Breaking News - Teatro Quarantine Sun Jan 10 FennecFox

Just after 7am Emergency Services were called to the building housing the
Teatro di Sofferenza BDSM club and a hotel.
Panicked guests of the hotel reported staff coughing up liquid and
collapsing. Reports indicate that this is a wide scale event in the building.
The CDC has been mobilized and has put the building on quarantine and the
guests staying in it have been put in isolation while they investigate the
source of this outbreak. Estimates place the current death toll in the
dozens. CDC Officials request that anyone encountering someone exhibiting
signs of coughing up clear liquid with green fibrous material in it to stay
clear and call 911.
We will follow up with any further information as it becomes available.

Around mid day the CDC announces that there is a blood born pathogen
found at the Teatro and request anyone that has been there in the last day or
so to come in for a screening. The pathogen transmits through blood and
anyone sharing needles, engaging in 'blood play' or being exposed to blood
from Teatro staff or club goers should seek immediate medical attention.
Around 7pm at night a new Press Conference is called. CDC Scientists have
created a cure. Blood tests of individuals not on location at the time of the
event and the hotel guests have shown no presence of the pathogen. Further
tests are being carried out to find the source.

Local Man Wakes up! Wed Jan 13 Segers

Local news bite lasting all of 30 seconds during the end of the
evening hour news:
Kelly Segers - local man age 23, awakens from a week long coma this afternoon.
He was the victim of a tragic car accident which took the life of two other
local men and placed Segers in long term care two weeks ago on state highway
15.
Segers was riding in the passenger side when a drunk driver jumped the
barrier between the two lanes on the I-15 and plowed into the oncoming car.
Killing the driver of Seger's car and the other driver instantly. Seger was
reported dead at the scene, but was managed to be revived once at a local
hospital.
Segers may be best known to locals in the music scene as bass player
in the Incubus cover band, "Wish You were Here", and as 2010 semi-finalist
for his local high school Academic Decatholan.
Police are still investigating the accident and have not released the
names of the other two men involved.

Famous for being famous and stupid, Kora was back at it again this time with

Teatro to be Demolished Mon Feb 08 FennecFox

Bad news continues for this edgy club. During the investigation into
the deaths investigators discovered that Illegal Mexican Smuggling Tunnels
into the building had undermined its foundations. The resulting stress on the
strucure poses a danger to the entire city block should an earthquake strike
the region. Special demolitions crews will begin the process of colapsing the
building during this coming week.
When asked about the speed at which this project is moving Harold
Schubler with the Prospect Planning Commission assured us that plans for this
have been on display for the last month at their offices in City Hall.

Already established in Oregon and Washington, City First Group has chosen
Prospect as it's pilot city for their California expansion. This
philanthropic organization is known for running shelters, drug treatment
programs, needle exchanges, and providing various medical services for
homeless, addicts, indigent, and various marginalized and at risk groups.
Workers have been seen performing significant renovations at two sites in
Prospect. The failing charity New Hope Sanctuary is being taken over and
rebranded. The charity also reached an agreement with both the city and the
squatters that had been occupying Abandoned Apartments Downtown. The
Abandoned Apartments are seeing significant renovations and are being brought
up to code.
Representatives from City First Group stated that they were working with the
squatters to both improve and legalize their living situation. City First
Group is attempting to perform their renovations in the least disruptive
manner possible, and are providing alternate housing solutions for those
temporarily displaced.

A new video has recently gone viral depicting events at what's probably an
after-after party for the Oscars. The video takes place on the patio of
someone's cliffside villa, with the ocean (presumably -- it's hard to see
because it's so dark) stretching out below.
The video starts with Zack stripping off his shoes, coat, and shirt between
swigs from a bottle of champagne, while a number of voices alternately egg
him on and beg him not to do whatever he's getting ready to do. Then he jumps
onto the narrow railing that separates the edge of the patio from the long,
long drop to the ocean below, and capers along its length; once, he teases
everyone by pretending that he's about to fall, only to laugh when a couple
of women scream. Finally, he crows out: "Hold my champagne and watch this!",
tosses the bottle to someone off camera, and jumps. He twists and flips once
in the air before disappearing into the darkness.
People scream. ("OH MY GOD HE'S DEAD!") Someone yells to call 911. The picture
starts to bob and jostle wildly as the person who was holding the camera
starts to panic, and then the video cuts out.
It cuts back in again with a group of people running down the long switchback
of stairs to the private beach below the house. The beams of flashlights bob
haphazardly around; it's pretty clear that nobody here really wants to see
what they expect to find. Someone's light flashes across something sitting on
a rock just out of the water, then jerks back to settle on Zack, soaked to
the skin and wearing a shit-eating grin as he shades his eyes against the
light. "TELL ME you brought me a drink," he laughs.

An article makes the rounds through typical forums of gossip, both in print and
online, concerning the activities of famed porn starlet Sinthia Black:
... For some months, Ms. Black has been touring the convention circuit and

while filming a high budget production for her employer, Skinsense Ltd.

Black drew crowds when she made surprise stops at a few favorite clubs to
visit patrons and staff, being ferried about courtesy a Skinsense-owned
limousine equipped with two heavyweight gentlemen for her to drape her arms
upon.
Police sources have revealed that Ms. Black's tour around town evidently caused
at least two traffic collisions, all going on the record as having been
"distracted" by her. Asked for comment, Sinthia replied via email, "If you
had to have a menace to society, I can't think of one better than that."
Ms. Black is has settled back into her glamorous residence in the Mission Plaza
Tower, and it's expected that she will soon resume work in local films. She's
also taken an interest in the directoral aspect of the industry, and has even
hinted at being interested in purchasing a club or other venue in Hope
catering to the adult crowd.
Shortly after settling back in, an agent believed to be representing Ms. Black
placed employment advertisements for gentlemen with muscle (specifically, "as
much as we can get on one body"), in addition to bodyguarding and/or combat
experience. Other feelers have been extended into the areas of investment and
publicity. It just might be the case that Skinsense's most valuable asset is
looking to form an empire of her own!

Rescue Tower One to be Reopened Sun Mar 06 Joey

The two story public saftey tower on Coronado Island has been dorment
since the fiscal crisis closed the doors on the public facility in 2005. A
private corporation recently acquired the land and quietly rebuilt the
facility from the inside out. Rescue Tower One (RTO) quietly reopened the
doors to the facility on this drizzling afternoon. Located in the Coronado
Ferry Landing, the tower will provide emergency services for the bay and open
waters, on contract with the City of Prospect, at a far more economical rate
than the city-run facilities previously operated on.
The reopening of Rescue Tower One has stirred renewed intrest in
revitalizing the quaint community of Cononado. The Ferry Landing is having
talked with the Port of Prospect to extablish regular ferry service once more
between the harbor and the island, allowing for pedestrian and bicycle
traffic to circumvent the long drive down through National City to reach the
island by car. In addition, the Coronado Yacht Club has reopened private
leasing options for mooring luxury boats, and residential vessels. Rumors of
a new five star restaraunt or night club moving into the old "Boathouse"
building are also being heard in the talk around town.

is (a few people get it right), and a whole mountain of snark directed at
Simone. Much of it is poorly spelled. A particularly popular response is an
individual who says he has identified Simone's "fiance" and found a better
picture of him: it's a stock image of a Jack Daniels bottle.

Taking over the old "Bagels N' Bytes" location, the original cyber cafe has
been expanded upon. There is now a bookstore and zine library, a hackspace

The Lawyer of Mindy Rose called a press conference to make it clear that her
death was not a suicide, but rather that she was 'suicided.' While working
with the government, she came into posession of documents regarding a
half-a-billion dollar aid package she was working on. What was supposed to be
plane loads of food and medical supplies arriving in Syria turned out to be
plane loads of military-grade weapons.
Following the press conference a number of arrests were made. The most
prominent of which is the Wisconsin Republican Senator, as well as the entire
C-level employees of "Yummy Happy Healthy Organics," and most of their baord
of directors.
Yummy Happy Healthy Organics is a subsidiary of Pentex. A spokeswoman from
Pentex made it clear that the management of YHHO works independently of
Pentex, and that this is a shock to the multi-national conglomerate.
The stock of YHHO plummeted rapidly before being delisted. FBI and DEA agents
were seen outside of the offices of YHHO and many employees were leaving
either in tears or handcuffs.
The Senator's spokesperson said that "These allegations are patently
ridiculous." Two hours later he himself was indicted.

Restraining Order Tue Mar 29 Esme

We often hear of crazed superfans stalking hollywood celebrities but not too
often of them harassing eachother. But thats exactly what has been going on
between Esme Lefevre, frontwoman for Seasons of the Witch, and Kirby Wallace,
champion of the Poker Circuit. Camera footage from The Dive bar and The Crypt
Nightclub shows Wallace committing acts of violence on seemingly random other
patrons before confronting the rock icon in a threatening mannner. In both
cases, security from the bar, Lefevre's private security and a veritable army
of concerned onlookers drove Wallace away from Lefevre. Lefevre's camp is
saying enough is enough and a restraining order has been filed against Kirby
Wallace for the rocker's protection. Lefevre herself was unavailable for
comment. Her security had the following to say. "It is not in Miss Lefevre's
best interest to be on camera at the present time as Miss Wallace is a local
and could gain some idea of the boss's whereabouts from the background of the
shot. This is something we want to avoid."

Continued gang violence in the Harbor District! People huddle in their homes
for fear of the rash of mass shootings! Last Thursday night at the corner of
Lincoln and Canary police responded to reports of shots being fired from a
passing vehicle. Mahud, who works at the Cash'n'Go across the street
witnessed the altercation:
"My friend, it was terrible! Bullets flying everywhere! It was one of
those drive by attacks. Three cars filled with men with guns! Just spraying
this group of thugs coming out of my cousin Farheed's Gulp'n'Go. How are we
supposed to do business in this!?"
This attack came right on the heels of a man walking into Paco's Tacos on Comet
and Harbor and opening fire. More innocents caught in the crossfire of this
gang violence and mass shootings that continue to rock our community. We
asked Assemblyman Bert Humphries about his thoughts on the matter:
"Well what do you expect with Mexico right across the border shipping
us all their killers and rapists?! Once President Trump is in office we'll
round up all this scum and put them to work building the wall. Once it's
done.. We'll throw them off onto the other side!"

In our continuing series on gang violence we bring you another story
from close to home. Tijuana is a popular tourist destination for spring
revelers but it has its darker side. Mexican police responded to a call early
this morning and discovered the dismembered remains. Not an uncommon
occurance in the brutal drug scenes of Mexico but a rarer event in the
tourist loving city of Tijuana. Police are still working to identify the
victims.

Disaster in abandoned house Wed Apr 06 Ruta

The old Labanauskas home a couple of blocks away from the popular Smoke and
Barley pub was the site of a bizarre assault last night. Three UC Prospect
students reportedly trespassed into the property with cameras. Two of them
had injuries that required hospitalization, one of which who had a board
nailed to his eye, and multiple broken bones. The third student, who is the
only one named, one Mark Donavan, was seen by police running down the streets
shouting inteligibly. When he was finally questioned, his only words were,
"They didn't need their eyes anymore.. I saved them from their sight.. it was
too horrible." Mark is now suspected of assualting his friends, perhaps due
to some dormant mental disorder, which may have been triggered suddenly. He
is being held in Prospect's most reputable asylum for observation. Police are
warning all citizens to stay away from the old Labanauskas home. The family
has recently experienced the death of their daughter Ruta. Understandably
they have issued no comment at this time.

AMERICA'S MOST HAUNTED (WENDESDAY, Seas. 1, Ep. 3):
Tonight, on America's Most Haunted, Abatha Tilten and her crew visit what is
considered to be one of the Golden State's most haunted spots. Known by
Prospect's surfing community as "Surfer's Cove", this remote and coveted
beach, nestled between high cliffs and palatial estates, is rumored to be
occupied by the ghost of the 1995 Banzai Pipeline surfing champion, Brody
Giovanni Salvino.
Brody is the subject of the documentary "Brah Brody" and the feature film
"Locked In." The local urban legend, who was killed by a Great White shark
attack in 1998, is depicted as a lost and wandering spirit tied to the Cove's
plutonian shores. Interviews of locals recount strange incidents where
Brody's ghost seemingly provides protection or guidance. While others recall
more terrifying experiences, including nightmares, unexplained poltergeist
activity and possible possession, all attributed to the legendary phantom of
the 90s.

Naked Ex Lover stalks Simone Blake Thu Apr 14 Martine

Simone Blake Stalked by Naked Ex-Lover
A Prospect man was arrested on stalking and harassment charges today outside
the home of Councilman Larry Dwyer. The councilman, who has been seen at hot
spots around town with former pop sensation Simone Blake was unavailable for
comment. The stalker, identified as Jerry Haltom, is a student at Prospect
University. Celebrity Gossip Reporter, yours truly caught the entire event on
video.
Haltom followed Blake to Dwyer's home, stripped down naked in the
driveway and proceeded to profess his love for Simone Blake who hid inside
the councilman's home. Haltom actually attempted to enter the house by
running for the door with his considerably large penis flapping in the wind.
At least Simone Blake knows how to pick the right cut of meat. Dwyer gave
chase but instead tripped and fell all over himself on the driveway.
Fortunately Simone Blake was able to scare Haltom away from the house by
yelling at him. Pitter patter girls. Isn't Councilman Dwyer dreamy? Just goes
to show that politicians should leave the fisticuffs to real men. Fortunately
due to him falling on his ass in pursuit of Haltom, no charges can be pressed
against Dwyer.
Haltom was just one of Blake's boy toys who was screaming about how he
was tired of being her secret and wanted to be together with her forever.

Blake probably doesn't want to ruin her meal ticket in Councilman

t-shirt and blue jeans, standing in some kind of antique shop.

countenance and similar dress. Holding a fashionable walking cane that

Malcolm states emotionlessly with a half-hearted shake of the walking cane.

Beachgoers received a grisly surprise earlier this week when dozens of
dead seagulls fell out of the sky. State wildlife officials estimate that
about 150 birds died, and say they are still investigating the cause.
Kelly Fernandez, a spokesperson for the California Department of Fish
and Wildlife, says that the birds did not die from trauma, starvation, or bad
weather, all of which have caused mass bird kills in the past. She added that
there does not appear to be any human health threat. "Preliminary testing and
examination have ruled out diseases transmissable to humans, and most of the
common toxins we might expect. We're continuing to run tests, but right now,
we don't have any reason to believe the beach is contaminated."
Mass bird deaths are rare, but not unprecedented. In 2011,
approximately 5,000 blackbirds and starlings fell out of the Arkansas sky,
and another 500 died in Louisiana. The deaths were blamed on New Years
fireworks causing the birds to become disoriented.

Buddhist Treasures Go Missing Fri Oct 14 News Service

An armored truck carrying antiques from San Francisco's Hua Zang Si temple was
found destroyed outside city limits last night in what may have been a
terrorist attack. The truck was transporting statues, sarcophagi and weapons
dating back to Japan's Heian period to an exhibition at the Prospect Museum
of Art. The missing drivers and the vehicle's condition, which was described
by responding officers as a "total loss", have lead police to suspect
terrorism may be involved.
"This is a tragedy," Eric Sykes, curator of the Prospect Museum of Art said,
"Most of these items are over one thousand years old. For them to be
destroyed like this is highly reminiscent of what the Taliban did to the
statues of Buddha in Bamiyan. It is possible that this was a symbolic attack."
Many of the objects being transported were originally brought over from Japan
in 1860 on the famous Kanrin Maru as gifts of good will, which were then
donated to the temple. The Hua Zang Si temple has expressed outrage over the
apparent attack but was unable to offer further comment at this time.

The news again reports, offering little commentary other than speculation as to
what corporation or organization the artist may be targeting with her message
against invasions of privacy and advocatation of personal freedom. They also
mention the previous mural by the underground artist Pythia has been
senselessly defaced by unknown persons. Another painting has appeared, this
time at Lincoln and Ash.
This mural is painted on the side of the Transit Stop, very visible to all
passersby.
This painting is not so large as a full wall mural. It is about 12' x 8' and
done in a style much like a WW2 era Propaganda Poster. The style is still
signature political cartoon meets psychedelia but with a darker, more surreal
and imposing atmosphic quality.
The central figures are a young woman strapped to an old fashioned doctors
table with her feet and hands in shackles. She is dressed as if she were some
sort of airline stewardess with a little pillbox hat, and the expression on
her face is one of terror. On she table behind her are test tubes, and other
such lab equipment including urine sample beakers but they are turned upside
down.
The other figure is a man in a lab coat, with a maniacal expression on his face
and brandishing a comically HUGE syringe menacingly at the woman. His
features very much are reminiscent of Joseph Mengele, though the armband
around his bicep isnt a swastika, the emblem is in fact apparently purposely
blurred as if censored. Behind him there is a very old fashioned TV
screen/monitor on which is a faceless man in a suit jacket and tie, from the
chest up, seeing to be watching like the Orwellian 'Big Brother'. The flags
in the corner of the room are also obscured, as if they could be any nation
or organizations symbols. Their presence does indicate an imposing air of
authoritarianism. The background of the entire piece is dark and shadowy and
there are red streaks vertically, as if the 'camera lens' that the viewer is
seeing it through has been sprayed with blood and it is dripping down like a
curtain over this scene. There is a poster beside the TV screen in red white
and blue declaring "Trust But Verify", a clipboard on the countertop with the
heading "Need to Know Basis", and the overall caption at the bottom of the
cartoon saying :
"For the Greater Good, We Must Know All."
It would at least on the surface seem that the artist is making a statement
against drug testing, or more generally invasions of privacy by the
government in general.

On the side of an old building close to UC Prospect's campus, someone's tagged
the side of a building with a bit of calligrafiti (calligraphy as graffiti).
The poem is four lines of white text (below) with a stylized bird skull and
wings above. The whole installation is approximately eight feet across and
six feet high and probably six or so feet off the ground.
"Beyond the seas
to where Ravens follow
comes the King
into his Hollow"

Gangland Hit Leaves 2 Dead
Our next story is about Gang Violence. According to the F.B.I. Some 33,000
violent street gangs, motorcycle gangs, and prison gangs with about 1.4
million members are criminally active in the U.S. and Puerto Rico today. Many
are sophisticated and well organized; all use violence to control
neighborhoods and boost their illegal money-making activities, which include
robbery, drug and gun trafficking, prostitution and human trafficking, and
fraud. Many gang members continue to commit crimes even after being sent to
jail.
One such gang known as the Dark Angels Motorcycle Club, which FBI reports have
members stretching from California to Miami, lost their President and
Founder: Dwayne Vincent Angelica. The 34 year old Miami born male was a
suspect in numerous criminal acts, but police were never able to prosecute.
According to investigators, the Dark Angels Motorcycle Club were trying to
gain more influence within the city. Unfortunately, someone pushed back and
Mr. Angelica was found dead near his motorcycle which, like the victim, was
riddled with bullet holes. The other victim was Barry Johnston, a 26 year old
male from Miami, Florida and fellow member of the Motorcycle Club. He, too,
was shot to death. To make matters more gruesome, the President of the MC was
also found decapitated. The deaths occurred at F St. and Ash. St.
Investigators said that one officer, who wished to remain anonymous, stated
that it may have been symbolic to cutting the head off of the organization.
Police are expected to increase their activity in order to watch for further
retaliation.

daughter.

Meeting to Discuss Proposition 64 Sun Nov 20 Steele

There is a small blurb on radio and one of the local news stations, but it's
all over social media.
Steele Smith, owner of Down the Rabbit Hole, one of Prospect's thirteen medical
marijuana dispensaries, has called for everyone to rally together to get
Prospect's bureaucracy in gear to get permits for recreational dispensaries
going. He asks that anyone and everyone join him in a brainstorming session.
Bring your influential friends, bring your money, but, for now, leave your
weed at home. All opinions, for and against, are welcome, but this will be a
peaceful meeting and a chance to get to know your neighbors. Only totally
legal options will be considered.
He will have all the information that you need if you're interested in starting
your own recreational (or medical) dispensary and will have his lawyers on
site to answer the more in-depth questions and possible representation if you

Another Mysterious Mural Appears! Tue Nov 22 Pythia

Commuters passing the area of Broadway and 4th reported the following discovery
on the side of a building that sits directly across from the Black Ridge
Building:
This mural seemed to magically appear on the side of the building.
It is another colorful, psychedelic piece measuring about 10 by 12. Those
familiar with recent works appearing in town will recognize the faces of the
earlier piece of work commonly referred to on the street as "Fanatics"
:Donald Trump, Fidel Castro, Osama bin Laden, Ted Nugent, Bill Gates, Ann
Coullter, etc. These figures are assembled like a mob, carrying pitchforks
and torches. Their faces are angry, murderous even, as they are focused on
the figure in the foreground.
And who are they chasing? Two pitiful figures are huddled together in the
foreground. Their clothes are torn, cuts and bruises indicating they've been
roughed up badly. On the left is a young man who is wearing a large metal
collar is around his neck, attached to a broken chain. He is holding an old
book. The painting on the cover of the book seems particularly odd, bolder
perhaps? As if its been carefully painted more than other parts of this
mural, though no title can be seen on the cover. The woman beside him
clutches him, looking back in horror at the advancing angry hoarde while the
man seems to be looking forward, hope and determination in his eyes.
In the distance behind the angry mod, a large tower burns in the night sky.
Its walls are cracked and crumbling, much like what is depicted in the Tower
card in Tarot decks.
At the bottom of the mural are the words: Not all who wander are lost.
In the lower left corner is the signature: Pythia. The "t" stylized in a
variation of an Iron Cross.

Murder of Crows Reopened for busin Mon Dec 05 Stevie

Murder of Crows is now reopened for business. The electronics have been fully
replaced and everything seems to be in working order.
The music played on a regular basis is typically -Rock and Country- music. One
can request a song, but no mosh pits will be allowed. If one begins to
encourage a mosh type atmosphere it is safe to assume that the bouncers break
it up. There are certain nights of the week set aside for "themes" these run
from 5pm to close and are the following:
Mondays: Metal Mondays - Bang your head to Pantera, Slayer, and all other sorts
of metal music.
Wednesdays: Whiskey Wednesdays - Top shelf whisky twenty five percent off. All
other whiskey is forty percent off.
Thursdays: Local Live Music - Usually a local rock or metal band. Otherwise,
80's cover artists tend to fill the roster.
Fridays: Karaoke Night - God help us. Drink and sing a song of your choice.
Saturdays: Country Night - Girls in tight jeans and cowboy boots meet with
country boys to drink, dance and be merry.
