- Flint : Zev grew up in Flint, Michigan. It is the second most crime-ridden city in the country, following just after East St. Louis. He grew up around poverty and violence, and used college to get out of the hell. He's seen the worst of mankind.
- Firefighter : He works for the Prospect Fire Department, and he's humble about it. He loves his job, and when it comes down to it he simply loves helping people.
- Volunteer : In his off time he often volunteers for various charity drives, or at soup kitchens, or at the hospital.
- Mortal : He's as mortal as they come. Need to feed? He's fully effected by the Mists, Delirium, etc. He has a very high will for a mortal, but that doesn't change the fact that he's just a dude.
- Potent : He doesn't know it, but his blood is unbelievably potent. It's ambrosia to Vampires. Ruh roh.
