⚜ The Family ⚜
xxxxxThe Astor family is a prominent American family notable for its importance in business, society and politics. They are well known in the New York City area, and even overseas in Britian. They are known as the 'landlords' of NYC, their legacy living on in many features around the city from the New York Public Library, to hotels such as the Waldorf-Astoria, and even names of streets around the city and suburbs. A branch of the family in Britian holds two hereditary peerages: Viscount Astor and Baron Astor of Hever.
⚜ The Life ⚜
xxxxxCherish had the best of everything, from education to friends from the best families. One would think with such advantages, that she'd grow up to be arrogant and a snob, yet she has always been fairly down-to-earth, earning the reproach of her family who has never understood their daughter. The questions started when she decided to pursue nursing in college: Why would you wish to work when you don't need too? Why not be a respected doctor instead of a nurse? Even when she continued her education, gaining her Master's in Nursing to then be able to further take on the duties as a Nurse Practioner, there was no understanding from her family.
xxxxxWith her family driving her crazy, Cherish enlisted in a traveling nursing program that sent her around the States to work in hospitals and clinics. This is how she ended up here, in Prospect, living and working here for only the past three months. Her evaluations are stellar, her repertoire with her patients beyond compare. Of course, her need to help others, leaves her in the dangerous position of taking on more than she should too often.
⚜ The Death ⚜
xxxxxShort handed at the hospital, Cherish has worked quite a few double, and sometimes triple, shifts. August 14, 2012 would be the day that would change her life. It started off as any other with her going into work for her normal shift. Too many calling in, and the following shift only had three nurses show up. Volunteering to remain, Cherish would turn to something she'd used a few times: drugs to help her focus and stay alert and awake. Then comes the next shift shorthanded, though the promise that another nurse would come in as soon as her kid finished with a doctor's appointment. Rain slick roads would be the cause of a major pile-up with injuries being sent to her hospital just when she thought she would be getting off and going home to crash. More drugs, too many this time, would cause her heart to stop... and yet Xymael was there to make the jump and take over. Memories are foggy for Zymael who continues with Cherish's work, both at hospitals and clinics while waiting for the fog to clear.

xxxxxHair of blond, the rich shade of gold one finds in old paintings crowns her head. She has high, slanting cheekbones and a sharp, stubborn jaw. Her skin refuses to tan, remaining a delicate peach to contrast with the violet-blue of her eyes. An elegant slant of nose sits able pouty red lips. The unique color of her eyes, and her offhanded elegant movements, allows her to stand out above others in some situations. Curvy in all the right places, she still remains thin, arms and legs toned yet muscular. She's tall, nearing 5'10" easily. She often wears a necklace of a simple gold cross around her neck.
xxxxxDepending on what time of day or night, her clothing generally reflects what activities she's involved in. If at work, she's wearing scrubs with her hair pulled back. If off, then generally dressed in something casual, yet comfortable. If it's a night on the town, she's dressed to the nines in an outfit that probably cost a pretty penny.

- Cherish is a nurse practioner working out of the local hospital, though she also makes rounds about nearby clinics and shelters.
- Cherish enjoys a good book, and when she's off work, can often be found in one.
- Cherish received her Master's in Nursing from the university here in Prospect. She may be found there tutoring or helping other nursing students from time to time.
- Cherish's family is well known, especially back in New York City and even in Britian. If you travel in these circles, then you may well know her from parties, charity functions, and the like. Why she's in Prospect, working long hours in a hospital, is anyone's guess, and likely cause for some gossip.
- Cherish is a recent addition to this sphere, her memory seeming fairly hazy.
