IC Date December 24, 2017
IC Time After Dark
Players Sergei(ST), Halona, Dragomir, Brooke, Iris, Jake Miller, Connor, Hyo-Sonn, Terminal Velocity
Location A not so abandoned air strip in the desert.
Prp/Tp Project- Black Helix Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6
Spheres Gaian Garou and Fera

Titan howls through the evening sky as the group makes its approach and Howling-Wind shares his plan >>There are motion sensors around the border of the airstrip along with proximity mines. Locations on all of them are flagged thanks to Hushed Blaze and Mercy's Messenger. Like-the-Wind and I followed the physical patrols around for a few hours and they all follow fairly predictable patterns. What we need to do first is for four teams of two to each accquire and trail one of the patrols. Then enemy walks the boundry in similar four man teams. Once everyone is in position we'll want to take them out as close to the same time as possible.<<

Like the Wind has camouflaged herself. That's not an ungodly amount of snow in her fur from rolling around in it now that the weather has finally turned decent for once. On the other hand, she is really well blending into the landscape in Hispo, silent and watchful, ready for orders.

The Silvery White Dire-wolf, also more commonly known as Dragomir or Eye of the Storm pads along beside Howling-Wind and offers over the mental link <<Alright, we have a small window of opportunity to strike. Howling-Wind is in charge for the strike, we follow his lead. The objective is rescuing the cubs. Be warned, they may be using silver bullets. We use the storm as cover, disrupt their security and strike fast and hard. We take out the perimeter patrols first, and then we infiltrate the facility. If we get overwhelmed, we withdraw back to this point. Everyone understand?>>

Hushed Blaze has not camouflaged herself, save for a small pack bound to her with equipment for later. She stands at the ready, and listens for her alpha. <<Do you have it worked out who should team up with who, my alpha?>>

Who has bright red fur with blue whorls running through it in the middle of a snowstorm? This Fianna dire-wolf right here. The Fianna were known for their size of their hispo and Connor, now Shining-Walker was no different. He can move quietly enough but his fur wasn't meant for hiding.

Hyo pads through the snow behind the wolves, keeping her ears flattened and her head tilted down to brace herself for the brunt of the snowy winds of the storm. She's made sure that the bright red-orange colors of her coat has been subdued by rolling around in the snow as well, making big white muddy clumps of it stick in it that helps to hide her outline a bit better. Her green eyes drift between the others, the fox silent and attentive for now.

Iris, AKA Mercy's Messenger, sides on up to Hushed Blaze, trying hard not to shake off the snow so her dark coat can get a little camouflage. She's trying very hard not to look nervous, but, yeah, she kinda is. She bobs her head in the affirmative to the question from Dragomir, but awaits any pairing assignments that might come up.

Jake has arrived with the others, his expression taut and grim. This is damn serious business and his usual relaxed air has disappeared. This is warrior Jake now, and you do not want to fuck with warrior Jake. He's not in charge here at the moment though. He's taken a back seat to observe what Terminal Velocity can do and act as backup IF needed. As Dragomir speaks to the group he touches his forehead and begins to shift into his massive war form. GRRRRRRR. He takes a few steps back from the others and his body ripples, dark fur turning into what appears to be liquid silver. Soon the transformation is complete and the Ahroun is totally silver, the color blending quite nicely with the snowstorm, rendering him much harder to see. After another moment he's linked psychically with Dragomir who will act as his conduit to Terminal Velocity's 'pack chat'. Looks like he's ready to rock and roll.

Silvery White Wolf considers the situation, and those present. <<We are going to need more punch power not to alert the security..>> he looks towards Defiant-Storm and asks, >>If you'll join us.. take Hyo with you to take out one of the patrols.<< then he turns and looks, >>Shining-Walker and Mercy's Messenger, there's banes in the area, keep an eye out just in case. Hushed Blaze and Howling Wind together, your primary objective will be getting us through doors and past security. Like the Wind with me, we will make sure the cubs get to safety.<<

Iris bobs her head again and slinks on over to Fuzzy McRedcoat. She gives the guy a quiet greeting and a quick introduction, <<Hi there, nice to meet you. Iris, Mercy's Messenger, Black Fury Cliath Theurge. Honored to be beating some ass with you, sir.>>

Like the Wind slips over to drop into flank with her Alpha. Ready, frosty and able.

Shining-Walker nods his head back over to Iris <<Connor, Shining-Walker, lots of other titles to go with that, short and sweet. Athro Druid of the Fianna. Let's murder some bad guys.>>

Serene in Silence, or Hyo, lets her over drift over onto Defiant Storm and pads her way over to stand beside of him. She dips her head and bows it respectively, attempting to link her mind to his so that she may say, <<Hyo, Serene in Silence, I will do my best to run alongside of you my brother of Gaia.

Silvery White Wolf adds over the link, <<Each group finds and eliminates their patrol simultaneously. Then we split up once we've breached and tackle our respective duties. Any questions before we go?>>

Defiant-Storm nods to Dragomir, his silvery expression unreadable, jaw set tight. He gestures to Hyo and nods. <<Stay close.>> Seems Jake's a man of few words when he's in his war form.

Howling-Wind sidles up to Hushed Blaze and gives her a toothy grin >>Much better to be fighting together than fighting eachother. When we find them our Alpha will call out the moment to strike since he's the one that everyone can hear.<<

Hushed Blaze grins back to Howling-Wind. <<Yes, much better together. Let's get this done.>> She is ready, wolfy, and able. <<On your call, Alpha.>>

Iris would offer Connor a high five, but he'll just have to settle for a high snoot poke instead. And since he's bigger and older and wiser and all that, he gets to lead!

Emitted to UMBRA: Those observing the umbra can see that there's a bit of a three way war going on already. Pattern spiders attracted to the science facility fighting with the banes attracted to the wyrmies and spirits carried in by the dark magic of the Titan storm attacking anything they can catch. The Umbra down in the facility is not at all safe.

The assigned teams glide through the night and the snow, tracking the snow covered human guards with their machine guns and bullet proof vests. A few members of the party almost get caught but no one actually does. Eventually each team reports on target.....

Silvery White Wolf creeps forward through the snow, waiting to hear everyone on their mark. Over the link he offers, <<Get ready Warriors.. once we strike, we must take down targets instantly. If they alert they are being attacked, we will have failed before we ever begun. Gaia be with you all. On my mark.>> The Silvery White Dire-wolf is virtually invisible in the snow.

A human guard moves along his assigned route. Passing a snowdrift...

that opens her eyes when the Human passes. Like the wind watches her prey, listening to the thoughts of her pack ready to destroy that human in the perfect distance.

Defiant-Storm targets his patrol and moves quietly, glancing over at Serene in Silence to make sure she's sticking close. As he approaches the guards he slowly starts to hunker down, silver muscles knotting and tensing as he readies to spring at Drago's command.

Howling-Wind is born and bred for killing in the winter. His eyes open as well, barely visible in the ice and night as he waits for his Alpha's call.

Serene in Silence dips her head down slightly to Defiant Storm, acknowledging the short and simple order from the silver-furred wolf. She lets him take the lead and follows along in his wake, keeping her nose and snout low to the ground while she sniffs out the unfamiliar scents around her. It does not take her too long to pick up one of a human, and she relays the directions to Defiant Storm through their shared thoughts. She creeps along in his wake and stays low to the ground, staring down the patrolling guards in their sights.

Hushed Blaze waits for the call with Howling-Wind. They are in position, and wait for the command. Although her red fur does not blend, she makes it work with the snow and being near Howling-Wind.

Trees, trees make really good things for a giant red wolf to hide behind. He lets the scent lead him along in the patrol's wake, waiting for the moment to strike

Iris scoots stealthily along with Shining-Walker, head lowered to pull in (frozen) scent trails through the storm until she can see the dark shapes of their chosen patrol up ahead. With a look to her impromptu packmate to check his readiness levels, she keeps on target till a signal sounds in her brainial meats that it's go time.

Silvery White Wolf waits for the right moment - the perfect moment and then he growls over the link, <<NOW!>> and lunges towards his target's throat with viscious intent to tear it out before the guard can relay back to the barracks of their attack.

Serene in Silence bares her teeth and lunges the moment that the attack call is made, leaping on the back of one of the guards so that she may hold on and bite down on his neck and throat. The bite is controlled in that there is only a little blood that trickles down the man's neck and despite the guard's brief writhing attempts to throw her off of him, she's able to down him on the ground and waits until he stops moving. She releases her jaws gingerly steps back with uncertainty. Serene in Silence looks over at Defiant-Storm sheepishly with her tail starting to nervously tuck between her legs.

Silvery White Wolf growls low as he takes out the throat of the guard, and then over the link <<Confirm your targets are down, and quickly bury your kills in the snow. Regroup on Howling-Wind, and get his instructions moving in. Stay mindful and watch for the mines and proximity traps.>> He moves to start quickly burying his kill. <<Hushed Blaze, grab one of their talkies, so we can monitor their communications.>>

Howling-Wind leaps into motion, literally leaving the ground as he shoots towards his target. Swelling into crinos form and impacting his knife in the back of the soldier's neck and levering his head clean off. The motion continues and he rides the body to the ground, shimmering back to hispo before more than a breath has passed.

Hushed Blaze hears the call of her Alpha and attacks with Howling-Wind on their Patrol. Teeth at the ready, she pounces and bites down ripping the guard to shreds...just shreds. <<Got mine Alpha. Grabbing the talkie.>> She checks for it and noses and paws it out.

There's no need to confirm Halona's kill. She lunges and literally rips the thing's throat out and lands atop him as he falls, teeth still sunk in deeply. She gives a mighty shake just to be certain and lets the torn out spinal cord fall from her mouth. <<Dead.>>

Shining-Walker pads around the tree and leaps, nothing more than a red blur as he uses his weight to crush the guard to the ground, his maw closes about the throat and a simple twist of his head would see the guard's neck snapped. He pads backwards dragging his kill back into the treeline

On Dragomir's word, Defiant-Storm springs forward, a blur of silver. His teeth find their mark, which just happens to be the soldiers throat, immediately cutting off his breath to stop him from screaming. Then: Blood. LOTS of blood. It spurts a good four feet into the air like a hotel fountain and splashes into the snow that leaves a stain that one could almost mistaken for a profile of Homer Simpson. Defiant-Storm then, silently, bites down harder separating the man's head from his body, both falling lifelessly into the snow with a soft *SWOOSH*. He then turns to check on Serene in Silence, nodding his approval then begins to cover up his kill.

Iris tries to time her launch with Connor to pounce on a dude. Bruising a spleen and removing a trachea. Ew. It's fast and furious like Vin Desel, but afterwards there's a moment, very brief mind you, where she does a little dry heaving and throws up just a little bit. Just a little bit! She buries that in the snow. Also ew. I mean yeah, she's a little bit of a pussy and all, but that guy's totally evil, that justifies killing him, surely. Surely. She also eats a little bit of snow to get the taste out of her mouth.

Eventually all the guards are covered in snow, either from active burying or the simple expediant of the blizzard that's still on going.

Serene in Silence nervously looks over at her guard's body and tries to work on burying the body starting at the feet. <<He is not dead, but he will be soon..>> With the storm helping her to finish up more quickly, she steps back cautiously and looks over at Defiant Storm, waiting to see what their next action will be.

Silvery White Wolf shifts around, checking on the others and making sure everyone is accounted for. The wolf's normally white fur is splattered with pink and red splotches from the blood. <<Well done. What now Howling-Wind?>> he ask's his pack Ahroun, obviously putting his faith in the Full-moon's judgement for the fight. He motions his muzzle towards the Barracks and adds, <<The majority of the guards, and the security system will be in there.>> for everyone to know, then he adds with a motion towards the other hanger, <<The cubs in there.>>

Defiant-Storm turns to LOOK at Serene in Silence, strides over to her guard and in a move that's lightning fast, sinks his claws into the man under the snow. <<He's dead now.>>

The walkie talkies remain silent. The base is currently unalerted and eight of the twenty four members of the human garrison are neutralized. Howling-wind when asked for the next step offers >>The security room and generator are in the back of the control building by the locked door that's generally unused. If someone wants to go in that way and shut down the power and the rest of the security systems. Or they can fight their way through the sixteen other soldiers, some of whom likely have silver bullets. The captured kinwolves they're using for breeding and any of their cubs are in the holding building there. That's where the rest of us should go, the lab can wait.<<

Hushed Blaze sends out on the link >>I got that. I can get the door unlocked, shut down the system..All that jazz.<<

Silvery White Wolf considers the information, and looks around. Then he offers over the link, <<Then we split up... >> he looks towards Hushed Blaze and Like the Wind and says, <<You two get to the security and disable it and take the generators offline.>> Then he turns and looks towards Shining-Walker, Mercy's Messenger, and Serene in Silence and says, <<You three get the cubs out of the holding area hanger.>> Then he turns and looks towards Defiant-Storm and Howling-Wind, <<We will hit the remaining security.. and buy them enough time to get the cubs to safety>>

Shining-Walker gives a wolfish grin (HAH!) and rolls his haunches <<Can do...how big of a distraction do you need? I have some...friends... out this way who are always eager to help.>>

Hushed Blaze looks to Like the Wind, and cants her head in the direction they need to go. <<Let's get this done. We get there, I got to shift to get this done. You watch my back.>>

Defiant-Storm looks around, the snow whipping around his silver frame. >>I could go with Hushed Blaze as well. If she can get us in and shut down the system, I can deal with silver bullets in this form.<<

Serene in Silence dips her head down to Defiant Storm wearing a guilty but grateful expression after he has helped to make sure that the guard will not be getting up again. She waits and looks over the others when they have reconvened, waiting patiently to listen to the next plan of attack. She nods once and pads over to join Shining Walker and Mercy's messenger, ready to follow them when needed. <<When the kinfolk and cubs are somewhere safe, I can check on their condition and treat them if they are in need.>>

Like the wind moves toward Hushed Blaze, taking up a position next to her, almost shoudler to shoulder, but falling back about a foot. This is her op. She's just offering backup. She nods her understanding and prepares to follow

Silvery White Wolf growls suddenly, lifting up and looks around. >>I made my decision. We go as I said.<< The Silver Fang seeming not interested in changing his mind, not while the War is hot. He looks towards Shining-Walker and links >>If things go wrong, use your friends to get the cubs to safety. They are the priority.<< He looks towards Hushed Blaze, >>If we fall, you get Like the Wind and those Cubs to safety. Understood?<<

Hushed Blaze responds to her Alpha, <<Understood, Alpha. Get the Cubs to Safety.>>

Shining-Walker gives that grin again, his body rippling and shifting easily as he stands up to his warform. He rolls out his massive shoulders, and what was just a silver blur of fur over one of his shoulders solidifies into his weapon. He reaches back and unhooks the massive grand klaive spear and sweeps it around to feel it's weight once more. <<Let's go be heroes.>> he says to his two partners.

Defiant Storm levels his gaze on Serene in Silence and nods. >>In the name of Gaia. Remember that.<< He's then striding over to Dragomir and Sergei, his huge paws flexing. Yup, he's ready.

Iris is also vaged, locked, and ready to rock. Cause she's a girl, see, so she's not cocked. Bazinga. AHEM. Any how, yeah, she's totally up there with Connor, stickin with her Hisponess since it's worked out so well thus far. Ready to go be a hero!

Like the wind has nothing to add. She's just ready to go super stalker

Hushed Blaze adds, <<Alpha, I have a spoof card to give to whomever wants to use it to open the door on the building while I take out the rest of the issues. Who do you want to have it?>>

Serene in Silence looks to Defiant Storm and nods once to show she understands, though it seems that she's choosing to stay in this form. >>In the name of Gaia and for the cubs.<< She looks up at Shining-Walker watches him for his lead, following him when he and Iris are ready to head towards the hanger.

Howling-Wind nods to his Alpha and moves to stand with his task group, rippling up to his warform and saluting with his fang dagger >>Live with honor, die with glory.<<

Silvery White Wolf considers and motions his muzzle towards Mercy's Messenger (Iris), <<Give it to Iris.>> Then he looks around, bobbing his wolven head towards Defiant-Storm and then looks back towards the others, <<May Gaia watch over you all. Good luck.>> and he turns, ready to follow Jake into War with Sergei at his side. >>I doubt we'll have fifty feet of room.. we will probably need to Blitz them, and take out as many as we can before they return fire. We go in together, if silver finds us.. then we will take down as many as we can before we fall Defiant-Storm'rhya.<<

Hushed Blaze pads over to Mercy's Messenger, and pulls on a cord and gets the spoof card out and manages to paw and get it looped around her neck. God, hands would be fantastic right about now, but that will have to wait until they are in position for the next step. <<Should be a place there to swipe the card. Good luck, and if you need me, let me know.>> She pads back over to Like the Wind. <<Let's get in position.>>

Iris gives her wolfy head a bob when she's equipped with card, and pokes Hushed Blaze with her nose before they split up and go to rock some stuff.

Like the wind makes her way over to the door. You'd never see her unless she came up flush against it. She nudges the lock with her nose and growls quietly at it and, lo and behold, it pops open. Normally, she would be wagging her tail happily, but instead, she just touches her nose to it and backs off a step

Hushed Blaze walks right there with Like the wind, and waits as she gets the door open. Once unlocked, she shifts to Crinos and turns the doorknob to get inside.

Inside the security building is much warmer, in part because once the door is shut they're out of the wind and also because its the Utility room. There's a generator over in one corner, vented with an exhaust pipe up through the ceiling. There's a door further in, probably out to the security desk.

Like the Wind sticks her nose into the warm air coming from the doorway sniffing before looking to Hushed and getting set to go in and continues sniffing, looking for dangers. >>There is one guard in the next room but it sounds like there's more people further away.<<

Silvery White Wolf listens and offers, <<You will have to strike swift and silently... or sneak around them. Don't let them sound the alarm.>>

Hushed Blaze thinks over the options and over the pack link says >>I say I cut the generator and when they come to investigate we take them out.<<

Like the Wind looks up, silently <<So we need to take this one to let you do that?>>

Hushed Blaze shifts down to lupus to get a good look at the generator. All that she needs to do is a few things - but those require thumbs! Since they do not know what will happen next, best to shift back up to Crinos. Shifting back up she then uses those all important thumbs to throw the main breaker that is in the box on the wall. Then hits just the right switches on the generator. Boom!

Like the Wind blinks as Hushed moves and moves around to the door where the Guard is going to come from. When the lights go down, she hits the next instant.

And that would be a solid 'no' to Like the Wind's question. The door did not need to open and all the lights go out. All that's left outside is the pale amber glow of the emergency lights over the door into each building.

Iris slinks along with The Crew, once the power snaps off, towards the hanger where cubs and what not are being kept, keeping her smaller self in Connor's shadow for the most part because he makes a great meat shield. Aside from dodging anything untoward, first item of business, probably, is looking at that door for a probably card reader thingie.

Serene in Silence turns her head to look over in the distance, watching the lights flick off. She ducks down and creeps after Shining Walker and Mercy's Messenger to try to help find the card reader Iris is looking for. She breaks from her searching every now and then to prop herself on the wall and look around, keeping an eye out for any suspicious shapes or scents so that they aren't surprised.

There is a black box, with a little red LED light currently glowing, mounted on the wall near the door knob

Ah ha! And there it is. Iris puffs a breath out with a waggle of card to make sure people know unlocking is about to happen regardless of animal language barriers. And then... SWIPE! Connor's probably game to go in first, what with all his sweet Klaiveness, maybe.

Shining-Walker is the master of kicking in doors, especially when they're not locked and someone totally just hacked them open. He'll be the first one in though as he is crinos and he does have a massive weapon that says -Here I am!-

Serene in Silence waits on Shining Walker to go first, then attempts to slink through cautiously, uncertain of what guards might be waiting for them on the other side if any. She looks around though, not only for the potential threats, but searching around for the kinfolk and cubs.

Inside the hangar being used as a holding area is a dark place. Not just because Hushed Blaze killed the lights but also because its full of cages. There's also the smell of astringent cleaning chemicals like a hospital and the sounds of whimpering and....laughter. The echoing clang of someone kicking a metal cage is fading from the air as the door bangs open and the amber glow of the emergency lights shines off of the head of Shining-Walker's silver spear. "Who the fuck?!" is yelled out and there's the squish-tear sound of a rage shift as someone howls >>INTRUDERS<< and several sets of heavy footfalls come charging at the door.

Back over by the security building the strike team prepared by the entrance to the barracks is using one of the heavy vehicles for cover. There are two big military trucks and a black lexus SUV in the parking area.

Silvery White Wolf :MINDSPEAK: We are expecting mostly human guards, probably with rifles and possibly silver ammo. We are also expecting some Fomori. We should have surprise on them when we burst inside through this entrance. They'll be focused towards the utility room. Use it wisely, kill as many as we can before they can regroup.

Defiant-Storm :MINDSPEAK: If you let me go in first I can surprise them with Scream Of Gaia which would send a shockwave throughout the room and injure them all immediately. All I would need is a five second start.

Silvery White Wolf :MINDSPEAK: Do it!

Defiant-Storm :MINDSPEAK:: After I'm inside, come in as SOON as you hear the shockwave go off. Like I said. Five second tops.

Howling-Wind positions himself by the door, since it opens outwards, whipping it open so that Defiant-Storm can charge his shiny silver self into the room full of automatic weapons.

Defiant-Storm looks between Drago and Howling-Wind, as if there is some sort of non-verbal communication going on between them and he nods slowly. The Ahroun takes a long breath...then another...steadying himself as he appears to be concentrating. He then nods to Howling-Wind and as the door opens he rushes inside. Two seconds later a bone-shattering HOOOOOOOWLLLLLLL-SCRREEEEAAAATCHHHHH can be heard. It's like a shock wave just went off in there! WTF?

Silvery White Wolf waits till he hears the shock wave, and despite how loud it was - he goes rushing in behind and into the barracks with a snarl for the Wyrm. The Judge intends to play the role of executioner tonight!

A dozen of the remaining guards are completely surprised when the door whips open just long enough for Defiant-Storm to come charging in and it slams shut behind him and his SCREAM knocks them all to the ground and sends some of the furniture flying and knocked all over the place. They are stunned breifly and don't notice the door opening slowly again.

When the building shakes with a masive sound the team in the generator room can hear muttered confused profanities from the next room along with movement away from the door they're behind.

<<Go,>> Halona growls as she hears the cursing. <<While they're disorganized.>> Because Hushed has thumbs

Hushed Blaze hears the sounds and looks to Like the Wind. <<Done. You first.>> She then moves to the door and pushes it open so the pouncing can begin.

As the door swings open, Like the Wind launches herself through. She's already sniffed out her prey, already zoomed in on a sound, so she leaps, jaws gaping wide, snapping closed like the world's most deadly venus fly trap as her tongue senses something touching it. It's a brutal bite, the force so great that it snaps clean through the guy's skull, crushing it beneath the huge fangs as blood and gore and brains squirt outward like a juicy, inflamed zit.

Hushed Blaze hears the other guy barf and she runs past the mess Like the Wind made of the other guy and goes right for him - launching at him and snaps her jaws around his neck and pops his head clean off - done. Not quite as gruesome, but the head does land in his vomit on the floor.

Shining-Walker sees the large deformed garou in crinos charging the length of the hangar in the company of two fomori. With a surge of Gnosis and an invocation of ancient pact his Draconic ally appears through a rip in the air and ROARS as they both engage the bad guys, providing a diversion for Mercy's-Messenger and Serene-in-Silence to go to the cages.

Serene in Silence's snow covered fur stands on end, puffing out at least an inch or two and she's quick to bear her teeth at the monstrocities approaching in warning. Twisting around on a leap and a jump, she ducks off to the side while Shining Walker deals with distracting the enemies that are going to be the biggest threat to them. She sniffs at the cages to check on those inside and tries to inspect for where a lock might be.

Iris slips in the door and behind the backs of holy fucking shit man to rush towards the cages. Course, big crinos things and enormous foxes and dragons and fomori.. These can't be doing good things for the states of minds of the poor caged up critters. Her first thought is for their safety and just wrenching open cage doors willy nilly is more likely to cause a panicked flood every which way. Like it or not, she takes a moment to stall and speak to them first in Wolf, assuring them, <<Everything is going to be okay, I promise! We're here to help you, we're going to get you out of here.>> he says, gesturing to herself and the fox while Hyo's checking out locks, <<We're going to get these cages open and you stick right by us, okay? Stick close to us as we'll get you to safety!>>

The confined wolves are a little skittish around Serene-in-Silence, she's unfamiliar and in their lives now that's especially bad. Iris though they respond to, they somehow know she's safe. Their are five adult females, one of whom is pregnant. There are a dozen pups under a year old.

When locking mechanisms are looked for a simple mechanical latch is found and easily opened from the outside. It would be from the inside to if any of the prisoners had thumbs.

Once she's sure she's got a little bit of a trust from the poor caged kiddos, Iris moves forward to assist with the cages. <<Move back now, away from the door, we're gonna try and break these..>> she says. Depending on just how tough they are, that is. Depending on how exactly they're locked, she might be able to just break the doors. "Missing. Girl." she gets out, a bit slurred due to a wolfish snoot, but she wants the fox to understand her, tapping on an empty cage, "Missing. One."

Or not break them, if it's a matter of thumbs. You know what I meant.

Serene in Silence notices the latch and turns her head to bite down on it, carefully manuevering to open it. When it's free, she steps back and lets the cage door open. Her nose twitches as she sniffs in their direction in concern, but the time to give them a checkup would have to wait as there were other cages to open. One by one she leaps in her strides to get to the cages quickly and repeat the process for the cages that Iris does not get to. She pauses by the empty one and frowns in confused concern. When Iris tries to speak to her, she listens carefully and flattens her ears warily. Reaching out to Defiant Storm, she tells him through their shared thoughts, <<One of the girls is missing. Four others, one might be expecting, and twelve pups.>>

Howling-Wind opened the door once the echo of Defiant-Storm's scream faded and he looks to his Alpha for direction, even if that's for him to go in next. Things are about to get noisy.

Defiant-Storm :MINDSPEAK:: Serene in Silence says One of the girls is missing. Four others, one might be expecting and twelve pups.

Silvery White Wolf blurs into the barracks, with help from a lent ring. The Silvery White Dire-wolf lunges over a piece of furniture and claw rakes across the throat of a dazed man, tearing out a vicious swipe and sending blood spraying across the room. Hind paws land on his chest as he spins, and the wolf bounces off the man before he dies and lunges himself towards another with another deadly swipe of a claw into the chest of a man toppled over. The sickening crushing pop of the claw collapsing the man's chest cage over his heart before the follow-through carries the Silvery White wolf towards another man. Fangs snatch the man's throat, who starts to cry out for help before a brutal pop destroys his throat and voice box. A sudden jerking of the wolf's head, wrenches the vertibrae loose on the man's neck and he goes limp like a rag doll in the grip of the dire beast. <<Kill them all.>> No mercy given to the Wyrm it seems.

After Defiant-Storm's ROAR-SCREAM he wastes no time grabbing the nearest soldier and ripping his face clean off before moving onto his pal and stamping down on his head, popping it like an overripe grape. The Ahroun isn't done yet though. There's still one more soldier within arms reach who is fumbling with his rifle who gets throated before he can even raise it. Yup, the Ahroun is on a literal tear, his Rage burning high and bright.

Howling-Wind charges in behind his Alpha and when the call for slaughter is made his head tilts back and he /howls/ a sound that's haunted many blizzards and snow fields, a sound that while the soldiers might not understand the language it terrifies them on a level almost as deep as the Delirium >>WENDDIIIGOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<< and he begins to kill. Slit throats and torn out hearts. As is his way.

Silvery White Wolf snarls and leaps forward to the next target, catching sight of the rifle and growls for a bite but ends up getting more rifle the man and deals no damage. The wolf lets go, and snaps his jaws, ready to bite again now.

Howling-Wind rushes right at one of the remaining shooters and slits his throat to the spine with his fang dagger. Shoving him backwards over a knocked over bookshelf to bleed all over the floor.

For those who have never seen Defiant-Storm in combat, it's truly rather terrifying. Can this even be Jake? It's like a totally different person, a Garou sized chain saw that slices through bodies like they're butter. He guts another man in the blink of an eye, intestines spilling out onto the floor like eels racing to return to the water, then turns on yet another guard who is screaming like a school girl, high and terrified. The soldier does manage to get a shot off but it doesn't even cause Defiant-Storm to pause. He simply rips the man to shreds.

Howling-Wind sees the last shooter swing towards him and the silver skinned Elder as he starts unleashing a storm of bullets. Diving for cover is a great reflex but Howling-Wind wasn't quite quick enough and he howls from the pain of a silver bullet /slamming/ into his shoulder.

As the gun goes off, and the burning scent of silver fires in the room and illuminates the Lunar reflection in the body of Howling-Wind, the Silvery White Dire-wolf snarls viciously and jerks his head around to catch the throat of the last remaining guard. Claws plant on his chest and he rends the man's throat clear out of his neck and lets the blood splatter all around.

Hushed Blaze gestures to the blood covered Like the Wind to follow her, and they head out from the back to check on the rest of the team. When they get inside she asks, <<Alpha! Where do you need us?>>

Howling-Wind drags himself back to his feet from where he'd dived for cover, actually still bleeding from his shoulder. He sort of frowns as he glances down at the wound >>I must get faster.<<

Silvery White Wolf shifts around to look at Howling-Wind, considering him and chuffs, <<Good news Howling-Wind.. you're going to live. Better news, that will make a great scar, might even get you a mate.>> He looks around and offers over the link now, <<The Barracks is clear.. security is down, and defenses are broken.. most of the cubs are saved. One pregnant missing, join us Hushed Blaze and Like the Wind.. we search. Who can perform the Questing Stone?>>

Howling-Wind grunts and nods >>Alpha, the scientist said those not in holding would be in the lab. Should we check their first before using the rite?<<

Silvery White Wolf links, <<Yes, you are correct... to the lab.>>

Defiant-Storm finally finishes turning his last victim into steak tartare, picks him up and throws him against the wall for good measure. *THUUUUD* A deep frown crosses his silvery expression as he sees that Howling-Wind is injured. <<That needs healing.>> He continues to keep his distance from the others though.

Silvery White Wolf chuffs, >>It is his first great wound.. it should be remembered and honored Defiant-Storm'rhya. Let him save it for the Rite of Wounding.<<

Defiant-Storm nods to Dragomir. <<As long as he can make it back okay. Let's find that missing female.>>

Howling-Wind nods at his Alpha and gives the arm a little bit of movement and says without joking >>I have used a gift to banish the pain, though I should be careful or it might fall off. Lets check the lab.<<

Defiant-Storm :MINDSPEAK:: Once we get the entire group together I can open a Moonbridge to take us all home. The pups are going to have trouble with the snow and it's too far for the pregnant ones to run.

With the information passed along to the best of her abilities, Serene in Silence closes her eyes and starts to change. There's brief tension in her form as it snaps and pops to something smaller in shape, her Sambuhenge form. It looks mostly like her human self, only with an absence of human-hair and many of her fox features retained such as her fur, ears, and foxish snout. She wanders over and picks out one of the blankets, holding it to the light to make sure the fabric is thick enough. Satisfied, Hyo picks up another one to carry over to Iris in offering. Whether or not it's taken, she attempts to kneel on the ground and spread her blanket out, gently patting it to try to encourage some of the cubs to climb on so they could be safely carried. Her tail swishes at a calm language pace behind her and she smiles gently in an effort to help them be more at ease with her presence.

While battle rages on in Connor and dragon land, Iris helps get the unlucky wolves and pups out of their cages, looking for anything that might help with gathering them up. Little bitty guys from sunny southern california don't need to be battling mountains of snow to get out of here or dealing with the insane blizzard winds. Hyo beats her to that punch though and she takes the offered blanket with a wuff of thanks, setting it out in much the same fashion, encouraging the kiddos in their own tongue. They can probably each get a sack full of half the adorableness evenly split between them and herd the adult wolves between them. Sneaking past Conor and all that ruckus, though.. "There." she says, pointing to the fat dark shape of a transport to get out of the weather until the pack can all regroup again.

Hyo gently gathers up her sack full of pups in her arms and follows Iris' trail to avoid the fighting. There is a concerned glance cast over her shoulder for their teammate, but she presses on knowing that delay wouldn't do anyone of them any good. Perking up at Iris' words once they're outside, she follows her pointing finger to look over the transport and nods her head once. She starts to head over that way to the safety of the truck, gingerly testing the back of the vehicle to see if it's been left unlocked.

The bulk of the fight kept getting pushed to the far back of the hangar, the path to escape is clear and the extraction team makes it to the parking area easily as the other group heads over to the lab. Hushed Blaze easily has time to trot over to Mercy's-Messenger and retrieve her 'keycard' and catch up to the others and facilitate entry.

Hushed Blaze sprints to Mercy's Messenger and gets the 'keycard' and heads back to the others so they can get into this lab. <<When ready, I will open the door with the card.>>

Silvery White Wolf gets ready to pounce, and bobs his head to Hushed Blaze, <<Do it.>>

Defiant-Storm readies himself also, staring at the locked door with a fierce gaze. He's oh-so-ready.

When Hushed Blaze opens the door to the lab there's a sudden bellow as one of those fomori comes charging out and gets a face full of Defiant-Storm. This will likely not end well.

For the Fomori

Not only does the fomor get a face full of Defiant-Storm, he also gets a face full of fang dagger! *Caaaa-RUUUUUNCH!* The weapon slides into his right eye and pops out the back of his skull. Just like that. Easy as pie. The creature's mouth opens in shocked horror, a silent scream forming on its lips before simply falling bonelessly to the floor. The Ahroun begins to clean off his knife as he gestures inside. <<Find the missing female.>>

As the deformed mutant falls to the floor a number of additional wounds are noticed. And with the door open there's now a through breeze as a the biting cold wind comes rushing in a gaping hole where a chunk of the back wall used to be. The lab has been trashed and the only thing still alive is a very pregnant female wolf cowering in terror under some knocked over equipment. There's a metis form black spiral corpse, The Founder's third son. Something or someone large and angry busted out of the secure back room and murdered everyone except the she-wolf and the fomori Defiant Storm finished before it escaped out through the back wall into the night and the storm.

Silvery White Wolf pads forward and takes a look around. There is something that catches him off guard... he lowers down and starts to sniff and check the scent more intently now. <<Ensure she is safe with the others...>> though he sounds distracted, like there's something more here he can't figure out just yet.

Hushed Blaze walks over to the pregnant wolf to see what she can do for her.

The she-wolf is easily coaxed out and seems mostly alright, just agitated about whatever happened and not terribly coherent.

Defiant-Storm's frown grows deeper when he sees the huge hole in the wall of the room and he closes his eyes a moment in concentration and whispers something. After a moment he looks up towards the ceiling, nods to something and says, <<Try to find whatever caused this and follow it. If you find it, report back to me later.>>

Silvery White Wolf pushes over some lab equipment, and buries his muzzle into something he senses. Suddenly there's a thunderous growl from him, and he starts knocking things over and shifts up into Crinos form to grab hold of things and search franticly around.. clearly something has the normally even-headed Judge upset.

Hyo lifts her head to look up when Hushed Blaze steps in with the she-wolf, knelt by the other pregnant woman as she checks on her condition. She pushes up onto her feet and walks over, attempting to help Hushed Blaze lead her to the other cubs and kin huddled together for security and wolf before attempting to return to her check-ups. She works meticulously in her silence, delicately testing the range of motion in their limbs if allowed, checking their pulses in various places, and tending to some of the more visible wounds.
