2014.07.11: The Veil Breach pt 3
Jax calls those he could contact to join him in setting a trap at the arena. With business closed for the evening, mortal eyes should not be able to pry where they are unwanted. The tiny Seneschal is wearing his best suit for the occasion. Finely pressed and lint free.
Madeline is meditating in a corner and over time the beautiful blonde disolves into nothing, the corner now filled with living shadows
Sentinel hasn't changed or anything yet. She's weaiting for the call to action. or the senechal to decide the two's fate.
Clarimond arrives! A cold breeze follows her inside, two ghouled bodyguards of large size follow her as well. One carries a shotgun over his shoulder, the other wields a heavy pistol. Clarimond strolls towards the group and bends her knees in curtsy, "It is not soon enough that I have met the rulers of this city." Her London accent flows beautifully over her young voice, "I am the Lady Clarimond Harcourt of Normandy, daughter of Ladislava the Stone, Tzimisce." But she doesn't seem like any Fiend! Her skin is smooth and without folding for one..
Silvana is actually nowhere in sight at least none that any of you can see as she sits at the waiting.
The shadows in the corner swirl lazily
Sentinel tenses a bit and moves to Jax's side protectively. Her face never changes expressions.
Jax offers a subtle bow to the Old Tzimsce with her introduction, "Unfortunate to meet under current circumstances, but pleased to see you here. I am Jacob Allen Xander, also known as Jax. When the chaos subsides, we can speak together properly. I suggest taking up a cozy place to wait, this may take a little while.
The shadows fill the corner and undulate slowly
Clarimond|| Time passes but fortunately, even with the destruction of their blighted nest, the two traitors to their sect are still in Prospect, so it does not take them a significant amount of time to arrive. The door opens. Unfortunately for the Malkavian, he does not feel a desire, or need to activate Obfuscate. The powerful, former Primogen is commanded, just as his former Prince accomplice, to appear before Jax, and Madeline. The door opens casually, and in walk the two twisted monsters that nearly exposed the supernatural world to the mortals. The two criminals that nearly cost all present -everything.-
Jax moves once he has sent his call to his former clanmate. Moving to a position in the arena pit that will force his subject to enter the room fully to find him. Being small makes simply standing against the walls of the pit an easy hiding spot keeping Silvana's sights clear when he arrives. "The call has been sent, ready yourselves. Now we wait." Putting in an earbud so the warning from Lucien can be heard when called. When they enter to find those calling them, the door is closed and locked by the ghoul bodyguard as the small man steps out revealing the Majesty the minature Kindred truly has, inspiring Awe and Fear to those looking upon him.
The shadows shift when the door opens spreading across the ceiling
Silvana starts her aiming at the evil ventrue as he walks in waiting for the door to close and seal them inside.
Sentinel also tenses, like an animal ready to pounce. Her wings move forward a bit.
Clarimond grimaces when the two enter, remembering their foul practices quite vividly. She is against a wall, her body guards in front of her, their weapons pointing right at the Ventrue as they were told that he is the weaker of the two. On command they will unleash their barrage of lead.
Clarimond|| The Ventrue begins to scream right before the Majesty takes effect, "WHAT? I AM THE PRINCE!! THIS IS MY DOMAI-" He is cut off and in absolute awe of Jax. The Malkavian doesn't say anything yet. The two kneel before Madeline and Jax as they are humbled by their new keepers.
Jax is not pleased, his anger is like a pissed off drill instructor, "YOU ENTER MY CITY WITH TROUBLESOME INTENTIONS. YOU WILL NOW KNEEL BEFORE ME, BEGGING FOR FORGIVENESS!" his command is to both of them, though his fellow Ventrue gets the worst glare of hatred.
The shadows undulate and swirl slowly on the ceiling, majest focused sharply upon the pair
Sentinel tries to reach out for the Malkavian's right arm. "Madeline, do you want the left?" Make a wish?" she says in a deep voice, her eyes glowing a fierce turquoise.
From the hovering shadow, thick, dark tendrils shoot out and seek to entwine the Malkavian's left limbs
Clarimond waits patiently while keeping her pets at bay, "They have it dears.. settle down." She watches coldly as the disgraces are punished. She feels no guilt or empathy in their favor. The order of law is preserved.
The shadowy tendrils wind about the Malkavian's limbs then tighten and when Sentinel pulls, they seek to also exert force... poor malkavian
Sentinel pulls when she shadows do, chuckling. "Your sentence is death." she almost seems to enjoy this too much.
Clarimond|| The Ventrue screams in pain as Silvana's shot hits him square in the head! "DOMAAAIIIIIIN!!!" SOmething is wrong with him, clearly wrong. The Malkavian on the other hand just grins as Sentinel grips his arm. Pop and snap! His arm comes off and Madeline's exertion only gives Sentinel more force! The Malkavian does not scream like a normal person, "AAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" He laughs? Seriously? The Malkavian deals with pain differently, "I AM ONLY A HERALD! YOU ARE ALL GOING TO DIE! THE FATHER OF US ALL RETURNS SOON! YOU WILL ALL DIE IN AN INFERNOOOOO!!!"
Jax scowls with the Malkavian's words, "Kill them both. We will learn from their ashes." Completely disgusted with the both of them, drawing his large revolver, pointing it at the Ventrue, "You will die like a dog, a failure of the Clan."
Sentinel grabs the other arm and simply pulls. "Here is a message for your master. Do. Not. Mess. With. The. Traditions." at every pause, she tries to pull each o his vertebrae apart with her own inhuman strength.
As the tendrils hold fast to the soon to be destroyed Malkavian, another tendril appears and shoots down from above, seeking to vanish down the screaming malkavian's throat
Sentinel tries to eat the bloody arm before it disolves. "Nothing like the taste of your enemies.."
A tenticle whips up to slap the arm out of Nel's mouth and then shakes a shadowy finger at her.. no no no
Clarimond watches the two traitors as they suffer every bit of agony that their victims suffered. It seems only fitting of course. She is especially delighted to be well out of reach of the blood spattering everywhere.
Clarimond|| The Ventrue is in agony. Being shot multiple times without dying cannot be good for one's nerves! But he is likely pissing off Jax even more, "DOMAAAAAIN! MY DOMAAAAAAIN MIIIIINE!!!" The Malkavian is about to laugh and rant again as Sentinel violently removes his other arm. But Madeline's tentacle immediately silences his wind pipe. His muffled cries are barely audible. His torso leaks blood, his skin growing paler, and paler.
Jax moves slowly closer to the fallen Ventrue, gun raised with deadly intent, "Let the agony remind you of your failure. Watch, as your master is torn apart before your eyes." firing two more shots.
Sentinel tilts her head at the tentacle. "Ma'am? If the prince does not want it. Please do not waste the blood. I could use it in my veins..." oh dear.
Sentinel eeps at the tentacle and nods. Maybe this is why she isnt sheriff huh?
Sentinel eeps at the tentacle and nods. Maybe this is why she isnt sheriff huh?
Clarimond|| The Ventrue is shot again and again! "DOMAAAII-" He never finishes his last word as Silvana's sniper rifle delivers Final Death to the Ventrue. His head explodes in a mess of bone, brain, and blood. The Ventrue's body falls backwards and twists, then lands stomach first on the floor amidst the blood. But seconds later his body begins to rapidly decay into dust at last, two hundred and thirty years past his mortal life's end. The Malkavian meets a worse fate! His arms are gone, which is painful enough, but Madeline decides to get creative. His heart is easily torn from the tendons and arteries that hold it in place, and out between the ribs, and out of the throat. Without a heart to pump blood, the Malkavian cannot function, and he too rapidly decays to dust, three hundred and forty years past his mortal life's end. Ashes, blood, and bone lay in puddles beside two severed arms.
Jax returns the revolver back to its holster under his jacket once the Ventrue's head is obliterated. His tone changing as he is forgiven, "That hurt me, more than it hurt you, brother." turning his attention on the other still hanging onto life despite being rended apart by gargoyle and tenticles of shadow. As they decay, he addresses his fellow Camarilla, "Gather their remains in separate bags, seal them. Ms Vega," turning to look up where she has been perched, "contact Peitro if he is still to be found. Perhaps the Giovanni can pull some sensible answers from them now."
The tendrils withdraw back into the shadowy mass with a soft caress to Sentinel's cheek. Slowly the shadows sink to the floor and when they disperse the form of Madeline stands there, her sapphire eyes black as pitch with the swirl of shadow
Silvana comes out of wherever she was hiding from at and moves to collect the ashes as she was told. She doesn't have her gun because well you need two hands to gather right.
Clarimond watches coldly as a head explodes, a heart is drawn out of a throat, and two bodies decay into ash. She watches the door for a moment, almost as if she expects reinforcments. But they do not come, these two had no other allies to speak of.
Jax steps over to Clarimond as the others take care of the remains, "Lady CLarimond," showing a friendly inviting smile, "Now that business has been tended to, perhaps we can chat for a bit before you must go." he gestures up over to the bar by the exit. "We have a fine collection of Bloodwine."
Madeline makes sure the ashes are collected and bagged with the least amount of contact to them by anyone then nods to the Elder "If I am no longer needed monseiur, I feel a need to take a very long shower"
Sentinel smiles and looks at the dark eyed Madeline "You must teach me that." she says. "It was a beautifulway of showing our displeasure." she nods "Yes. I can help get the Bloodwine." she almost seems pleased.
Silvana makes sure that everythings is collected and with glove so that there isn't much flesh touching involved.
Clarimond smiles, "Certainly. When I arrived here I did not expect to come across such.. dissident individuals. This city has already proven to be more eventful than New England was. When I came across the rumors that we had all been compromised, I immediately sent my ghouls to investigate. One thing led to another and here we are at last. As tradition dictates, I announce my presence in your city, out of respect for your claim, and the respect that is due one elder to another."
Jax bows his head to the Keeper, "If you must, you must." a smile is shown, though a hint of disappointment in her announced departure. Escorting the Lady Tzimsce over to the bar, "It is a shame to have lost two misguided Kindred, unfortunate that some cannot survive the long night." Pulling a stool out for her to sit, "You are not the first of your Old Clan to arrive in recent nights." awaiting her to sit, before he does.
Madelines eyes are still black as she inclines her golden head to the Elder and turns to go, disappointment or not the lady needs to cleanse herself of this night
Silvana is sure glad she was nowhere near the head explosion.
Sentinel nods 'i'd also like to welcome you to Prospect." she says. "It is a very....interesting town to say the least." she starts to clean up like a good gargoyle.
Clarimond smiles at everyone in turn. To Jax she replies, "I remember when such executions were common. When I was a fledgling, there were fewer means to enforce embrace limits, and beheadings were almost a nightly occurance in Norman lands. Those Saxon kindred.. so barbaric.." Her eyes mist over a bit before she continues, "Indeed I was drawn here for the same reasons that they were most likely. Word has reached all corners of the globe concerning this town's reputation. Curiosity, a desire to learn, to observe the strange energies here. It is not the volume of supernatural activity, but the type. Creatures we know barely anything about skulk in the shadows on a nightly basis. For one such as I, this is an opportunity to learn more about this world we find ourselves in. You could call me a scholar."
Jax climbs up into his seat, fixing his jacket's twist, "You will find a diverse array of strange beings within the city. I have seen many in my short time here. I think you will find that it is the societal interaction that is the most interesting aspect of the city. Are you familiar with Eszter Czarni? A fellow member of your ancient Clan."
Clarimond slides into her seat as well, "I do not believe I have had the pleasure of meeting her. Most of us tend to keep each other at a distance, we are not a very social clan, especially not with each other. But times such as this require a direct approach. I am in fact quite astounded that none of my kin were attracted to the rumors."
Silvana holds the bags and moves to stand near Jax. Her face doesn't show any emotion though she gives a polite nod to Clarimond now that she isn't cleaning
Jax nods in understanding as she explains the social quirk of the clan, "She may be out of town currently, a project she was interested in." The small man places his short arm kinda around Silvana's shoulders when she comes to stand next to him, "Call Lucien in to take those to a safe place and join us." returning his attention to the Lady, "Ms Vega handles my Kindred business. If ever you need get a hold of me, she is the one to contact. I'll be sure to have her pass on our contact information and location of Elysium, if you find the desire to socialize with us on occasion."
Clarimond smiles, "Hello again Silvana dear!" She replies to Jax, "Yes she was quite helpful in the investigation, never panicked once, even when her life was in grave danger. If that one is yours, you chose well indeed. My own ghouls are of good mortal stock. The two males I have are not as intelligent as your Silvana, but they are quite capable of standing between myself and an assassin. It is my dear valet who is most precious to me. Smart, full of life, full of innocence, she reminded me of myself when I was a mortal. She still does actually.. and.. she is my lover. I am considering her for the embrace actually but it is still too soon. A mere twenty years is not nearly long enough to make such a decision."
Silvana calls Lucien over and hands off the bags to him "Please put that in a safe place" she then moves to sit down besides Jax. She bows her head at Clarimond's compliments "You are too kind Ma'am" is about all she says, very quiet and sits all proper like.
Jax smiles in agreement of her assessment, "I have mentored many mortals in my time. Profiting many favors in the process. Education is the key consideration when bringing one into the fold. Without a proper schooling to inspire growth, one cannot hope to cope with what comes next. We see much of this lacking in our adversaries, leaving them only sheer numbers to count on."
Sentinel simply listens to the conversation >Its not often one sees things like this after all.
Clarimond nods slowly, "I have met one of the.. Sabbat recently. She was.. interesting. She spoke like that Malkavian did, ranting about the end of the world, wanting me to help her. I pretended to agree actually. She seemed unstable, and likely to violate the neutral zone. These past few nights have confirmed that I made the right decision not to trust her. The Sabbat have not changed in the two centuries that I rested in torpor, but the Camarilla has become quite competent indeed. You show an adherence to tradition, discipline, and the very noble codes that have allowed us all to survive for so long. I cannot speak for my entire clan, but I understand the purpose of your sect, and it pleases me to be in a city where you hold the reigns of power. I believe that we will all get along famously. The Sabbat does not seem to care about tradition anymore, or what little they cling to is heresy at best. I have heard rumors of fledgling packs of them scurrying about like rats, with little more ambition than to find their next meal. Yet Camarilla fledglings are the opposite. Quality over quantity is what has allowed us to survive."
Silvana stays at Jax's side quietly listening to the conversation as she tilts her head as she seems to know exactly who this sabbat is that she spoke with is.
Sentinel nods "Though I wonder if we have the right idea. Why they stay neutral."
Jax sighs slightly, "There are a few of the Sabbat that have become fanatical in their opposition, losing what meaning the Code of Milan intended. I have met a couple that had more sensible heads on their shoulders, though still, a very crass lot if you ask me. This city does face an issue that has led us to work together as one to protect our Sects. The Kindred of the city were almost wiped out once. A small group of Infernalists released a virus that killed off those before my arrival. We were able to iradicate distribution for the time, but without the ability to deal with the demonic presence involved, we have come to face this issue again, a possible new strain. Again, we have stopped distribution, but this time we intend to end it once and for all. Your assistance in this would be welcomed."
Clarimond nods, "Yes she mentioned this. I was wondering if it was but lunacy. Coming from you however, I am inclined to believe her story to be fact. She believes that this plague is a sign of the end times."
Clarimond adds, "But I cannot possibly imagine that we are in the last days. Disease certainly is not an indication of it."
Jax shrugs slightly, "Perhaps it is a sign. Even if it is, considering our Elder society's concept of time, another millennia could pass before the final nights are faced, or more. There are many signs according to rumors and myths. We have yet to face any sign that indicates a global end of times. Only a fanatic can take something small and insignificant, turning into something important and relevant. In their own mind at least." the small man's watch beeps, just enough to get his attention. Another sigh as he sees the time on his watch, "Alas, I must be on my way for tonight. It has been a pleasure meeting you, despite the circumstances. Ms Vega can explain more if you have any further questions. And if you wish to join us in putting an end to this threat, just let her know to contact you."
Clarimond nods, "I agree. It is possible that such days could come, but you would think that we would feel it in the air. Either way I bid you a pleasant night."
Silvana stands up as if she is going to go with Jax but at his words she pauses to see if Clarimond has questions.
Jax slides off his stool, a bow offered to the Lady. "To you as well, Lady Clarimond." a smile turned up to SIlvana, "Please entertain any questions regarding the raid on the warehouse you can. None should be in the dark on this issue." turning to head out.
