Overview

The Ajaba are the last of a dying race, and are determined to survive and return by any means necessary. While their numbers are down to two or three dozen, they are scattered across the modern world. They will mate with whomever they can to ensure the survival of their kind. Family ties, ancestry, and group identity have been in a place of great importance for the Ajaba, but with the death of so many, the focus is on survival.

Life is sacred to the Ajaba. No one is left out, everyone is protected. Those injured are cared for to heal, those that dissent are punished, and those more fertile are secured while they raise their kits. Metis are more accepted than ever. While they are sterile, they make up for this by acting as bodyguards for those that are fertile.

Most Ajaba, regardless of their heritage, appear with large lower jaws, thick teeth, bristly hair, heavy builds, broad shoulders, and hoarse voices. They tend to dress in cast-off clothing and weapons are more improvised. Kinfolk include gang members, street people, junkyard prophets, and urban mongrels. They are survivors, and can be hostile to outsiders. The Ajaba are a tribe deep in shadow, the less said about their breed the better.
