- He was born and raised in Hong Kong, and he spent most of his life in the city.
- He ended up as a Diplomat working for the Chinese government, and he spent a few years stationed both in D.C. and in Moscow, though mainly in China. He was very good at his job.
- He accentuated his earning by serving as a third party Diplomat for the Triads. He setup meetings, deals and fence trades. All managed to stay truly neutral, as long as he got a good percentage of any earnings, or a fee for arranging safe meetings. Eventually, though, one of the Triads took issue with him and he ended up with two bullets in his chest in 1993.
- While he's fantastic at covering it up, Jianyu is a monster. A sensual monster, but a monster nonetheless. However, Devil Tigers have a purpose: They are Righteous Devils. Punishing Devils existing here on the mortal plane. He'll take his vices out on an innocent, or he'll protect one from the monsters, depending on his whims. However, if you are a monster, then this one will prey on you.
- Jianyu is Yang-Imbalanced, and thus -full- of energy. He's constantly moving, or dancing, or something. In addition, he looks and feels completely human. He breathes, eats, smokes...whatever.
