The Barony of the Starless Lodge located in the Nameless Woods in the shadow of the mountains deep in the Coastal Valley of the County of Reflective Dawn. The Lodge was created as a retreat and astronomical research station for House Eiluned but parts of it were opened up to the public in the 1920s. The Lodge was thought to be lost during the 1986 earthquake but the path to the Lodge was recently discovered by those of House Eiluned returning from Arcadia. The Lodge's status and state of repair are currently unknown and it is currently closed to the public. It is rumored to be haunted and the forest path that leads to the Lodge is said to be impassable.

History

The Starless Lodge has a long and checkered history. The freehold was re-discovered by the Unseelie Baroness Willoughby de Eresby ap Eiluned in 1970 shortly after she re-emerged from Arcadia. She built her observatory over the balefire and used it's glamour to delve into her mysterious star sorcery. At that time the Lodge was simply the observatory and a residence and was the sole domain of the Baroness and her apprentices. Baroness de Eresby vanished in 198 under mysterious circumstances and her holdings and titles passed to her eldest apprentice Baron Manuel Pavía y Novaliches, ap Eiluned. Baron Novaliches claimed the Baroness had become embroiled with dark mages from the Autumn World and blamed them for her disappearance. Other's claimed she vanished into the Deep Dreaming. Baron Novaliches, seeking to mitigate the scandal caused by the Baronesses disappearance, expanded the Lodge to it's current sprawling state. He threw lavish parties for the entire county. He also opened the observatory to the public on Sundays and allowed outside scholars to schedule time there. At night, he hosted Eiluned only moon worship ceremonies which did little to help the Lodge's reputation. Baron Novaliches's rule was marked by the strange rituals and the conspiracies that surrounded the Lodge at that time. The levity of the parties failed in shaking the holding's reputation as a place of strange magic. In 1986, the Lodge vanished again during the earthquake and Baron Novaliches and his apprentices along with it. It wasn't until Baron Money-Coutts emerged in 2017 that the Lodge was rediscovered and the roads reopened. Since it's been reopened no one has been allowed to visit. No one is sure why.
