|
- Louisiana. Bethlehem grew up in a hardcore Catholic family in New Orleans. His father was military, and his mother was military, and his older brother and sister were military. He's a Cajun, and while it's often hidden these days, he's a big lover of Cajun culture and ways, and he's a native Cajun French speaker.
- Trouble. He got into a lot of trouble as a kid. He was bigger and meaner then the other kids, and he got involved in all kinds of crime. In the end he was given a choice...the military or jail. Surprise surprise, he chose the former.
- Military. Due to his skill in violence more then anything else, he ended up a Green Beret. He served in the Army Special Forces for twelve years, before getting out. He saw a lot of action in that time, and a good deal of it still sticks with him in his dreams.
- Marriage. While he was in the Army he met the beautiful Samantha Torrence, and the two fell madly in love. They married, and had their daughter Harley twelve years ago. When Bethlehem got out of the military his parents pushed him towards law enforcement, but he wanted to be a cook. However, fate is cruel.
- Death. When Harley was only three, her mother was killed. It was a home invasion while Bethlehem was eyeing a building to purchase to create his own restaurant. When he got home the police were already there.
- Law. He ended up in Law Enforcement after all. The people who abused and murdered his wife were never found. He served in the New Orleans Police Department for ten years, reaching Homicide Detective five years in, due to skill and prior military service and pure dedication.
- Fallen The loss of his wife and the stress of the job pushed him to alcoholism and suicidal thoughts, and eventually he took his own life. The demon Nin'Gal leapt into the whole, however, making Bethlehem whole again. He now takes care of his little girl better then ever, and is a better cop then ever. He's recently requested a transfer to a place with a better school for her, and better future opportunities.
