- Some factions are incompatible with the Torment mechanics. Evil actions result in Torment gain. So your character will not be approved if aligned with Wyrm or Pentex due to the inevitable implosion from Torment.

DtF 170:
- You can never raise a lore higher than your primary lore, which is determined by your apocalyptic form. Raising another lore equal to your primary lore is OK.
- "Characters can gain new lore, including paths from other Houses, when you spend experience points" is interpreted as disallowing buying out-of-house lores during chargen.
