♦ Team Lioness: She was one of the select women chosen to go to the front lines with spec ops teams to work with the women of Iraq rather than violate cultural sensitivity and leave it to her male counterparts.

♦ The Amputation: She lost her right leg from the knee when her bradley hit an IED in the field.

♦ The Hacks: Her original MOS was technical, so she latched onto that as a focus during her recovery.
