The Songbirds/Infobox
The Songbirds are a trio of bird pooka that Kieran hangs around with. They’re part of the local music scene, and often turn up to act as backup singers for her at fae events—and even as a Greek Chorus for others. If you need a musical act in the background, feel free to use them! This applies to Changeling scenes, obviously, but also to non-fae events. Just make sure that if anything happens, it's something they can recover from off-screen so others can use them as well!
The Songbirds are:
Elizabeth “Dizzy Lizzy” Bordeaux
Elizabeth Bordeaux is the owner of Calling Bird Music, a small music store operating near the Starlight Center. A talented singer and singing teacher, she enjoys taking time with the students from the Center, and will often make time to help out in rehearsals and even studio time at the Center. She is also a creature of misdirection and mischief: a bird pooka—specifically, a Spotted Towhee pooka named Dizzy Lizzy. The mastermind behind the Songbirds, Lizzy doesn't tend to take center stage when they perform, preferring instead to handle the business end of things.
Julietta “Donna Prima” Margolis
A professional studio keyboardist, Julietta Margolis has appeared on a number of professional projects as a session player, but never pushed for that 'big break'. As a Violet-Green Swallow pooka, Julietta (or, as her fae self is known, Donna Prima) loves supporting and inspiring the musicians she works with.
Emilia “Henrietta Little” Salvador
She's a chicken! A giant CHICKEN! Ok, she's not a giant chicken, but Henrietta Little (yes, Chicken Little) is, in fact, a chicken pooka. Specifically, she's a Golden Laced Wyandotte which, let's face it, is what Cher would be if she were a chicken. Seriously, look down there. That's a real damned bird. And Emilia Salvador is, when she lets herself be, one of those birds! She's also a middle-school music teacher to pay the bills, taking a particular delight in bringing the joy of music to the younger generation. When she gets on-stage with the Songbirds, though—especially at events in fae society where she can let her plumage shine—Emilia is absolutely the center-stage showstopper of the group.
