• Detroit

He grew up in a really, really bad part of Detroit. He dragged himself out of the gutter and made himself a better life.

• Former Clergy

Laurence made a better life by joining the clergy. He became a member of the Catholic Church, and a priest. He began serving at a small church in Detroit, trying to make life better for people.

• Music

He reached out to people through music. He has a unique voice, but a natural skill with performing, and he drew in the faithful by the droves, turning the tiny, under funded church into a center of faith for the down and out in the city.

• Awakening

He went through his Awakening and joined the Chorus. He became a member of the Knights Templar after violence became a major problem in his churches neighborhood, and the violence turned out to be Sabbat controlled. He served within the Celestial Chorus for over a decade.

• Despair

Nothing seemed to fix the city, though. In the end he broke a little, and was nursed back to 'sanity' by a corrupted member of the Tradition. She showed him the truth about the One, and the Prime...and about the Outer Gods. In the end he became Nephandi, and he quit the church. He began traveling the country, performing and living...and working towards his Gods' whims.
