As you first enter, there is a little hallway and there is someone there at the door. This is the point when one is expected to speak the passphrase. Once that's spoken, you can pass through the door and into the main room.
This shop has an open floor plan allowing for many to gather. Near the entrance is a coffee machine and a display of various fresh snacks such as bagels, croissants, and small sandwiches. There is a tall, opaque jug there that has a sign on it: Pay what you can for the snacks. Behind the counter is a flag split diagonally with solid red and black. Painted above are large latin letters reading:
AMICVS PROSPECTUS
Across the room are books and magazines that were probably for sale at one time, but now are just labeled: Pay what it's worth to you. They are along the themes of artwork, the occult, and far-left politics. There are also three Linux computer terminals providing free internet access to all and there's a sign there as well, reading More Secure Internet Coming As Soon As I Figure Out How.
The back room contains various artistic and technological items, suited for art class or hack space. A decent PA plays ambient music and jazz. There is a well worn loveseat, a couch, and a coffee table. Various works of art in different mediums adorn the shop.
