Hyper Intelligence Technologies
Hyper Intelligence Technologies, or HIT Marks, are artificial creations designed by various iterations of the Technocratic Union as semi-disposable front-line shock troops. Their expected life is short, but they make up for it by generally being massively overpowered.
The common appellation derives from the indicated of the specific iteration: The current models, for example, are "Hyper Intelligence Technologies Mark V," usually shortened to "HIT Mark," although a more accurate acronym would simply be "HIT."
HIT Mark Is, the first example of artificial creation, were first created in 1523 BCE by early Artisans
(perhaps members of the Reed of Djehuty). Examples include Talos, the bronze giant; Daedalus' mechanical minotaur; and the terracotta army of Ch'in Shih-huang-ti.
HIT Mark IIs were first developed almost 3000 years later, in 1356, by Artificers of the Order of Reason. They took the form of clockwork automatons, covered in Primium plate mail and fashioned to resemble armoured knights.[1]
HIT Mark IIIs were introduced a "mere" 500 years later, in 1837, again by Order of Reason Artificers. They resembled three-meter tall blocky tin-men, powered by steam engines and controlled by Analytical Engines and punch cards.
HIT Mark IV was developed in 1953 by the Technocracy's Iteration X, and resembled a 2.2 meter tall black-and-silver robot.
The first cyborg HIT Mark, the HIT Mark V, rolled off the "assembly lines" in 1984. As cyborged clones, they're a joint project of both Iteration X and the Progenitors.
The next version, the HIT Mark VIs (or NT-1s) are "T-1000"-like beings composed entirely of nanotech robots. As of 1993, they were still in prototype form.
Hetrodynamic Etheric Xenoforms
Hetrodynamic Etheric Xenoforms, or HEX Marks, are artificial creations designed by various iterations of the Technocratic Union as dynamic learning and evolving alternative to the semi-disposable Hit Mark Shock Troops. Unlike the Hit Marks expected short life and overpowered weaponry. Hex marks were designed to be self sustaining and evolving, adapting there weaponry from there experience and enviorment and were designed to be practicaly immortal.
HEX Mark I's were introduced in 1886, this time by Order of Reason Electrodyne Engineers with the help of the newly reformed Virtual Adepts. They were smaller then there more military application sister project and resembled 9 foot tall armored humanoid figures, powered by Etheric Crucible Cores and controlled by some sort of 'expermiental' Trinary Telemetric Difference Engine. Rumour has it that the heavy and durable Primium shells were replaced by a more flexable neoflesh covering capable of simulating human appearance.
Little else is known about the Hex program after this time other then rumours that a Mark II was indeed produced.
