prisoner." Yep, there's a list.

Now, what other fucking things were found relating to Six."

He means that, "She had a bottle of pills and the stuff for heroin." He clears his throat, "The drugs and restless sleep are the only things I have to report so far. I was going to take her food so that she's had something to eat before taking her to Chases-The-Wind'rhya as requested."

6/1/2022 13:05:47 Journey breaks the mood completely, looking at Jackie, tone normal to the light one he usually uses, "Oh you're fine, I understand you may feel uncomfortable and I'm sorry about that, unfortunately it has to happen. We should bullshit about bikes later. If you want to go there's no problem, but it's not required." He turns to Reno, "ADDICT, Reno, those are signs of Heroin Addiction. Six is here because she IS a prisoner. She is a prisoner because she cannot be allowed to take the team of Dancers that are following her to the Kinfolk House, to Smoke and Barley, to kill EVERYONE she knows because that's their thing and to protect this SEPT! The last Law of the Litany is inviolate, and she came here, lied to the Warder, kept the danger secret and brought it closer with every unshielded moment. That warrents Death ALONE. She's here because she is shielded from tracking here and can get the help she needs in a desperate attempt to not lose a Kinfolk but that will only go so far. We are trying to save her, but that could fail, largely from her own actions. She wouldn't be the first Kinfolk deemed a threat and removed. Painlessly, but still quite dead."

You're a Cliath Philodox, and have shown me I cannot go to you for honesty I will speak to Bryan." He turns away from Reno and looks to Jackie, transforming once more to the light conversational tone, "Seriously, Chain Driven versus Drive Train. Later, got to do something now." He says, starting for the Living Area.

6/1/2022 13:21:50 Reno watches Journey leave and then goes to gather things he was supposed to get. Only then does he turn towards the Living Area as well.
