Babylon
Ahh, Babylon. This floating nightclub is a unique feature within the city, changing its location every week to a new spot by dawn Monday morning. Only open at night, Babylon is more of a traveling rave that seems to carry the same theme and staff more so than a legitimate business though few could a better operating 'party' in town. Babylon utilizes abandoned warehouses, old buildings and the like as its temporary nest, installing a wide-array of lights, tables, booths and such to accomodate their patrons to give it the feel that every night at Babylon is the same no matter where it lands.

The layout is fairly standard. As you walk into the club and along the near right wall is the long bar complete with the large, black and gold sign above it which reads 'Babylon' in silver. Along the near left wall are the curtained booths for small groups that won't fit at the table. The booths come equipped with privacy curtains that can be closed to allow any degree of privacy the patrons would enjoy. On the far wall, opposite the entrance, are a series of tables that are arranged so that patrons can either watch the bar, the dance floor in the middle of the room, or the stage at the far end. The wall that is opposite the entrance, tucked in the right corner, is the stage - a black platform that stands approximately three feet off the floor so that any performer is more easily seen. Stairs on either side allow people or staff to walk up and down more easily. Tucked in the corner between the stage and the bar is the DJ's booth - also set up on a small riser so that he or she is more easily seen.

Since babylon can't redecorate the walls of whatever space they are in, they tend to illuminate the walls with different colored light to accentuate the mood. Silvery White for the bar, Green for the tables, Gold for the stage, light-blue for the dance floor and red for the booths.

Having come in much earlier, thanks to Mister Jackson given to the bouncer at the time of entry, Mira has been steadily dancing on the floor all night since she arrived. No drinks for her so far, she's only here for the music. There seems to be a couple feet of personal space around her that she tries to maintain, having paushed away a couple of the men who have tried to dance up on her.

Wyck is late for his shift, or so it would seem by the ease that he slides past the door without paying the cover and ducks behind the bar for a moment. In a flurry of activity he stripps off his shirt, kicks off his shoes and shucks off his jeans and wads them all up in a ball to stuff them into his satchel. He's... naked? It's hard to tell with him behind the bar. Ron, the lead bartender, doesn't seem all that happy with him but doesn't seem to make too much of a fuss over him stripping. Once he grabs the tray of plastic vials and walks out from behind it's obvious; he's a shot-boy. Dressed in a pair of NEON blue underwear that are way too tight to be comfortable but tight enough to show off everything he has, he begins sauntering here and there and from table to table to sell his wares.

Mira gives the man a once over when he goes near the edge of the floor she's dancing on. She gives a smile towards him, an understanding one, as it takes a certain amount of courage to walk around like that in public. "Hey. How much are those?" She asks, moving off the dancefloor for the first time tonight.

Wyck turns after serving a vial of something red to an older gentleman who was -determined- to pay the lad by stuffing the bills in the band of his underwear. Ahh...tips. Hearing the question, he walks to the edge of the dance floor and explains, "Buck a shot. Cinnamon Schnapps, Mango-Rum, Lemon-Vodka and...I don't know what the blue one is. I didn't read tonight's list."

"Probably Curacao and something." Mira says looking at the vials. Determining which one might be the best tasting. "Which one do you think is the best?" She asks, pulling a fiver from a wad of folded bills that is in her pocket. "And do you want me stuffing this down your shorts too?" She smiles looking from Wyck to the older man.

Wyck shakes his head and reaches out for the five, "Most people like the cinnamon," he points to the vial of red liquid, "...or the mango," and his finger slides to a vaguely orange drink. "The Lemon one is sour as hell." Pondering for a moment, he realizes that he doesn't have change at all and explains, "If you want change I'll have to run back to the bar. I just started my rounds and almost no one gets just -one- shot."

"Well how about we say that is for one now, and one again when I'm done the first." Mira points to the orange one, "Not a big fan of cinnamon. I'll try the mango first." She looks at the fiver in his hand, "You can keep the rest of the change, cuitie."

It's Good. It's Real Good. That is, if you like the flavors of Rum and of Mango. You have a fruity, tropical, sneakingly alcoholic beverage sliding down your gullet and into your stomach where it can do all sorts of interesting things. They apparently don't skimp on the quality here - but only a buck? There's got to be a catch somewhere. Wyck waits for you to finish the vial and then slides it into the row of empties to later be washed and reused or thrown away. "So what'll ya have next?" He asks.

As someone who doesn't drink all that often at all, Mira wouldn't really know good booze from crappy booze. So she's impressed with the shot. "The blue one, please." She looks back to the dancefloor, "The pay good?" She asks, looking from him to one of the shot-girls, then back.

Wyck snickers and leans in to whisper-yell at the girl to answer her question, "It's not all me in there. Tips are great...if you don't mind selling yourself in the process." He pulls out the vial with the blue liquid and glances around to the rest of the room with the other shot-kids. "They're always looking for more... this is mostly a 'if you want it, you gotta sell it' type of job."

"Takes a certain amount of balls to put yourself on display like that. But better than unemployment." Mira says as she takes the second shot, returning the empty tube to Wyck. "So why are the drinks so cheap?"

Mira smiles and moves back onto the dancefloor when the boy goes his own way. She wouldn't admit it, but not too much later the alcohol hits her, and she's a bit of a lightweight, so it's a really good buzz. This in turn lowers some barriers, and she starts letting people dance closer.
