  • Moonhaven
Aria and Shawn Moonhaven are the direct linear ancestors of most of the Scottish side of the family, and given the time period involved (the 1600's), very possibly a lot of the rest of the family too. If you are a Moonhaven by blood rather than by marriage or adoption, there's a pretty good chance that Aria may be your great-to-the-nth-power grandmother. She's very much a sort of family legend on the Scottish side; she tends to show up once every 25-50 years, checks in on her family, and then returns to the call of the oceans. This is the first time she's been away from Scotland, that anyone might know about. But, if you're part of the family, she may be your ancestor, or at least someone you've heard of, if you're versed in family history.
  • Immortal
Aria's been around almost half a millennium, and while she's been mostly around Scotland, she has briefly gone to coastal cities throughout Europe and the Mediterranean during those five centuries. If your character is similarly long-lived, and from the European continent, there's a chance they might have bumped into each other at some time during the past. Give me a page and we can see if we can work out any (really old) history!
  • Ocean Dweller
For hundreds of years in the oceans around Scotland, and even now, while she's staying at the Moonhaven compound, she's still out in the oceans around Prospect often. If your character has an aquatic bent, there's a chance they might have bumped into each other/know about each other. Since there's not exactly a channel for us fishyfolk, throw me a page, and we'll see what we can come up with!
  • Bygone
Aria is a mermaid, a being from an age when magic flowed more freely in the world. Mermaids are sometimes rumored in mythology to be credited with all sorts of healing powers, and even immortality (the latter true in Aria's case!), and there's rumor that drinking the blood or eating the flesh of a mermaid may confer that immortality on someone. Not to mention she's a magical being, which may come in handy for any sort of magical ritual or "spell component". There's a decent chance that someone might be looking for Aria for darker purposes.
