Inflections

English is not Valka's native language. In fact, no human language is, and that shows through in her speech patterns. Most of the time she speaks with very little inflection at all, without the rises and dips that most people use to impart emotion into what they say. The result is not precisely a monotone, it is simply that she is usually matter-of-fact and as mellow as honey.

Body Language

Body language is often more useful to the Forseti than spoken language. It is how she often decides how to interpret what someone is saying, or to extract information that may not have been spoken in the first place. Tone, stance, movement, and expression are all integral parts in helping her figure out what someone means, especially when this is different than what they are saying.
