[The scene opens in a locker room as it looks like Hayden Phoenix is getting taped up and ready for some sort of activity. He takes white bandage tape and wraps his fingers, angles, and wrists. The camera moves in closer as Phoenix sees the camera come into his vision. As he continues to tape up, he addresses the camera]

[Phoenix] - We are only a few short days from the Indepdence Day card, where I will get to make my debut against Ian Windermear. There has been some back and forth, and that is to be expected; that said, I do not take him lightly, nor do I take any opponent lightly. I've always been trained to not underestimate any opponent, no matter how big they are, how experienced they are, or how successful they are... whether or not I think I can beat them. I am being hailed as a "Prospect" in this company, and while I appreciate that acknowledgement, I have yet to prove myself in the ring. Let's leave all names, titles, or declarations out of it until after my match this week and I can show what I bring to the table against Ian. You may think I am softening up or taking Ian lightly, but to the contrary I am not... I am just confident in myself. I see this week as a chance to begin in LEGACY on a roll and get things going early. And the thought of the authority and their news about the championships this weekend as well only further pushes me forward to pursue gold here in LEGACY. It excites me and I hope that early on I will be involved with some of that gold; that said I cannot take my eye off of the ball and this week I am going one-on-one with Ian Windermear.

[Phoenix begins to slide his boots on over the taped up ankles]

[Phoenix] - I don't want to be long-winded here, and I have said plenty this week. I don't want to sit here and rehash things that I have already said that I will do because at the end of the day I will be walking out of that ring with a win and Ian will be walking out down 0 and 2. There is nothing keeping me from winning my match this week; not Ian, not the fans, not the authority, not the ref, not even myself... I have full confidence in myself and I know what it takes to get that One....Two.... THREE! I decided that is was time I left my comfort zone in Ontario, came here to the U.S. and I am going to make an impression beginning with day one. Years of experience up there, years of matches and training... I have taken my fair share of bumps and earn my fair share of bruises. I have paid my due, and this week it is unfortunate that Ian will be the one I will have to cash those dues in on. This is not a funny game, this is no laughing matter; I mean business, and from the moment that my music hits to the moment when my arms are raises in the air as the winner it is nothing but business. Nine to five, punching the clock, professional business. Some people like to make a joke of their job or enjoy this business as it is fun... some do it for the fame, money, women, cars, whatever. I do it because I love it, I have passion for it. I bleed for my sport. I give all for my sport. It doesn't matter if they fans are on my side or not. It doesn't matter if I am facing one man or I am facing twenty men; I still give the same effort. I pride myself on my devotion to my craft. There is no one out there that can say that they give as much as I do. That is what passion does for me. And I am sure Ian will have something snarky to say; and that is the difference between him and I. I make it known who I am and what I am going to do, he simply tries to spin everything into a game... into some sort of mind games, some sort of he is better than me. He might be more talented, or more athletic... but ask any athlete, if you have the talent and not the passion, you will not be anything. I have that passion, I have that drive, I have the will to succeed. I have worked at this, I have devoted my body to it. I have permanent scars, I have marks, I have pains... but they are why I do it. Everytime I get hurt, I smile a bit... it means I am doing my job right. If I am not putting myself and my body on the line, why even try? I give everything to this sport, and nothing less..... Nothing Less.

[Phoenix stands up and walks out of the locker room as the camera remains focused on the white bandage tape now sitting on the bench as it fades out to black]
