TentaGrue
Karalina tells the Nightshade pack about a location King has purchased with the idea of using for a weapons depot. Their mission: Recon and clear out anything that no longer belongs. And not get eaten by a Grue.
IC Date March 09, 2024
Players Kali, KaralinaST, Ramon, Sammy
Location Old Missile Silo
Spheres Wyrm, Garou, Pentex, King Breweries and Distilleries

Sammy dragged everyone on down to ye olde saloon. He's perched Karalina up on a bar stool, as usual sitting on his jacket, even though the place has been cleaned up. There's drinks to be had, and Sammy's brought food too -- just leftovers from last night. How he got them? Who knows! But here they are, and Sammy's nibbling away while they wait for people

Karalina has some ice water, with a sprig of mint and slices of strawberry in it she is sipping on, with a plate of some food to nibble on. "I do hope things go well with the new Garou. After last night... Well.. you know. I have concerns."

Kali could smell the food on the way in. Yes, the food that she sniffed last night, before Massa threw the last sausage at Nyx's truck. But Karalina's words distract the albino from her focus as she walks in. Behind her mirrored, ruby lenses, she arches an eyebrow and heads over to Sammy and Karalina. She doesn't give voice to her question. Not yet.

Ramon slips into the saloon still dressed much like he was the night before in a light t-shirt, board shorts and slip on vans. Spotting Sammy and Karalina he waves and heads on over. "Hey, its the lovely couple and parents to be... Though I'm curious. For you, what will you do with the child? Raise it at home?" One dark brow lifts, the question on of general curiosity from the lupus born.

Ramon grin and waves to Kali too.

Sammy pushes food to a more communal area where everyone can grab some. He upnods to Kali and motions to food. "I have concerns as well," he says, but then that dies off as he turns toward Ramon. "Yeah, of course. I don't know how much actual RAISING I personally am going to do. But I can't imagine anyone else raising my kid but us." Her. He means HER

Kali gets a hotdog in a bun, and looks for the spiciest mustard to put on it. Then she takes a seat and starts to munch. "So, when I wished you many healthy True Born children the other day, your mate was with child? Congratulations, Sammy, Karalina. Have you made any sacrifices for the health of your child? I would be more than willing to assist. Since, well, mating and children are not the path I walk."

Karalina touches her mid-section. "MINE. No one else is teaching my child.. our child." There is a growl even behind her voice. When the question of sacrifices come up, she shakes her head. "I'll leave that to the Garou to handle that, but I'd appreciate it done sooner than later. Anything to give our child, our legacy the best start."

Ramon grins at the pair and nods his head. Leaning against the bar he adds with Kali's words. "I'd help too. Anything to assist for sure." Pulling out his cigarettes he then asks softly, "What the concern you brought up? What's bothering you Karalina?" Studying the kin for a moment he looks over to Sammy, studying his packmate in silence before looking away to spark up his cigarette.

Sammy reaches out to touch Karalina's hand over her belly.. "Everything will be well. THe spirits have been consulted and I know what to do when. It's more about timing and preparation than it is throwing things at the wall until they stick." He isn't suggesting that anyone here is implying that sort of thing either. Just offering up his own work on the matter. "Thank you both. When I know who is participating I'll know I can count on both of you."

Sammy glances over to Karalina and nods for her to answer Ramon's question

Karalina takes in a breath, and looks around. "Frankly? I'm concerned with Nyx. Her reaction last night? It.. did not settle well with me. Or it could be the hormones." She looks down into her lap. "I'm just a kinfolk. At work, I'm the boss. Being a mother will be new to me. I did not even have a mother growing up. My father killed her because I was not garou. Nyx... she's all about having her own warriors and it made me uneasy. I know our lives are tough, and yours even moreso. I cannot understand what she is feeling, but for the briefest of seconds? I worried she might just decide to rip this child out from me so I would understand what she goes through to have a metis."

"Was that the woman on the phone?" Kali asks. The metis is clearly not amused at all at the idea of someone ripping a child out of a kinfolk. "Nyx?" She guards her words, even if her expression, eyes hidden behind her glasses, darkens.

Ramon listens to Karalina, even as he smokes. He might be lupus, might be a dancer, but he's polite enough to make sure he isn't breathing smoke all over her or near her. Looking from the kin to Sammy, there is some silent study, thinking of sorts obviously happening behind his amber eyes. "Nyx, is of the Nightshade pack and my mate." Answering for Kali he then frowns a little to add to Karalina directly, "You know in this pack, we take a different look on our kin, yes? We see value where there can be value... and... you are Sammy's mate, we," pausing he motions to himself and Sammy since they are pack. "We would never let any harm come to you. Well, unless Sammy gave the word." A wink is given to the other man and then he nods to Karalina, "So don't worry about that. Ok?" Another smile is given and then he bites back a growl, "I'll make sure she knows to be... better."

Sammy slides his hand up and into Karalina's hair softly and leans in to touch his nose to hers. He doesn't interrupt Ramon and he doesn't downplay karalina's concern, but he does add, "I think it was INTENDED to be actually congratulatory, but it came off poorly." He touches his nose to Karalina's. "I don't think I need to tell anyone here what would happen if there was even a joking direct threat to my mate or my child."

Kali swallows the last bit of her hotdog before speaking. Manners. "I assume much the same as if someone threatened my brother," she responds. "One of our elders once said that it's good to kill a kinfolk from time to time to encourage the others." She takes a drink of coke. "But one that is doing her job, and is working at King's doing the Dark Father's work?" Kali gives a little shake of her head.

Karalina relaxes a bit at Sammy's touch. "Just so it is clear. Sammy may be a monster, but I'll set any fucker on fire that messes with our child." That is not an idle threat either. "I just hope it can be clear that even a joke will end up with someone needing to regrow their fur."

"Nothing wrong with that." Ramon says with a soft laugh as he knocks ashes from his cigarette to the floor. Seemingly in agreement about the protection of the child he then adds, "There is nothing to worry about there. That I'm sure of." Motioning to them all he then adds, "Besides, how good would our pack be at protection if one of our own harmed those we are protecting."

Sammy tips his head to kiss Karalina softly and then cuts a look over to Ramon. "Mm.. Yes. How good indeed would our pack be if we harmed those we're protecting." There's a faint little clearing of his throat but he looks back to Karalina and he gets up to get her some more water. That seemed QUITE pointed.

The girl with the striking, white hair is blissfully ignorant of things. Or so it seems. "I seem to recall learning that protecting helpless human servants of the Wyrm was a way to gain infamy." Kali sips the fizzy Coca-Cola again.

Karalina has finished her water, and is glad when Sammy goes for more water. "Protecting helpless humans that are servants of the Dark Father, not just merely cocksockets, should be done. Although I'm wondering where the lines are being blurred here."

Ramon can't help but laugh a little at the response from Sammy. Waving that off he adds, "I mean, real harm." With that said he pauses to take a heavy drag off his cigarette, exhaling softly before his attention shifts to Kali, "What about the new siblings here... Do they seem like Nightshade material?"

Sammy pours Karalina's water and gets her fresh mint and all that and then comes back around to slide into the seat next to her. He shifts a little in his seat to get comfy and then turns to look at Kali. "Hmm.. Maybe. I haven't REALLY met your brother, but you seem alright. How big of an intimidating dick can you be?"

"Cocksockets, I like that word. Useless women kinfolk wound up in the breeding pits, along with kinfolk captured from other tribes, their bellies swollen until they died in labor or couldn't breed anymore and were slaughtered back at Trinity Hive," Kali says. "The men were, well, they had a harder time." She looks to Sammy. "Kama is . . ." Kali laughs. "Well, I'm biased, so anything I say would be discounted." The Metis hums as she thinks, and removes her glasses, putting them in her leather case. "As to how intimidating? I like to think that I can hold my own when it comes to kinfolk and mortal servants of the Wyrm. Of course, seeing is believing."

Karalina goes to drink her water, and pauses when the breeding pits are mentioned. Then she sits it back down. "So far, I'm pleased with having two new employees in King. Any question will be put to rest when we see their productivity. I am impressed by Kali already. Especially with how she has dealt with her own kin. If I may suggest, you all should go out on a patrol or run or something. See how you operate together to search something out."

"Cock sockets..." Ramon laughs and then shakes his head to add, "They all have their place." Listening to the rest he nods and then grins at Karalina, "Good idea. Let's run a patrol with the new folks."

Sammy nods to Kali and shrugs. "Just because you're biased doesn't mean you're wrong. Who knows him better than you?" He skips over the talk of the breeding pits and kisses Karalina on the side of the head, then nods to Ramon. "They DO have their places. I agree. I'm not sure I could have gotten through my teens without killing a lot more people that I did if not for the Jessikas of my home Hive." Just a fact.

Sammy adds a nod to Ramon. "I'm down for patrol, yes."

Karalina offers, "If you are going on a patrol, can you go check out this place for me? I found this place specifically after we had this talk with Penelope last week. An old missile silo. I thought it would be good for storing the weapons we do not want at the range, or in the HQ. Possibly setup testing/training area. There is also some greenhouse near by that maybe could be of future use to our newer members of Special Projects. If you could go you all and check it out? Of course, I'd like a report back on it. Since I'm spending King money on this."

"Oh, they will be productive," Kali says, with complete finality. "Erin doesn't want Aaron to lose body parts. And Aaron doesn't want to be tied up and made to watch while I draw every tear she has out of Erin," She explains to Karalina. "I think my lesson was enough." Listening to the two male Spirals talk about human sex-pets she sips her coke.

"Well, then, what do you want to know about Kama? I've known him my whole life; we were close as children, and closer still now. Growing up Metis, we were trained, guided from birth to serve the Dark Father. Raising a metis is a lot different than raising a homid or lupis shifter. I bet you were never thrown against the wall hard enough crack the drywall at four years old. Well, two years old for me, but I think that tracks with how old a homid would be at that age." She looks to Karalina. "I'm happy to assist."

Hwy 42 - Near Parking Lot of Missile Silo Grounds

A fence topped with barbed wire sits around large parking lot. Just past the parking lot is a squat square concrete reinforced building next to what is obviously the launch doors of a missile silo. The light posts and building have security cameras that watch the grounds.

After giving directions and and address to the group, Karalina is safely tucked into a car. No need for her to be in the middle of Garou business. Together they will have decided how to get there from Blackfork - which is only a few miles away. When they arrived, they would have seen a fence topped with barbed wire around a parking lot. There is a squat square concrete reinforced building next to the launch doors of a missile silo. Light posts and security cameras are present. They are assured though from Karalina that the place has been inactive and is now under King's ownership so anything that happens there stays with King. The question is - what is inside?

Please describe how you get here, your approach, and any rolls/gifts you would like to make before entering. As you have no keys.

Ramon fires up the beat up truck from the ranch and drives the crew over. This makes sure they all get there together in a very mundane way that won't cause any trouble for any of them. Once they arrive he parks and gathers with the others as they look over the site. "Mmmmm, this she said isn't active, so those cameras and that kind of stuff shouldn't be a big deal. Though, who knows if anything else will be a problem." Looking to make sure the others are ready to move he asks, "Anything you need before we move in?"

Sammy lets Ramon drive, but he has Karalina strapped into a seat belt for sure and he's in the back with her, JUST in case. Kali can ride front seat with Ramon. He pulls his sunglasses down over his eyes, which seems a little silly, considering that it's dark outside already.

"Well, I don't have my bagpipes, so I can't give us a stirring march as we go forth. However." Kali clears her throat. "♪We bask in the glow of the rising war, lay waste to the ground of the Gaian shores, wade through the blood spilled on the floor, and if another one stands, We'll kill some more. Come to the Nightmare, come to me, deep down in the dark where the devil be, in the maw with the jaws and the razor teeth, where the brimstone burns and the angels weep. Call to your gods if we cross your path and my silhouette hangs like a body bag, hope is a moment now long past, the shadow of death is the one we cast!♫" She grins. "Man, I'm going to feel so fucking stupid if this place is empty, aside from being disappointed."

Karalina will stay in the vehicle, going over things on her phone. Look out in a way? Safe though. Locked in the car.

Sammy is nervous about bringing Karalina along for anything like this. But he makes sure that she has one of the hurry homes IN HER HAND and ready. "No hesitation," he tells her. "Anything even starts to look dangerous and you use that." And yes, lock her in the car and then link arms with Ramon and hop/skip a little bit while Kali pumps them up. It's silly. But just for a second, then he drops his shades down over his eyes and gets REAL serious and REAL quiet. "Kali, you know how to pop a lock with a Gift?"

Ramon has a backpack on his back and moves along with Sammy. In that backpack is two of his fetishes, the devil whip and magic spewer. Stopping at the locked gate, he nods in approval as Kali pumps them up and then waits to see if Sammy is popping the lock or if they're busting in.

Kali follows them as they head over. "No, sir. I can make darkness. Get really fuck-ass mad, and mindspeak. Lock busting is, well, I would rip it off, I think," Kali says.

Sammy nods. "Normally, I would too, but I specifically don't want to draw attention.. yet. He reaches out to the padlock and gives it a little shake and......

.... the lock pops open in his hand. He pulls the gate open and motions the other two ahead of him. "ladies first."

Old Missile Silo - Quarters

Stepping down from the desert through a heavy metal door, the long hallway down simply leads to another heavy door. Said hallway contains an array of cameras, and is about as plain as one can imagine. Cold concrete walls and circular dim lights are spaced evenly down the top of the corridor making just small weak pools of light in the endless darkness. Passing the second door however, the scenery changes quite a bit.
The great round common room is carpeted in plush crimson carpet and many individual black overstuffed chairs. Palatial comfort. A variety of bookshelves and paintings line the walls. The most prominent art is a set labeled "The Black Wars" which are gilt framed samples of Vanta Black to Black 2.0 and the iterations between them.

The three walk through the open gate, and across the parking lot. There is nothing here but some weeds, and stray debris from the desert winds blowing things around. When they get to the heavy metal doors to the silo, it is unlocked. But just as they are walking in, all three of them not only notice that this place is empty, possibly used as a place for some comfort and research? But darkness, and the feeling of something soul-sucking nearby. A negativity, like a black hole - but you just do not know what it is. Nothing like you have experienced before.

Feels like home. Sammy briefly basks in the supernatural pull toward oblivion, but then puts out a hand to stop the other two from progressing. "Stop," he says quietly and he flips his shades down over his eyes. "There's something.."

Kali nods, stopping in her tracks. "I feel it, too. Doesn't feel like our kind of energy. Let's kill it. And hope it has skin." She wants to shift to her breed form, so bad. But Kali waits to watch the older, wiser, wolves.

Ramon enters after Sammy pops the lock and then stops to pull his backpack around and pull the magic spewer free. With the fetish in one hand, the backpack is slipped back into place and he waits as the others stop.

Sammy flips the glasses down from the top of his head and there is, behind those glasses, just the faintest green glow. He nudges Ramon. "You got something to see in the Dark with?" Then, "I'm shifting. When *I* get goosebumps....?" And not in the sexy way. "Kali, you still CLOSE if you can't see. We're not losing a Cliath." He's quiet, of course

The longer you stand in here, the more you feel like the void that pulls at the center of your guts is coming from the lower levels of this place. There is a door that will take you there - but do you dare to push those feelings down and head into what is uncertainity? Danger? Hmmmmm??

Kali nods, shifting effortlessly to her breed form. That's one thing she can do, shift easily. "Understood, sir. I don't plan on dying today," she says in Garou. There's time to be social and chill, and time to do exactly what she's told. This is the latter.

Ramon shakes his head, "Just a flashlight." There is a laugh as he nudges his companion back and then pulls out his phone to use the flashlight if needed. Stripping it to the strap of his backpack as he shifts into glabro he adds, "Let's see what's going on in there."

Ramon shifts into his near-man form, a powerfully muscled tattooed man with dark hair and light eyes.

"Cool," Sammy says, stepping back when he's nudged, and lets the Ahroun take point. He shifts last, but all the way up to crinos

Missile Silo - Well of Night

Down more tunnels from the upper level you finally reach the base of the structure. This lower level includes the sealed missile silo and someone has gone along gutting and removing every source of light. For those that this is not a problem for the area is comfortable with places to sit or kneel. A central upraised section at the heart of the chamber where a figure can address some morbid congregation. Writing in Latin and Slovak cover the walls with praises to darkness and its embodiments. But for all its decoration if you are unable see in the dark one fact remains:
It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

Ramon flicks on that flashlight on his phone, strapped at his shoulder of his left side on the backpack strap. Letting that light help light ahead, he sniffs at the air and growls softly. Moving with the magic spewer at the ready he keeps quiet as they explore, senses keyed for the slightest sound, smell or movement.

Sammy has a bath bomb in one hand, his gut bonds in the other, glasses on. He growls softly as well, determined to not look at the almost fucking glowing crinos just a little to the side and behind hi

The Crinos Garou, colored like white on rice in a glass of milk on a paper plate in a snowstorm follows the two, every so often checking behind them, to make sure someone's not going to take them from behind.

Everyone is surrounded in darkness, although Sammy has at least some ability to see something with his sunglasses (he wears them at night! LIKE A BOSS!). As they make their way in, Sammy and Kali feel something sweep by them. It is some sort of presence. Ramon feels a bit of a breeze. Not seeing much, and no windows and no other doors? Did they enter the haunted mansion?

>>Holy fucking Japanese anime porn, Batman,<< the Crinos THeurge mutters, eyes shifting here and there, but nothing really to see other than the faintest glow through his shades. ANd don't say for one second that the concept of tentacle porn is not a Garou concept. If anything, the BSDs have SEVERAL glyphs for that exactly. Sammy reaches out and snags Kali with a massive hand to bring her closer. >>Alpha... we are far from alone.<<

Ramon is moving carefully, the bit of light from the flashlight not the best thing in the world in the dark this deep. Feeling that breeze he says softly >> Did you feel that breeze- << cutting off as Sammy speaks there is a nod and then he lifts his skull spewer to ready it.

Kali takes a step to Sammy, not being have to told that twice. She has no clue what's down here other than it's some magical bullshit. The white-as-snow Crinos stays close. >>This isn't something that bleeds, is it?<< Kali asks in Garou.

Just as Kali speaks, she and Sammy will feel something wrap around their ankles and tug - hard. Trying to take them off their feet/paws. For whatever reason, Ramon is avoided.

Ramon is still a little /in the dark/ about just what is happening in that deep darkness around them. Sniffing the air he focuses on the spewer in his hand, the skulls eyes glowing red and the jaw moving on its own. Trying to find what it is in there with them, he looks about.

>>Fuck<< Sammy's leg is jerked and he smoothly stays on his feet -- somehow. >>Alpha, we're being attacked<< Despite that proclamation, Sammy seems at least mostly calm. >>Kali, be ready for ANYTHING<<

Kali growls as something tries to trip her up, but she stays on her feet. >>If it will show itself so I can kill it<< Kali responds, looking around. She sounds more annoyed than anything. >>Come out and face me, thing!<< So, the odds of it being able to speak Garou are slim, but sometimes tone can convey a lot.

Ramon can't see the thing they are fighting in the darkness, but he can figure out that something is happening with Kali and Sammy. Turning to look at Sammy, he lets his light move over his packmate to spot the tentacle that has a hold of him. Following it as he lifts the fetish spewer in his hand, he commands it to attack, the mouth opening wide as a stream of viscous, foul-smelling toxic waste spews out to wash over the tentacle without splashing on Sammy or Kali. Claws. Sammy's are quite effective, but that doesn't stop the thing from squeezing the shit out of his leg. Sammy ROARS with indignation and narrowly avoids Ramon's spew.

Tentacles! >>Do I LOOK Japanese?<< Kali yells in Garou at her attacker, swiping at the Henticale monster holding her ankle with her claws. Which is a lot easier to do when you're not 9 feet tall. She growls at it as the thing squeezes her leg, giving her a bit of pain. Which, since her Dance, isn't all that bad . . .

It's at that point that a dark inky mist begins to drop all around you as if it is raining. It moves though, and is forming all around you. The walls are covered in this, as it shakes and shimmies toward a place in front of you all. With a loud HISSSSssssssssssssssssss a voice can be heard. "Who... are... youuuu? Prepare... to.... dieeeeeeeee!!!!!"

Ramon is in his glabro form, a tall, powerfully built, tattooed man with feral features and that aura of rage. Standing taller, he flexes and lifts his fetish weapon, the magic spewer as he roars out a vicious battle cry at the inky darkness, a challenge that is mystically fueled to instill fear in his foes.

Had enough. Sammy is just about done with this fucker. (Hah! Tentacle. Fucker) He digs his claws in, prepared to just hold on, but the thing deflates and turns into nothing.

>>Listen here Inigo Montoya<< Kali snarls at the monster. >>Fuck off and Die!<< Rule No. One of fighting, as per movies. Quip. Quip often. She growls as she reaches down to swipe at the tentacle at her leg, this time she at least connects!

The inky dark form is motionless. No words, just a low hiss coming from it. The tentacles... now a tentacle is still trying, but losing the battle.

Ramon lets his light move over the space, seeing that inky dark form, the mist, the tentacles, and the fight Sammy and Kali are having with the appendages. Seeing how his gift of True Fear seemed to work on the misty form he lifts the skull head and orders it to attack with rough worded command that is as close to a bark as he can make in that form. The eyes of the skull blaze with red light and the mouth opens wide to vomit out the viscous foul-smelling toxic waste over the creature.

The spewed slime hits the inky mist and it BURSTS into Flames like a dry Christmas tree hit with a cigar from Uncle Lewis! POOF! With it the last tentacle disappears, and all that is left is a pile of ash on the ground. There is still a small feeling of dread in here, but nothing like before, as if the link to the whatever it is has been cut off.

Sammy winds himself up for a rather vicious sort of attack of some sort then... spew. The mist bursts into flame and Sammy backs a half step up and spins himself around. He can still see in the dark, but also the shades protect his eyes from the light. SEE HOW NEAT THAT IS?! He turns in a half circle and gives Kali a little push to make sure there's room for people to move if something comes back in. >>Boss? Is tat all clear?<<

>>Good fucking job," Kali says in Garou. >>No idea what is is, but I think it's dead. ♪As Coroner, I must aver, I've thoroughly examined her, and she's not only merely dead, she's really most sincerely dead.♫<< Yes, the Galliard is singing The Wizard of Oz in Crinos, and trying to do the high-pitched munchkin voice. >>Just to be clear, I have no idea if it's dead. That's an aspirational song.<< All the while, she keeps her back to the two, watching her part of the room for any other bullshit that might come.

Ramon looks around, sniffing the air and nodding a bit. "I think so." The words are growled out in this near man form. Looking to the ash he then adds, "We can explore, make sure there is nothing else like that in here before calling the all clear." Looking between them and grinning at the cool shades he adds, "I might have to do something like that, but maybe a scar or tattoo. I can't pull off the look as well as you."
