Shifters

“CLEVER QUOTE TO BE ADDED LATER”
- anon

There was a time when the universe was in balance. A time when the Weaver, Wyrm, and Wyld worked in peace and harmony to maintain the delicate fabric of existence. A time when spirit and flesh were both as one. A time when the laws of nature ruled with a mighty hand...or paw...and crushed all opposition before it. Like all things, times have changed. No one's sure exactly how it happened, but things went awry. Some speculate that the Weaver started to question her purpose in the Tellurian while others think that her constant machinations of spinning webs upon webs drove her to insanity. Whatever exactly happened, all we know is that somehow things went wrong, horribly, horribly wrong.

There are tales that tell of how the Weaver captured the Wyrm. For millenia the Wyrm writhed in rage, twisted upon itself in its own madness, and split into the forms of corruption. Now in its own insanity, and fury, it has turned upon the spirit of the earth - that which we call Mother Gaia. The Weaver continues to spin countless webs in attempt to calcify all within and under her control while the Wyld grows out of its bounds and births utter havoc with its maddened, chaotic creations. Now the very fate of the world lies within the hands of those few warriors birthed with a blessing as well as a curse. Those few of Gaia's chosen children are left to fight what may be a hopeless battle against the Wyrm and its minions that try to infect our Mother and tear her body apart only to devour her and bring forth the end of all times. Now is a time of war.

Now is a time to rage against the dying of the light in hopes to save the earth and all that exist upon it. The Great Serpent's minions are many and we are but few. We are left to fight against a world that not only has shunned us for what we are, but filled with a mass of enemies of all kinds that try to hunt each and everyone of us down. Now is a time to raise up against our foes and fight those that oppose us. To live and possibly even die a glorious death all in the name of peace and justice. Here in the city of Prospect with all its false promises of hope and the mask of paradise that it wears lies a sickening, vile, truth behind it all. Even here there is a great evil that threatens the existence of all and we must do whatever it takes to stop it.

  • Once approved, if you want to put your Rite Name in front of your name on channel, you can use ANSI commands and color codes.
  • Try '@force me=comtitle <alias>=<< <Clan Name> >>', with color codes (e.g., %xw for white, %xb for blue, see 'help ansi codes' for more info on what letter is used for which color).
  • For example @force me=comtitle gar=%xb<<boogerbutt>>

Character Generation

CG numbers as seen on page 100/101

  • Your character begins with each Attribute at one dot. Priority selection determines how many additional dots you may place in each category: Divide seven dots among your character's primary Attributes, five dots among her secondary Attributes and three dots among her tertiary Attributes. You may not raise an Attribute above five dots. Freebie points allow you to increase an Attribute or two later on if you feel it necessary.
  • Assign 13 dots to your primary category, nine dots to your secondary category and five dots to your tertiary category. You may not assign more than three dots to any Ability, but you can increase Abilities to four or five dots with freebie points later.
  • Your character receives five dots to assign among Background Traits.
  • Renown is vital for your character, since it defines his/her social status among his/her specific shifter race. Your character's auspice determines his/her starting permanent Renown.
  • Your character's auspice determines his starting score on Rage as well. This varies amongst the different changing breeds.
  • Breed determines your character's initial rating for Gnosis. This varies amongst the different changing breeds.
  • Your character's tribe determines his/her initial Willpower. This varies amongst the different changing breeds.
  • The final step. You now have 15 freebie points with which to round out your character and select Traits you couldn't afford previously. Each Trait has its own price (see the table in the Character Creation Summary on p. 102).

Approval Tips
Some tips on getting your character approved painlessly.

  • Make sure to read up on what you wish to play so that you have an idea of how the game/theme/system works.
  • Have a solid concept. Make sure your stats fit the concept you're going for.
  • Talk to Staff in pages, @mail or via +request if you've got questions, concerns or ideas.
  • Not everyone needs to be a combat centric. Social and Mental rolls will be used liberally here.
  • Use common sense. Gunshots get noticed in the city as are weapons that are considered illegal to carry out on the streets in California.
