Today, Brooke is taking her shift as a Patrol Leader. Just a small group today, and a very routine route. Perfect for a cub to go on. It seems that there was a need on another area, so it will just be Brooke and Tessa. Once Tessa has arrived, Brooke stands at the ready. Still in Homid she will tell the cub, "Good Afternoon! I am Brooke Farman, rited Hushed Blaze, Athro Galliard Glass Walker born on two legs, packed with Zephyr's Hand. We are doing a shorter route today, more so to give you your first taste of it here, and see what your strengths and weaknesses are so we can work on those. I'm happy to help you learn anything I can. Now, I like to patrol in Lupus as it gives the best sense of smell. That is, to me, most necessary for going on patrol. Everyone has a favorite that they like, but I'd prefer for our first time here that you will join me in that form." She tries to be friendly and approachable, as much as the Glass Walker can manage.

"Hello. I'm Contessa Valentinova. Cub of the Silver Fang. Born on two legs under the New moon." she replies in introduction, "Thank you for taking me with you Hushed Blaze-rhya. I am always interested to learn more and attempt to be useful since everyone has been taking care of me." She smiles and admits, "I fear I have more weakness than strengths at the moment, but we will see." She nods when you mention you wish for her to change her form, "Whatever you need."

Brooke hmms, "Shortest Silver Fang introduction I have ever heard. Well, it is a pleasure to meet you, and work with you today. Follow along with me, do not stray from the path unless ordered to do so. I'll show you around a bit." And with that, she flows down into Lupus seamlessly. A swirl of dust and fur flies, the sounds of bones and muscles breaking and changing - and with a small cry, Brooke is no more, and Hushed Blaze has appeared.

Tessa smirks a little at the shortness of the title, "Somehow I get the feeling that won't last long enough." she admits and sighs. She takes a deep breath and she concentrates. She does make a soft grunt and whimper as she starts to change her form, but eventually she manages to take the form of the white wolf, tiny flecks of silver at the tips of some of her fur.

Hushed Blaze pads forward and begins to lead the way. They leave the Caern and go to the Bawn. She chuffs along the way in lupine >> We are going to go check out an old building that has had some issues in the past, and is abandoned now. We are keeping an eye on it, in case the Wyrm finds its way in again. It seems some of the high schoolers in the area think it is haunted and keep coming back over night and leaving items that are very attractive. << She points out a few highlights of the area along the way.

She follows after, still getting the hang of things. She understands you of course, but doesn't respond just yet. There is a hint of amusement in her eyes at the idea of the teenagers. Maybe her years as homeless has seen similar behaviors. Finally she does respond >> Kids. <<

Hushed Blaze trots along quietly now, they are approaching the property. A broken fence lays in ruin, not that there was much there before. At that borderline she pauses and begins to search it out. >> We go around the perimeter first. Then we will go inside. << She noses to follow as she plans a clockwise route.

Still following after you, she lets you lead and she makes her way. She is very watchful of things around you. She might not be learned yet, but she gets the ideas fast. A perimeter search makes sense so at least she doesn't have to ask you about that. She tests the air thoughtfully.

Hushed Blaze is busy sniffing the ground, and looking ahead. She stops, >> Did you hear something?" << This is why they do not do this alone.

She turns her gaze towards something, eyes narrowing and she mutters softly, >> Something in the leaves over there. << Her voice is quiet as she can make it, but her eyes never leave the place she saw, not wanting to miss if something else moves.

Hushed Blaze turns her head, and watches. >> Yes, I see. Let's watch it another moment, and if it continues, we need to get in there. << Her discerning eyes watch the area, and sure enough it moves some more. >> Could be an animal. Could be worse. We have the advantage still. I'm going to try something. << With that she concentrates a moment, and then another Hushed Blaze appears, padding out from behind the house and walks over toward the rustling.

As this 'echo' of her gets closer, there is suddenly a LOUD SOUND! Raising up off the ground, various pieces of metals are combining and raising up high! 10 feet tall it stands, like some sort of junkyard transformer! Towering over the lupus echo of Hushed Blaze! A beam crashes down, shattering that echo, as it disappears.

>> PREPARE TO FIGHT! TAKE THE FLANK! << Hushed Blaze orders and shifts up to Hispo.

Tessa moves in fast as she can. She's at least good at that. She hits the thing at the back of its knees and tries to sink her fangs into the leg to hamstring it, but apparently she doesn't get enough of a purchase with them, still, body hitting knees should count for something. At least she made it in.

Hushed Blaze explodes out from where they were at the perimeter, head first toward this thing. Her teeth sink right into this... junkyard mess of a monster, and rips a hunk from the middle out of it. This thing is not long for this world, as the ferocious Hispo form of Hushed Blaze does its worst.

Tessa gets down to the business, biting down this time and bracing for a hard rip, trying to remove the muscle that may or may not be there. There is a little yelp of shock as the thing vanishes into a crumpled mess at the attack and she scrambles to get her feet and look around again, >> What the? <<

Hushed Blaze pounces on the thing, and begins ripping parts further away from each other. After a bit she chuffs >> It was just starting to come together. I will get another group to come and just haul away these pieces, it is safe enough for now, but we need to cleanse the area first. Sometimes the Wyrm will just take whatever parts are around and try to make something to attack us with. <<

Following your lead, Tessa starts to rip the parts away from each other as well. She may be learning, but this is still some high ranking weird stuff. She drags a piece away and goes for another >> So this is what you are doing when you patrol. << she muses thoughtfully, >> Here I was thinking it was quiet. <<

Hushed Blaze growls a little as she moves a stubborn piece and then kicks it a bit. She moves away from it all and then shakes off her fur. A moment later, she shifts back to Homid. "I'll start the cleansing ritual, and you can join in and learn if you wish. Then we head back to the kinfolk house and each take a shower before heading home. I'll check in with the group to come clear things out from here more." She reaches behind her and a bag appears in her hand. Got to love dedicated talismans you can summon. It is her kit for cleansing, of course.

Tessa walks around the area once more and then it takes her a little time to get the shape shifted again. Soon she is Homid once more and she nods, "I'd like to learn yes. I've been to the kinfolk house too. I heard about the showers." she admits and when the kit appears from nowhere she raises her eyebrow and she comments, "That's a handy trick."

A swirl of dust and fur flies, the sounds of bones and muscles breaking and changing - and with a small cry, Hushed Blaze is gone, and Brooke has reappeared. Brooke grins, as she pulls out everything from the bag, preparing to start. "It is. It is a gift you can learn from the spirits after you reach Fostern. You can only have so many you can pull from, but it is so handy. No need to carry around every weapon. I have a couple of guns dedicated, my go bag for tech, my bag for rituals, and some fetishes. That way, I'm always prepared." She begins the ritual, spreading the purified water, and doing just as the Theurges have shown her. She directs Tessa to follow her motions, as she moves around this big pile of junk. No movement comes from it at all, as the Wyrm's hold on it is completely extinguished.

Tessa watches you and her eyes light up a little, "You can pull guns from thin air. That's exciting." she admits and watches as you start to get things underway. You indicate what to do and she does her best to emulate everything you want her to do. She picks things up fast at least.
