Rescuing Khol Pt. 3
The Troops are together and head out to rescue the kinfolk
IC Date December 13th, 2018
Players Eloise, Jake Miller, Johanna, Journey, Khol ST, Skully, Xenovia, Kandula's Hope
Location Jona's Shipwright
Spheres Gaian Garou

Journey has the Scent, his power blowing past the wards that would normally prevent it, but he can clearly feel that there is an active resistance, something fighting against him, making speed of the essence. Calls are made to bring in those here as quickly as possible. Eloise has made it clear that time is of the upmost essence, as if they managed to corrupt his avatar, then he is beyond hope of redemption.

The Trail doesn't lead into the Desert, nor does it lead downtown.. instead it leads north and west around the city to the coast, to the docks area of the city. It takes perhaps 45 minutes, assuming you all move at a run. Perhaps a little less if you move in your animal forms. Xen could easily grab a vehicle (A good way to carry Khol if he is hurt anyway) and follows the others. As you near the ocean, and the scent of the Ocean starts to overtake the land smells from further inland, you are being taken into an industrial area. The weather itself starts to turn against you, clouds gather and the wind blows. Lightning starts to crackle across the sky and the roar of the thunder comes almost instantly following the flashes of light overhead. By the time you near a large Chain link fence the skys are unleashing pelting rain that strives to obscure anything beyond a few yards away.

The Fence that you come to is chain link, with a single chain link gate that slides on rollers to the right. A Guard house sits on the other side of the gate, A light on inside shows that there is a single Uniformed guard in the house. And Hanging on the gate there is a sign that reads "Jona's Shipwright." Then below it in smaller lettering "Designing and building custom luxury watercraft for 100 years." Along the top of the fence to either side of the gate, there are curled strands of razor wire, and a camera on a rotating motor that sweeps back and forth. the Street light over the gate only gives a faint orange glow that does little to help in this downpour. There are three buildings beyond the gate. One is a small office building with no lights on. the second is a materials storage building with warning signs about the material inside. and the third and easily the largest is the Drydock building where the Ships are built. it looks big enough to build anything up to around 200 feet long from the outside. There is one visible man sized door on the side, under a small light, and a pair of large double doors facing the water, for portaging the watercraft out into the water for their first time. This building has no windows and looks to be just a massive building of sheet metal and tarred roofing. you can see only two or three cars in the parking lot to the right of the gate, one late model Cadillac, and two older cars, one a Chevy pickup, and the other a late 90's model Honda. A close look will let you see that there is a motorcycle, An old Indian, pulled up next to the gate house.

<Kandula's Hope> Xenovia says, "How high up does the magical fence go if I were to fly over it?"

<Kandula's Hope> Johanna says, "As far as I can tell, it is the same as the physical fence."

<Kandula's Hope> Johanna says, "We wait to move until Shaderunner'rhya and Defiant-Storm'rhya give their thoughts and we make a game plan. But good idea."

<Kandula's Hope> Xenovia says, "Need to stay out of sight of the camera."

Journey gets out of the car, looking at the compound and sighs, looking around, "Okay he's in there, let's see, we can hit the place in a lot of different ways."

Johanna gets out of the car as well, carefully moving around and looking over the whole place, sizing things up. Sticking close with everyone, she cares not about the storm, just about getting through the barriers - but doing it smart and planned. "Good. Let's go over the options."

Skully sits in the van, cross-legged and calm, eye closed. Once they arrive, however, he starts speaking. "Guardhouse's got one guard. Drydock buildin's hidin' a couple'a snipers. Three in the office buildin', braced an' ready to flank. Fifteen folk in the drydock itself. Ain't able to really get a bead on Khol; there's... five of 'em are doin'... /somethin'/. Four in a circle with one in the middle. Magic, I'd guess. Some sort'a mystic... egg... thing. Probably where Khol is, why he can't say as much." The big Metis opens his eye then, rising from his seat, and cracks his neck. "I'll take the three in the office."

Jake gets out also and looks up at the sky before focusing on the buildings, eyes narrowing and nods to Journey. Looks like he's concentrating. "In there, eh? It's a big area for sure." He nods to Johanna and grins at Skully. "Way to go. That's a great start."

Xenovia also gets out of the car once Johanna climbs out. She pools her physical form into a pile of mist and then sinks low to the ground to wisp out. The Storm Kami is linked with the pack, and fluidly activates Silent Speech to loop in Journey and Jake if needed.

Right now the whold place, except for the guard in the guardhouse, seems to be holding its breath, waiting amid the storm for the true storm to come. The Guard seems oblivious as he flips through a magazine.

Journey lifts his , looking at the Ring Eloise gave him, then looks up. "We have the storm. Eloise will unleash the lightning on the power grid when we need it, and black out the whole place." He then turns to the rest, nodding. "Yes the Egg, that's where he is. Okay let's take a look at the others. Weathers, you have the three in the office, what else?"

Johanna considers it all. "The snipers need someone that can either do a targeted attack, or someone that can get up to them easily. The 15 in the drydock need some sort of wrecking crew/pack attack. I think those 4 with Khol will be the last we get to. But getting through the gate? Since it is protected magically - there is a gate physically and a gate magically here. We go over maybe?"

Jake thinks and looks at Johanna. "We can just Bridge in then scatter. If I could get to the group in the circle I think I could take them all down at once...or at least stun them for a bit." He looks over at Journey since this really is his baby.

Xenovia speaks up through pack link and through silent speech. >>I can call the lightning on the larger group with Grandfather Thunder's assistance. The storm is already here. That is the hardest part.>>

"Yeah, I got those three; snipers're a problem, though," Skully replies, rubbing the back of his neck. "Xen, you think you can manage them two? Shouldn't be much trouble for you to get up at 'em an' take 'em out. That leaves the guard in the guardhouse an' the fifteen in the drydock, which includes the five in the circle. I agree with bridgin' right in on 'em an' wreakin' havoc."

Journey blinks, then sighs, "Shipwrights, Xenovia take the Drydock, use the fuel containers. That's the story tomorrow, terrible fire from an electrical malfunction from a large lightning strike. Umm Jake, can Bridge walk to the Snipers and say hello to them, take them out of the equation. Big gaping holes?"

Xenovia notifies the group, <<Excellent. I'm immune to fire.>> She informs them. There will be no problem with her moving in and out of the flames if it gets to be out of control.

Jake looks from face to face and says quietly, "We have the time and cover. Everyone needs to power up here. Prepare for the worst too. Throw everything up that you can. Sharpen Claws. You know the drill." He nods to Xenovia.

The Current combat layout is as follows. 3 snipers on top of the Drydock (that's a HUGE building) , there are three in ambush at the offices, planning to flank you. and there are fifteen inside the drydock building.. four gathered around a fifth in a circle. they are nearest to the 'Egg' Please confirm your path to your targets, and what your targets are.

Defiant-Storm transforms into a twelve-foot-tall furry death machine. DELIRIUM IN EFFECT. (+rules The Delirium)

Shaderunner explodes upward into a massive Egyptian horror. (Delirium effect +rules The Delirium)

With a crunch of bones and stretch of muscles, fur flies and wind swirls. Johanna becomes a dire wolf

Skully grits his teeth, touching his spirit charm and murmuring to himself in Lakota. He looks at the others with a grim smile and says, "See y'all on the other side of the fence" before stepping back onto a Moon Bridge that'll take him right behind his opponents.

Starchaser will wait for the signal, and then will moon bridge in to the fray where the larger numbers are at the dry docks. Not knowing what she will walk into, she will aim for what she can see near an entrance to it. Once she is in, she will being to claw and bite any enemy.

Defiant-Storm shifts to Crinos, sharpens his claws and readies to open the Bridge which will take him smack into the middle of the circle. Talk about a surprise! He motions for Xenovia to stay near.

Xenovia is a pool of mist form that spreads out near Defiant-Storm. As soon as they moonbridge into the center, the Storm Kami will unleash calling down the lightning upon their enemies within the building. One wrecking ball at the Shadow Lord Garou's side.

Shaderunner lifts the ring, looking through it as the clouds overhead light in the distance, charge passing from cloud to cloud until

KRA- KOOOOOOM!!!!!

a column of pure energy strikes into the transformer -detonating it- and causing the lights to spark and flicker and then battery backups, emergency lights.

He then lowers the ring, and flicks out his blade, clearing the target in his mind to instantly use his personal knowledge of a Gift to transport right in the midst of the snipers. Hello boys.

Xenovia is a pool of mist form that spreads out near Defiant-Storm. As soon as they moonbridge into the center, the Storm Kami will unleash calling down the lightning upon their enemies within the building. One wrecking ball at the Shadow Lord Garou's side.

Each of you passes into your moon bridge and magical transport. Skully and Johanna pop back into form.. at the fence line around 200 feet left of the gate.. even as the lights are snuffed and the transformer bursts into an explosion of fire. Defiant storm, and Xen Find themselves.. unfortunately..coming into reality again roughly 100 feet above the rooftop, in midair. Shaderunner is perhaps more lucky.. he finds himself flung out about 400 feet beyond the buildings into the water of the bay beyond.. Its as if your magical transport hit a barrier and skipped off in random directions.

Starchaser blinks. >> WHAT? This is not where I tried to go. Crap, how do we get in here? << The wolf's eyes darting around wondering how the hell this is going to work! <Kandula's Hope> Starchaser says, "If we are magically blocked.... Could we bum rush it?"

Defiant-Storm is surprised as well but immediately uses Spirit Of The Bird to stop his fall and simply hovers slowly over the building while looking around to make sure Xenovia is still with him.

Xenovia is a lot like a mist-like Zero. She floats down to keep at the same speed Defiant-Storm is falling. <<Looks like we're going in the old fashioned way.>>

When Weathers-the-Storm does not arrive at his destination, he is /furious/. He snarls, lowering his shoulders, and decides /FUCK THIS/ and charges the goddamn fence.

Sploosh the water erupts as Shaderunner comes out of the water, flying low over the water, reaching out with his senses, for the magic field, making sure he's not running into anything, heading for his snipers at 20 MPH in the night, reaching out and breaking open something in one hand as he closes, smoke coming from the hand and encompassing him and he vanishes. >>Misjump, they have better defenses than anticipated, Using Fade out, and flying to my target.<<

As the transformer goes BOOM, the guard in the guardhouse falls out of his seat, and spills his coffee all over himself. He looks a bit panicked.. but the real threats. they just go on alert. Skully leads the way back, and his claws shred the fence easily and he can walk across the barrier, simple enough. He will have to run to the right to get to the offices, but its at least dark for the moment. Apparently you just cant magic your way in. Apparently flying does not find itself effected by this, but any portaling will skip off of the barrier that lines the fence.

Starchaser runs behind the tank known as Skully, and heads to where she initially was headed at a fast gallop! Her intent and rage evident as the dire wolf snarls!

Weathers-the-Storm begins barreling toward the offices where the ambush was set, heedless of the danger -- what danger, to him? -- and opting to meet that threat head-on, claws out, with a fierce << HOKA-HEY! >> as he readies to end three lives.

Shaderunner flies invisible to the sniper tower. Now he's just pissed off. He grabs a sniper by his bullshit Kevlar body armor lifting him and breaking the invisibility as he flies down, sweeping, he takes the man and, while not beating a motherfucker with another motherfucker, he throws his new sniper turned projectile weapon into the second sniper. Perhaps not the most elegant attack, but you know what he's pissed.

Defiant-Storm deftly floats down to the nearest place to enter the building, whether it's through a window or door. Regardless, he smashes through one or the other, rolling into the room with a snarl and hopefully surprising the people in the circle as he readies to use Scream Of Gaia.

Starchaser hustles with all her speed, rage burning within her. She will burst right through the door - snarling and ready to attack in an attempt to find her mate.

The trio of ambush soldiers arrive just in time to see a brindled behemoth charging them, silver claws and gnashing teeth shining in the darkness. Left and right hands thrust forward to impale the left and right guards to the wall as the Wendigo bites off the center guard's head, ripping it free and spitting it out even as he wrenches the spines through the other two's midsections and drops all three simultaneously right outside the office door.

Shaderunner sweeps around and whips the man by the body armor, accelerating him and flipping mid air, arm whipping out and hurtling the man at the other man with his Crinos strength, and sends them out of his awareness for the moment, metallic silver maw turning to the third man. No one has forgotten you, don't worry.

They go flying into each other, Fear on their faces, but they are battle buddies. friends. as they go toppling over the parapet of the roof, one grabs the others hand, in a firm smack, and the believe he wont let his friend fall.. his other hand grabs at a guide bar.. and it looks like he is going to manage to pull it off.. until the weight of two fully equipped men hit the end of his reach, and the sheer weight rips his hand free.. and the near victory ends in a brief scream and a devastating crunch as the two men hit the concrete below.

The last sniper lifts his high powered rifle and snaps off a shot at the creature that just killed his two friends.. the bullet hitting and sparking off of the creature with out really do anything but adding more to the tally he is going to have to pay.

As Defiant, Xen and Johanna get through the door, they are faced with a double line.. five men with long spears, and five with shotguns.. the shotguns right behind the spears. they are spaced out a little, not tight packed as they were not sure you would come through the door itself. First target for Defiant would be the center Spearman.

All of the 10 are hurt, some more than others, but none direly. though a couple are starting to bleed from the nose or ears though.

Defiant-Storm *ROAAAARS* as he faces the five men, sending out a shockwave that blasts them to the ground. Holy shit. Yup, they're down but some are just stunned and the Ahroun moves in to start slicing and dicing...

Even though hurt by the sonic attack, all five spearmen try to thrust, only two make any contact, similar responses are from the shotgunners.. peppering the two of you , most of the bullets going at Defiant. None of it doing damage to him though.. though one of the spears slices deeply into Star's side drawing first blood there.

Starchaser takes an attack before she can get to making her own. A spear hits her side, and blood gushes out. Snarling and growling - she is more pissed off than ever! This wolf may be one of the calmest around, but tonight? These fuckers DIE!

Even as you burst through the door, the five mages.. four women surrounding the man standing in the middle, release their spell. The buildup of power causes a brilliant flash of light, disrupting everything, Even as a generator can be heard starting up automatically to return power to the facility. Fortunately the storm has likely hidden all the noise,, and light. But what that magical flash reveals is not something you really wanted light on. The man starts to swell almost instantly, growing larger and larger, his shape changing.. His skin mottling and his face elongating.. Within seconds he has serpentine coils instead of feet, and his head is massive, large enough to rip into a ships hull.. His now reptilian eyes still growing as his body coils and continues to grow faster and faster, larger , impossibly large, like something out of a nightmare, huge curved and venom dripping fangs descend from his serpentine mouth. The four on the ground slump over, not unconscious but clearly exhausted. and trying to simply crawl out of the way of the growing serpent before they get crushed.

The windows shatter as Weathers-the-Storm comes diving through them, landing on all fours with a roar of << WEEEEENDIIIIGOOOOOO! >> that rattles the remaining panes even as he charges straight for Jormungandr. Claws out, golden eye blazing, and really, /really/ fucking pissed.

You do not mess with a pissed off, rage filled, pregnant Garou! That spearman is going to get it! She leaps forward, ignoring the pain from her side, and pounces onto the one that hit her! Teeth go right for his head, and pops it clean off, with a spray of blood around - hopefully on some of the other guys as well. She spits out the head toward a corner, and kicks the body away.

Shaderunner stares at the man as he fires, and as the bullet sparks off his living metal skin, he looks at the man, ears working, clearly conveying a moment of 'Seriously?' Then he's a blur, moving at the Sniper, Fire Opal Blade out, seeking the snipers life.

Shaderunners blade sinks under the body armor, and comes up, slicing kevlar like paper and bone like balsa wood. He turns, the meat of the sniper falling as he turns to make sure, yep all dead. Moving on.

Defiant-Storm GROOOOOOWLS again, narrowing his eyes as he concentrates on...something...and basically, nothing-fucking-happens. He blinks, looking even more pissed off now.

As Weathers slashes out with his two claws.. they sink deep, into the hard thick scales, and the scales catch his claws.. Skully finds himself with his claws in two different scales.. and his arms locked in place as they are buried in the scales... One does do a bit of damage to the scale. but not very much (Next action you can make either an attack roll to damage the scales.. OR you can attempt a strength roll to free yourself.

<< I AM YOUR DEATH, SERPENT! >> roars Weathers-the-Storm as he charges into the gigantic snake, burying his claws in its hide. << I WILL EAT YOUR HEART! >> he snarls, but his claws stick fast in the beast's hide, preventing him from striking again.

Starchaser pounces on the next guy, this time ripping into his chest! As flesh comes off, and blood is spilled, the guy is hurt bad, but damn he's still alive! She will make short work of him the next chance as she growls in his face!

The serpent, still seeming to swell to greater heights as the magic is finishing its course, he swings his tail out and sweeps it across the ground, ignoring Skully for the moment, and going for the group near the door..

As the tail swings around at the group, the Shifters all can see it, and have a chance.. the guards.. they dont even see it coming.. as the massive tail swishes over them, two or three are knocked like baseballs into walls where they crush with a wet sound, but the majority of them are litterally turned into stains on the ground as that tail crushes them into pulp.

Defiant-Storm sees the tail swinging around just in time and simply floats above it as the guards around him are all turned into mincemeat. It's actually rather jarring to see the huge Crinos floating like that. Almost like an illusion. It's not though. It's real. Or maybe it's an illusion. Who knows?

Shaderunner turns and dives, flight carrying his metallic form to the skylight

CRASH

The Skylight breaks as a Silver snarling Silent Strider breaks in and dives for the serpent, leading with his blade, determined as he goes for the deathdealing from a new surprise front, from above.

Xenovia also floats upward in mist like form. The swirling tendrils rise above right before the tail swings their way and she floats over it like a rising wave that slowly comes back down again. The momentum in the room happens so very quickly and now the Storm Kami begins to adapt.

Weathers-the-Storm growls as his claws stick fast in the beast's hide, but manages to yank his hands free, leaving the claws behind to burrow and sting into the serpent.

Starchaser dodges out of the way of the tail as it sweeps by, and for a moment is pissed she cannot dispose of the one she bit already. But then...THEN she sees the mages trying to get away. FUCK THEM! THEY STOLE HER MATE! She is there - RIGHT there to grab the first mage that was crawling away. And so are her teeth. With a might chomp she BITES right into it's chest, through the ribcage, and YANKS the heart right out and spits it out across the room. Yeah, DON'T FUCK WITH HER OR HER MATE.

Xenovia has been charging up for what feels like forever as the garou move around her so quickly in the blur, and blink of an eye. The thunder rumbles overhead, as lightning strikes the building and the ground just outside. It's rattling as torrents of electricity and lightning spark through the broken window, the old pipes within the dry dock, and any outlet surfaces leading inside. Like a flash of white, it hits one magi and then the next, following like a circuit, that arcs and fries. It blitzes, and the charge within the room reeks of burnt flesh!

Shaderunner takes in the lightning coming down and leaps, flying down off the monster, turning and opening his hand and pop, and nothing. Yeah it takes about a microsecond and the Silent Strider banks, next strategy.

While the terror-serpent is being assaulted, Weathers-the-Storm faces it head-on and howls, arms spread wide in an invitation to come for him. It... doesn't seem like it's gonna work.

Starchaser sees her chance! Time to get Khol! The egg is right there, and her claws are ready! She raises up and swipes into the egg, cracking it open, through the energy within, and Khol drops down out of it onto his feet. She is right there, checking him out with her eyes hoping he is ok. No time for shifting to a form to communicate with him outside of the look her eyes are saying.

Unable to taunt the snake to attack him, the Wendigo leaps onto its back and climbs atop it's head, holding fast and biting down on a chitinous eyelid. He snarls, then bites again, tearing through the lid and plucking out the bloodshot eye with a yank of his neck.

Khol hit the ground on his feet, easily even, as the egg is cracked, he keeps his hands where they were, and even takes a step forward. He speaks over the mental link calmly <<We have to finish this.. Im.. Confusing his mind. You need to focus on his weak spots, or tear a scale loose.. Once you get past those into the vitals. you have a chance. >> he looks to Starchaser briefly and smiles still full of power that he is exerting on the serpent.

Starchaser doesn't even give a nod to Khol, but her tail brushes him as she goes into the fray and attacks the snake. She targets one scale in particular, her claws digging in, and rrriiiipppppp! It is torn free and while stuck in her claw, she has exposed a point that can be exploited!

Shaderunner deverses his flight and comes back to where Starchaser is working on the armor, and reaches out, touching the beast and releasing the energies inside of it, that shut off it's healing before stopping at the wound point to start tearing in with the other Garou.

Defiant-Storm ROOOOAAAARS again and -dives- for the exposed flesh of the creature, a Fang Dagger suddenly appearing in his hand as if by magic. The weapon gleams for a moment in the light before being plunged deeply into the creature who BELLOWS in /real/ pain. Deep pain. Pain that seems to actually panic the creature. The entire room shakes with it's shriek!

The serpent has flinched from some of the powerful blows. and he screamed when his eye was torn out, but was anger not fear.. but fear is in his voice as he screams when Defiant sinks that blade into him, his mind wont focus though and he turns to strike with those huge fangs at the Blade wielder.. he sinks those huge fangs down on nothing but air though, a few drops of the venom dripping from the fangs of the serpent to sizzle on the floor.

The serpent seems to waver. his mottled color starts to shift and shimmer. it doesn't fully shift, but it seems to have to fight to keep its form, a nearly human voice coming out sibbilantly "NO... NOOOOoooo" as he struggles.

Meanwhile, back in PRospect, Eloise is tokin' up on that awakened weed she had Skully load into her pipe. "Suck on that, snake boy," she murmurs, then giggles, taking another looooong hit.

Xenovia continues to hover above in the ceiling like a fine white mist of a cloud forming. The tendrils of mist charge upward, pulling in an ionic field that creates a static charge building from above. The electrical field it creates now within its turning mass begins to spark. <<Holding position and charging if you need me as a last resort.>> She informs the pack and the Elders.

Starchaser flicks her paw with that scale in it, but she just wants another piece of this thing! She just chomps down into the serpent and damn, cannot do any damage to it... yet! She will continue to try, her teeth at least getting ahold of it.

Shaderunner starts tearing into the wound Starchaser is working on, fur gnarling up more scales to tear on the inside.

Maybe it's luck, maybe it's skill, maybe it's a mixture of the two but Defiant-Storm manages to take aim and plunge his Fang Dagger into the creature a second time, thrusting DEEPER, splitting flesh and slicing into the delicate organs beneath. A scream of AGONY emits from the creature, full of pain, surprise and bewilderment which, amazingly, is it's last scream on this earth and reverberates through the huge room.

The Fall of the Jörmungandr is Massive and almost surreal as its coils convulse and the massive body falls ponderously to the ground. In the aftermath of the battle, there is a sudden, almost overwhelmingly surprising silence.

Shaderunner is just tearing into the side, widening the hole, deepening the hole and working to open up the side of the beast as it screams and dies, and he's looking around. More? Who'se next? what? He reaches up, finding the ring, woven into his beads, sound coming from him. "Eloise, where do I destroy the wards from in here?"

Weathers-the-Storm rides the dead serpent's head all the way to the ground, claws slashing and grinding the whole way. When it ceases its death throes, the huge Metis stands on the beast, taking several deep breaths before throwing his head back and howling a primal, deep-throated roar of victory over the corpse.

Xenovia slowly flits back to the ground once the battle ends and the charging tendrils of mist slowly evaporate. She returns to her humanoid form and lands back on her feet. Solidifying, she looks to make sure everyone is not seriously hurt first. Her gaze lifts to Khol, now out of the egg he was in. "I have hurry home talens if needed, Starchaser'rhya." There's a serious look of glee that flashes once the group takes down the beast, but now she's pressing to make sure the rescue goes smoothly.

Khol lowers his hands finally, his eyes settling into their normal color as he looks at those that came for him. "Thank you.. " he seems oddly at ease. "that was a well timed rescue.'

>>I got it, Journey. Most of the power went into the ... thing.... whatever that is. They'll wear off on their own shortly and I can probably speed it along a little bit.<< Eloise's voice, confident, but fucking exhausted.

Starchaser returns next to Khol, shifting back to homid, and then embracing her husband tightly. Her side bleeding still from the attack, but she does not care. She will be healed soon enough, but for now she has her mate back.

Defiant-Storm wastes no time once the monster is dead. He heads for the mouth and uses his dagger to liberate the fangs. Takes a lot of cutting too. Those gums are TOUGH. He looks over at Journey and Weathers. "There's four. Enough to go around. Should make for some great Fetishes." He goes back to cutting them out.

Shaderunner points around, "NO TELEPORTATION! Wards are still up." He says and moves to look around, silver metal Crinos looking about.

Weathers-the-Storm seethes with anger, still calming down from the fight, but manages to get a grip on his faculties and step off the dead serpent. He bows his head to Defiant Storm, then to Shaderunner, but goes to join his pack. "You... are well?" he growls gutturally to Khol, thick voice still managing to show concern even as a gigantic goddamn werebeast.

Xenovia asks the big question, "Why did they take you? And what did they want?" She takes a second to hear and then she's moving about to do the task Journey originally gave her. The storm Kami moves a few strategic barrels in place for burning, once the gathering and harvesting is complete.

Khol nods to Weathers and smiles , he reaches out and pats the beast on the forearm.. not really able to reach up much higher "I'M fine. I'm more than fine.. Fortunately they were distracted.. They were waiting for the moment of awakening.. that final moment .. to grasp my magical self.. but your arrival was right on time to stop them from being able to do that." he then looks to Xen, "I think they wanted me in their cabal.. From what I was able to gather.. there were six masters.. The spirit master jumped the gun, on trying to kidnap me..he is the one you found first.. before.. But the never had anyone able to master mind magics.. That's what they wanted me for.. "

>>But why?<< asks Eloise through the link, assuming she can hear all this. >>Why did they want you? Journey, make sure you throw a pretty huge cleansing at him directly. He needs to get back here, drop him in my garden, and he needs to stay where I can watch him for a little bit, make sure he's safe, that his soul is intact and not warped. This is some pretty heavy stuff.<<

Defiant-Storm finally wrenches the fangs from the creature's mouth and sets them on the floor next to Journey where they start to make the concrete smoke. Whoa. >>Watch those, Shaderunner. They're...all nasty.<< He glances over at Khol, making sure he's okay and listening to the tale.

Xenovia pauses with the lighter pulled from her jacket once Khol mentions magic. A brow lifts and she looks at him with some curiosity. "Seriously? Well, I'll say it for Jo. They can't have you. You belong with us." She glances to the burning fangs, "So very Harry Potter and the Basilisk." She grins at Defiant-Storm, then Journey.

Weathers-the-Storm processes this, growling deep in his chest, and shakes his head. "Have proven. Can't take you. Ever." He huffs, patting Khol on the shoulder, and leaves him to Starchaser and Eloise for now, giving them space as he returns to the others. << Do we burn everything? >> he asks, looking from Shaderunner to Defiant Storm and then Xenovia. << How do we dispose of that? >>

Shaderunner listens as Khol explains, touching the ring "Okay say when these wards collapse Eloise and we'll evacuate out." He says and takes the fangs from Defiant Storm, venom? Okay. He's prepared for venom. He takes the fangs, placing one between each finger, holding them strongly, turning and moving away, bringing up his other hand as water shoots from his palm over the fangs and through the hollow channels in the base of the teeth. the venom pushed from the fangs as the gushing water is created away from everyone, on the corpse of the thing. He turns around, nodding to himself and handing the fangs back to Jake, "Here." He then walks around, looking at the area. Chunky salsa, and a giant wyrm beast dead.

Khol nods once and chuckles "No.. they cant have me.. I'm glad to say.. as for why.. I don't know rightly.. they were determined that I needed to be their next member though." He takes Johanna's hand in his and offers "I could use a cleaning up.. that's for sure.. " he then pauses "I will submit myself to whatever you and Eloise deem needed."

Xenovia considers the veil. "Good question, Weathers-the-Storm'rhya. We burning this giant beast? Or does it need to go to the other side of things, and get handled in the umbra?" She won't set the fire until the wards come down for the evac. Any bodies outside, will have to be burned as well, within the explosion coming.

>>Give me five minutes, Journey. I've just about got them knocked out. (oooh, a butterfly)<< Eloise is HIIIIIIIGH, but she's doing good work. There's a pause, then, >>All clear.<<

Defiant-Storm takes the now de-venomed fangs and carries them like a bundle of sticks as he ambles over to Khol and company. >>I'm glad you are well, Khol. Were were all worried.<< He considers Xenovia's question and looks to Shaderunner. >>It is one hell of a big piece of shit.<<

Shaderunner looks at the corpse, "Way too big to shift across for me. By like several hundred times." He listens to the report From Eloise, and lifts his hand, trying to summon the Blade of Worlds.

Khol walks over and waits, listening, but only answering when spoken to. "We could push it into the water.. perhaps weight it down if we burn it, the bones would still be here.. those side of bones wouldn't burn away.

>>If you can hide them, when I recover from this, I can destroy them. No problem.<< That's Eloise, still as alert and attentive as ever. >>Do what you're going to do, though. I can't hold this forever. I'm going to have to pay for some of this SOON.<<

"Will be found. After fire," Weathers-the-Storm growls, shaking his head and looking the gigantic corpse over. "Can't leave. Veil." He shakes his head angrily, growling, and trying to think around the problem.

Khol asks "Do you think those scales will burn?"

Shaderunner grips his Fire Opal blade dagger and looks around, nodding, "They'll burn. We need to have words with the fire. It will keep people from seeing it for long enough for Eloise to recover.

Xenovia considers a long burning fire. "Agreed. No one needs to see a giant skull of a sea serpent, gone Kraken crazy." She's so ready to get out of here. "I'm glad you are safe now, Khol. At least for now, this nightmare has ended."

...And off back home they go - after cleansing the area, taking goodies, etc. Khol and Johanna go back to Eloise's so he can be helped, and everyone else goes home to sleep and recharge.
