Benoit Thorpe is a story-teller with no story of his own.

His name, his family, his ancestry - these are all elements of who he is, but form no basis in his memory. He can recite the facts of his birth and upbringing - at least what he could discover through hearsay accounts and research, but the million little details that matter and make a person who he or she is are all absent from his sense of self. Everything before his First Change was scrubbed from his mind. Date and place of birth, names of family and friends, the schooling began but not finished; these do not make a person.

His earliest memories are the instruction, training, and fellowship of the Garou. He retains the facts he learned in his life before the change, but none of the feelings. He has taken to his life as a Garou and a Galliard, tirelessly and joyously learning and consuming stories in every available media, as though this could make up for the lack of his own. And for one who delights in every story, seeking to draw them from all those he meets, what better tribe than the social Fianna?
