Charlene You're persistent, I'll give you that much. Unfortunately, that persistence wont spare you from the kind of grief a soft heart like yours has a tendency to invite.
Cinder One of these days, I'll have you point out the rabble that left you to rot. I've been meaning to have a word with them. In the meantime, you know I'll do everything I can to see to your success, even if it wounds us both in the process.
Felix You pushed once, and I tipped my hand. Then, you did it again, in front of a wider audience, and I chose to leave. Though I believe you mean well with all this exposition, I won't let you get away with an encore.
Jake Either you're pulling one of the greatest cons in the history of the Shadow Lords, or you're unlike any other I've met. I'm not sure what to make of it-- or of your uneasiness with leadership-- but I wouldn't mind getting to know you better.
Journey Learned, clearly capable of great feats, but you get lost in your own words sometimes. The biproduct of being a father, maybe.
Nathaniel In the grand scheme of things-- if I had to choose someone who could simultaneously 'know too much' and still remain trustworthy, it would probably be you.
Selene: There's a great deal I need to tell you, that I should tell you, but I wonder how much of it will be-- I hesitate to say 'understood,' but... that's as good a word as any.
