Sergei nods and shrugs at Ada, he's still sitting in a chair holding a book he was reading before she showed up. "That's fair enough. How are things in weaver country?"
Brooke walks back over to the group after speaking with Dragomir for a bit. She waves to Ada and Cheeto who arrived since she stepped aside.
Cheeto peeks out from behind Ada in the spot the other Theurge was glancing. Comfortable in her natural form, the Lupus sidles slowly into view, taking in everything that's being shown to her. She's never been here, after all.
Dragomir comes walking in from the downstairs with Brooke in front of him. A glance is given towards the others, and a smile (he's either in a good mood, or planning something cruel for pack-tactics training) "Welcome to the Terminal Velocity pack grounds.. you should give proper introduction, so you will be recognized by your rite name from this point forward."
Sergei nods and smiles in response to Ada's question but falls silent when Dragomir speaks and shifts his focus to the new arrival.
Moving through the forms at Dragomir's arrival, the red wolf that was Sticks and Stones is now replaced by a red-haired woman dressed in comfortable clothes. "Hello." She bobs her head slightly, her tongue coming out to wet her lips after a moment, looking at the gathered pack that she's seeking to become a part of. "My name is Cheeto..." She glances to Ada, getting a little more bold, stepping forward. "The humans call me Adrienne Bailey, but I go by Cheeto. I was born...." she looks to her hand, counts on fingers. "Five years ago on four legs. I am Theurge of the Glass Walker Tribe. I am Cliath. Fostern soon, spirits willing. Called Sticks and Stones because during my rite because my enemies words never hurt me." She glances to Ada. "Friend of Ada. We work on spirit things together. Learning rites and gifts. Yes."
Dragomir nods his head and steps forward, "We receive you Sticks and Stones. You have answered my challenge, and earned your right to run with us." he lifts his hands. The man is formal about everything, probably has a ceremony for how he takes a shit too. Looking around the room "You each have had your chance to test the Wisdom of this wolf. Who here would deny my judgment that she has earned a chance to become a child of Merlin?" (Anyone wishing to object, should state cause now)
Brooke speaks up, "As Beta, I accept Sticks and Stones as a child of Merlin." She stands next to Dragomir, looking over at Cheeto and nods her head.
Ada gives Cheeto a light swat on the shoulder as she steps forward, grinning, but not saying anything, merely standing beside and just a little behind her. "As Omega, I accept you. If I didn't, it'd make the car ride home super awkward."
Sergei sets his book aside and stands, taking a long moment to loom and look Cheeto over "The pack speaks in your favor. Join us and be welcome."
"Cheeto would change the radio when the good songs came on to the place the man tells you about hell and Jesus and the people sing sad, sad songs if you did, Ada." As the acceptance comes from those who's riddles she answered, Cheeto can't help but grin as she takes a small step forward, into the center of the group more or less.
Dragomir looks around the room, and nods his head - not hearing any objections. He extends his hand, and motions for the others to do the same. His hands come to rest on Cheeto's shoulders. "We have accepted you in the Skinlands as one of us.. now you must seek Merlin and be accepted by our Totem. Step into the Umbra Sticks and Stones, and if Merlin finds you worthy.. you will be able to find him. May this be the last hunt you ever undertake alone."
Brooke extends her hand, and joins Dragomir by putting it on Cheeto's shoulder as well. She smiles to Cheeto.
Cheeto bites her lip at the contact, looking to Dragomir and Brooke, then Ada, then the lupus curled in the corner. "Cheeto will do her best." There's a bit of rummaging in a pocket and a small mirror is procured, the woman sitting in the middle of the group, gazing into the mirror until, suddenly, with almost a pop, Cheeto is no longer there, but in the umbra...
"Another reason to get Jam Technology when I get the chance... I wonder how hard it would be to persuade the spirits at that radio station to play something else for a while, one night." Ada rubs her chin thoughtfully, tapping with one fingernail, exchanging a glance with Cheeto. She watches her fade across the Gauntlet, then turns to look at the others of her pack.
Sergei steps up and lays a hand on Cheeto as his alpha directs, just before she disappears, then he steps back into a posture of attention.
As Cheeto slips over to the other side, Dragomir nods his head and takes a step back. He looks towards the others and offers, "If Merlin accepts her, then she will become one of us officially. Lets wish her well." He offers proudly, and nods. Though he crosses his arms, obviously pensive and wanting to see this succeed.
On the other side, Cheeto will find the near umbral reflection of this cave is virtually identical to the skinlands side. Old ancient rock that hasn't moved in ages, dormant rock spirits resting in long peace and the glimmer of something leading outside of the cave.
The umbra is a different place, and for Cheeto, being the Theurge that she is, the place she's the most comfortable. Shedding her human skin, the Lupus does the first thing that comes to mind - simply sitting and enjoying the umbra for a moment, seeing what things may come to mind, or float into view, or interesting sounds or smells come into play. Running off willy-nilly isn't something that bodes well for anyone. She trots toward the glimmer at the front of the cave, careful, alert, watching and listening for anything that may give her a clue to Merlin's location.
Brooke steps back as well, and waits to see what will happen.
Ada seems.. apprehensive, but she's been to the Umbra on this side of things before. She knows it isn't as though Cheeto just side-stepped into stone. Probably. Still.
She takes a long breath, sighs, and finds something softer than stone to sit on.
Sergei offers Ada the wooden chair he was sitting in to read, he can stand at attention for a good long time.
Cheeto's Umbral Adventure, as she likes to call them, takes hours in her view but, to the members of Terminal Velocity, she's gone for less than five minutes. In that time the Lupus exited the cave, chased down some lunes and asked them, simply, where she could find Merlin. The lunes, satiated with a gift of gnosis, sent her on her way, through a forest, up a cliff, and finally to a crag that was buffeted by a thunderstorm that came from seemingly nowhere. Lightning and wind slashed Cheeto's pelt as she made her way to the top where a single lonely tree sat and there, in the eye of the storm, sat Merlin, waiting for her. <My child.>> The totem said, the storm ending as quickly as it began. <You have searched for me and now I am here. I welcome you beneath my wings.> And with that, Merlin, with a flap of his wings, lands on Cheeto's head, the wolf's ears swiveling a little as she looks up to see her new feathered hat. <Go now, and tell my children that you are with them.> and with a burst of light, Merlin vanishes, leaving Cheeto covered in what can be described as spiritual glitter. Sneezing, she makes her way back down the mountain, back through the forest, and to the cavern where, with a little bit of pushing, she pops back into existence on top of the rock, peering down at the gathered Garou. "Hello." She calls, waving, rubbing her nose. "Merlin was hard to find!"
Brooke grins when Cheeto returns. "Welcome to the Terminal Velocity, Sticks and Stones."
Sergei nods encouragingly at Cheeto's return "Well done."
Cheeto slides off her rock into the arms of her new pack.
Ada springs to her feet like a flower in the spring rain and throws her arms out, then claps for her brandy new pack mate. Then she coughs, and does her best to look more reserved, and properly Theurgy and mysterious.
Sergei nods somberly at Ada and then winks at her. Appreciating the enthusiasm.
