2014.07.16: PWN - LEGACY - From one business man to another Part 1
It was about three years ago that I decided to take a sabbatical from the wrestling business. Don't get me wrong, I always loved the business and I always had a gift in it; one that I never wanted to go to waste but unfortunately--things happen and injuries occur that sidelined me a lot longer than I had imagined that it would.
I keep hearing how the business has flourished lately, how everybody and their brother uses the social media referred to as Twitter to get there free advertisement and while I was never one to embrace the "popular" thing to do, I still decided that it might be a good idea to see what was going on and I will be honest, I'm glad that I checked it out because businesses are already very interested in what I have to bring.
It is a very beautiful and warm evening in California, I had been out and about all day dealing with some business at Goldstein Enterprises and after my meeting; I had checked Twitter to see that I had two offers to come sign a contract with them.
One was stationed in my home, right out of California and King Treborn had immediately contacted me, something that I liked because being a man who takes initiative himself, it always showed me who was leaders and who was followers.
But then you also have a promotion station out of Las Vegas and much like the promotion stationed out of California, they too showed initiative and stepped up as Perry Wallace was in fact the very first man who offered me a spot on the roster.
Now being the businessman that I am, I am going to hear both men out and I'm going to take both of them into consideration before making a decision but first--since I am closer to King Treborn then I will hear him out first.
Sitting in the back of my stretch limousine, I look down at my platinum Rolex encrusted with diamonds and see that I have been riding for about thirty minutes which means that I should be getting close to arriving. I always dress very lavish, especially in big business meetings like this so I decided not to change from my earlier business meeting when I was wearing my Swiss tailored suit simply known as the diamond armor which cost me 3.2 million dollars and is aligned with 600 black diamond’s that lace the lapel and 280 are on the buttons of the jacket. As I sat in the back of the limousine very patiently, I noticed that we came to a stop as the back window rolled down and my personal butler turned his head to look back at me, he has a very heavy French accent.
"We are here Sir."
I nodded my head very slowly to show that I acknowledged everything that he said and not to be rude; I replied to him in my very deep voice.
"Thank you Jarvis."
As I watched Jarvis get out of the limousine, he walked over to my side and opened the door as I climbed out and felt the warm gentle breeze run along my face. Beginning to walk towards the doors, I looked back at Jarvis as he still stood there still holding my door open.
"I'll only be a minute Jarvis; keep the engine running."
Jarvis knew better than to ever question me so he simply nodded his head and stood there very professionally, just as he has been taught to over the years. Walking into the building, it was not big or lavish like mine but then again--not everybody owns their own enterprise like I do but as I approached the front desk; there behind it sat a young lady as she looked up at me and spoke in a very sweet voice.
"May I help you sir?"
Smiling widely, I placed my hands on the wooden surface of the front desk as you could see the giant 24 karat gold ring that was on my finger.
"I do believe that you can darling, I am Mr. Goldstein and I am here to see Mr. Treborn."
As she nodded her head, I noticed by her demeanor that she was obviously expecting me just as I was told.
"Yes sir, Mr. Treborn is expecting you. Just head on down the hall and he is the third door on the right."
Moving my hands off of the front desk, I smiled at the young lady and gave her a wink as she was very polite and very helpful.
"Thank you very much darling."
Turning to face the hall, I walked down the hall just like the young lady had told me and as I came to the third door on the right--I saw that the door was shut and being a business owner like myself, I knocked on the door and waited until I heard a voice say come on in. As I reached down and grabbed the silver doorknob in my hand, I turned it and opened the door as there sitting behind a beautifully crafted mahogany wooden desk was the man himself, Mr. King Treborn. Showing nothing but respect towards the man, I entered with my right hand stretched out to offer a handshake which was a gentleman's way of greeting oneself.
"You must be Mr. Treborn. I am Mr. Goldstein; it's a real pleasure to make your acquaintance."
After having shaken hands with the man, I could tell by the firmness of his shake that he was in fact a man and that he was hopefully as good as his word.
