FAME 1
Regular TV Spots on local Television advertise the Milano Law firm and
Lucius with the self-styled monniker.., "The Hammer."
Camera pans in on an inmate in an interrogation room looking distraught
with worry. A voice over advertises in the background, "Are you facing jail
time for a crime you didnt commit? Wrong place? Wrong time? Don't let one bad
decision ruin your life.
"You got one phone call," a police detective tells the inmate.
Suddenly the inmate looks relieved and delighted. "555-FREE," he
exclaims to the cop. "I'm calling the Hammer!" The shadow of Lucius appears
in a low budget flash of light. He holds a shadow gavel in his silhouetted
hand. With this he breaks the chains connecting the handcuffs over the steel
table. Not enough budget to actually break the chains with computer animation
so there is another cheesy flash of light to cover the chain supposedly
breaking.
The frame freezes and Lucius steps out of his own silhouette. "Hi Im
Lucius Milano. I specialize in Criminal and Family Law. If you find yourself
on the wrong side of the law or face a nasty divorce, you call me, The
Hammer. A beautiful hispanic woman walks out on the screen.
I thought I had lost everything. My ex husband left me without a job,
without a home, without hope, and with a baby on the way. But I didn't give
up. I called The Hammer!" (Cut to a smug looking man in a suit. A giant
hammer comes down and there is a flash of light over his midsection and the
smashing sound of an explosion. A cheesy flash of light and then our boy is
holding his crotch and looking pathetic before cutting back to Lucius and the
single mom).
Lucius puts an arm around the now happy woman. "I have been practicing
law in the State of California for ten years. My case record is over two
hundred to one. When you feel like giving up, thats when you should call me
Lucius Milano. (555-FREE flashes below in green lights.) I don't settle. I
get results!" A hammer smashes the screen apart with a sound of breaking
glass and the spot concludes.

frozen in an endless summer, a brilliant and bright sapphire. You see, ever
since he was encouraged to take his first deep breath, Brody's pop knew that
there was something special 'bout his baby boy, that he was destined for
greatness amongst you beach leeches and gum-smacking gidgets. He had the
vastness of the ocean in his eyes, and as said, between in his ears (the grey
belly snort-chuckles), as well as its mighty depth in his powerful lungs.
Aye, he had what you'd call an affinity to the sea, hearing the Siren's call
clearly in his soul. He was a tad pole in its home pond, ridin' the tube
_right_ after he could walk. Hell... I 'member seeing him for the first time,
not too far from here. Yah, it was to the south, over at Mavericks. He was a
teen by then, and even amongst the epic kings I saw that day, he was already
the grand master of the clidro, the cross step, the cutback, the goofy, and,
'course, the drop. He was damn majestic. (The grey belly pauses for dramatic
effect.) Yah know, just a few years after that, he won master at the Banzai
Pipeline in Oahu. Yah, that dude had supreme talent. Everything was goin' my
brah's, Brody's, way, it was all choka. Well...(the grey belly takes a long
sigh) all till that one, day. You heard 'bout it, it was all over the news
for a good couple of weeks, the day of Brody's final mullering. It was a man
in a grey suit, they say, a honkin' noah, a huge and gnarly -sixteen- footer.
I've been told it was like someone pulled Jaws right off the movie screen,
and plopped him down into Brody's hollow, with jaws wide open. Supposedly,
yah could see the great white's shadow first, like some kinda shimmering
mountain, a gargantuan, cerulean silhouette. Then...CHOMP (the grey belly
loudly claps his hands), and one of our greatest princes of ol' Poseidon was
gone. Swallowed up. (Once again the grey belly pauses his story for dramatic
effect.) So, now, yah probably askin' yerself. Why am I even tellin' yah
this, if it ain't got no happy endin'. Hm? Because I want yah to remember him
and what he did, yah boogers. Yah see, for all his gifts, Brody was one of
us, he was a young man snatched away in his prime. He knew the dangers, he
knew what could happen. But, he faced them every day, living in the moment
and always doin' his best. That's what you take away his tale of sorrow and
woe. Yah, hear? Relish the endless summer, don't be a paddlepuss."

It's been just under five years since Prospect lost one of its own
darlings, and this reporter still mourns. In case somebody somehow forgot,
I'm going to remind you all of the lovely woman who lost her life on April
17th, 2009.
Elissa Carcassone was born right here in sunny Prospect on April 17th,
1983, exactly twenty five years before her death. She was always a star, and
a lover of attention. She stared in many of our local plays, starting as
young as Elementary School. Even at a young age she was involved in public
service, helping at soup kitchens, and with fundraisers. She became Miss Teen
Prospect at the age of fifteen, and became the youngest Miss Prospect ever,
winning the competition just after turning eighteen, adding it to her list of
titles such as the Prospect High Prom Queen of the class of 2002.
Elissa always wanted to be an actress, and at eighteen she left the
family homestead behind to travel to Hollywood. Unlike many actresses, she
made it pretty much immediatly, thanks to her wit, beauty and charm. She won
her first Academy Award off of her very first movie, winning Best Breakout
Role, all before turning nineteen. Over the next seven years she starred in a
good deal more movies, and even directed one. She won another six Academy
Awards, including Best Actress twice, Best Supporting Actress twice, best
Director once, and Best Drama. She wasn't just an actress, however. She
continued being a presence in Prospect, moving back here at twenty three. She
was a major player in local charities and humanitarian needs, and also worked
hard to raise money and awareness about issues in other countries. She was
such a public and beloved face that the UN made her the Goodwill Ambassador.
She was preparing for her second directorial role, and for her own birthday
party, when tragedy struck.
Her famous actor fiance, Donald Sandors, for reasons still unknown,
murdered her. Violently. Donald is still in prison, where he is serving
several consecutive life sentences. People still leave presents or wreaths,
or messages upon her local grave, or outside the quiet, abandoned home that
once brought such life to the town.
This local still misses you, Elissa. I hope you are lighting up the
room wherever you are in the same way you did here.

problems, but who doesn't? He owned up to the sex tape that was leaked a few
years back by starring in a record selling issue of Playgirl not long later,
and laughing it off on the arm of whichever sultry young Hollywood starlet
he's seen on the arm of this week!
Rumor has it that the star has moved to the city of Prospect to escape
the fast paced existance you'd find in Hollywood or New York, but rumors
persist that his agent is making him take a sabbatical to deal with his
recent break-up with the beautiful and talented Jennifer Lawrence. Were they
really as hot and heavy as people like to believe, or as she put it, were
they 'just friends'? Either way, get ready Prospect!
