2014.07.04: PWN - LEGACY - Social insurance Part 3
Legacy Wrestling’s upcoming show, Independence Day was just on the horizon and everybody out there was looking forward to the huge match between Duke Andrews and Drew Stevenson. These two men have so much history with each other that it spans years, it spans all over the globe and throughout all of those years? The one man who always reigns supreme in the end was Drew Stevenson and that was nothing but the honest to God truth. Sure, Duke will tell you differently and he will even tell you to "shoot all the facts" when in reality? He is the biggest hypocrite as he only tells half of the story while Drew Stevenson, a man of integrity, a man of honor and dignity always tells the full story.
As we open up in a very lavished home, we see many pieces of art that cost thousands of dollars and we see a trophy case which has several championships in it and on the nameplate of every single one of those championships reads Drew Stevenson. With the camera then panning over to the left, we see the man himself, Drew Stevenson sitting on a very expensive white leather couch while wearing a gray suit looking like the million bucks that he is as Decaine, the best manager in the world, the manager of champions sits on the same couch just a few feet away from him as both men are grinning from ear to ear. Looking at one another briefly, they then return their attention towards the camera as Drew Stevenson begins to speak; he has a lot to say regarding Duke Andrews.
Drew, "Are you serious Duke? Are you seriously going to try to preach to me about facts? That's funny coming from the guy who preached one thing but most certainly didn't practice another. But you know Duke, I have always found you to be a very funny guy-I mean, you actually had the audacity to say that after you beat me-which by the way, will not happen that I of all people will need somebody to give me fifty bucks to travel to the next promotion. Maybe all of those years over in North Carolina I gave you too much credit on being a smart guy. Maybe I put far too much emphasis on thinking that you actually knew what in the hell is going on who I am. You see Duke, I admitted that you and David beat me the last time but let's be honest and utilize those facts that you preached about because you never beat me one-on-one, oh no it was two on one and the two of you barely beat me so get out of here with that nonsense about how you are better than I am or how you will beat me because I will admit that you are good, if that wasn't the case then you would not be here in Legacy Wrestling but you will never be as great as I am."
Staring into the camera, his dark brown eyes narrowed as you could feel the intensity; you could just see the passion and determination in his eyes.
Drew, "Now answer me this Duke, if I have beaten you so many times then what makes you think that I was ever scared of you? Because you tell everybody that I was? Because the way that I see it, a man who preaches about telling the whole story and utilizing facts but then turns around and does the opposite makes you the biggest hypocrite of all since you don't practice what you preach and I am not a fan of hypocrites Duke!"
Pausing momentarily, he straightens his jacket as he leans forward clasping his hands together while resting his elbows on the top of his legs.
Drew, "But that's okay, that is perfectly fine because at Independence Day? You have my word Duke, you can bet your bottom dollar and you can bet whatever else you want since I know you are a gambling man that I will beat you. I will make sure that every single person watching on sees that everything that I said is the gospel truth, just as I preach because unlike you Duke-I am a man of my word and I don't pull things out of my ass just to make myself sound better."
Shaking his head from side to side, he is a man who does not have to make up stories or pull things out of his ass because he always has the facts on his side. Flashing a very arrogant smirk, he simply does that just to piss Duke off, just to further rub salt in the already open wound between these two.
Drew, "You know what I like about you Duke? You make it easy for me to get under your skin, I mean, you have to try to open up a can of worms and get personal in hopes to get under my skin but at the end of the day? You will fail just like you will fail in that ring against me and Independence Day. Oh yeah Duke, you and I both know it-now I know that you will never admit it because deep down? You really do think that you actually stand a chance but you are going to find out first hand that when reality smacks you in the face? Reality's name is Drew Stevenson and you have never liked reality!"
With his grin growing wider, he simply pauses for a moment to let Duke absorb his every word, to make sure that Duke knows exactly what he is getting himself into at Independence Day when he faces his nemesis, Drew Stevenson.
Drew, "But I don't need to tell you that because you already know it. I remember watching you in Chicago, I remember every time that you lost you would doubt yourself; you would sit back in that locker room with your little head up against the locker and you would begin to think that maybe it was time to retire. I remember taking many seats on that bench with you, I remember telling you "no man, don't retire, you still have a lot left in you" when all I was ever doing Duke was simply being nice."
There it is folks, the look of the devil glowing in his eyes as he continues to speak.
Drew, "Oh yeah man, I did that and do you know why I did that Duke? Because I never got tired of beating you in that ring. It was always great to look at your face knowing that you could never beat me, it was always great hearing people talk about how you just wish you could beat me one-on-one but you never could Duke and that tradition will not start now because at Independence Day? You still won't beat me!"
Once again shaking his head, he continues to flash that devilish smirk while continuing to speak.
Drew, "It will feel like Chicago all over again when you wake up realizing that you are flat on your back and staring up at the bright lights. It will hit home because you will know firsthand that I am the best in wrestling, you will know that every single time that I step into a wrestling ring-I put asses in those seats and not a soul can deny it because I am Drew Stevenson, I am the man that you have always been jealous of and I am the man that you've always wished you could be. Oh yeah, you make little jokes about how I slept my way to the top in Michigan but you and I both know that was never the case. The reason that I made it to the top was because I was the best that they had, I was the man that every single person wanted to be and I was the man that every woman wanted to be with and if you need further proof of that; then just go ask Nicolette, that little blonde on your arm who I used to see looking me up and down licking her chops as if I was a piece of meat, as if I was the real vitamin D that you could never give her."
Winking at the camera, he continued to flash that traditional Stevenson smirk knowing that he would piss Duke off and get under his skin more than ever after that remark about his woman, Nicolette.
Drew, "Oh don't worry Duke, I'm not going to strip Nicolette off your arm because I don't want her. You see Duke, you don't have anything that I want because you have always wanted to be me-not the other way around and I'm going to prove that at Independence Day when I see the jealousy in your eyes as you and I stand across the ring from each other. I will laugh, and I will then proceed to beat you from pillar to post, I will out wrestle you in front of all of the California fans making sure that just like the Lakers, you simply fall short just like they did this year Duke!"
Grinning from ear to ear, he has a pretty good feeling that every single fan in California wants to punch him in the throat right now-that they will want to see Duke beat him and to be their personal hero but that is not going to happen because nobody can beat Drew Stevenson, the man is god’s gift to wrestling and Decaine knows that because he chose to be Drew's manager. Leaning back to get comfortable, he separates his hands and places them behind his head as Decaine, the best manager in the business today flashes a smile and begins to tear into Duke.
Decaine, "Let's not get our facts confused now Duke because everybody knows the reason why you are in the main event this week is because of this man right here…"
Stretching out his right arm, he extends his index finger out and points right at Drew Stevenson who sits very comfortably with a grin running along his handsomely chiseled face.
Decaine, "... DREW STEVENSON, the absolute best that this business has ever seen and his accolades and achievements speak for themselves. You see, I don't ever have to run around screaming Drew's accolades because people already know just who this man is-they know exactly what he is about and they know that when push comes to shove? They know that they don't stand a chance against my client within the confinement of a wrestling ring and you will learn that once again just like Matlock will learn that real soon!"
Smiling, he tilts his head to the left and just stares into the camera-nothing but arrogance in his voice and coursing through his veins.
Decaine, "Because you see Duke, this man, Drew Stevenson? He is the very reason that you have a business to compete in. He is the very reason that this business has gone as mainstream as it has because without him? This business could arguably be dead! So I would think that you would show this man more respect instead of disrespecting him like you have because in case you don't know-this man ended Alyssa Pryde's career which means that *I* am the one behind the one who ate the career of the one who ate faces."
Looking as serious as a heart attack, that devilish grin slowly stretched along his face as he was not finished just yet.
Decaine, "What that means is that my client is the most dangerous man in this business. He went into Alyssa's own environment and he beat the crap out of her until she surrendered, he had her on her hands and knees begging for mercy and if you're not careful Duke-you have our word that you will be the next in line to have your career ate as well. So from one man to another Duke, I suggest that you show Mr. Stevenson the respect that he deserves because WE hold your fate in the palm of our hands. Now we all know that you will disagree with that, we know that you will tell the world differently but go ahead and talk Duke-let the world hear what their hero has to say one last time because at Independence Day? You have my word Duke that this little Superman act that you are putting on? It will not end very well because that heart that you preach that you have? You have my word that my client, Drew Stevenson also known as Doomsday will rip your beating heart right out of your chest and he will hold it up for the world to see. So here's a little advice, I hope that you came prepared and I hope that you have life insurance for Nicolette because my client? He came prepared and what he came prepared to do was DESTROY and what my client wants-my client GETS!"
Looking at the Rolex on his wrist, it was almost as if Decaine knew exactly what time it was because he looked into the camera once again and ended this promo.
Decaine, "Now if you'll excuse us Duke, my client has an appointment."
As both men get to their feet, they head towards the front door of Drew's house as they exit his very ritzy home. Shutting the door behind them, the camera simply fades to black as there is nothing further to record.
