Info

“Tiger, tiger, burning bright...”

Located on the first forested mountain south of the city, the Garou Big Cat Reserve is Southern California's premier facility for big cat rescue, rehabilitation and protection - as well as a community pillar of education about these magnificent animals and our role in their continued survival. While the primary focus of the Reserve is and always will be the welfare of our cats, guided tours and educational sessions are available to be scheduled in advance. The Reserve also includes facilities for gala events - and hosts several fundraisers throughout the year, including the annual Annette Garou Memorial event - as well as being open to play host for other good causes in the community. Contact Phillipe Garou for more information.

  • Rescue: The Reserve staff are all highly-trained professionals and often work with law enforcement and animal rescue groups when dealing with situations involving exotic cats of any stripe or spot.
  • Events: The Reserve hosts several of its own fundraising events each year, as well as occasionally playing host for other charitable organizations.
