JD comes walking up the street with an ape and man following just behind. JD is barefoot in overalls with his cowboy hat. They pause just outside what JD would consider the boundary to their property.
Straight outta the planet of the apes, a large Silverback walks on all fours with the two men. It has a pump shotgun slung across its back and a heavy revolver holstered on one leg.
Eric follows JD, a smile on his face yet a serious look in his eyes for tonight might be an interesting one. Eric is not wearing his usual suit. No. He looks quite fitting into the pack with his overalls and working boots... Though the Kevlar vest is a bit off in this picture. A heavy pistol is holstered at his belt and a pump shotgun is casually slung over his shoulder.
The Spoke always seems to have a large number of Anarchs, bikers, muscle cars, even trucks parked around it - thirty, forty.. maybe even more individuals coming and going, roving around and listening to loud music and tending fire pits. Tonight, seems even more grand than before.. twice as many ruffians and there is also a fleet of street racing cars and even a helicopter here. Vultures flying around, and dogs sniffing the perimeter as though they were waiting for something or someone to arrive.
The pathway into the clearing is easy enough to navigate, and the caged dome inside is about forty feet in diameter, with steel plates all around it, like a thunderdome. It would be hard to see inside it, without pressing your face right against it. Inside hangs chains from the ceiling about halfway down.
JD walks towards the cage with a smile on his face, appearing to not have a care in the world. He looks about to see if he can spot his opponent.
Eric follows JD to the cage, standing a bit behind him whilst looking around and observing his surroundings and the people. He steals a glance to Roland at some point and then back to the cage.
The ape follows along, dark eyes looking over the crowd gathered. Entering Thunderdome with the two men.
JD sets two earthenware gallon jugs just outside the cage and looks around waiting for the show to get started.
Headlights flick on, and spot lights from on top of 18 wheelers, whirling around the area like it was a staged event. Music plays, and smoke starts to billow from beneath vehicles. Then a woman is seen standing atop of the dome, and motions her hands out to everyone around. "Welcome my lovelies.. he's, she's, it's and whatever is left. You all look delicious tonight." she speaks in a sinfully sweet tone and then she says, "Tonight's special event.. The challenger, from nowhere - defeated our very own Bastion and now challenges the Goblin Prince!"
The crowd roars, beating on car hoods and clapping their hands together, smashing bottles and generally making a great deal of noise in cheering. She lifts her black gloved hand and points towards JD with a smile, "Step on into my cage.." Then she raises her hands and says, "The challenged.. is Prince Goblin. You have seen his cruelty and watched those he has torn limb from limb. He has never been challenged. Tonight changes everything!"
Eric looks at the woman on top of the cage and stretches whilst looking at JD. "This is gonna be one hell of a show, will it not?" His voice sounds light though there's a hint of concern in it.
The Gorilla waits outside the cage by the earthenware jugs like a guard dog on steroids. Positioning himself above them, eyeing the crowd nearby.
Pursing her lips a bit, Mags stands there next to Eric....slightly behind him. Those brown eyes look around before she just nods slowly. Dressed in those tight black pants and cropped black shirt, show slowly pulls her hair up into a messy bun. "....I have a feeling...I'm going to see something scary....aren't I?"
JD smiles wide showing off his many missing teeth. As he crosses the threshold he shifts instantly into a bear. Though he shifted quickly last time there was a noticeable difference if one were the type to keep track of such things. A loud throaty roar is bellowed into the air as the grizzly takes his place in the arena.
Grizzly Bear transforms into a large grizzly bear.
Eric nods at Mag's question. "That might be very true indeed." He looks at her and gives a warm smile. "You will do alright Mags. I am sure of it." He then watches JD shift into another form and grins. "The man is quick in shifting alright..." He places a hand on Mag's shoulder to reassure her and turns to watch the crowds again.
Seemingly out of nowhere, inside the dome appears the Goblin Prince. He looks a bit more sinister than normal:
The Nosferatu grins toothily when he sees the Grizzly Bear walking into the cage and starting to transform. He hunches down, and the sounds of his body snapping and peeling begin - a sickly greenish-gray chitin overtaking his form as he grows larger and his hands extend into black nails and his already hideous face becomes somehow -more- monstrous than it was before. A row of barbed spines curl out from his back, and the thick putrid hide of its body festers faster - boils exploding and a dark greasy substance starts to coat its flesh as the horrifying monster looks like something more out of an Alien movie now.
On top of the dome, the sinful vixen nearly squeals with delight and points for the doors to be closed behind them. "May the meanest, baddest mother fucker by the victor." she reaches up her hand and blows a kiss to start the fight.
Mags holds that gun that JD had handed her but tucks it into the front of her pants. Yup. That's a safe spot. Shifting her weight she looks to Eric and then grins a bit. "I...I see...." Brown eyes go wide as she then looks to JD changing. It always seems to amaze her.
The Grizzly growls and hunches back preparing to lunge.
The ape turns so he can see the fight through the cage while still guarding the earthenware jugs. Pounding his chest as the fight is about to start between the two giants of their kind.
Eric looks back at the cage as something is happening. He then sees this Goblin prince for the first time and nods slowly, taking in JD's opponent. Then he too starts to... Transform. "Owwh.. What the fuck.... That is nasty." He shakes his head and tries to keep himself focused on both the fight because.. Well.. He does not want to miss this one. And the crowds. To spot anyone trying to intervene.
The grizzly launches himself at the beast before him so fast the eye can't follow the movement. Faster than a blink the Grizzly has crossed the cage and is swiping his large vicious claws. But goblin seems to be quicker than the average Kindred and evades the blow with ease. The two squaring off once more.
The Zulo Goblin has seen the bear's methods before, hissing at the approach it lifts his clawed hands up towards the chains and pulls itself easily off the ground and into the air to dodge away. A chitter of many rows and fangs proceed as the head coils backwards around behind it to watch.
The Zulo Goblin is predatory and alien, moving along those chains and contorting its body and twisting it. It waits till you are close enough, and then its black nailed hands reach up and grab its jaw, yanking it open a few feet as over-sized fangs like out of a comic book suddenly throw forward and the creature takes a massive bite out of the Grizzly Bear.
The Grizzly circles keeping the beast in his sight. Preparing to lash out. He ignores the vicious wound. The Grizzly turns and prepares to take a swipe but with both of them moving so fast he loses track for just an instant when the jaws come sinking down from behind. And the lights go out.
Excitement fills the ape as the conflict starts. It bangs on the cage and his chest in support of JD. What would be fierce grunts and howls are but facial expressions as no sound is emitted from the gorilla vocally. Its excitement is cut short as the Grizzly bear has a huge bite taken out of it by the monster. It stares hopeful through the cage to see if the bear retaliates. The wait is futile. The gorilla's heart sinks.
Before she could contemplate was happening.....it was over. Mags she would start to go pale as she moves her hand to Eric's arm. "....Eric....." Shaking, her voice breaks as she uses him to steady herself. "....Eric?!" Shaking his arm, tears start to roll down her face. Panic seems to encompass her as the smell of something like an electrical burn starts to emit around her but it fades just as quickly as it came.
Eric looks back at the fight just as the creature sinks its teeth into JD... Time seems to stop at that moment... His eyes widen at what he sees. The Goblin prince.. Kills JD.. The fight had barely started.. Yet it was already.. Over?... Eric can feel all strength leave him for a moment's notice. He did not see this one coming, not at all. "What... No..." He looks down at Mags as she pulls at him and quickly, ignoring the electrical sensation she emits, hugs her tightly against him. "Sssht Mags... We lost this one.."
The horrifying Goblin Prince mashes on the body of the grizzly bear, consuming him much like a snake would, swallowing him whole. The crowd roars, clamoring and banging on the side of the cage and guns start firing off.
The woman on the top of the dome hisses out, with a whistle, "Oooh! Nasty. Ohh, gross, he's eating him.." she lifts her hand to shield her eyes in disgust while it takes place.
Eric just gasps at the sight he sees now, pressing Mags against him, trying to shield her from the view. He looks up at Roland. "Roland... I think we should leave now. We.... We lost this one."
Mags just clings to him as she starts to cry against him. "Eric!" Shaking she just stares in horror as she looks to the sight before her. It takes everything in her to keep from screaming then. Those fists tightens against his shirt as she just seems in shock.
JDs bracelet clatters to the ground as he turns to ash, It seems just close enough that the ape thinks he might be able to snatch it.
Eric drops the shotgun from his hand to hang on its sling and puts his now free hand on Mags's head. "Be strong Mags... Be strong.." It takes all of Eric's will to keep his composure. The fight had been a fair one. No rules had been broken... They just... Lost this one.. He looks at the bracelet and then to Roland. "Please Roland.."
The gorilla reaches through the cage to grab the bracelet tossed aside. Pushing it to Eric, he lifts the jugs with his other hand and looks to leave, disheartened.
