A riot of music, memorabilia, books, magazines, and instruments greet the gaze of customers. Through the speakers, you can hear a selection from the owner's own music collection. You can expect anything from grunge to blues, from hard rock to death metal, from 90s alternative to 70s punk, from new wave to post-punk. A U-shaped checkout area stands by the door, and the worn but well-kept wooden floor spreads invitingly.

The left side of the shop's broad space is set aside for music: vintage vinyl and bootleg discs and tapes alike, sorted by artist name only with no genre distinction. The brick wall behind the music section is whitewashed and covered in a selection of posters and concert waybills from all rock eras and styles, most framed, each with a discreet pricetag Post-Ited onto a corner.

On the shop's right side, part of the wall is covered in a pair of hanging racks for tees, tour jackets, and other garb. Most of it is vintage concert tees from all manner of bands and festivals. The racks are accompanied by a series of book-and-magazine shelves that hold reading material, along with displays that hold everything from Funko Pop rock star toys to band shotglasses, with promotional items of all descriptions offered for sale. Bet you didn't know how many bands offered panties with a logo printed on them, but now you do!

At the back of the right side is a pair of plexiglassed diner-style listening booths flanking a glassed-in repair bench. Each booth seats two and boasts headphones and a sound setup so you can listen before purchasing. A sign above the workbench shows a price list for repairs of all kinds for musical instruments, along with the legend "Don't see what you need? Ask!" An oblong table in front of the glass holds a Bunn 3-burner coffee maker and a covered tray of baked goodies, with a label reading 'Customers only, please.'

On the walls, posters of a chimerical nature have been added to the mix. There are trinkets found around the shop, and many of them glow with historical Glamour from being well-loved and prized. Tiny chimera play instruments or sing along with whatever music is playing at the moment, shifting in appearance to match the musical selections. Other chimera burst like pyrotechnics or flicker in lines like neon throughout the place.

Janneke has just put in the last bits of work on an ugly scratch on the veneer of an acoustic guitar that she has repaired, made whole, and buffed to a soft sheen. She is in the glassed-in repair area, but walks out after placing the guitar on a stand beside the bench. "They'll be back for that tomorrow," she says, and pours herself a cup of coffee from the fresh pot one of her staffers just made.

Caressa wanders in, pauses to the side of the doorway to let her eyes wander over the place. She smiles, looks toward the counter and makes her way over, "Hey, Jj!" She lifts a hand to give a wave.

Janneke looks over, and smiles warmly. "Caressa! Welcome, come on in! Oh, do you want some decaf, or tea? I can put it on." The shop is moderately busy with browsing people, but JJ herself is not working on a repair at the moment. "Good to see you!"

Caressa smiles, "Oh! Tea, please! Doesn't have to be decaf either. Thought I'd come by and look around. How'ed the party go?"

Janneke smiles and sets up the electric kettle on the coffee stand, setting up a teacup to be ready for brewing once the water boils. "Oh, it went *perfectly*, I wish you could've been there. We had singers all night, including Sebastian, and Kieran, and... have you met Deirdre?" She pauses, and then just keeps the tone down so others don't overhear anything they shouldn't. "I was very happy, and the place is doing good business since."

Caressa nods, "I wish I could have been too. Several people asked me but...baby." she thinks for a moment, "I don't like I have? Is she the one that's a little...umm...high on herself?"

Janneke shakes her head. "No, that's Dasia, if you mean the blonde." She chuckles softly. "Deirdre's the ship captain, redhead. A lot of D names, it can get confusing." She pauses and asks, "I know someone who brings her baby in, I was wondering if that was safe."

Caressa mms, "Once the child is born, perhaps it is. Tiny mind accept pretty much anything. I just don't want to take the chance. Better safe than regretting later." She takes her chin, "Captain, captain.. did she go on the..journey with ya'll? I should know this but my brain is mush lately."

Janneke mmm and notes, "Children accept more easily, true. But I think the baby may be... destined to be special." JJ shakes her head at the question. "No, she wasn't involved in the mission -- Dasia was."

Caressa nods, "Then, definitely haven't met her." she smiles softly, "If you are talking about the one I'm thinking of, I suspect the same. But I'd never take any of kids there. Just to be safe, you know. If things change, then yes, I would."

Janneke nods agreement. "Being accepting isn't always a good thing for a small one whose mind hasn't learned to handle things like fear," she murmurs, pouring the water into the teacup and setting it to steep. "But... yes, I think he's one of us, or will be. I just wonder how they know. Even our Seers usually can't tell."

Caressa wrinkles her nose and shrugs. "I don't think one ever really knows till it happens. There are theories and old wives tales I'm sure." She turns slightly to browse something nearby while she waits for the tea. "What's the newest best thing you've had come in?"

Janneke chuckles. "And often times, the old tales prove to work," she says, passing over the tea once it's ready. "As far as here... oh, I actually got a set of vintage Live-Aid posters from the 80s, almost perfect condition, come in today. And that guitar I just finished wound up going veneer-first along some blacktop, so I put it back together."

Caressa nods, glancing over to the guitar, "Looks lovely! You'd never know!" A rather lively ringtone is heard from her purse. "Oh, that's my nanny. I should be move towards home and find out what the problem is. Rain check on the tea?"

Janneke ohs and smiles. "Okay -- next time, it'll be a little less hectic, i hope. And I hope all is well. Take care of yourself!”

Caressa smiles, "I hope so too! You be well also." She turns and waddles towards, and out the door while fishing for the phone...
