- Adventurer - He belongs to the Field Scientists, a 'faction' of Sons of Ether. They travel the world, using their Science to fight evil and better the world. He's been everywhere, stopping doomsday cults, defeating mad scientists, and generally living a crazy, amazing life. Not all Etherites appreciate the Adventurers, but the group has saved the Tradition from destruction on multiple occasions.
- Discredited - So, here's the thing. Nathaniel never finished college. In fact, he started college at sixteen, and dropped out at seventeen due to a 'nervous breakdown'...AKA his Awakening. He took off and began exploring the world with his mentor at the time, The Aviatrix, another Adventurer. He's not taken seriously in mundane academic circles.
- Duke - 'Dr. Impossible' is actually young Duke Nathaniel Underwood, of Inverness. He isn't taken seriously by other peerage nobility in England, and he's fine with that.
- Heroic - He's, he's a 'hero'. It's kind of the entire point of the Adventurers. This does not mean I'm going to try and immediatly shutdown your 'black hat' fun, so don't worry.
- Science - He's a Scientist. However, as an Etherite Adventurer, he accepts and uses NUMEROUS 'sciences' that are completely bogus. He believes, however, and that is all that really matters. Specifically, he makes great use of Occult Mechanics, Psychic Powers, Fortean Phenomena, and Cryptotechnology.
