------ The area immediately around The Brick House looks much the same as the night before although with the notable lack of any bodies hidden behind dumpsters this evening. Parking lot decently filled (probably unwisely filled since not like there are any designated drivers in the place). The Freeway has died down after the height of rush hour though there is still an every present stream of moving vehicles, mostly of the four wheeled variety but after a while a rumbling bike does roll its way into the back lot, two riders on it.

<OOC> Azel says, "Obfu 2 and Visceratika 1 are active, still have the Obfu 3 face on as well (though doesn't matter right now because of obfu 2)"
<OOC> Tillie nodnods.

Azel comes to land on the roof of the place after seeing and confirming the bikers, watching them from the closer distance to see if there's any identifying characteristics... as well as what they're doing.

For the patient, it's not hard to look closer. The pair seem blissfully unaware of any aerial observation. He parks in a spot that's totally not a spot judging by the faded yellow lines all on it. "Donnie!" the woman that was riding behind laughs and reaches for the lighter that the guy was holding out of reach for a moment, teasing for a moment before he tosses it over to her. "Fiiiiiine. But don't smoke the whole damn pack. Sooner you get the job done, sooner we can get to the real fun." As he leans back to enjoy his own smoke, a patch on his vest is visible. That owl that Silvana described, the Sons of Night.

<OOC> Azel says, "I wanna try the aura perception on them"
<OOC> Azel says, "p. 150 of the book"
<OOC> Tillie says, "yep. It's diff 8, a separate roll for each. let me know if you're doing the guy or girl first."
<OOC> Azel says, "Girl then guy"
<OOC> Tillie nodnods.

<OOC> Azel says, "welp"

Observing of auras, the woman's consumed mostly with various wants: Cigarettes, Donnie, whatever other fun might be in store after the job. Deep reds swarm around her, flicked with bits of blue. The guy however seems a bit more sinister even as he casually smokes, dusty blue ripples through with veins of black.
<OOC> Azel says, "So do their auras appear dim or bright?"
<OOC> Tillie says, "normal for the woman. it seems pale for the guy."
<OOC> Azel says, "Gotcha"

Azel's eyes narrow as they realize the two are, indeed, exactly who they're looking for. The aura of the woman seems normal, but that man... he is dangerous. Either one to be avoided, or one to be ambushed and dealt with swiftly. But, for now, Azel simply watches... perhaps to get a hint of what this "real fun" will be.

Cigarette smoked, the woman gives a dramatic sigh as she surrenders the lighter back over to her ride. Her pants the sort that barely have pockets, more decoration that anything. "Don't even think about driving over to In-and-Out again! I won't be long." With a wink and a kiss she hops off the bike and heads into the dive even as he calls out. "Be quick. you know my appetite!" a pat to his stomach even as he pulls out a phone to start scrolling while the woman heads inside. <OOC> Azel says, "Does the place have windows?" <OOC> Tillie says, "not in the back. there are a few small ones in front, but they're barred over and frosted."

Azel watches the woman approach the bar, then moves to the other side of the roof so they can pay particular attention to that back door. See if anyone comes out of it.

------ That's the downside of stake outs... in order to gain something one must often pay in time. Infuriating amounts of time. After time, dude switches from scrolling to playing what looks like a poker app. After an hour or so, the door opens, but it's not the woman that comes out and just another pair of barflies coming out for their nicotine fix, though dude's head pops up to confirm before back to his phone and a fresh cigarette.

<OOC> Azel says, "I'm gonna use scry the hearthstone to keep track of everyone inside and their physical condition"
Azel loses one Willpower
<OOC> Tillie says, "Don't even need the perception roll. it's not a large place. Small Bar, single stall bathroom, storage room/office. She's at the bar."
<OOC> Azel says, "Hmmm... Azel's gonna climb down somewhere out of sight, take off obfu 2, and go around to walk into the bar"
<OOC> Tillie says, "that's perfectly doable"

Seeing her just... sitting at the bar, Azel decides there must be more to this, something that warrants being in earshot. So they climb down somewhere out of sight, remove their mask of fugue preventing people from seeing their Mask, and walk into the bar like any other patron seeking a drink.

Inside the bar, Azel will find his target is indeed at the bar. She wasn't much to look at when she was outside, spray tan and peroxide blonde hair and looking like a reaaaaal rough early thirties. Thankfully for the woman, this dive's lighting is dim enough to obscure most of that. And she does have her own charms which she's used to slide on up to a guy that seems like he's already three sheets to the wind and looking more at her ample clevage than worrying about any wrinkles that might be on her face.

Azel takes a seat some stools away at the bar, people inbetween them and the woman. They order a shot of vodka like last time, keeping their head down to mostly listen to what the woman is saying... though they already have a pretty good idea of what's going on.

The conversation between the woman and the drunk has turned to more intimate murmurs, her hand on his arm as he finishes the last of his whiskey. A look exchanged between the pair and she's tugging his arm and the drunk is following like a well trained puppy on a lead. Out the door!

<OOC> Azel says, "Which door?"
<OOC> Tillie says, "The front door."
<OOC> Azel says, "Mkay, Azel is gonna go out the back, turn Obfu back on, and climb up the building--I'll need to make a climbing roll, yes? Strength or dex?"
<OOC> Azel says, "Unless there's a fire escape or something"
<OOC> Tillie says, "there's a fire escape"

Yes, Azel very much knows where this is going. So after the woman leaves, Azel waits a few seconds before walking out the back door. After placing the veil of secrecy back over themselves, they walk up the fire escape to get back to the roof... and watch for the woman and her mark she's gotten to go out with her.

The woman and her mark stumble their way to the drunk's car, hands going all over each other until she jingles his keys out his pocket. "You're gonna //loooooove// my place!" Which is met with a bit of a whine about protest on why they need to leave, but into the car they pile but not before she takes her phone out of her shirt and fires off a quick text and then off she peels out, tires screeching. As the text is sent, the dude in the back's phone buzzes and after another minute or two, he revs his bike up as well.

Seeing them about to take off, Azel takes a running start off the roof and takes flight, fit to circle around and follow that car to wherever it goes.

The car goes predictably right for the freeway, heading North and out of town. The motorcycle weaving through traffic quickly catches up to be following about three cars behind.

"As the crow flies," distances mean a lot less than when dealing with the transportation infrastructure below. Azel stays far overhead the vehicle, keeping an eye on it all the while... seeing where their final destination shall be.

It's about an hour of driving, slowed down with a minor fender bender blocking a lane, before the car pulls off somewhere north of La Jolla and heading to a maze of sideroads.

<OOC> Azel says, "So what kind of land is it around here?"
<OOC> Tillie says, "they're going a ways out into the County."

Azel flies at a lower altitude as they seemingly start to come to their destination. Quite the ways they travel from that dive to come out here... for what end? The gargoyle will stay up into the air until they come to a stop, and when they do, pick the closest roof to land down upon to watch them even more closely.

What end? Privacy! which... isn't so private when one has a gargoyle on their tail. The side roads turn into country roads and eventually a long winding private road through lightly treed lot with a couple of 'manufactured' homes placed on it which is basically just the fancy latest marketing phrase for doublewide trailers.

<OOC> Azel says, "Ah okay, that's what I was asking with the type of land!"
<OOC> Tillie says, "you can find a tree. one of the few trees around capable of supporting Azel's weight"

Azel decides not to land on top of the "buildings" this time seeing as the giant stone monster on their roof would cause some disturbances at the least and impressions of their talons at the worst. Instead, they land on the ground somewhere around the perimeter and walk quietly towards it to have a good view of what goes on... and to take in the details of the general environment.

The car is hastily parked and the drunk and the woman pile out. Hands all over each other as she leads him into the trailer on the left. Dogs barking from the other. About ten minutes after they stumble into trailer, motorcycle dude pulls up. it's not quiet but he quickly kills the engine.

Azel isn't here to intervene, no, simply to watch... and if this man comes out the way Azel thinks they will, then they will have all the evidence they need about these new gang members. So they wait, watch, listen, coming around closer to that particular trailer so they can hear what goes on inside.

The man doesn't come out... or the woman. Eventually, the dude goes in the same trailer, taking his knife out as he does so. There's a little commotion and then there is not. A peek through the window shows the woman wrapping herself around the motorcycle dude as they fall into the bed. And morning is growing ever closer.

And so everything ended the way Azel expected of it. Once they've confirmed this, they waste no time in walking away, taking a running start, and picking up back into they sky, free from the sea of trees, to go prepare for the morning and the next night when they can relay their findings.
