Summary / The Story So Far
Two barely conceivable beings, Yama Kings whose names have largely been forgotten and lost to the vagaries of demon-time, have fought a war for a generation over Sajavedra, a barely legendary land far to the southeast in the sprawl of the Yomi Wan spiritually adjacent to Prospect. They wish to claim its rich harvests of souls and fields, its intricate networks of dragon lines and temples, for their own.
They have devastated it utterly.
A forgotten weapon in their war, a neglected sorcery fallen from a distracted Yama King’s attention, lies in the Qi Lung River valley at the edge of this near-cosmic battlefield. The Cylinder. It threatens to poison the central dragon line that courses through the very heart of Prospect's Chinatown.
The Venerable Benefactor of the local Wing Kong Benevolent Association, working through Daniel "Danny Dragon" Lung and his associate Ms. Jin Soon, has issued a call for contracting with intrepid shen who dare to venture into the Yomi Wan and deal with the threat that this errant weapon poses to the local Middle Kingdom.
About the Qi Lung mission
Objective(s):
- Negotiate an understanding with the monks of the Poison Lotus regarding the spread of their spiritual narcotic into the Middle Kingdom
- Obstruct and/or slow down the flow of random bakemono myrmidons into Prospect's Middle Kingdom via dragon lines
- Convince the competing mercenaries to vacate the river valley and/or stop conscripting villagers into the conflict
- Quiet the Naga and prevent her from achieving Yama Queen status
- Locate and deal with the Cylinder

The monks of the Poison Lotus cult
This sect of monks were once the designated guardians of the realm. But then the thousand year war broke out between the Yama Kings, and the poisoning of their poppy fields by the Cylinder poisoned their minds. They have an interest in pushing their tainted poppy product into Prospect's Little China in the form of heroin called "Pigment" but have as yet not made any moves to do so.
