"I see a tower of bone upon which they rise

To the void below they will fall to no surprise

And call upon the forces dark and sinister that thrive

I say unto ye O Dead, the city must survive."

~ Oracular Hymn, Handmaiden of Fate.
Summary

The City of Prospect has long since lost the bastion of security offered by the Hierarchy and it's legions. Left to fend to their own devices, the restless dead have struggled against their shadows and the shadow-eaten that dog the shadows of every alley and corner. There is of course another story, another story that coincides with this frontier. Because at times the shadows that lurk in those corners move with purpose, and the shadow-eaten who gather do so with intention. Is Prospect as lost as some might expect? Or is there more sinister works that linger in the dark?

At Absinthe and Arsenic, Sin-Eater was preparing to spend another day in vigil over the dead of Prospect when she was met by Morden, a Pardoner. Their conversation turned dark, as it appeared that Morden was a heretic, espousing release to Oblivion as the only true peace a soul might find and begged Sin-Eater to leave Prospect to tend to another flock. Sin-Eater refused, claiming she would remain vigil no matter the thoughts of others and Morden departed.

Following on the trail of Life and Death, Floyd - now a Risen, begins to hunt for something stranger. Going to the Coroner's Office he meets Kinsey, Prospect County Medical Examiner and Medium. They discuss the dead bodies found on the Tamerlane and Floyd relays info he has received from several sources. He realizes that the Risen who were aboard the Tamerlane were neither Aztec nor cult members, casting a shadow over the events of the Tamerlane.

NPCs

THE BULLET MAN Wraith Assassin
BulletmanCMS.jpg "The Bullet Man" wears a sleek, 1940s suit complete with thin tie and fedora cap. Wherever he travels, the faint smell of gunsmoke can be smelled in the skinlands. He carries a level of sophistication in how he speaks - clearly well educated, charismatic, and carries a perverse sense of honor. His name comes from his uncanny ability to always have some form of firearm on his person and can pull them as if from out of nowhere. While his preferred weapon of action is a dragunov sniper rifle, his preferred weapon of choice is a Maggot Revolver. On his left hand is a brand of the Penitent Legion.

Currently the Bullet Man is contracted to Obliviate Floyd, by any means necessary by a group known only as "The Masters". To that end he has been scrounging Prospect hunting for the Doomslayer. So far, he has been unsuccessful.
