Time for a Switch/Fangirling!
Energizer bunny on crack!
IC Date February 7, 2020
IC Time Early Morning
Players Vasily Kaiya Patti Brian
Location Sunset's View - Beach Cafe

The cafe was rather quiet this time of the year, only dedicated beach lovers were around due to the chilly air, though it was time for most hot drinks to be served. Comfortably at around half capacity, there was likely only one person waiting on the teller, though the whole shop seemed only to have two employees.

A little early in the morning, but Kaiya is up and seeking caffeine. She really wanted to catch the sunrise over the ocean, so ended up bundling up and grabbing a cappuccino at the local cafe and a table near the window so she can view the rising sun from the comfort and warmth of the cafe.

With the twilight giving way for dawn, a slight smile rests on Vasily's lips as he the large Russian stands outside for a few lingering moments, his eyes fixed on his phone. Looking up and reconfirming the location, he opens the door to the beach side cafe and made his way within, 'She should be inside..' is softly said, though his contact gave him a wide range of 'looks' to look out for, it wasn't helpful. Despite being close to where Kaiya sat, Vasily never noticed her outside of a passing glance. Within a minute though, Kaiya would get a blocked number texting her a message 'A Russian customer has arrived, the more curious finds people, he more he tips'.

A slow, deep breath... Kaiya closes her eyes as she takes a sip of the hot, sweet drink suffusing herself with warmth. A soft mm'ing sound rises from her, until her phone notification has her groaning and opening her eyes, reaching to pick up the gadget intruding into her momentary peace. The cappuccino is set aside as she uses her fingerprint to unlock her phone, her brow furrowing as she checks her text message. "Hmm... must be from one of my flyers I put out."

She lowers her phone, taking a look around the little cafe, her gaze coming to settle on a /very/ tall individual having just entered. She tilts her head, blonde hair falling over her shoulder as she studies the new arrival.

Shaking his head gently, the man slips his phone away into an inner pocket of his cardigan, tucking it close to his heart before moving over to the counter. "No.. Not a coffee, a tea. Slight sugar, not much but no milk or 'cream', just tea," is ordered though his word choice was questionable at times the noticable was his Russian accent, though those from the region might notice this pronunciation was more rural than more common English training. "Starting to feel like fall again, maybe I can feel Winter soon," is mused to himself as he waited for the tea to be prepared.

There's something curious about the man that holds Kaiya's attention. A brief glance back to her phone and the text message is all she spares before her gaze returns to the towering figure. "I guess that'd be a Russian accent. Can't say I've ever heard one - other than on tv - before..." She muses to herself, tilting her head the other way as she continues to just watch the man - trying to get a 'feel' for him.

Bowing his head slightly as his tea arrived and pulls out a black chipped card with a blue line struck from top to bottom and hands it over to be ran through the system. The pause would be slight extended, checking the account from a foreign national before appearing to be granted and returns the card to his pocket. 'Vee.. need to contact her, wonder if she can 'fix' things..' is softly said before walking away from the counter and approached the table Kaiya, motioning to the free seat. "Waiting for company or may I poach?" is asked with a slight smile in his lips though it appeared to be forced rather than honest enjoyment.

Kaiya's brow furrows slightly as she studies the man. Usually she can get a 'feeling' about somebody just by watching them for awhile, but she can't seem to get a read on this stranger. She doesn't look away, or even hide the fact that she was staring when he turns around and starts heading toward her table. She doesn't show surprise, but the look in her eyes reflects a bit of confusion. She hadn't even replied to the text message. If this was to be her client, how did he realize she was here.. and she was indeed the fortune teller from the flyers. She hadn't included a photo."

His voice shakes her from her internal musings and she sits up a bit straighter, motioning toward the empty seat. "I'm usually inclined toward company rather than sitting by myself... and meeting new people has always been a pleasure. Please, sit."

Bowing his head slightly, Vasily says "Thank you, hope you do not mind me being quiet. Still getting used to you Americans." The smile on his lips lessens as the large man settles in, even seated he was significant larger than his seating partner in height and likely twice her mass. For his part she would notice he didn't appear to recognize her at all.

Turning his head to the side, the man looked out the cafe's double layered windows that kept the internal temperature more regulated. "I wonder if the ice can ever reach this far.." is asked but no answered was expected, simply breaking the silence before taking a sip from his cut of dark, slightly sweetened tea.

A soft chuckle rises from her lips, amusement dancing in the depths of her blue-green eyes. "Hmm... and yet you chose to come and ask to sit at my table." There is a light tone to her voice, and she glances around the cafe to see the many empty tables. "I'm curious... not that I'm complaining... just wondering why you wanted to come sit here, rather than by yourself.. if you're so quiet?" She arches a brow, her head tilting slightly and causing those blonde locks to play across her shoulder.

"Simple, good view, warmth, listen to the dialect.." Shrugging his shoulders gently, Vasily doesn't appear to give himself much time to weave a lie nor to soften the words used. Turning his head slightly, his gaze settles onto her eyes as he asks, "Why accept if you did not want warmth or just to look at a Russian more closely?" Despite the final question, Vasily's expression was relatively solemn rather than teasing.

Kaiya doesn't seem to be adversely phased, taking the words in stride. "Curiosity.. company." The corners of her mouth tug into a growing smile. "I mean, you've admitted you're kind of quiet... so the company part might be a little lacking... but you're not hard on the eyes, so that's a bonus." She tucks her phone away inside her pocket, reaching for the still steaming cappuccino. "Though it would be nice if you talk more. I think accents are positively sexy."

"Hmm.." is sounded at first as his eyes drift away from Kaiya for a moment until she said the last word, causing his lips to curl slightly and his eyes to close. "No position to be supporting Cubs or looking for mates," is admitted freely but then silence held him as he took a other slow sip of the steaming brew. "Vasily. Vasily 'Vladimir Luka' Ivanov, herbalist and ivory carver," is offered as an introduction while extending his right hand towards her, palm up as if waiting to accept her hand. "No business cards, only private requests. Easier that way, yes?"

Kaiya's brows raise, a hint of confusion crossing her features briefly. "I'm not much into baseball... and.." She can't help but chuckle a little. ".. not looking to be anyone's mate." She covers her grin, taking a sip of her cappuccino. "I just state things as I see them. You're attractive.. have a sexy accent. It's a compliment, nothing more."

She nods at your introduction, glancing down at your extended hand. She sets her own cup down, reaching her much smaller right hand toward yours. "Kaiya, Kaiya Hunter, fortune teller extraordinaire." Instead of placing her hand in yours, she takes your larger in hand in both of hers, her gaze dropping to your palm. "You're a curious man, Mr. Ivanov." She murmurs, tracing her finger along the lines of your hand.

"Hmm.. Maybe different culture then, those words often used in.. 'valuing' a mate, much looser here," is said as his hand is taken in by a pair of smaller ones. "Ah, you were the contact? I was waiting for you to arrive, I came too late to be first." The relaxed tone in his voice doesn't last long under her investigation. "Be careful how deep you look, may not be pretty for someone struggling to 'wake up'." Parting his lips to flash Kaiya a grin, she would easily notice his teeth were wrong, not crooked but.. wrong. One too many incisors, slightly over developed canines that numbered in clutches of three not singles but this mouth wasn't only packed or jutted out, so likely missing molars though the teeth appeared impeccably cleaned and non artificial.

Kaiya's gaze is fixed intently, with a deep curiosity, on your palm. She absently hears and registers your words, and responds with a distracted tone to her voice. "The one from the text." She muses, drawing her finger from the heel of your hand along your life line. Her head tilts slightly to the side, narrowly keeping her hair out of her cappuccino. "That's what the coffee is for.. waking up." She murmurs, missing the smile.

"That coffee will not make you awake like me," is said with a bit of an amused tone seeping into his voice as he watched her study his hand even though she wasn't looking at it. "You are starting to make me wonder.." Tilting his head slightly, Vasily lowers his left hand down and into his pocket, once hidden, he curls a unseen claw against the center of his palm until blood trickled down. "I wonder just what you see here and now, will you share or keep it a secret?" is mused aloud.

Kaiya has a look of concentration on her face, her brows furrowing a bit. "Definitely unique." She murmurs, her tongue flicking across the surface of her lips. Her fingers find another line, tracing this one as well. A small smile tugs at the corners of her mouth. She scowls momentarily before releasing your hand and finally looking up at you. "So, you were looking for me, yes?"

A thought, maybe a few were expected, not a scattering of several which cause Vasily's amusement to die out due to confusion. Looking around slowly, the Russian appeared to try and see if others were tensely talking but found nothing, only one close enough to feel was the singular Kaiya..

Narrowing his focus, the Russian stays relatively still. "I am a Siberian in southern America, I think that is unique." When his hand was released, his hand lingers briefly before twisting around, attempting to curl his fingers around one of her hands to keep contact. "Now.. I saw a face, you were amused. Why?" As if to press the question, the large hand tenses, closing snuggly around hers before relaxing dramatically.

Having her hand caught surprises her a bit, but she appears to be a go with the flow type of person. "It's.." She pauses, her smile dimming slightly and her expression taking on a manner of someone who is working through a thought process. Her next words are somewhat halting. "Amused?" Another pause, but her smile returns to - perhaps - cover potential awkwardness. "Oh nothing." She gives a little shake of her head and her smile returns. "I'm sorry.." She murmurs softly, but doesn't seem to feel the need to explain herself.

She glances down at where your hand has finally relaxed, then back up to your face. Her smile grows and she makes an attempt to lightly squeeze your hand in return. "I'm not familiar with the Russian culture, but are you attempting to flirt with me?" She asks, a playful tone to her voice.

"No. Flirting without wanting to take you to bed wastes both our time," is answered with a growing smirk though his lips stay closed for then. Soon though, the hand that curled to stop her's fully opened freeing it if she wished though if the hand lingered his hand would close again to gently massage it.

"You did not answer, but I do not wish a scene.. Tell me, what is holding you back?" Tilting his head, his gaze lowers to her hands, "Did you see something you should not, a war or worse?" Not worried, Kaiya would hear the curiosity on his tone quite easily.

For a moment, there is a hint of disappointment that registers on her face, but she's quick to shake it off and the smile returns. When you loosen your grip on her hand, she slowly retrieves it. "You sure send mixed signals then." Her eyes light up, amusement dancing within them. "So, you're saying you don't want to take me to bed. Got it." She reaches for her cappuccino. "I thought I had answered. It was nothing." She rolls her shoulders in a non-committal shrug. "I was just noting your love line." She shakes her head, taking a sip of her drink.

Furling at brow slightly at the shouted word, Vasily managed to not lose his focus and kept his attention onto his drinking partner. Nodding his head gently at her comment about bedding. "As I said, cannot afford time for cubs.. hmm.. Children," the word being found that captured the idea in English caused a slight smile to appear on his lips. "You will make someone a joyed mate, it would not be healthy if it was me, no offense meant." Despite the clarity of this, his right hand was still open for her to take or rest in. "Those that could tolerate being my mate are very few, even fewer the Clan would approve. I may not find one in this life, or I failed to keep her alive.. not sure, but you could see that, yes?"

Kaiya's eyes light up with great amusement, laughter spilling from her lips. She has to be careful not to spill her drink and carefully sets it down. "You think.." She shakes her head, still /very/ amused. "You /do/ know, that not every time.." She pauses, her expression taking on somewhat of a zoned out look.

She blinks, her eyes refocusing on you. ".. you know a girl doesn't always get pregnant every time she has sex. It has to be the right time.. and the conditions of her body have to be just right. Besides, did you know how hostile the woman's body is to the male's seed? It's amazing women get pregnant at all."

She shakes her head again. "A little offense taken, but I'll survive... and no.. I have no desire to become someone's... mate, as you put it. I don't need to be tied down." Your words have her blinking and staring across the table at you, though her gaze soon takes on that trancelike state of zoning out again.

It was Vasily's turn to chuckle softly, "You Americans and weak European have issues with breeding, we never have," is said with a matter of pride. With his hand not filled, he turns it over and lightly taps at the table before drawing shapes as he spoke. "Elders of each council mastered the knowledge, keeping it taught to each generation," the lesson began..

Before long, the large Russian taps the middle of his chest, "My Mentor taught me to 'wake up' and the Elders taught me more of the rites and the herbs." Moving his pointed finger towards Kaiya, a toothy grin flashes for a moment as he tries to contain a chuckle, listening to her inner conflict as if sisters bickering, "So the night of the bond always seeds a child, but it will ripple if it would be too weak to form whole."

Taking a monent to listen again, Vasily nods his head gently and lifts the drawing hand, "Call it part of the old ways, but you should only breed with mates, cubs are too taxing to raise without another to take shifts." Despite the awkwardness of the topic, Vasily didn't appear shy at all, nore a hint of embarrassment from the logic of a man in his thirties.

To her credit, Kaiya really DOES try to listen. "Are you trying to teach me about your culture?" She shakes her head, lifting her hands to rub her temples as if trying to push back a headache. Her mind seems a little busy right now and it's taking a toll on her. She closes her eyes, taking a few, slow, deep breaths.. exhaling equally slowly. Her tongue flicks across the surface of her lips as she tries to get things to settle.

"It seems like you're trying to impart some sage wisdom or something, but I have no clue what you're talking about." She lifts her head, combing her fingers through her hair and giving a light tug to their thick strands. "I get it that you're saving yourself for that someone special, and I won't push." She lifts a shoulder in a half shrug. "Not saying I'm not disappointed... besides, you only have one life to live and I'm determined to live it to the fullest. I have no intention on missing out on something and regreting it, just because I was worried about getting pregnant. There are ways to avoid it.. and methods to prevent pregnancy." She lifts a shoulder in a half shrug. "True, I prefer NOT to use traditional medicine if I can help it, but I still have a lot to learn about the more natural medicines and what not."

Vasily and Kaiya were sharing a table close to a large, double layered window, keeping much of the outside chill at bay.

"No, not someone special, someone to tolerate," is corrected at first. Moving his hand forwards, Vasily points toward her stomach and then at the table that hides a but lower. "I was telling you, it isn't a 'chance' if you have knowledge, they taught me that knowledge.. Simple enough?" As he tries to explain himself again, this time he spoke a little slower and his eyes stayed on her's, trying to see if this would sate the conflicting thoughts.

The final comment about medicine, a toothy grin spreads as he chuckles steadily at the joke. "You say that to an herbalist? Makes me wonder if they told me you to trade favors, not rubles."

Brian is that guy. You know. That tall hippy robe wearing long haired guy that has the wood shop on the south beach and talks about how the pieces just speak to him. He walks the beach fairly often. Just walking. Barefoot in the sand. Looking at the ocean as if he's lost something. But occasionally, he stops in for lunch. Food is food, right?

Kaiya gives Vasily an odd look, her brow arching someone as he points to her stomach, then lower. A brief chuckle rises, but then she gets that far away look in her eyes briefly before refocusing. She clears her throat. "Sorry, what was that again?" Her expression conveys, she REALLY didn't catch what you just said.

This time both brows raise. "Wait, are you into the whole holistic scene?" She shakes her head. "Were you pointed toward me from one of my flyers or something?" She furrows her brows, looking a bit confused.

The burly Russian sitting across from the short woman doesn't appear to either notice that a different young woman was now having a lingering gaze on him. Vasily's own focus was distinctly on his seating partner. Drawing out his left hand, there was a fresh slice along the underside of his knuckles and places both of his hands out for inspection.

"You are distracted, please.. take my hands and let is center, calm.." With his fingers unfurled, Vasily simply waits for several moments in the pose as he spoke. "A 'friend of mine' told me about there was someone I should meet. So I came.. Now, miss fortune teller, what did I say my.. my.." When his voice repeated, his Russian accent thickened, murmuring incoherently in the native tongue before saying, "'Profession'?"

Brian makes his way to the counter for his order. Fresh fruit. A smoothie. These are his favorite things. It's only when he turns and nearly steps through Patti that he is brought back to the present with a nimble side step that's almost a dance. "Pardon me. I did not see you there. Please. Allow me to pay for your meal." Apparently, apologies mean something to this fellow.

Kaiya looks down at the outstretched hands, but is much more easily distracted. Especially when an energetic young woman enters. In fact, the moment she sees her, she somehow manages to miss the towering man entering just after her. Her gaze fixes on the woman, distinctly STARING at her for several long seconds. In fact, if Vasily wants her attention back he'll likely have to reach out and touch her himself.

Patti grins and waves at the other woman looks her way. And ... um ... keeps looking. Checking. Nope. Bikini didn't slip out of place. Whew! Hair? Seems OK. Um ... With a slightly nervous giggle she waves. "Hi." Just as eloquent as you dreamed she was. Before she can say anything else she gets an unexpected near miss. "Oh!" The blond giggles and pats herself down. "Whew! Nice moves! I think I'm all good." You paged Brian with 'She is seriously sending off intense vibes though. Six year old Ronnie is super fan girling right now.'

Unlike Kaiya, Vasily focuses on one curiosity at a time despite her eyes staring back at an observer. Moving his hands out, he hooks his pinkies first under her wrists, then his other fingers follow but his thumbs try to curl around her wrist to rest as if he was going to check her pulse if he used pressure.

"Focus, focus.." Tilting his head slightly, he listens as Patti speaks up only to then get distracted by Brian almost steps on the poor nervous girl. Opening his mouth to speak, the Russian kept quiet, hardly speaking above a whisper, "You're in no danger.. no need to be on guard. It is safe, they make sure of that.."

The touch seems to help Kaiya break the stare she had focused on Patti, but when she turns her attention back to Vasily her expression is strained. If he doesn't hold her wrists firmly, she pulls away, lifting her hands to rub her temples as she closes her eyes, murmuring softly to herself. "Come on Kaiya.. keep it together.. keep it together now.." She tries taking deep breaths, but her focus is so hindered it's nigh on impossible.

Patti peers up at the beverage of damocles hanging over her head. At least until Brian moves. She grins at him. "I've had worse," she tells him in an amused tone. She does keep glancing at the pair as if trying to figure out what's really going on over there.

The more Kaiya began to stand out and draw attention, the Russian trying to help her calm down, became clear.. Distinct scars along the side of his face and brow were seen, along with a many appearing to be healed gunshot injuries. Almost as soon as Kaiys whipped her hands away, Vasily folded his hands at the wrists and muttering to himself, but he doesn't go quiet. "Shh.. shh.." is softly sounded before in a hushed tone he whispers, 'Let her go Ronnie..' before simply sitting back slightly and looking from Kaiya and other towards Patti for the first time.. and then wonders when the gangly man appeared..

Kaiya squeezes her eyes shut tight, then stills for several seconds. When she looks up, her hands fall away and she has the most exuberant expression on her face. In a heartbeat she's up and out of her chair making a beeline for Patti. Imagine a two year old throwing themselves at a beloved parent to wrap their little arms around their leg. This is exactly what Kaiya looks like as she 'launches' herself at Patti in an attempt to embrace the other woman in a tight hug. "I can't believe it's you! I can't believe I'm getting to see you for reals! This is like a dream come true. You're that gymnist, right? I just knew you were. I would recognize you anywhere. You're my favorite. You're amazing. You're the absolute bestest!" The words fall from her lips in an excited ramble, a 'mile a minute'.

Brian is.. surprised. He arches a brow anyway. Sips his smoothie. His head turning slightly so he can watch the interaction between Patti and Kaiya as well as the burly fellow who's still seated, for the moment, at their old table. Patti watches the pair. What ever is happening is confusing. Until she gets greeting. The blond smiles at the woman draws close. She likes hugs and she likes being recognized! But, um, Kaiya is REALLY excited. The 'oh shit' expressions his her face a bit to late. She's hugged. Checking ... no damage done so she laughs and hugs back. "Yeah. That's me."

Vasily turns away and closes his eyes for a moment, centering himself once again. Using his left hand to grip his cooling tea, the large Russian couldn't help but chuckle softly, hearing a unspoken joke before silencing himself with his tea, letting the focus drift from him and towards the girls.

Kaiya doesn't seem to be ready to let go of Pattie anytime soon. Her arms are around the other woman's shoulders/neck and is squeezing as tightly as she can. "This is like the bestest moment of my entire life! Can I have your autograph? Will you teach me gymnastics? Wanna get some ice cream together?" She continues to ramble on like the energizer bunny. She /finally/ loosens her hold on the woman, if not already pried off. "Can we? Can we? Can we? Pleeeeeease?!"

Patti hugs back and hopes ... her ... air ... lasts .... The other woman lets go and she gasps a little bit. No harm done she giggles, while fixing her outfit and air. She stills looks a little taken aback. "Um sure." Not that she really looks like she's aware of what question she answered. Hopefully she didn't agree to give up her first born or something. "Wow." Once more she giggles. "And people say I have a lot of energy!" comes a more lucid reply once she's gather her wits about her, such as they are.

Brian is more watching Vasily now than he is the girls. The chuckle. The tea. He smiles faintly as if some mental note has arrived then focuses his efforts upon the smoothie in his hand. Still, the energy being shared by the two is infectious and the faint smile turns to one of broader amusement.

The Russian would simply chuckle again softly as he sets down his tea but he doesn't seem to be paying much attention to the scene though, as most of the cafe was watching the audible bubbly moment, the fresh wound on Vasily's palm seals itself after a long while of being static and not bleeding. "Good.. good. It didn't waver too much." Slipping his right hand into his kimono style overshirt, he pulls out his phone, though the characters on the screen weren't of the Latin alphabet, but the Russian alphabet as he sent off a message. "She will be amused.. I need to know more though.."

Kaiya lets out another high pitched squeal. "EEEEEEEE!!! This is SO the best day of my entire life!" She looks around, looking for anything she can get her hands on that Patti can sign for her. She bounds over to where Brian is sitting. "Please mister, can you give me some paper and pencil so I can get her autograph? I would love you for the rest of my life if you would. Pretty pretty pleeeeease?"

Brian is approached by high energy psychotic. This does not happen as often as one might think given his appearance. Straightening in his chair even before she turns to head his way, he does indeed seem to have a notebook and a pencil which he produces from inside a fold in his attire. "Certainly." For all his inner alarm, he maintains his zen as he offers them over to the girl. "But. I require at least your name. And hers.. since I appear remiss in not knowing whom that is. Could you acquire one for myself as well?"

Patti giggles. She can't help it. She's gettting almost as excited as Kaiya is! No one's ever asked for her autograph before. "Patti!" She quickly replies as she draws close to the tall guy. She taps Kaiya. "Maybe your boyfriend," one hand motions to Vasily, " can get a picture of us too?" she asks with a growing grin on her lips.

Kaiya's face goes through a quick change of emotions. Immediate remorse, her smile fading and face darkening slightly. "Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm Ronnie.. and that's my idol, PATTIE OLIVER... the famous gymnastics girl." Her expression brightens again, holding her hands out for the notebook and pencil. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" Her smile is huge as she spins on her heel and bounds right back to Patti, holding out the notebook and pencil, looking super hopeful. "And ice cream after, right?" The mention of a boyfriend has the young woman's expression becoming rather puzzled. "I don't have no boyfriend. I'm too young." She giggles, but looks around, eyes wide. "Ooh.. yes. I want a picture. I think.." She looks down at the jacket she's wearing, her hands patting and digging around. "Phone.. phone..." She pulls the cellphone out of her pocket, then looks at it, puzzled.

Brian watches the whole affair with some amusement. In fact, he has to cover his mouth to hide the smile because.. well.. it's rude. At least he thinks it is. Then he's sipping his smoothie again then squinting as he gives himself something of a cold headache for sucking it down too quickly. Patti watches Kaiya and giggles. "Yeah I don't really get those things either," she admits with a laugh. Taking the papers she writes 'to my #1 fan Ronnie'. She then signs with a flourish and hands over the paper. "You want one too?" This is asked to bring but she looks amused, not expecting him to accept.

Kaiya looks up and around, her brow furrowing slightly, before she looks back to the phone and swipes left. Her whole face lights up and she nearly drops her phone in her enthusiasm. She darts across the floor to the table where Vasily is sitting, thrusting the phone at him. "Take our picture... pleeeeease!" Her voice goes up a little at the end, dropping the phone expecting him to take it as she turns quick on her heel and darts back to Patti... just in time to take the autograph. After which, she immediately hugs the other woman with all her might. "Thank you thank you thank you thank you!" She says in rapid fire. "Picture now!" She tugs Patti over toward Vasily, completely forgetting in the moment it's important to return the notebook and pencil to the poor man who let her borrow it.

At the mention of a 'boyfriend' Vasily arches a brow slightly as he listens more attentively to but then he began to chuckle softly at the response of her 'age'. Gently shaking his head, he was content to listen until the woman practically appeared beside him, unexpectedly. "Chto eto?" is asked without thinking before stopping and taking the phone from Kaiya but soon began to smile and nods, but before he could say yes, she was already away from him. Lifting up the phone, Vasily did lift the phone after examining it a few moments. At the mention of 'Picture' he taps the screen taking a photo without the flash at first. Seeing as tit was purely digital, he begins to turn the flash on before taking another photo. "Prepare," is all he said, not 'cheese' before taking several photos if the pair stayed still or posed.

Brian apparently doesn't get to answer the question. Instead, he gives a helpless and amused shrug in Patti's direction because hey.. IT'S PICTURE TIME. Ahem. Besides, he has to chew on fruit to warm the soft palate in his mouth and ease the brain freeze. Silly man. "Ahh. Just Brian. Thank you." He does at least give his name to Patti. Now if he ends up with an autograph.. or even his notepad back.. he doesn't seem too put out about it. Patti hands over the autograph with a proud smile and she hugs back. Not as hard as the other woman though. "You're welcome! It's nice ... WHOA!" And she's being pulled away. After another giggle she adjust her hair and her outfit after being pulled away so quickly. Everything is in place, near as she can tell, so she puts an arm around the other girl and smiles. "Cheese!" There. She helps Vasily out and does it for him.

Kaiya's face is all alight, Brian entirely forgotten - at least for the moment. In preparation for the picture, she stands beside Patti, then turns sideways and wraps her arms around the other woman while keeping her face turned to Vasily and the phone. "Cheeeeeese!" She says with a huge grin on her face.

Not seeming to fully understand why they said 'Cheese' but it was a pose, and a childish one at that before tapping the phone again, triggering the refocusing with Patti as the center piece before flashing. The photo was just the beginning, another realigned and flashed, focusing onto Kaiya, then a third trying to let the phone smart alignment before letting it auto snap the shot for him. "That was three, going to start a dance next? Little cold for lessons outside though," is offered as a slight way out for the kidnapped Patti.

Kaiya lets out another delighted squeal, letting go of Patti so she can retrieve her phone, trying to view the pictures. "Help..." She holds it out to Vasily, her brows knitting. "I wanna see 'em." She shakes the phone in his direction.

Then with the quick flip of a mental switch - think UP and the dog when is spotted a squirrel - she turns her head, suddenly remembering she borrowed the notebook and pencil. The treasured autograph was quickly tucked into the jacket's inside pocket and she returns to Patti for the notebook and pencil. "I need ta give it back." If she's given them quickly, she makes a beeline for Brian, holding them out. "Thank you mister. You're the bestest... and I promised.." Her whole face lights up. ".. ta love ya forever." She pauses. "Will you buy us ice cream?"

Brian isn't quite sure how to respond to it all except to take back his notepad and pencil, tucking them away. "Ahh.. certainly." He looks to Patti with a raised brow of bemusement then slips off of his stool onto his feet and takes the few strides his long legs need to get him back in line. There's a glance Vasily's way but.. for now.. he's in the ice cream line. "Any particular flavors for anyone?"

Patti grins at Vasily and his dance comment. So she does a little dance for him. Just for a moment then she laughs. And that's all the time it takes for Kaiya to zoom away. Bemused she looks around the room to see what she's missed.

While he didn't know much about phones, but after just having it for a few moments longer, Vasily makes the photo centering on both of them as Kaiya's wallpaper. "Let your friend show you how to change it from this one." Offering her a slight smile, Vasily stands up, causing the young woman to truly seem like a child with him standing as he was roughly thirteen inches taller than her at this point. "You two should be nice, but.. inside voices, you were loud for a while," is said with a slight smirk though talking to a grown woman in that tone on it's own made the Russian stand out once again, despite his best efforts to blend into the background.

"Strawberry, of course." Kaiya says, as if any other flavor would just be ridiculous, but as Brian stands, "Oh.. MY... GOD!" Her eyes grow wide as saucers as she realizes he's towering over her... but for some reason, she doesn't seem afraid. "You're a giant!" She says in almost whispered awe.

It seems almost impossible for her to tear her gaze away from him, until Vasily's voice catches her attention, and she's quick to grab Patti's hand. "So many big people..."

Patti making a zipping motion over her lips at the admonishment. And then laughs almost immediatly. She coos as Vasily stands and reaches to give his arm a squeeze. "Lots of big people yeah!" She giggles once more. "Raincheck?" She says off the ice cream. "I need to get to practice." Grabbing a napkin off the table Vasily shared with Kaiya she writes her phone number. "But call me some time!"

Tilting his head off to one side as Kaiya's new side for the first time saw just how large Vasily was. Lifting his right hand, he gently pats the top of her head as he softly smiles, "Shhh... You are making a scene, now thank the surfer and.." Turning his head, he noticed Patti grasping at his arm briefly, there was almost no give in the muscle, they were firm, but not excessively so despite not being bulky. "That one wiggled out of here faster than I thought.." Returning back towards Kaiya, Vasily begins to guide her over towards where Brian was in line, not seeming to notice the number that had been placed at the table.

A cute pout forms on the young woman's face, especially when she's patted on the head. She bats at his hand, running her fingers through her hair. "Stop it.." She whines a little. Seeing the napkin with the number of her idol being set on the table, she wriggles away from Vasily and immediately makes a dash for it. "Mine!" She's not paying an ounce of attention to the giants anymore, intent on getting the prize and getting away with it. She hugs the napkin close to her chest and makes a dash for the door, running out onto the boardwalk - unless someone tries to stop her.
