D St. and Fifth Ave | ||
Information |
D St. and Fifth Ave. is where all the artsy types hang out, making themselves at home in the various cafes and coffeehouses and performance spaces lining the block. From alongside Off the Record an alleyway leads into private residences, away from the harsh sodium glare of streetlamps. Overall, the intersection gives off an air of pleasantness, the positive side of urbanity.
A collective of local business owners and artists are gathering to begin working on the block, to turn it into a true artists haven in the midst of the busy city.
