Born in Aquitaine in the early Middle Ages, Louis was the eldest son of a vassal family to a noble house. Under the rule of William VIII, Duke of Aquitaine, he was trained as a knight, and attracted the attention of the infamous Ranulph Longsword, a Toreador member of the See of Nod and adherent of the Crimson Curia. Sensing in the noble young knight an innate potential for great leadership as well as martial prowess, Louis was Embraced into the Toreador and brought up under Ranulph's heretical and power-hungry tutelage.

Ranulph lost much of his power in the Crusades of the 13th Century, and his methods and morals produced a schism between sire and childer. After the formation of the Camarilla, Louis pledged loyalty to the sect for a time, and spent the next two centuries working to ensure the ideals he had always believed in. However, he quickly became disillusioned by the bureaucracy and nepotism that rampaged through the Camarilla, and as Kindred began to migrate to the New World, Louis became one of them.

Initially sent to consolidate power within the Camarilla strongholds in the English, Dutch, and French colonies, when Louis saw the opportunity to slip away from the power structure he had come to resent in this fledgling continent, he took it. Much of the next two hundred years of his life is a mystery to everyone but Louis; he spent those years wandering the American wilderness, loosely associated with Anarch groups he encountered among the way. By the 1940s with the establishment of the Anarch Free States, Louis began to once again see something worth believing in.

Social Justice: BLM, Me Too, LGBTQIA+, Land Back - Louis is into it all. He's a dedicated ally to the cause and can be found at rallies, protests, voter registration events, and more. He believes that all power should be given back to the people and is almost old enough to remember a time before capitalism existed at all, let alone in its current form. This doesn't mean he's preachy or obnoxious. He's just a true believer.

Knighthood: If you remember the days of the knights of old, are into Medieval re-enactment, or just think that shit is cool, you will probably get along with Louis. Despite knowing it was an objectively terrible time, he has a serious nostalgia for plate armor, mead, and jousting. He can occasionally be found wandering medieval artifact displays at museums and checking out Ren Faires.

Wilderness: There's nothing more beautiful than an untouched, vast stretch of nature and in this period of history, those are becoming more and more rare. Though most of the wild is the purview of Lupines, Louis yearns for those swaths of land relatively unaltered by human tampering. He does what he can to be in the good graces of the children of Gaia and servants of the Wyld, which is admittedly not much. These days it's a lot of Ansel Adams coffee table books and donating to sustainable agricultural and rewilding practices.
