    SCENE i

Everybody had their demons, their own secrets that they'd do anything to be kept to themselves and Mikah was no different. She fought extra hard to keep everything she knew about herself in check in case it would ruin her in the future. She had several skeletons in her closet and most of them stayed put away, never coming back to haunt her except one. There was one that she could just simply not shake and she couldn’t understand why. But maybe she didn't really want to shake it and get rid of it; maybe it was a part of her that she wanted to keep. She didn't know and she wasn't about to find out if she had the strength to overcome the eating disorder that has plagued her life for the past several years.

It wasn't always present and she could go months and feel just fine until the eating disorder reared its ugly head and she saw body fat on her body that she had to rid herself of. Was it actually there? No, it wasn't but she saw it there so she had to do something about. So it turned into endless number of runs and barely eating but staying hydrated. And sometimes, when she had to eat when her daughter or boyfriend was around, she would find a way to discreetly empty her stomach without anybody knowing. It wasn't a smart thing on her part but there were some days that she couldn't bare it and had to do it.

So that's why she found herself sitting in a doctor's office, waiting to be checked over to be cleared to compete. It was something that was forced upon her by her doctor in New York. He said that he wouldn't clear her to compete if she didn't get a check up before her first official match. She was not happy with his decision but she had no other choice but to comply with his orders if she wanted to compete in her first ever match in Legacy. She knew that her weight was low, even if she didn't feel as light as the scale said she was. She had been checked over before and somehow managed to get away with a low weight but this time, her doctor in New York wouldn't look past it.

A sigh escaped her lips as her cell phone rang and she pulled it out of her purse and looked to see her boyfriend's cute face on the screen as he called. She smiled to herself before swiping to the left to answer it.

;;Mikah   “Miss me already?”

She giggled a bit as she listened to him talk on the other end.

;;Mikah  “No, I'm...busy with something for my match at Legacy. It's retarded but I have to do what I have to do, I suppose.”

She wasn't about to tell him that she had to get checked out before her match because that would just bring up questions. Questions she wasn't ready to answer. And she definitely wasn't ready to be heavily monitored either.

;;Mikah   “No, I'll be back in Baltimore probably early Sunday morning around 4 am. It's early, I know but otherwise I'll be cutting it close. Yeah, I miss you too.”

A smile graced her face as she talked with him before her eyes flickered up to see the doctor walk in and she groaned audibly.

;;Mikah  “Sorry babe, I have to go. I'll text you laters.”

Mikah barely gave him time to say goodbye when she hung up and shoved her phone back into her purse. She looked at the doctor, who was easily around her age and seemed to look very professional. He watched as he looked through her file, that was obviously faxed to this hospital from her doctor.

||Dr. McKinley    “Hello there, Meekah--”

She didn't give him a chance to continue.

;;Mikah  “You would think that somebody with a doctorate degree would know how to pronounce one's name. It's MY-kah, idiot.”

She didn't have time to hold his hand through the check up. Just like she didn't have time to hold her opponents' hands through the match. They still didn't seem to care about the match and she did care. She wanted to win and she wanted to beat the living hell out of them.

||Dr. McKinley   “Excuse me? Did you just call me an idiot for mispronouncing your name, which has more than one pronounciation?”

Mikah looked at him as if he was retarded. She didn't care that her name had more than one pronounciation because the way her name was pronounced is the only way that matters.

;;Mikah   “You heard me; I didn't stutter.”

The doctor just looked at her, a slightly amused look plastered all over his face. It was evident that he had never come across somebody like Mikah; somebody that didn't care if she hurt their feelings or if she made them upset or cry. It wasn't in her nature.

||Dr. McKinley   “I'm Doctor McKinley. I will be doing a check up to make sure that you're healthy to compete for your match.”

She gave him an unimpressed look.

;;Mikah  “Really? I never would have guessed that was what you were here to do. Have you been talking to one of my bird-brained opponents?”

Now he didn't seem so amused by her retorts and she watched as he took a deep breath.

||Dr. McKinley  “You do know that I have the power to make the decision to not clear you for your match at your show, right? So I would watch what I say, if I were you because I hold all the power.”

She laughed before rolling her eyes. She relaxed a little bit as he grabbed her wrist to take her pulse even though the slutty nurse had done so earlier. She sat there, sighing a bit as h held his fingers against her pulse and watched his watch. She then watched him write something on her chart before he grabbed the tool to look in her mouth. She did whatever he asked, breathed in and held it while he listened to her heart and lungs and breathed out when he said. She then was asked to stand up and bend over to touch her toes. She didn't know why she had to do that but she did it. She didn't like the threat of not being able to compete for Legacy.

||Dr. McKinley   “Now I am going to have you step on the scale once more.”

She looked at him, a frown crossing her face as he took her out into the other room to have her step on the scale. She sighed before looking away from him as he moved the little things back and forth before he stopped moving.

||Dr. McKinley   “You only weigh 109 pounds, Mikah. Let's go back to the room.”

Mikah rolled her eyes at him before following him slowly back into the small exam room. She sat back down and crossed one leg over the other. She watched as he once again scribbled something down on the chart before his eyes found hers.

||Dr. McKinley  “You are underweight for your height, Mikah. You should be closer to 125 pounds rather than just a measly 100 pounds. I don't know if I can clear you..”
He would have continued, but Mikah jumped the gun and interrupted him.

;;Mikah   “Who the fuck do you think you are?! You don't even know me, yet you're threatening to stop my career in its tracks before you even think about what that would do to me. I know I don't weigh very much but that doesn't affect my ability to kick somebody's ass. Don't be a jerk and do the right fucking thing or I'll kick you in your not-so-pretty face.”
She scowled at him, her eyes narrowed in his direction. He just gave her a look as he sat down on the stool that was designed just for doctors.

||Dr. McKinley  “You didn't let me finish. I was going to say that I don't know if I can clear you unless you can promise me that you will eat some and gain a little weight.”

She looked at him, narrowing her eyes at him, trying to decide what he was trying to get out of it. Or if he had any ulterior motives. She didn't know him but she didn't trust him. She hardly trusted anybody and doctors hardly ever made it onto the list.

;;Mikah   “Fine, I'll work on it. I'll try. Promise.”

She was a liar and she was a good one at that. She was also good at manipulating people into getting what she wanted. She flashed him her smile as she sat there, waiting for him to give her the okay to leave.

;;Mikah   “Look, sir. I have things to do other than sit here and listen to you tell me that I am underweight. I have a Ladies of Legacy five way match to prepare for. So I'd be really happy if you would just let me leave.”

He laughed a little bit before nodding his head, allowing her to get up and gather her things to leave. He didn't have anything else to say; not wantiing to start another agrument.

SCENE ii

A flash of blonde hair was seen walking through the hallways. She adjusted the bottoms of her wrestling attire, which consisted of boyshort like bottoms with a stylish hole cut out on her right hip and a bra like top. She stopped, bending over to adjust the legging things she had over her boots and then re-adjusted the garters she kept right above her knee pads. She then re-examined the color she had chose; turquoise. She then felt the presence of somebody behind her and she turned around to see Rebecca Bradley standing there, microphone in hand and a camera crew behind her.

Mikah blinked a couple of times as she looked at Rebecca then at the camera man that was standing behind her. She cleared her throat a little bit as she adjusted her top before checking her belly button ring.

;;Mikah   “Can I help you?”

Rebecca smiled and moved the microphone up to her lips.

;;Mikah   “Or are you too stupid to understand how to talk? I mean, I get it you might be mildly retarded, but I would've thought that you could have said something instead of creeping up behind me as I was bent over, fixing my kneepads.”

She raised an eyebrow in Rebecca's direction as she awaited a dreaded question.

<<Rebecca Bradley  “Yes, Mikah, this is your first match here with Legacy Wrestling, and it happens to be a Ladies of Legacy five way match. What are your thoughts on this being your first match?”

Rebeca moved the microphone over to Mikah, waiting for her answer. Mikah looked at the dark haired woman for a moment, letting the question 'linger' in the air as she thought about the answer.

;;Mikah  “My thoughts? On this match? That none of the other fucking cunts in the back seem to care about? Why should I even care about it? I mean, I do because I'm going to kick their ass. And I'm going to love it. But here, you want my thoughts so fucking bad?”

Mikah looked to Rebecca then at the camera before shrugging her shoulders.

;;Mikah  “The match in itself on paper looks good and of course, I just make it look ten times better. And I can guarantee it that people will be there to see me in that match, kicking their asses because I can. The match should be good because it's my first match in 2014. Does that garner the buzz that I might be a little 'rusty' in the ring? Sure, but I'm not. I've been training in and out of the ring for months, never letting my talent dwindle down to nothing. So, I'm going to win my first match here at Legacy against the flakes that don't seem to care.”
Rebecca nodded her head before moving on.

<<Rebecca Bradley  “Right. Moving on. Ashley Williams, one of your opponents in this five way Ladies of Legacy match, didn't have much to say about you. Do you have anything to say about her?”

Mikah tilted her head to the side for a moment or two.

;;Mikah   “Well, let's see here, Becca. She doesn't seem to care too much about this match, now does she? She doesn't seem to know me very well other than, and this is in her words, Rebecca, I'm feisty in the ring and willing to do anything to get the job done in the ring. Feisty? I didn't know that I was feisty but sure, if that's how she wants to view me, go for it. As for the other part, yes, she's right. I will do whatever it takes to ensure that I get the win. And if I have to make some stupid bitch bleed through their mouth ala Cupid's Chokehold, I will. Do I care if it hurts her and her ugly face? No. She's more concerned with when she gets to face Angelica Night. She's more worried about the future than she's worried about the match that's just literally right around the corner. But that distraction right there will cost the stupid bitch the match and I will laugh.”

Mikah flicked her long blonde locks over her shoulder before leaning back against the wall a little bit.

<<Rebecca Bradley  “Your other opponents seem to be quiet about the match. What are your thoughts about them?”

A chuckle escaped Mikah's lips before she shook her head. She had a lot to say about the other girls who didn't care enough about the match. Some weren't very nice and some were downright cruel.

;;Mikah   “You know? Those cunts don't deserve to be talked about, like they're so fucking important. Do you see all the attention they're getting from me? I'm wasting my time in talking about them, and their names still get put out there, like they have something to be proud of, something to boast about. Well, they suck and I'm better than they are and I can't wait to get my hands on them. They can think what they want about me, which I'm sure they will because everybody is judgmental. It's all there in each and every one of us. And they're all stupid sluts and they're inferior to me.”

She paused for a moment.

;;Mikah   “They're ruining the product; they're ruining women's wrestling for the company and that's a shame on them. They should get fucked and get lost, nobody cares about them. I'm sure there won't be any Riley Sanders signs in the audience or Sarah Parsons signs in the audience either. Will there be Mikah signs? Fuck if I know but there damn well should be. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere so those idiotic fans better get it through their thick skulls. Bitches like Sarah Parsons and Rina Kirilos aren't going to be around forever and I'm sure that Riley Sanders won't stick around much longer either. So you all better just accept it because it's not going to get better for you.”

Mikah looked down at her nails before turning her attention back to Rebecca.

;;Mikah   “Any other stupid questions, Rebecca? So we can give more attention to those stupid trollops?”

Mikah raised an eyebrow in the interviewer's direction. Patience had never been something Mikah had excelled in and she wasn't one to try to hide it either. She didn't care if she was rude or blunt, she'd say what she wanted without remorse. It was something she treasured.

<<Rebecca Bradley  “Just one more question. What are your thoughts on Christian Othniel?”

Mikah's attention quickly turned back to Rebecca, staring at her for a moment or two. Christian had nothing to do with Mikah's match. But apparently people remembered the two's history in previous companies. They were attached at the hip in Manhattan and they were in a group known as Natural Selection back in Michigan. But they weren't aligned currently, so that had nothing to do with Mikah.

;;Mikah   “My thoughts on Christian Othniel? That's what you want to know for your last question?”

Mikah paused, to look at Rebecca once more. Rebecca, as if on cue, nodded her head in response.

;;Mikah  “Christian has no relevance to this match. He and I are not currently aligned. Are we friends? Maybe. Maybe not. Bt that'snot a you should be focusing on, Rebecca. You should be focusing on the only people that have relevance to my match. Or better yet, you should be focusing on me. Not Chrstian. Moi. Now, if you don't mind, I have other things to do rather than talk to bimbos like you. Ciao.”

With that being said, Mikah pushed past Rebecca to head to the locker room to check her phone and to check with Leighton's babysitter. She didn't have any more time to spare for Rebecca. She was now ready for her match at Break on Through.
