5/26/2022 12:44:09 Ah, summer in the Sept. What better time to spend then in the subterranean cave forest of the Sept. There is a man standing in the mystic valley, in the central meadow. He is having a conversation with a group of people, most likely other Kinfolk.

5/26/2022 12:44:09 Apart from his outdoorsy type clothing, he carries a few other interesting items. A backpack sits by his feet, hand made out of some aninal skin. A huge fang hangs around his neck, fashioned into a dagger. There is a very finely carved drinking horn hanging from his belt along with a pouch made out leather.

5/26/2022 12:49:20 Jackie can be seen entering the warder station, stopping to deposit several items from her jacket pockets into a storage locker, then patting her pockets once more to double check she didn't miss anything. Then she makes her way down into the main cavern, her eyes moving over the view with the look of someone still

5/26/2022 12:54:28 There is a bit of a discussion going on between Steinar and the smaller group of people. Not quite aggressive, but a minor disagreement going on. It does seem to be on the end tail of it, though, as there are a few nods ending with the smaller group moving off and dispersing which leaves Steinar alone.

5/26/2022 12:59:41 Jackie makes her way down towards the center of the valley at a leisurely pace, smiling pleasantly as she quietly greets the couple of other kinfolk passing her as their group disperses. She raises a hand in small wave of greeting as she gets near to Steinar. 5/26/2022 13:00:12 The warder passes on patrol carrying a clothing iron at the end of a steel chain.

5/26/2022 13:03:05 Wether or not the discussion with the group was truly a bad one could be hard to judge after the fact, but there is a bit of a stern look upon the face of Steinar. But judging from how it almost looks natural to him, it might just be his standard look. He remains standing where the group left him, having elected to not move away from it. From there, though, he lets his head turn as he scans the area. With the wave sent his way, he dips his head in a greeting in the direction of the newcomer.

5/26/2022 13:08:55 Jackie offers a wide berth to Steinar, not wanting to interrupt what could be a bad mood. After her eyes follow the warder walking by though, she can't help but wonder aloud. "What is with the clothing iron? That's the weirdest... Well, maybe not the *weirdest*, but definitely one of the weirder weapons I've ever seen."

5/26/2022 13:11:38 Steinar continues to watch Jackie as she moves in what might to him seem a bit peculiar manner. When she speaks, however, he gives a light nod, "Iron Flail is Bone Gnawer." he replies to this, as if that was all the explanation needed, "That aside, as a weapon it will crush as well as anything else made out of iron attached to a heavy chain."

5/26/2022 13:20:32 Jackie cocks her head to the side, looking back at it again. Then she shrugs, letting it go as her burst of curiosity is satisfied. "Yeah, you've got a point. Whatever works, works. So, uhhh... What's going on down here today?"

5/26/2022 13:24:07 Steinar crosses his arms over his chest, going quiet a few breaths before he replies, "That would depend, mostly on who you are. I do not believe I have seen you around before. You are .. a new face to me." he silences, "Apart from that, well. This is the Sept. The community of the Caern. What goes on here is what always goes on here. Keeping the place safe."

5/26/2022 13:28:47 Jackie looks up at him, looking a little chagrined over skipping the introduction part. "Oh, right, sorry. I'm Jackie, Jackie Hagen. I just arrived a couple of days ago, so I'm pretty new here. I'm staying with kin over at Stonevalley Creek... So anyway, I'm not an intruder or anything. I mean, if I was, I'd be being really really bad at that right now, wouldn't I?"

5/26/2022 13:35:25 "If you had been an intruder, you would not even have made it within ten miles of the entrance to this cave." Steinar replies to this, "You would have been lured away, or if you had been intending to intrude, killed." Seems to be a pretty matter of fact tone of voice used there, "I am Rune-Tongue, Athro Godi of the Get of Fenris, Shaman of Muninn's Talons, Caller of the Wyld of Enduring Spirit and carrier of the Waters of Mimir." he pauses, "But you may just call me Steinar. It makes it easier, I believe." He seemed that he had to think a moment about what he said, and his introduction possibly sounded a bit short. Compared to others at least.

5/26/2022 13:41:10 Jackie looks down, some of her positivity fading in the shadow cast by Steinar's dourness. "Nice to meet you, uh, Steinar. Yes, that does make it a bit easier, doesn't it? But it's always simpler for me, I don't have any titles or honors like that."

Steinar gives a quick nod to this, "I never demand titles from our Kinfolk." he replies to this, "You are staying at Stonecreek, then? I have not been there for a while. Taking up the mantle of Caller of the Wyld, I felt my place was in the Sept for a time. But Stonecreek is where my Pack lives, and I have been apart from them too long."

5/26/2022 13:56:35 Jackie nods, feeling better now that it seems like she's on less shaky ground. "Oh? I probably met some of them then. Leif put me up in the Skjol for now. It's a bit cozy, but it works out because I only had a single car load of stuff with me so I don't really need much room. So, I take it the duties of being the Caller must keep you really busy then?

5/26/2022 14:01:21 "Leif.." Steinar nods, "The Wall is my Pack Alpha in Muninn's Talons. The others are Blood-Thorn whom you might know as Evonna and Patience Of Eikþyrnir whom you might have met as Ben. There is also Theron, a Kinfolk." he pauses, "And no, the position does not keep my overtly occupied. Strictly speaking, I do not need to keep my presence in the Sept as I do. But I have for now."

5/26/2022 14:07:46 Jackie listens, then shakes her head softly. "I guess I haven't met all of them yet. Leif, of course. And Theron once. But I haven't run into Evonna or Ben yet. Maybe they're on a mission or something? Oh, well, if this is where you want to be, who's gonna stop you, right? And it is a nice spot, for sure..." She trails off, starting to sputter out of steam."

5/26/2022 14:13:09 "Mission? No, they are around. But we do a lot of patrolling. Sometimes together, but sometimes individually. It all depends." Steinar replies, "Nice spot?" he wonders, looking around, "Haven't really thought about it. The Sept used to be a much different place once, many years ago." he returns his eyes to her, "Are you staying with us a longer period then?" he wonders.

5/26/2022 14:18:09 Jackie gets a thoughtful expression as she considers that last question. "Yes, I think so? That's the idea, anyway. And I hope so too, because I do not want to drive cross country like that anytime soon. Or maybe ever again, really. It was not the fun kind of driving, especially in the bit flat empty spots. Which describes most of the distance, really. But anyway, assuming that I can find a way to fit in and contribute, I should be here a while, yes."

5/26/2022 14:21:05 "I've never met a Kinfolk that could not contribute. Most Kinfolk simply live normal lives within the cities and assist in however they can through that." Steinar gives a quick nod to this, "Fitting is may be the harder part, though. Sometimes it is easy, other times it is not." he pauses, "What brings you out west, then?"

5/26/2022 14:29:40 Jackie looks down, glancing off to her left, shrugging slightly. "Just... needed a change of pace, and stuff, mainly. And getting to see a different ocean is neat. I did expect it to be a little warmer and sunnier though, to be honest."

And then you will miss this." he pauses, "Change of pace, mh? Or change of scenery. A different view on life. Many reasons, all amounting to the same thing."

5/26/2022 14:37:40 Jackie nods slowly, turning to look back up at him more directly. "Yeah, a fresh start, and all that. And don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the weather, it's been fine! A little more sun would be good for my solar panel though."

5/26/2022 14:41:37 "Well, you will always have clouds some days." Steinar says, "That is usually difficult to avoid. Simply have to be pragmatic about it. You get sun, when you get sun." he pauses, "But now that you are here, how do you feel you can contribute?"

5/26/2022 14:47:48 Jackie brightens, a bit of her earlier easy smile returns along with this topic. "Ah, you might not have noticed if you were here, but I already fixed the sump pump in the valley. That should prevent the septic system from flooding, which... should make things less gross. For now at least, unless it breaks down again. But yeah, I've got a toolbox and I know how to use it, so that's something, at least. I also possess the mighty power of a driver's license, which may come in handy from time to time. I'm not as familiar with everyone around here, of course, but a lot of my family back home were not very comfortable behind the wheel. Or good at it, for that matter."

Steinar replies after some thought, "Always a useful trait out here in the woods, where spare parts is not always something you can easily get your hands on. It is a bit of a distance, if you were to try to get them out here." he gives a nod to this, "I tend to avoid cars, myself. But mostly since I have alternative modes of travel."

5/26/2022 14:58:04 Jackie nods, tiling her head a few degrees as she parses that. "That's also something, some folk have those... alternate methods, which makes cars a bit less needed. I like them though. Wait, another mechanic? Like, as in there's another one around? I heard that someone else used to do some maintenance out here, but they were gone or something?"

5/26/2022 15:00:08 "And that is what I mean. From time to time, we have someone coming here that has good mechanical skills. Most of them have left, though, for various reasons. You are thus not the first. Or even the second. Or third." he pauses, ".. but then, I've been in this area for a long time."

5/26/2022 15:04:53 "Oh, well. It feels a lot longer.." Steinar begins, after some thought, "But, I did arrive here the first time almost ten years ago. I did leave for a few years, though. The Sept at the time did not quite meet up to my standards of a Sept of the Garou. But that was then."

5/26/2022 15:11:50 "The Caern has not changed. The Sept, however, has changed a lot. The Sept is comprised of Garou and Kinfolk and as such, they are more easily changed. The Sept, when I first arrived, was bad. But it changed, over time." he gives a light nod, "With the Sept being what it was at the time and my mate at the time no longer being by my side, it caused me to decide to leave." he pauses, "So, as you see, change in that aspect is common."

5/26/2022 15:15:46 Jackie gets a bit subdued at that. "Yeah, people can come and go a lot more often than places. But you say things are better now that before? That's good. And you've found a pack, which also sounds like it must be nice."

5/26/2022 15:22:26 "Well, we formed a Pack." Steinar corrects, "It was not so much finding, as joining in the founding." he ms, "Well, now that I know that you are living at Stonecreek and I will be returning there again, I assume we will meet eachother a lot more."

5/26/2022 15:25:41 Jackie starts returning to her normal levels of friendliness, nodding with a grin. "Yeah, probably, right? I don't exactly have a routine or other places to be yet, so I'm actually around there a lot most of the time."

5/26/2022 15:27:16 "You should find a routine. They are good to have." Steinar comments on that, giving a light nod to emphasise his point, "For me, it tends to be patrolling in the Spirit world a lot. It means you will not see me, but I will be near."

5/26/2022 15:30:58 Jackie nods along with him. "I'll keep that in mind. I should try to find enough things to keep myself busy, at least, right? Anyway, good luck with your own routine, I'm gonna get headed out. See you around Stonecreek sometime, then?"

5/26/2022 15:34:22 Steinar gives a quick nod to this, "Oh, you will for sure." he replies to her, "As I said, I will start spending more time there, to be closer to my Pack."

5/26/2022 15:42:16 Jackie waves goodbye as she heads back out. "Ok, see you there!"
