Not long after getting the call to join the pack and investigate the flying weaverbot and SUV, Brooke brings home all the tech she removed from the SUV and the drone itself to her office to investigate and put it together to see what the heck is truly going on here. She placed a call to Furio to come over and help with his special brand of abilities to analyze this as well.

When Furio arrives, and Ada as well, Brooke shows them inside and starts explaining things as she knows them. "The SUV I took this from was certainly government issue, setup for transport, as well as surveillance and sending encrypted information out somewhere. Certainly, it was for operating this drone and relaying all the information it was able to gather. We need to figure out if we can what it has seen, see if we can find out what if anything else they know, and where they sent it. Anything else you can think of as well, we should do. Oh, and Shaderunner'rhya wants a molecular analysis done as well. I am glad you could make it over and assist with this."

Ada splits off from Brooke long enough to go home, grab some things, and change out of her robe. When she reappears, she's wearing a black turtleneck and black jeans. If you're going to do illicit tech things, you may as well look the part. She lurks around, listening, paying attention, nodding. "Things have been heating up lately," she murmurs. "I'm going to need to step my game up. I think that, soon, very soon... I'll be going for Fostern." She nods over at Furio, offering a small smile. "Thanks for coming over. I'm out of my element, and I'm sure Brooke will appreciate having some capable hands to help out."

Fury arrives ready for business. Still decked out in his sharp Armani business suit, he hasn't even bothered with his usual tie-loosening. He carries a briefcase with him as well, looking every bit the picture of the powerful one percenter that he is. "I'm glad I can help, Brooke. Ada," he rumbles as he's seen inside. "Tech like this I can handle pretty easy. Let's just hope it's the Fed, an' not somethin' stupid like a Pentex First Team or the Technocratic Union playin' cute, ah?" He stakes himself out a spot where he can set down his briefcase, pressing his thumb to the biometric lock to flip it open. "Lemme see the device," he says as he digs into his pocket for a smooth silver bead, about an inch across. He pinches it between thumb and forefinger, causing it to click and separate into two halves. Drawing them apart, he reveals a thread-thin cable that binds them together. This gets wound around the rear of his head, the two half-spheres pressed to his temples. That done, he taps his earbud. "Eva, begin simulation," he instructs. Tiny blue LEDs begin to wink atop those silver half-beads, as though his head had just become a wireless router. Two glowing blue dots light up under the nails of his index fingers as well.

Brooke shows Furio to the drone and the tech she salvaged. "Please, take a look and see what you can discover. Time is on the essence."

Ada pretends that she knows what any of this does. Some of this is stuff she's passingly aware of- from movies, and the like, but most of the names go straight over her head. She peers on, lips pursed, trying not to look too lost.

Fury nods his head as he looks over the device placed before him. "Hokay, whadda we got here?" he mutters. "Let's start with the materials scan an' then work our way out from there." He digs for his smartphone, slipping its stylus from the groove along its side. But unlike most styli, this one is a length of iridescent crystal. He begins sketching a pattern around the device with it, while reaching out with his other hand to make a series of sliding motions, as though paging through photos in an album. "Eva, let's get a baseline structural analysis on this thing. Gimme composition, electrochemical workup, the whole shubang," he instructs. He taps the air and makes an expanding motion with his fingers, reaching out and motioning it towards the drone.

Fury frowns after a long moment of scrutiny. "Standard organic polymers," he mutters. "Silicon. Tin. Aluminum. Everything where I'd expect it to be." He looks back up at Brooke and Ada. "I'm not -seein'- anything outta the ordinary here. You could get a drone like this at any electronics shop in the country."

Brooke smiles to Ada, "If I can be of any help on your advancement or learning, Ada, just ask. I'm happy to teach you anything I can." She watches Furio intently to see what he is doing and what she can learn from him - ever the student this one. After a few minutes she looks to Furio expectantly, hoping to hear something of what he has found. "Interesting. I would have expected something more."

"That's good, isn't it? It would be bad if it was unusual." Ada posits, glancing between the two of them. She focuses in on Brooke and nods. "I'd like that. I don't really know much aside what ordinary people know, even though I run all my business off the internet... but we're getting off track. So we know it isn't "weird". What else are we looking to figure out here?"

Fury rubs his beard as he studies the space before his eyes. "Well... there's nothin' weird about its construction," he says. "That don't mean there ain't somethin' -else- goin' on." He sets his stylus aside and digs into his pocket. His keys jingle for a moment as he fishes, coming up with a gold Sacajawea dollar coin. He flips it up in his hand and catches it. "Lemme see if I can find anything -meta-physical goin' on," he says. He fixes his gaze upon the drone, his fingers rolling and turning that coin between them as he gets a furrowed-brow -thinking- expression.

Brooke studies this thing closer, taking note of what Furio said. "It does appear like an out of the box model, but if you look here..." she points to the camera, "you will see there is a very expensive HD camera on there. You don't just pick that up anywhere, and certainly that is a modification. Over here, the regulators for flight have also been modified making it more stable. It is meant to trick the untrained eye." She looks to Fury with his ideas to what to try next.

The flash of genuine precious metal gets Ada's attention in the way that it would get many shifter's attention. It may not be the right kind to harm *her*, but...

"So our end goal is to figure out who was flying this, and what they were aiming to find," Ada murmurs. "They're aware of Garou, and have the weapons to kill them, or, at least, defend themselves from us. And everything indicates they're part of a group. Did any of the men from the team ping as Wyrmish?"

Fury considers the drone for a long space. Then, shakes his head once again. "No metaphysical activity neither," he says. He sets his coin aside, looking up as Brooke points out the modifications. He leans in close, peering at the device himself. "Hunh. Good eye there, Brooke," he says. "Caught it right off jump." He considers the drone for a moment. "Okay... enough with the Code for now. Let's see what good ol' fashioned knowhow can tell us." He digs into his briefcase for a sleek laptop that looks about as thick as the covers of a hardback book pressed together. One half being a completely transparent panel that he flips up, while the other is a featureless metallic sheen that nevertheless lights up with a grid pattern, indicating a keyboard. "Let's see if I can crack this thing's memory an' see what's goin' on in here," he says as he digs for a USB cable.

Brooke gestures on the desk to the area next to the tech. "I've got a lot of tools and equipment, cords, etc, if you need as well." She offers up a USB cable and a box of adapters in case it has an unusual port.

Ada recedes into the background, her arms crossed. She's here to watch and learn when the tech comes out- maybe she'll be able to pick something up by the end of the night.

Fury looks over at Brooke and nods. "Thanks, Brooke," he says. "I'll let ya know if I need anything." He pats his laptop with a chuckle. "This here's a custom job. No Virtual Adept worth their handle'd be caught dead usin' stock." He winks as he produces a flat box about the size of a pack of playing cards from his briefcase. One end of the USB cable gets plugged into it, then run to the port on the drone, while the other gets a fiber optic cable that runs into one of the crystal-lined ports on the lappy's metal half. He glances at Ada as he begins to make a few command gestures. "These guys know how to fight Garou? Was they packin' silver?" he asks with a frown of consternation.

What becomes very obvious when plugged into the device, is that it suffered damage - trauma of some kind and the hardware appears to have been damaged. Either way, looks like it's going to require some time repairing before it's going to boot up. Looks like this thing fell out of the sky, or was in a car accident or something.

Brooke grinds her teeth together at the mere idea that she uses stock computers. Obviously this guy has /no clue/ who he is dealing with. "Yes. That is my understanding. Ada and I were called in along with our Alpha, Dragomir, after the fight and they were dead. One had silver on them, as I recall. Our pack mates were leading a Bawn Patrol. Sure seems like whomever this is performing surveillance on the area looking for Garou."

Fury tenses a bit, blinking. He's lived his life in the Nation, and his kid brother's an Ahroun. He's learned to recognize the subtle signs of Rage. He holds up his hands in a conciliatory gesture. "Hey now, Brooke, take it easy," he says in a level, gentle tone. "I didn't say -you- used stock. Come on, ah? I know better'n -that-. I was just sayin'... what you got might not necessarily work with what -I- got, ya follow? I meant no disrespect. Please, 'm sorry, I didn't mean nothin' by it."

Ada's distracted, for a moment, looking at the two of them and the device and through them. Theurges. She blinks a second or two later, tilting her head to the side. "Did I miss something?" She asks, her voice gentle. "Oh, uhm. Yes. They had silver. They seem to have been scouting the area, or looking for something."

Brooke takes in a breath and lets it out. "I hear you. Just do not underestimate me, old man, and we will get along just fine." Another breath in, and out, as she looks further at this thing and the tech calms her down. "Looks like we need to do some repairs to get it up and running at least to get more information here."

Fury grunts as he turns his attention back to his setup. "I never underestimate any Garou, Brooke," he says. Rankling a bit at being called 'old man', even if it's technically true. He's garnered something of a reputation as the 'dad' figure of the sept. He peers closely, then frowns. "Shit. You's right. The USB bus ain't bootin'. I can't get the flash memory to read." He looks back up at Brooke. "Okay, Brooke, looks like we's gonna have to operate. You said ya had tools? I'm afraid what I got with me's a bit too specialized for workin' with mundane tech."

Ada gets that hazy look again, gesturing for one second. Then she says, "The spirit is willing to lend a hand. In turn, I've told it we'll do our best to leave the drone in one piece when we're done. I'm sure we can find a use for it, or... something. Or just let it keep chilling out somewhere safe and sound."

And sure enough, as Brooke starts working on it.. her tools always seem to be right where she needs them to be. She never seems to have trouble lining up pieces and components. Even little things like prons and dioeds seem to bend back to their right position as she's working. It's as if the drone is.. helping to repair itself? Spooky.

Brooke pulls out her gear and gets to work. As she does, what should have taken longer, goes faster. Seriously, twice as fast as it should have. "Ok, I know I am good, but what is going on here. Is this thing...alive in some way? Is there a spirit in here or what?" She looks to the others to see what they think.

Fury settles himself back, letting Brooke set to work. The big man obviously impressed as his Garou cousin in the tribe begins working her skill upon the device. "Hunh," he says, rubbing his beard. "-Damn-, Brooke. You -are- good." He blinks, tilting his head to one side. "But what... I didn't..." He looks from the drone to Ada. Realization dawns on his gray-bearded face. "Ohh, I get it. It likes you." He chuckles deeply. "Good lookin' out, Ada. I never woulda thought to contact its spirit. 'sides, you's guys do that kinda thing -way- more easy than I can with my Code."

"All machines sing One Song," Ada says, bowing her head forward, her hair swaying with the motion of her head. She blushes a little, then rakes her hair back into place with her fingernails and coughs. "Yes," she says, nodding at Fury. "Something like that. A little deal. I cannot really, ah, do a lot with the body, but with the spirit, I can nudge."

The drone is functional now, in fact.. it seems to switch itself on and all of its capabilities start turning on and off, propellers whirl and the camera swivels. Even the transmitter flips back on...

Brooke smiles to Ada, "See, we make a good team. I'm still rooted more in the physical aspects of it. We can teach each other a great deal." She looks back at the machine. "Ok, let's see what we can get off of this." Watching it come on she says, "I do not know yet if this can send a signal anywhere else. We need to check for that as well, and if need be, jam it or turn it off."

Fury nods his head. "I ain't got access to Forces Code, so any jammin' we do'll have to be done the ol' fashioned way," he says. He frowns as the drone's lights run through its startup sequence. And when the XMIT light blinks on, he tenses. "Aw -shit-." He fumbles in his pockets for his EpiPen. Reaching out with one hand to carefully clamp onto the drone, just in case it decides to go flying off, he reaches forward to squeeze a dollop of silvery goo over the camera's lens. "Oh no ya don't," he growls. He looks up at Ada. "Can you ask the spirit to stop any transmissions from goin' out?" he asks. "Maybe shut down the motor too? We don't need this thing flyin' off on us."

"A shame it doesn't have a little more autonomy. I would set it free," Ada says, eying the little machine on the table. But drones aren't like pigeons, and it isn't as though it could charge itself. Still, she smiles a little and settles her hands into the pockets of her jeans. "I wouldn't know that, either, and jamming, anything like that- that's fine. Just... try not to-" well. 'Hurt it' would sound dumb. "Just try to keep it on one piece. "I can try, although..." she lapses into silence again, peering at the little gadget.

As Ada works with the spirit, she's able to calm it down. Furio goops the camera, and the device powers down and settles with a low hum of its internal motor. Whatever it was transmitting seems to turn off, and this.. device, seems to calm down?

Brooke seems to look past the drone and concentrating on it she begins to see something...else. "I see it..the stream of information. It is encrypted but it is transmitting...it has facial rec and it already got profiles on us. Damn, sending it to a cloud site and it's sending GPS coordinates to a satellite. I cannot see how much it has been able to transmit so far though. It is able to transmit on multiple frequencies. It is broadcasting what it is seeing - or now not seeing. We need to shut this down." She sees it start to shut down then, as Ada works the spirit side.

Fury frowns. "Son of a bitch. That's what I was afraid of. I'll see if I can get that data while you two work on the drone." He settles himself back in his seat. "Eva, load me up," he growls. "I'm goin' in."

"The smaller the spirit, the simpler the mind. It was just doing what it was built to do, no ill will," Ada says, although... she does sound a little worried. She reaches out and draws a finger down the spine of the thing's plastic body, dragging a single fingernail. She waits in silence, trying not to look as pensive as she feels.

The signal relays to a cloud site, and you hit the first firewall. There's an encryption protocol necessary to bypass the firewall. It becomes very difficult to tell where it goes from here. You at least know where the first 'hop' is, but it's going to take some serious hacking to start trace-routing the actual information and bypassing the security measures.

Fury's eyes begin to grow unfocused as he slips deep into virtual simulation. The digital environment of his personal network taking over his mundane senses. He looks towards the drone, his eyes blank and staring, yet still attentive and alert. "Okay, my little friend... let's see who you's been talkin' to," he growls. He fumbles into his shirt pocket for an e-cig. Lifting it to his mouth, he thumbs the switch and inhales a deep hit of the vapor. He holds it for a moment or two, eyes drifting closed as he sets his Will in motion. Thoughts are clarified as logic and cognition are increased to levels far surpassing the height of human intelligence. The vapor he exhales has a spicy, cinnamon scent to it. He sets the e-cig aside and cracks his knuckles. Settling back in his seat, he starts moving his hands in their dance of gesture and command, as though conducting an invisible orchestra. His lips moving as he mutters into his beard, incanting the language of digital wizardry.

Ada strokes the drone with an absentminded look to her eyes, aware of the here and now, but remaining calm, transfixed, almost. Her fingers roll up and down the length of the thing's plastic body like an owner's hand coursing down the back of a favored cat.

Brooke watches Furio for a few moments, before she concentrates on the drone further. She wants to see if it starts back up again, or anything further changes or needs repaired. After a few minutes, she realizes that Ada has it controlled and she moves over to the other side of the desk and contemplates what to do with the rest of the tech she brought back from the SUV.

Fury's shaggy gray brows knot together as his fingers tap and dance. "Jesus Christ, this thing's a tough nut to crack," he growls. "Someone's goin' to a lotta effort to keep this thing sealed up."

Brooke jumps in to assist Furio. It takes awhile with them both going after this cloud site, as it tries to keep them out time and again. Finally, she is able to shut down the firewall and get them in. "Damn...this is not good. They do not want anyone in here, and they have it mirror to two locations. This really is going to take all of us working together to get to the bottom of this."

"Good luck," Ada says, her nails making a quiet scratching sound on hard plastic. "Maybe Drago is onto something with that whole avoiding technology thing." She wets her lips, head tilting to the side.

Fury shakes his head. "Technology's a tool, Ada," he says firmly. "That's all. It ain't bad in an' of itself." He glances towards Brooke--almost looking -through- her, it seems, with that vacant and unfocused expression. He reaches up with both hands, pressing his palms together and sweeping them apart. He makes a sweeping gesture towards Brooke and her rig. "Here. You take that site. I'll handle this one. With a simultaneous hit, we should be able to catch 'em off guard," he says.

Brooke nods. "I think that is good. We need to get as much information as we can from it and see who is behind it - or at least get a lead to scout out later."

Ada takes a seat and sits in silence with her hands on the drone, not wanting to make the stressful situation any worse by being a bother. She just closes her eyes, waits, and maybe prays- who can tell with Theurges.

Reversal of fortune it would seem.. Brooke trips the security this time, and the site starts locking down where she's at. Furio is able to dismantle his site with ease and find where the images are being stored... where sooooo many images are being stored. Thousands of petabytes worth of information is being stored in a data warehouse.

Brooke hacks away and despite her mad skills, she manages to trip the security this time. "No...no...no...." She furiously types away as it starts to shut down. She is mad at herself, but is a bit relieved to see that Furio appears to have found a treasure trove of information.

Fury's eyes get wide as he looks up and around. "Madon," he whispers. "How long these fuckers been watchin' us?" He reaches up with both hands, curling his fingers. "Grab everything, Eva. Put it in holographic storage. Then -erase- it all." He looks over to Brooke, seeing that she's struggling. "Shit. Here, Brooke, lemme see if I can help ya."

Brooke holds her mouth shut this time, although she has turned a lovely shade of red. She is not one to admit defeat when it comes to computers or hacking. She glares at Furio, although is starting to get the thought that he does mean to help. In the heat of the moment here with what is on the line it is no time to snark back at him.

As Eva starts grabbing up the storage, something.. happens. The system comes to life?.. Hard to explain, but definitely not normal. Four silhouettes like horsemen manifest in the digital space for Furio registering as Security measures and start getting ready to attack. Eva is interrupted.

Ada's eyes focus enough for her to turn her attention onto Brooke, eying her pack mate's body posture with interest. She wonders for a second about saying something, then squints at the screen, eying the computer weirdness. It's hard for her to tell if it's Furio's doing, or...

Furio's gaze gets torn from Brooke as Eva's processes are interrupted. "The fuck...?" His eyes get wide, and then narrow angrily. "Oh -hell- no," he snarls. He reaches out and snatches up his gold dollar coin, curling it into a fist. He jabs an accusatory finger forward. "I dunno who the -fuck- you people are. But I'm gonna give you -one- warning. Let me go 'bout my business, capice? Or so help me God, I will unleash a motherfuckin' -shitstorm- on you."

Furio issues his challenge. He makes a couple of imperious gestures, thrusting his hands out to the sides. In response to his Will, a sphere of neon-blue hexagons swirls out, locking into place before vanishing to the naked eye. But then, a moment later, his body arches up off the seat. "GNNH!" he grunts. The sphere's pattern flares into visibility briefly at various points as his digital self suffers the brunt of the attacks. A bead of blood rolls from his nose, matting the whiskers of his mustache. "Ghhh... -fuck-!" he gasps, sucking a hissing breath through his teeth. "Okay... you's guys wanna play? I'll fuckin' -play-!"

Ada's eyes focus a little more on the here and now, and more directly, on Furio. She exchanges a look with Brooke, then raises a hand and hovers it over Furio's shoulder, eying the mage, but not doing anything else to draw attention to herself.

Ada's hand falls on Furio's shoulder, not squeezing, holding, just stroking her fingers down his shoulder blade so lightly it's as if she's barely touched him at all- and then her hand falls to her side, still.

Fury reaches out with his right hand, pointing and drawing a circle. He grabs that bit of air and pulls it before him, making a frame with the Ls of his thumbs and forefingers and pulling them apart. "Eva, I need a quantum hyper thread. Target these icons an' gimme the numbers to find their destination," he grunts. He suddenly bucks again, throwing his head back and letting loose a bellowing roar. "YEARRRGH!" He coughs, blood misting his beard as his features twist in agony. Gasping for breath, he reaches out with a trembling hand, thrusting his fingertip against an invisible button. "-There- you are, ya -fuck-!" he snarls through gritted teeth. "Nnnh! Brooke... Ada... he's... -Jesus-, he's in a... milspec-grade chopper... five-point-six kilometers... velocity... one-twenty-nine kph... he's... urrgh..." He reaches out and points. "-There-! He's -there-, he'll be here any second! Arrgh, fuck -me- this hurts! Get ready for battle, you two, we gotta -waste- this shitbag!"

Ada seems... disappointed, in something. It isn't clear what. But that disappointment goes away with the appearance of blood. She abruptly clears herself of her jacket, stripping out of the sleeves in short, quick movements. The Theurge wraps up the drone in her padded garment, ties the sleeves around it, and scrambles to tuck it underneath somethin sturdy. "What are we supposed to do about that?" She asks, grimacing. "Assuming they don't just blow up the house."

Fury grits his teeth as he takes up his crystal stylus. "I'll handle the chopper. -You's- guys need to be ready to deal with the pilot. He's a wizard like me... so a coupla Crinos Garou should put a real cramp in his style!" He turns his gaze towards where that chopper is approaching. "Eva, I need a quantum interference barrier," he grits out through his teeth, lifting his stylus and sketching a complex pattern. "Exclude all forms o' known military-grade heavy munitions. Anchor point seven-seven-four-six-nine-dot-four-four-three-six-zero!" He thrusts that stylus forward. "Run process!" Again, he sets his Will in motion, and space responds to a Master's desire. It's invisible to the naked eye--but the space directly in front of the chopper (and more importantly, its weapons) becomes utterly impassable to the steel casings of its missiles. "There... let's see you blow us up -now-, you pig-fuckin' shit!" he snarls.

"This is going to be a mess," Ada says, just before she rolls up into Crinos, hunching over as to not put a hole in the ceiling. Her small size makes it a little easier to get through the doors ( or windows ) than most Garou, but not by much.

Brooke knows when despite being strong, sometimes the best strategy is to not fight and to get away before a no-win situation ends up getting them all killed. "Let's grab the drone, and anything else right here and get out of here - NOW. We take it to our turf where we have the advantage. This just got a /whole lot/ bigger than the three of us. Ada, we need an exit NOW. We debrief on the other side."

Fury makes a last couple of gestures, then reaches up and pulls the beads from his temples. He winds up the cord and pockets it, then gathers up his gear, stuffing it unceremoniously into his briefcase before snapping it shut. "We gotta move!" he says. "Ada, can you get us outta here fast?"

~It is your house,~ Cloud-Control says, shrinking back down into Glabro. She drops the bars on the ground and moves over to fetch the bundle o'drone, passing it ( carefully ) to whoever volunteers to carry it. She does have a promise to keep, after all. "If we've time, think about what we're leaving behind. You might not be back for a while," she murmurs apologetically to Brooke. Turning to Fury, she waves a hand. "My pack and I can use the moon bridge, but- ah, I don't think we can carry friends. Or items that we haven't dedicated."

Brooke asks, "We cannot leave him behind, or the tech. Is there another option that is fast enough?"

Fury scowls darkly. "I can get us out," he says, looking furtively towards the window. "Where do we wanna go? It's gotta be some place I know -well-, or have a connection to. An'... fuck me, I'ma take a Rebound for this. But we're outta choices."

"Anywhere is better than staying here," Ada says. "Make a clean break somewhere safe and boogie somewhere else from there."

Brooke nods her head, grabbing a few more things, "Do it. NOW." No time for a lot of words.

Fury produces his phone and makes a quick series of gestures. "Eva, emergency translocation. Need a door home." He looks up, his brows furrowing. There's a tense couple of breaths, before a mote of neon blue light appears. It expands into a blue-lined door, with his lavish penthouse apartment on the other side. "Door's open! Go!" Fury barks. He waits for Ada and Brooke to step through before throwing himself through. "Cloak the signature, Eva, full spectrum!" he grunts. The tell-tale sign of Paradox already starting to make him wince in pain.

Brooke rushes through, arms full of tech, drone, etc. Once through she checks the others. "Are you both alright?"

Ada follows the lot through without hesitation, still wearing her Glabro skin. If they're going somewhere safe to teleport into, it's probably Veil safe, too. She doesn't dive or anything, but she sure does hustle. When she's sure she isn't about to be strafed, she melts down into Homid and looks around, grimacing.

The only threat present in the penthouse seems to be a big, shaggy German Shepherd, dozing comfortably on the couch. When the three step through the door, the dog leaps to his feet and starts barking angrily. "Caesar! Upstairs!" Fury snaps his fingers and points. Whining softly, the dog looks furtively at the two Garou and goes to obey his master, tail tucked between his legs. Fury makes a banishing wave, the door sealing shut behind him. He collapses onto his armchair, pressing a fist to his chest. "I'll be okay... just gotta... dump this Paradox charge," he says through gritted teeth. Sure enough, he seems to be healing quickly, easily on par with a Garou's regeneration.

Brooke blinks. "That is not something I understand, so I will take your word on it." She sets her things down. "When you can, we need a full debrief on what else you saw and learned. Our Alpha will want a full report as well."

"I'll make sure the drone doesn't start doing anything it shouldn't," Ada murmurs, moving to stand near Brooke. She peers at Fury, who seems to be 'fine' ( Garou have a loose definition of the word ), then checks on the drone. "Being chased by helicopters is... different. I wonder the extent of what they know. Hm. What have you left behind at your house, Brooke?"

Fury just takes a moment, drawing deep, cleansing breaths. After a moment, he gets to his feet. He shrugs out of his suit jacket, slinging it over the back of his chair, and reaches up to tug his tie loose. He lumbers over to the wet bar to pour himself a stiff drink. "Either o' you two want anything?" he asks as he slugs back a long swallow of bourbon. He draws another breath. "Christ A'mighty... there was -petabytes- of data in that fuckin' server. They been watchin' us for months. -Years- even. An' we never knew it." He looks back up at Brooke and Ada. "We gotta let the entire sept know. This is major. This could be one o' the biggest threats we've faced yet. An' I've seen a coupla doozies."

Brooke nods, as she takes a seat. "Yes, we must alert the elders right away. It should come from them to everyone." She looks to Ada, "The only stuff left behind is mundane. Nothing to worry about. It will either be there or can be replaced. I'll let Michael know. I have another place that we can stay while figure out when or if it is safe to go home again."

"I wonder how fast they'll figure out who the house belongs to- hm. You might want to get rid of your phone," Ada says to Brooke. "And if they figure out who you are, it can't be hard for them to trace your phone records... ah. Hm. I guess that depends on just how deep their roots are..." Taking a breath, she waves off Fury's offer. "I need to be sober, for now. I plan on being unconscious on my couch a few hours from now, but thank you."

Fury sits himself down heavily, running a hand through his hair. "I'm gettin' too old for this shit," he mutters. He looks back up. "The fact that they got a wizard workin' for 'em... that really makes me nervous. I don't know much 'bout his capabilities. For all we know, he could be a Master just like me. An' if he's got access to military grade equipment... Christ. We's dealin' with somethin' big an' ugly here."

Brooke replies, "My phone already is untraceable. Part of having a government security clearance already. I'll make sure my handler knows something is up and keep an eye on his end. Furio, what else can you tell us? What more did you learn?"

"Geeze," Ada says, "Everyone's so... exotic." She wrinkles her nose, glancing at Furio, and shrugs. "I don't know anything about this sort of stuff, but uhm, thanks. For helping. And we're kind of sorry for uh, accidentally dragging you into a big mess. But at least we didn't do it at your house, I guess."

Fury digs into his breast pocket for one of his stout cigars, shaking his head. "Not much. Other'n this guy was able to put some -serious- hurt on me. If I hadn't been wearin' my bodyglove, he probably woulda killed me." He sets his cigar in his mouth and lights it, puffing steadily as he scowls darkly. "He's got some sorta cloaking too. I wasn't able to capture a very clear pic of 'im. But... I've made contact with 'im once before. I -should- be able to find 'im again. Just might take a little work is all."

Brooke asks, "Before? When was this? Under what circumstances?"

Fury looks back to Brooke. "Just now. When I was tryin' to fight 'im off," he says.

Ada takes out her phone and checks something, murmuring something under her breath. "S'cuse me," she says, walking off to a corner of the room, pecking at her screen with her thumb.

Brooke ooohs. "Ah..I misunderstood. You need more backup when you try again. Is there another with you skill set that you can call upon?"

Fury shakes his head. "I don't wanna involve any more wizards than I gotta," he says. "This is a threat to our Nation. There's only a few wizards I know of who're Kin."

Brooke nods. "Ok. Obviously we need safety. I will contact the Elders and let them know ASAP. They must be informed. This is above my pay grade. Be ready though to upload this to another wizard that you trust and they trust if it is deemed necessary."

Fury nods his head. "Yeah. Kevin might be able to help," he says. He rubs his chest. "Gonna see 'bout dumpin' this charge soon. Can't safely use my powers when I'm holdin' it like this."

Brooke asks, "Kevin? Who is Kevin? Another wizard?"

Fury nods his head. "Yeah. Halle's mate. He's Glass Walker Kin, like me. Also a technomancer. Our practices line up pretty well. He does some really good work."

Brooke hmms. "I would like to meet this Kevin sometime. Please let him know I would like to speak to him."

Fury nods his head. "Will do," he says around a gust of cigar smoke. He slugs back the last of his bourbon and rises to get a refill. "You two's welcome to stay here long as ya like."

Brooke bows her head in thanks. "Much appreciated. But I have work to do. I need to prepare my report and get in touch with my Alpha. We need to take this information to the elders ASAP. Not to mention, I need to get a hold of my husband and let him know what happened at our home."
