Introduction Have you ever thought that it would be cool to be Gary and Wyatt from the movie 'Weird Science' and be able to create Lisa? Or what about the Tyrell company that built Rachael that was able to pass the Voight-Kampff test from the movie 'Blade Runner'? Did you ever think that it would be awesome to have successfully constructed Lieutenant Commander Data and his "brother" Lore from Star Trek: the Next Generation? Or did you go old school and think about Mary Shelley's Frankenstein or Carlos Collodi's Pinocchio? Do you fear Ava's decision at the end of 'Ex Machina', or do you sympathize with her? Do you welcome the aid that comes from Cameron from the Sarah Connor Chronicles, or does the Terminator in its various iterations still give you nightmares? Welcome to Mikaela's world. Though, being successful in this realm does come with a lot of failures, set backs, and destroyed laboratories. Misunderstandings, false sense of entitlements and retribution seem to be enough reason for a little blonde Scientist to decide that California is where she needs to be. It's like they're so overwhelmed by Science, that they made it a religion. More power to them, I guess? I'm not exactly sure that the Science of pharmaceuticals is the best way to achieve Enlightenment. They'd rather hang out in the jungle and bang on their bongo drums than experience true Science. Creepy. I get it. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. The whole cycle thing. But do you have to be creepy about it? You have been enlightened to a whole new world! Do something with it! With great power comes great responsibility! At one point in time, the Harry Potters probably ruled the world. But they need to catch up with the times. Science is awesome, but we need to constantly remind ourselves - just because we can do something, doesn't mean we should. I kind of like Celtic Woman, and their song Tir Na Nog. Is that supposed to be you? They're on the right track, but they'd rather stay in the Matrix or the Digital Web rather than experience reality. To find her at the quad or the nearby coffee shop, Prospect Roasters, is certainly not uncommon. Whether she's in the dorm, studying in the library, or looking for those college parties on Thursday nights (yes, we all know the weekends start on Thursday for college students.
