Choose Concept, Nature, Demeanor, Clan, Faction
- Revenants: Use the ghoul quickstart. Set 'Clan' to your family, 'Domitor' to None. See below for more details.
- Dhampirs also count as Revenants (Time of Thin Blood 81)
Note: Ghouls with an off-stage NPC domitor are encouraged

Raising disciplines above 1 requires "Domitor (background)", see '+rules domitor' for details. This does not exactly match canon concept or game mechanics, it's intentionally house-ruled to put ghouls with PC/NPC domitors and revenants all on an equal footing.
Revenants follow all the same game mechanics as ghouls, unless house rules explicitly state otherwise. In particular:
- Revenants do produce their own vitae as in canon.
- Raising disciplines above 1 still requires "Domitor (background)" as above. This does not mean you have to have a domitor in the usual sense, it just imposes an XP cost to represent finding one or more appropriate donors (G:FA 71).
